61  Local / Pilipinas / Re: HAPPY HALVING MGA KABABAYAN! on: May 04, 2024, 02:46:18 PM

Actually totoo to. Last halving noong 2020, ganitong ganito din yung nangyare sa price ng BTC. Walang movement on the day of the halving and yung transaction fees ay sobrang tumaas sa lahat ng exchanges. Tapos after a few weeks, bumaba pa nga yung price ng BTC pero biglang nag sky rocket after a few weeks/months din.

Almost the same pattern yung nangyayare ngayong halving. Bumaba yung price ng BTC around p3.3m pero ngayon nag rerecover siya to p3.6m and medyo ineexpect ko na baka ma-break niya yung barrier and marereach niya ang p4.0m within a few weeks from now.

If may doubts pa rin kayo on whether to invest or not, now is the time to acquire more BTCs for long-term investment. In fact, medyo pinag bigyan pa nga tayo ni bitcoin ngayon na mag acquire kase bumaba talaga price niya to p3.3m a few days ago.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do casinos require users to verify their identity through a KYC policy? on: May 04, 2024, 02:13:13 PM
I've read a lot of comments in this board stating that a user is required to undergo KYC if their account is suspected of cheating. Can anyone explain how it is necessary related to the subject? A detailed explanation would be better, but everyone's ideas are welcome, as I believe it's worth discussing so gamblers will not be misled regarding this matter, which pops up from time to time.

Cheating covers a wide and broad range of topics that a person may be suspected. It covers all forms of cheating, such as using third-party programs, providing false information, etc.

Now, if an online gambling casino suspects that a certain account is cheating, submitting KYC documents is necessary to know if it validates the form of cheating in which the account was suspected of using. For example, if the online gambling casino sees from his IP address that he is using VPNs, which is exclusively listed as illegal to use on their ToS, submitting their KYC documents can verify on where that person is staying.

At the end of the day, it is definitely within the discretion of the online gambling company to require KYC to their customers. Not only does this imply good faith on the part of the person, it also means that they are willing to comply with all the said requirements that they require.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get your Dad (or Mom) to buy Bitcoin? on: May 04, 2024, 01:14:57 PM
How do you want your mom and dad to understand all these wall of text that you wrote. It will be boring to them and that alone can discourage anyone from listening to you the second time. You must not convince or force anyone to buy bitcoin, so that you will not be held responsible for their actions, when the price of bitcoin goes south or if anything happen to their bitcoin investment.

I could just imagine a person explaining this whole blocks of texts to their parents and as soon as he starts explaining, the parents would quickly lose interest due to the technicalities of cryptocurrencies.

Remember that a person must explain BTC like they are five (5) years old- use simple terms and apply metaphors in order to explain technical and complex information. As soon as they understand the opportunity that it hides, then they may be inclined to invest at some point. But be reminded that you must also keep your expectations low as some parents are very traditionalist- meaning they only invest and exert effort on things that they have experienced before.

Maybe start by telling them about the decentralisation & security features of Bitcoin explaining its potential to protect against inflation & diversify their investment portfolio. Explain the increasing acceptance of Bitcoin by major institutions & highlight its potential for long term growth. Try to address their concerns about the volatility & complexity of Bitcoin by providing education & resources to help them understand & navigate the cryptocurrency market. Think about emphasising the importance of starting with a small investment & go from there.

I think it could also be of help if you can also use financial terms that can be applied to BTC for better understanding of its mechanics. Understanding cryptocurrencies can be a challenge to a beginner but if they are committed enough in learning it, then it can be done quickly.

Lastly, I would also suggest to use third-party materials (e.g. YouTube lectures, etc.). since there are several videos that explain the blockchain in its simplest form.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 04, 2024, 09:27:12 AM
If you don't cash it out, you might end up depressing yourself because you will regret it too late. If I were you, if you know that you have a profit there, you should bring it out if you are a practical person.

Don't let your greed lead you when you continue to play, because that is money and you can withdraw it, so if you have the opportunity to withdraw your winning prize, do it now if I were you.

I have read countless of posts describing the exact point that you have mentioned.

