In addition to having the book for sale and the original Casascius eBook freely available, I would like to offer a service to list rare valuable coins. It is simple: send me photos of your coin, a description, a BTC price, and country. If I am contacted by someone looking to buy the coin, I can either broker the sale or put them directly in contact with you. For now, I will be listing all items for free. Later on, I plan to charge a 5-10% 'connection fee' for sales through the site. Of course, the list price can be so adjusted to reflect this. so we have to pay within 12h but we won't get it till like August???
I'm pretty sure that's correct, but I don't know the date. If it makes you feel better, I bought a signature series edition of the first one back in like December (I think?), and I am still waiting for it! (PDF is fine for now)! Just so it is on the record.. the books are being distributed next week! MinerJones is taking care of it, and is excellent at what he does. The delays that took place with the paper-back will not happen this time around  12h is not a hard deadline, more to keep the train moving. Timeline for production:Task-list 1 Howard sends out labels Labels signed & holograms sealed Labels sent back to Howard Howard puts labels into sets Task-list 2 Minor book edits are completed Book size is re-formatted. Cover is designed. Book is submitted, along with metadata. Allow 1 week for approval Book is printed. Allow up to 12 business days (hard-covers take longer) Book is shipped to distributor (2-3 days) Combined tasks: Affix all labels to the books Books are packaged and and sent off to buyers |

Another version of the book this early? I can't really say that I like the idea. However, I'll keep my eye out on this one. Things will certainly get interesting once you release the first batch.
To clarify, the book content is the exactly same (save for some spelling corrections, etc). It it just the format that is changing. That said, a 2017 book is planned for early next year, at which point the collector base has hopefully grown. |

It is a combination of the 'base' price for the hard cover, and the label set. You can make an educated guess by knowing that the paperback (with more numbers availible) originally sold for just over $100. Actually i would really like to know a Rough price Will it be below 200$ ?? I will give you some hints; Autographs for many very obscure celebrities often are $10-$20 at conventions to sign something of yours, which they aren't factoring in the medium to sign on, shipping back & forth internationally (hopefully no customs), packaging, and time. The pricing for these isn't cheap, but its within the normal range for autographs, especially for a limited serialized set.
Pricing is planned to be $10 per autograph, sold only as a complete set. Total edition will be 50 sets made, but all coin makers participating will be given a set out of the 50. Total amount released to buyers will be TBD once I know how many coin makers are participating.
17+ signatures are included, and both comments were made before the holograms were added. It is also safe to say that the 50 quantity (larger size) hard-cover will have a higher base price then the 100 quantity paper-back. |

I don't know about you, but my current forum time (top right corner) is 19:23, meaning 7:23pm. That is also the current time in New York (EDT).
That's however a custom time setting, which can be adjusted in your settings ( here), where an offset of 0 would mean default forum time, which is essentially the same as UTC/GMT. Post has been changed to EDT time |

"In regards to the Autographs Edition, and the first 5 members to PM me (at 18:00:00 or later) will be given 12h to pay" I can just see everyone now watching the forum clock and getting ready to hit send all at once in my head already!  Ohhh ok, I missed that bit at the top. It will be PM bombing... bummer. One note on time then... The OP says "18:00:00 Forum Time on June 7th, 2016 (6pm New York Time)" Is Forum Time in EDT or UTC/GMT? I always assumed UTC/GMT, making that 2pm New York time. Please clarify.. with a link to a clock-site so there is no confusion. I don't know about you, but my current forum time (top right corner) is 19:23, meaning 7:23pm. That is also the current time in New York (EDT). And yes, this will essentially be a PM-bombing. I figured that it is nice to try something new. Now that elianite has let the cat out of the bag, 20 of the 50 sets will be allocated to the Hard Cover edition. Same signatures, holos, and extras in both.
So those of you already with First Edition Paperback Regular or Signature books will be able to add these labels to your existing books. Anyone looking for a new book, can buy one of the new Hardcovers from elianite.
There will also likely be 3 sets allocated to minerjones for new sales of the Paperback too.
We're trying to appeal to both new and existing book collectors.
To add, the Hard Cover will be significantly larger in size. This means that there will be more white-space, and the signature labels will thus look much better. Since it is hard-cover, it is made to be displayed and is expected to be very durable (less likely to get bent, greasy, or stained like a paperback). Premium stuff. |
