You know what would be more funny and bizarre situation?

People betting on these games with full seriousness and then ending up on losing side by losing bet Grin

So tomorrow is the live match between India and Srilanka. Any guess who will win the match so i can bet and not lose  Roll Eyes

Please bet on SL...

My prediction : India Bats first and SL is going to chase down the target easily.. Sangakara wins the World Cup for his team by hitting six...  Cheesy

Haha, nice

Srilanka was a good team back then. They had good bowlers and good batting line up and it was really possible for them to beat India. History cannot be changed, India won that match comfortably.

I feel value of Bitcoin wouldn't exist if fiat was not injected into it. Supply of Bitcoin will get reduced after the halving but demand will only increase if investors have the money to buy it.

Current economic situation will result in global recession. This will affect the purchasing power of investors and common man. Resulting in global economic meltdown. Which will also affect the price of Bitcoin.
5843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 31, 2020, 04:33:23 AM
This is only a time where it is underrated. Once we start WIPL may be for a year or so it would not get a good response but definitely in coming times we will see a good response and if it done by India where people are crazy of cricket and if get some good support from celebrity as well people will come to see them and surely we will have a packed stadium as well. Only a matter of time before it starts getting to pick up.

Being an Indian, I am a bit more skeptical about the future of the WIPL. Even matches involving the national women's team doesn't get a good response within India. In Australia, the women have a lot of interest in sports and a lot of them follow women players such as Ellyse Perry. But here in India, women are more interested in TV sops and shopping, rather than in sports. Among my female friends, there are only a very few cricket fans.

But that doesn't mean that BCCI can ignore the women players. They need to start the WIPL, latest by 2021.

Its worth giving a shot IMO, earlier the better. I am also not sure about the viewers we would get but its worth giving a shot. People here love cricket so if the tournament falls off from or doesn't clashes on with gents cricket team schedule, I think it should be fine.

BCCI can try with one season and see how much successful it gets.
India is big country and they have very good media as well so they can give this a try as its really could be game changer for them as its happen in IPL now Indian team is producing so many talented guys this can also bring many women those will do very good for their national team may this is not profitable as most of believe but still its need a good chance from BCCI with 6 teams is also good.

When they are discussing politics they are biased other than that they are good when it comes to sports and all. I mostlynavoid watching Indian news channels if they are discussing politics.

Meanwhile BCCI planning to organise IPL between August and September. This show their desperation. I am still not sure how will they do it as the situation in India is getting worst day by day.nAremthey so confident that the situation will become normal by that time.

I just checked cricinfo and they are showing Live India Vs Pakistan Match ?  How is that possible ?

Sideeffects of locked down coming out very quickly  Cheesy Grin

Edit: This match was played nine years back on this day so just because of this they are doing this all today.

Not only cricinfo, but star sports was playing this full match (not highlights) on their channel.

Due to this lockdown, many people may lose their jobs like espncricinfo commentators who did the written commentary on all the  live matches, have nothing to do these days (except today  Wink )

Lol

Mental illness is another issue of quarantine.

Why add Live and mislead the viewers? Struggling to survive I guess that is why they are using such tactics to lure viewers and calm down the advertiser.
5845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL Mutual Pool Discussion. on: March 29, 2020, 07:45:52 AM
Wear n95 masks ad stay away from any individuals while you are working.Be safe buddy. Smiley
Thanks for the concern. My work will be ensuring the proper movement of essential goods and services in the state, mostly supervising work. So, I guess that I would be roaming around the city in the vehicle allotted. And I heard that the vehicles are disinfected daily and that they will provide masks.  But the one thing that I learned is that using N95 Masks/Respirators are not advisable to be used unless you are a health care personnel, who attend to the infected or having respiratory issues. It just gives you false hope to the user and unnecessary usage will only result in the hike of mask prices. The most effective recommendation from WHO is maintaining hand hygiene and social distancing. Check:- https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public/when-and-how-to-use-masks.
I will say don't risk your life, wear mask when you are at outside environment because it is proves that virus can be alive in the air for 3 to 4 hours so who knows it may hit you while you are roaming and at the time if you don't have any mask on then it will straightly go inside.
Of course, I am going to use the mask when they are given by the Government for free. But, COVID 19 ranges < 0.2 microns and travels via aerosols particles of the size range 0.5 - 3 microns resultant from coughing or sneezing, while the respirators can only filter particles >0.3 microns. Maybe it will block the aerosols not the virus. I believe that it's a common misconception that masks/respirators are going to protect us from viruses.
Anyways, sorry for derailing this topic towards Corona. Let's stick to the possibility of having IPL this year. Smiley

Edit: Got some facts wrong edited accordingly.

What I am aware of is tha the virus is the size of 1/5 of water molecule, so mask is useless if you think it will prevent you from this virus but, it is beneficial to others if you already have the virus and do not want others to have it. The only preventive measure that you can take is to stop putting your hand on you face. Which of course is difficult as we tend to put our hands 23 times on our face in one hour.