OP, cash it out and avoid greed getting in your way. The more money you keep in your roll, the more temptation would follow that can compel you to recycle those winnings. Remember, gambling is always a 2-way result: you can either win and enjoy it; or you could lose some or everything miserably. When you have already won, call it a day and enjoy your winnings- never-ever let greed dictate your decision.

Good cash and always the right move in bets like that.  Winning 10s of thousands guaranteed is better than a little bit more with zero being the result.  I've seen a bunch of posts lime this and they don't cash.  So many parlays lose with one bet, clearing a large parlay is near impossible (as we can see with the odds) good on you.

I definitely agree with your statement.

The funny thing is, even if I win a relatively small amount of money in gambling, I straight-up cash them out instantly despite the opportunity of betting again. I consider a win as something that rarely happens so might as well take advantage of it.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which device do you prefer for gambling ? on: May 04, 2024, 03:52:04 AM
A lot of gambling sites have emerged during and after the Covid-19 era and a lot of people have since then joined the gambling community.
We now have a wider audience who likes to gamble on desktop, laptop, mobile phone etc...
This poll is to see the most preferred device for gambling which I assume should be desktop as it provides a bigger screen and better user experience than any other device.
But a lot of people prefer mobile phones too and so lets just hit it and see what the actual results are.

Actually my answer depends on where I feel comfortable gambling at.

Initially, I chose laptop since that is the main gadget that I have at my home. I also use my laptop for all online purposes which definitely includes gambling online. But whenever I feel bored or just want to take a quick game of gambling to test out my luck, I usually hit the bed and use my mobile phone for some mobile-friendly applications in gambling.

I would actually, prefer, to gamble using a tablet if I have one. It functions similarly to a mobile phone but with the access of a larger screen and a good display. Since the user-interface (UI) of online gambling websites to a mobile phone is similar to a tablet, the latter would be more convenient and fun especially if you play card games on such device.
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Thanks To All forum members on: May 03, 2024, 06:14:04 PM
This is the reason on why the forum was created in the first place- this is a platform where people would share their experiences, start discussions, and provide useful information that will benefit everyone. Keep on taking advantage of the best cryptocurrency platform and let us create an environment where everyone would help each other for the benefit of having everyone invested (literally) on Bitcoin!

Truly, I really am thankful also for this forum. Not only did it gave useful information about cryptocurrencies but it also provided me an opportunity to have the privilege of working online and earning BTCs in the process. It also gave me the opportunity to at least provide financially for my family as it is very difficult to live in a family of five (5) with only a single father raising us.

This forum has created endless of opportunities and its members are responsible for keeping the forum a place for a healthy discussion to all. Not only did this forum provide an avenue for opportunities but it also gave us a glimpse of whats to come in the future.
67  Economy / Economics / Re: Your aging and retirement plan is your responsibility. on: May 03, 2024, 05:36:34 PM
Unfortunately sometimes I feel like I know a lot of people like this too.

They just get old with no particular plan in life. They aren’t exactly struggling always but they are also not super rich but it seems like it’s just that they don’t care anymore or they have given up already. Either way that is the reason why I think we should start as early as possible to invest for our futures.

I somehow feel guilty after reading this post.

I currently live in a country where job opportunities are considered a luxury. Given the number of competition plus the lack of any government support for job creation, the priorities of our citizens are shifted towards getting a stable and consistent job. Any kind of financial savings (e.g. retirement plan, investments, etc.) are considered a luxury that most probably be prioritized in the far future. The goal first is to secure a consistent flow of income and any kind of retirement plans will come after that.

With this kind of condition, I feel very blessed to discover cryptocurrencies at a relatively young age. I quickly understood its potentials and on what it can do that may benefit me either in the near or far future depending on the price of BTCs.

I just hope that the government would cooperate in providing the best opportunities for our citizens in order for them to start building a mindset of saving for retirement and other investment luxuries.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamers using demo account on: May 03, 2024, 05:10:43 PM
How true is this rumor? This is very popular on our local streamer comment section that streamers is just using a demo account with enhance winning rate on all slot games to showcase huge win while they are playing.

I knew that only slot game provider has the power to change the RTP of the slot games but some of the comment is from other streamers that has same experience on using demo account.

There have been reports where some streamers were caught using a demo account. Not to mention, there were also some streamers who played on a platform with rigged odds- meaning the whole experience was rigged from the very start.

