5981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the new method of "Initial offering" this year? on: March 29, 2020, 07:14:41 AM
I doubt new projects will be venturing into the markets now. It will be a very foolish idea to start an IEO now. It is better to wait at the moment. Things are pretty bad at this time and till a vaccine is out it will get much worst.

Startups should wait till next year as by that time a vaccine against this deadly virus should be out.
5982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOT (HOLO) good to invest ?? on: March 29, 2020, 07:07:46 AM
Invest in more stable coins than in something which you are not sure about. I would not recommend you this coin in these market condition. Things can go pretty bad starting April. So avoid any kind of investment now.

DYOR.
5983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2020 be exactly what we hoped for anymore on: March 29, 2020, 07:05:12 AM
Good day friends and family on here, here are few questions disturbing my little mind since I wasn't expecting this virus this year, I thought this year will actually be the best since years ago, but it seems I'm wrong

1. Will Bitcoin halving have impact on crypto market this year with the virus outbreak?
2. Is Coronavirus benefiting crypto at all?
3. Will New projects be able to proceed with launching and development in this outbreak?
4. What do you think will happen to bounties this year ?

1. It would have been much easier to answer this question if we did not have this deadly virus outbreak.
2. I do not think so as it is a crisis situation and in such scenario people tend to keep their Fiat handy with themselves. Therefore you are seeing panic selling and less investment.
3. They will delay for now.
4. Bounties are dead.
5984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: March 29, 2020, 05:06:39 AM
In my country there is a lockdown for 15 days or untill the government decides therefore, not interested in gambling at the moment as trying to save fiat for emergency situation that might arise in the future.

To kill the time I have now enjoying the shows on Amazon prime and Netflix. Not much to watch still watching whatever is available. Also using this time to work more on my blog .

After the situation comes to normal I will then start my gambling routine.
5985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: March 29, 2020, 05:01:07 AM

5986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not we donate some Bitcoin for corona virus? on: March 29, 2020, 04:51:40 AM
[snip]
What I plan is very simple:

1 we collect Bitcoin.
2 we should know someone who can convert Bitcoin tol local fiat.
3 we then ask them to transfer that money to the needy or send foods and other necessary items to them.
Well, all of these are pretty good ideas if you have the credibility to hold the fund. Sorry not to offend you but of course, we need to have a trusted person who handling the fund. Or we can communicate any trusted organizations like charity to collect the fund and help Chinese people out there who were infected on the nCov. But I really impressed with what CEO Binance did. They have pledged to help victims of the coronavirus in Wuhan, China. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance pledged to donate 10 million Chinese yuan ($1.44 million) to the effort.[source]. Indeed, we can coordinate them (Binance Charity Foundation) to send the fund and they were directly sending help to the Chinese government.

This statement is a strong one. We cannot just put all our money to a person or something because why if they will not donate it a hundred percent? When can just help them personally. And besides government and other facilities are not or do not support cryptocurrency so it is hard to entrust out investments or part of our investments into one. But if it gives me assurance then why not donate right? We all wanted to end this plague we are all affected in this thing. Even our cryptocurrency are going down and even the stock market is down because of this plague so lets be as one and cooperate to end this.

It's of no use now to send Bitcoin to those in need. Things were okay at that time when I created this post but most of the community members had a negative approach to my idea.

The whole world is now under suffering because of the deadly virus now and we need to take care of ourselves and our family members more than anyone else. Governments of different countries are now in action and they know what is good for their citizens.
5987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: March 29, 2020, 03:13:49 AM
In short, is the martingale strategy in betting in such gambling games such as roulette and dice do really is effective strategy? For example, what if you are winning, and every time you win, you double your bets, and basically apply the martingale strategy, which is to double your bet when you lose.

Would that make a huge impact to your funds? I haven't tried it so far, but for me, I don't that is really effective as if we lose, we aren't really going to win right after, because there is still a possibility of losing once again.
It's effective if the proportion of your initial amount per bet is too small compare to your capital. It's too risky to do that with automated bet because the house edge can make you zero within just minutes and for sure it's too difficult to stop as the machine places bets than the speed of your thinking wethere what decision you should take place. I myself is using martingale strategy but I don't stick with thus house edge can't predict what I'm thinking of.