That's why the emphasis is on cleaning our hands constantly with sanitizer or soap.
5846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: New suggestion for unpaid bounties on: March 29, 2020, 07:39:34 AM
What did you learn in altcoins, those projects didn't paid bounty hunters even after successful. We can gather information by all unpaid bounties and with reasons why didn't paid. For us this is very hard when our good research is successful but admin cheated to bounty hunters. List why didn't paid, your experience and history about unpaid projects
All I learned from altcoins is they are full of nonsense ideas that people or investors don't want to get involved with, too many repetitive projects in crypto world today and investors are sick of it, a project that's good enough will never disappoint and bounty hunters will definitely get good rewards from them

Not all of them are nonsense some of them were really good. The last bounty that I joined was in 2019 and it was for atomi wallet. It was one of the best bounties considering the market condition in 2019. It went till late that year and they paid the amount within the time allocated by them.

It all depends on the type of bounties you choose. This year I doubt any bounties will be good considering the present world situation.
5847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the new method of "Initial offering" this year? on: March 29, 2020, 07:14:41 AM
I doubt new projects will be venturing into the markets now. It will be a very foolish idea to start an IEO now. It is better to wait at the moment. Things are pretty bad at this time and till a vaccine is out it will get much worst.

Startups should wait till next year as by that time a vaccine against this deadly virus should be out.
5848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOT (HOLO) good to invest ?? on: March 29, 2020, 07:07:46 AM
Invest in more stable coins than in something which you are not sure about. I would not recommend you this coin in these market condition. Things can go pretty bad starting April. So avoid any kind of investment now.

DYOR.
5849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2020 be exactly what we hoped for anymore on: March 29, 2020, 07:05:12 AM
Good day friends and family on here, here are few questions disturbing my little mind since I wasn't expecting this virus this year, I thought this year will actually be the best since years ago, but it seems I'm wrong

1. Will Bitcoin halving have impact on crypto market this year with the virus outbreak?
2. Is Coronavirus benefiting crypto at all?
3. Will New projects be able to proceed with launching and development in this outbreak?
4. What do you think will happen to bounties this year ?

1. It would have been much easier to answer this question if we did not have this deadly virus outbreak.
2. I do not think so as it is a crisis situation and in such scenario people tend to keep their Fiat handy with themselves. Therefore you are seeing panic selling and less investment.
3. They will delay for now.
4. Bounties are dead.
5850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: March 29, 2020, 05:06:39 AM
In my country there is a lockdown for 15 days or untill the government decides therefore, not interested in gambling at the moment as trying to save fiat for emergency situation that might arise in the future.

To kill the time I have now enjoying the shows on Amazon prime and Netflix. Not much to watch still watching whatever is available. Also using this time to work more on my blog .

After the situation comes to normal I will then start my gambling routine.
5851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: March 29, 2020, 05:01:07 AM
In my country their is a lockdown  and since I have to stay indoors for the next 15 days or untill the government in my country decides I have been working on my blog and writing replies on this forum. I have also recently subscribed to Netflix and enjoying movies and show there. Apart from that having a gala time with my kid and wife.
5852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not we donate some Bitcoin for corona virus? on: March 29, 2020, 04:51:40 AM
[snip]
What I plan is very simple:

1 we collect Bitcoin.
2 we should know someone who can convert Bitcoin tol local fiat.
3 we then ask them to transfer that money to the needy or send foods and other necessary items to them.
Well, all of these are pretty good ideas if you have the credibility to hold the fund. Sorry not to offend you but of course, we need to have a trusted person who handling the fund. Or we can communicate any trusted organizations like charity to collect the fund and help Chinese people out there who were infected on the nCov. But I really impressed with what CEO Binance did. They have pledged to help victims of the coronavirus in Wuhan, China. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance pledged to donate 10 million Chinese yuan ($1.44 million) to the effort.[source]. Indeed, we can coordinate them (Binance Charity Foundation) to send the fund and they were directly sending help to the Chinese government.

This statement is a strong one. We cannot just put all our money to a person or something because why if they will not donate it a hundred percent? When can just help them personally. And besides government and other facilities are not or do not support cryptocurrency so it is hard to entrust out investments or part of our investments into one. But if it gives me assurance then why not donate right? We all wanted to end this plague we are all affected in this thing. Even our cryptocurrency are going down and even the stock market is down because of this plague so lets be as one and cooperate to end this.

It's of no use now to send Bitcoin to those in need. Things were okay at that time when I created this post but most of the community members had a negative approach to my idea.

The whole world is now under suffering because of the deadly virus now and we need to take care of ourselves and our family members more than anyone else. Governments of different countries are now in action and they know what is good for their citizens.
5853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: March 29, 2020, 03:13:49 AM
In short, is the martingale strategy in betting in such gambling games such as roulette and dice do really is effective strategy? For example, what if you are winning, and every time you win, you double your bets, and basically apply the martingale strategy, which is to double your bet when you lose.