The longer you use martingale the less effective it become. I only use it for a few rounds and stops when I win. If I continue losing I stop. I tried doing it with small amount and continuosly  lost until my balance went down to zero. It is still best to either combine different strategies or stick to your own gameplan.

No one can crack the system, you can try all those tricks but in the end you always lose. I have also tried it in many occasions it does start with positive outcome and as the game progresses it goes against you. It only works for short duration and not for long streak.
5988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best ways of making BTC Not trackable on: March 28, 2020, 07:52:52 PM
The problem with exchange it is that upto 2 BTC there is no need for KYC but anything bigger than that you have to go through KYC. I think the best option is to deal BTC over the counter.

Buy BTC using an exchange then transfer it to your wallet and later on convert it to fiat over the counter. The only issue is to find a reliable buyer.

Anyways Bitcoin was not created for the sake of anonymity but for decentralisation. If you want to hide your transactions always use privacy centric coins.
5989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 28, 2020, 07:47:00 PM
Don't know about WIPL being as much popular as the current IPL as the craze is much less compared to the current one. Also, I don't know the names of the current Women Cricketers to be excited about it. It's just because they don't get as much recognition like Sania Mirza or Sania Nehwal.
Women cricket is underrated I think. It deserves more buzz than current. Indian Women team is pretty much good team as far as I know. WIPL would be a great edition for women cricket to be flourished.

WIPL would be a great edition and BCCI should give it a go. Let the crowd decide how it goes? I am sure it will attract a lot of women spectators too. This event will also generate revenue for BCCI, I do not see anything stopping from it to happen next year.
5990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is a good time on: March 28, 2020, 07:27:20 PM
Let's be honest here, Covid-19 has brought about a lot of changes which includes quarantine. And there's one thing I'm sure of; one of the people to make gain in this season are our service providers. I mean, everyone stays at home and there's probably an 80% probability that they would spend more time on the internet. Now, let's also think of this; don't you think that this is a good time to promote btc (online)? Imagine, most people presently are off their work desk and are surfing the net. I really think that this is a good time to promote btc online. If people hear more about it, it'll keep brightening the future of btc.
I have two questions for you. What have always hindered you from reaching out to people (online) and 2, would you agree with me and support the promotion of bitcoin in this season??

I agree that most us are under lockdown or self quarantine but, that does not mean we are interested in investing now. People are dying everyday in thousands. They are more concerned in saving their lives and the loved ones. They will be more interested in saving their Fiat for using it in desperate situation. Considering the situation we are in now it can be easily called as desperate situation to survive. If we promote Bitcoin now it will give a negative image to it than positive.
5991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk has been blocked in Russia because of Gambling advertisement on: March 28, 2020, 05:59:03 PM

strange that they block a crypto forum all because there were gambling ads. they could just bann the gambling sites since online gambling is illegal to them. a message could be banning cryptocurrency  Grin

Indeed. I think that the ads is not the reason why the blacklisted the forum.
In the end, they could just block the cryptocurrency ads not banning the whole forum.
Cryptocurrencies are what they do not want...

Banning the forum is not a good decision by them. I know there are many Russians here on the forum. They will not be liking this decision. I am sure you can still access the forum through VPN if you are in Russia. Anyone who is in Russia can tell us the exact situation.

They did not wanted cryptocurrency to be discussed by their citizens, it is not just gambling. Everyone know how big BTT is in crypto world.

Russian liking this decision or not is a completely different discussion but, the Russian crypto community is very pissed off after this ban that I am certain.

Through VPN you can easily get access to  any website banned by your country. The government might have forgotten this fact.
5992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: convert bitcoin address to ethereum address on: March 28, 2020, 05:48:43 PM
I would not be surprised if one day I see you complain that your funds are stolen because you downloaded some file from some website. How convenient it must be for hackers that someone would actually use their work and hand their private keys.

The way OP is trying to convince everyone here makes it more evident that he has no clue what can happen to his Bitcoin wallet. It is already compromised and chances of it getting hacked is pretty high.

How on the earth is it possible to use a same privately on  two different Blockchain. They both work on different algorithm. You can fool yourself and not others.
5993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto pair do you swap most often? on: March 28, 2020, 05:40:16 PM
My favourite is always my local currency to BTC and vice versa. When the market is down I tend to move to BTC/ USDT and when ist is sideways or going up I then shift to USDT/BTC. It all depends on the market condition.

My favourite altcoin is Ethereum and I follow the same pattern for it too.
5994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Hardware wallet really secure enough? on: March 28, 2020, 12:33:48 AM
No none of the wallets are secure.

It is you who has to keep them secure just like your fiat wallet.

Hardware wallets are better than all other wallet as they are not always online, which means they are not vunerable to hacks and online theft.

But, they still can be stolen and lost.
5995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will grow in price faster if the market recovers? on: March 28, 2020, 12:29:26 AM
It is better to stay away from altcoins for now and to accumulate or buy more Bitcoin before the halving. If you still want to invest in altcoins then you should invest in ETH and LINK. The chances of these two coins to explode is very high when the next Bull run arrives. They both have been consistently performing in Bear market.
5996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: March 28, 2020, 12:26:18 AM
I am still holding Bitcoin, BAT and ETH. I had few BNB but sold them when the lockdown was announced in my country. I am still accumulating ETH and Bitcoin at the moment and I hope to continue doing it till the halving.
5997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 28, 2020, 12:23:12 AM
Well, let's just stop worrying about the delay, and let's just hope that it actually takes place in some time in future. Sad
Or let's just hope that everything goes back to normal as soon as possible. We really do not want to keep going like this for the next one or two months or even three+ months. No one really knows which direction we are going in this pandemic situation.

The situation is getting worse with every passing day. We still have another 4 days to go in this month, and the total number of infected people have hit the 560,000 mark. For comparison, one month ago the figure was 86,604 (on February 29). That means that the infection rate has increased by more than 6 times. What if the situation continues next month, with another 6x rise in the infections? I am getting really skeptical about the situation.

There is no doubt that things are getting worst day by day. The number of people infected by this deadly virus has risen sharply. Not to forget the PM of United Kingdom is now infected too. USA has already crossed the 100k mar and in India it is also looking bad. We can only pray for those who losing this battle and who have already lost and stay indoors.

We are now too helpless and miserable. All thanks to China and the delay by world leaders to assess the gravity of this situation.
5998  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Face Lift for Cryptowisser.com! (Feedback Wanted) on: March 27, 2020, 11:33:24 PM
Your website certainly looks more refreshing than the old one. It has a very simple and easy to understand user interface and the color are not hurting the eyes.

The exchange listing is pretty much  non convincing because non of them look like trusted exchanges.i have never heard about them. You need to look into that aspect.

Logo could have been more professional. Overall it is better than the previous version.
5999  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guys avoid panic sell... on: March 27, 2020, 11:16:33 PM
This not a normal situation, everyday 1000 of people are losing their lives. News media is constantly reminding everyone about the miserable situation they are into. People will panic, you cannot stop it.

Then again you, me and most of us here are in lockdown that is another reason for everyone going crazy.

You can only advise everyone not panic but no one is interested in your advise. It is their money and they know what is good for them. Surely when things become normal they might realise their mistake.
6000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 27, 2020, 03:14:26 PM
I say we forget about sports this year as this virus is not going to leave soon.

We need to stick together to defeat this virus until a vaccine is invented. The only way we can defeat this virus is by staying indoors and breaking the chain.

I agree with @amishmanish,

Quote
what we actually need to do is to make your family, colony and locality pass atleast 14 days indoors. If nobody shows any symptoms then you can assume that your own little island is virus-free.

If we are able to secure our little island we then can secure our country.