Would that make a huge impact to your funds? I haven't tried it so far, but for me, I don't that is really effective as if we lose, we aren't really going to win right after, because there is still a possibility of losing once again.
It's effective if the proportion of your initial amount per bet is too small compare to your capital. It's too risky to do that with automated bet because the house edge can make you zero within just minutes and for sure it's too difficult to stop as the machine places bets than the speed of your thinking wethere what decision you should take place. I myself is using martingale strategy but I don't stick with thus house edge can't predict what I'm thinking of.

The longer you use martingale the less effective it become. I only use it for a few rounds and stops when I win. If I continue losing I stop. I tried doing it with small amount and continuosly  lost until my balance went down to zero. It is still best to either combine different strategies or stick to your own gameplan.

No one can crack the system, you can try all those tricks but in the end you always lose. I have also tried it in many occasions it does start with positive outcome and as the game progresses it goes against you. It only works for short duration and not for long streak.
5854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best ways of making BTC Not trackable on: March 28, 2020, 07:52:52 PM
The problem with exchange it is that upto 2 BTC there is no need for KYC but anything bigger than that you have to go through KYC. I think the best option is to deal BTC over the counter.

Buy BTC using an exchange then transfer it to your wallet and later on convert it to fiat over the counter. The only issue is to find a reliable buyer.

Anyways Bitcoin was not created for the sake of anonymity but for decentralisation. If you want to hide your transactions always use privacy centric coins.
5855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 28, 2020, 07:47:00 PM
Don't know about WIPL being as much popular as the current IPL as the craze is much less compared to the current one. Also, I don't know the names of the current Women Cricketers to be excited about it. It's just because they don't get as much recognition like Sania Mirza or Sania Nehwal.
Women cricket is underrated I think. It deserves more buzz than current. Indian Women team is pretty much good team as far as I know. WIPL would be a great edition for women cricket to be flourished.

WIPL would be a great edition and BCCI should give it a go. Let the crowd decide how it goes? I am sure it will attract a lot of women spectators too. This event will also generate revenue for BCCI, I do not see anything stopping from it to happen next year.
5856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is a good time on: March 28, 2020, 07:27:20 PM
Let's be honest here, Covid-19 has brought about a lot of changes which includes quarantine. And there's one thing I'm sure of; one of the people to make gain in this season are our service providers. I mean, everyone stays at home and there's probably an 80% probability that they would spend more time on the internet. Now, let's also think of this; don't you think that this is a good time to promote btc (online)? Imagine, most people presently are off their work desk and are surfing the net. I really think that this is a good time to promote btc online. If people hear more about it, it'll keep brightening the future of btc.
I have two questions for you. What have always hindered you from reaching out to people (online) and 2, would you agree with me and support the promotion of bitcoin in this season??

I agree that most us are under lockdown or self quarantine but, that does not mean we are interested in investing now. People are dying everyday in thousands. They are more concerned in saving their lives and the loved ones. They will be more interested in saving their Fiat for using it in desperate situation. Considering the situation we are in now it can be easily called as desperate situation to survive. If we promote Bitcoin now it will give a negative image to it than positive.
5857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk has been blocked in Russia because of Gambling advertisement on: March 28, 2020, 05:59:03 PM

strange that they block a crypto forum all because there were gambling ads. they could just bann the gambling sites since online gambling is illegal to them. a message could be banning cryptocurrency  Grin

Indeed. I think that the ads is not the reason why the blacklisted the forum.
In the end, they could just block the cryptocurrency ads not banning the whole forum.
Cryptocurrencies are what they do not want...

Banning the forum is not a good decision by them. I know there are many Russians here on the forum. They will not be liking this decision. I am sure you can still access the forum through VPN if you are in Russia. Anyone who is in Russia can tell us the exact situation.

They did not wanted cryptocurrency to be discussed by their citizens, it is not just gambling. Everyone know how big BTT is in crypto world.

Russian liking this decision or not is a completely different discussion but, the Russian crypto community is very pissed off after this ban that I am certain.

Through VPN you can easily get access to  any website banned by your country. The government might have forgotten this fact.
5858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: convert bitcoin address to ethereum address on: March 28, 2020, 05:48:43 PM
I would not be surprised if one day I see you complain that your funds are stolen because you downloaded some file from some website. How convenient it must be for hackers that someone would actually use their work and hand their private keys.

The way OP is trying to convince everyone here makes it more evident that he has no clue what can happen to his Bitcoin wallet. It is already compromised and chances of it getting hacked is pretty high.

How on the earth is it possible to use a same privately on  two different Blockchain. They both work on different algorithm. You can fool yourself and not others.
5859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto pair do you swap most often? on: March 28, 2020, 05:40:16 PM
My favourite is always my local currency to BTC and vice versa. When the market is down I tend to move to BTC/ USDT and when ist is sideways or going up I then shift to USDT/BTC. It all depends on the market condition.

My favourite altcoin is Ethereum and I follow the same pattern for it too.
5860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Hardware wallet really secure enough? on: March 28, 2020, 12:33:48 AM
No none of the wallets are secure.

It is you who has to keep them secure just like your fiat wallet.

Hardware wallets are better than all other wallet as they are not always online, which means they are not vunerable to hacks and online theft.

But, they still can be stolen and lost.