I remember there was this guy who streams CSGO roulette skins on YouTube and there was a time that he showed he won tons of skins worth $1,000+ from demonstrating the gambling platform. At the end, he was exposed on using a demo account or an account that was specifically designed for him to showcase to the people created by the admins on that gambling platform himself.

If you guys really want to gamble, then avoid watching streamers and using the gambling website as basis. This forum exists for a purpose- to warn and to guide potential gamblers from using fake advertisements from rigged gambling websites.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 1xbit violated self exclusion terms, do not want to help on: May 03, 2024, 02:13:56 PM
Again, before you gamble on an online gambling website, please refer to this forum for genuine feedback to have an overview regarding it. As you may know, 1xbit has a very poor reputation in this forum due to consistent reports of scamming its users, changing its ToS that is very prejudicial against its players, and failing to pay its members when it held its signature campaign on the forum.

There are tons of issues surrounding 1xBit and it is not a stranger to the cryptocurrency world. Perhaps, its reputation has been built by negative feedback and reviews from almost all the users. With this information, you should have exercised care and caution when dealing with any kind of online gambling website especially if you are going to pour a significant amount of money to bet.

Going back, I really doubt that you can recover your money from them. If you reached out to their customer support agent but they still failed to honor your payments despite overwhelming evidence, then consider it as money loss on your part. Let this experience teach you to be more vigilant and careful when dealing with any kind of online gambling websites.
Kaya iyon, mag-ingat!

Thank you very much for creating this thread.

Once again, maraming salamat dito OP. Keep it coming and please create more threads that will raise awareness towards hack and potentially dangerous links, wallets, and/or exchanges for everyone.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: It's better to invest now than to regret it in a hospital bed. on: May 02, 2024, 04:54:33 PM
As a rule of thumb, only invest the amount that you are willing to lose. Sure, there are people who have taken advantage of the price of BTC when they acquired it back in 2015+ but do remember that it really takes a strong-willed person to HODL that amount of money until today.

Investments are still currency and money. If there are any medical emergencies that need financial support, then do not hesitate to use your investments as payment to any healthcare or emergency that you may encounter. While I do agree that there may be regrets, always remember that investments are there to give you at least some sort of security in terms of payment to emergencies.

At the end of the day, bitcoin will be there to stay. Take advantage of the halvings and its price jumps. Before you also invest, always check the market, world news, and other factors that may affect its price. Investing in bitcoin will NOT guarantee you positive returns but it will at least give you an opportunity to take advantage of its price increase to turn it into your favor.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Buy a Bonus VS playing Slot on normal Spin - which do you prefer? on: May 02, 2024, 03:48:17 PM
<..snip..>
So, I am here to ask, buying a bonus and playing on normal spins in slot game, which so far, has been more profitable for or to you?

Bonus spins are marketing tools used by online gambling companies in order to retain its players into gambling again. The more spins that you have, the higher the chances that you would be inclined to gamble again on their platform. As a result, the more time that you spend on a gambling website, there is that higher probability that you would have to buy and purchase their bundles to acquire more free spins. It is a simple marketing yet effective for users to would want to gamble long-term.

Personally, if I have a budget for the day, I would opt to purchase the bundle that has any free spins or bonuses. If I already won in the process, then I would also be inclined to cash-out. Remember, you already won and betting again would not guarantee an absolute win on your part.

What I can recommend is that when you have won something on the slots you withdraw it, do not believe in bonuses, or anything like that, slot games are luck and if you were lucky you should not have taken the risk, especially with the 'last one' cash, but that serves as a lesson to you, although it is painful to have lost all that, I recommend not withdrawing, do not believe in free spins Bonuses, games have that type of incentive, but hey, it has to be done. With a win that you had, it is enough to have made it and enjoyed it, in the casino you are lucky and you win that way, you have to Withdraw it, you do not have to try to invent it.

I also agree with your statement.

Like what I have mentioned, bonuses are there for the players to be attracted into gambling again on the platform. Just because it is free, it does not mean that you would win from it. Remember, gambling is a 2-way street: either you win or you lose miserably- pick your choice.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Use your winning responsibly on: May 02, 2024, 02:53:41 PM
One thing I want to let you know is that there is no winning that is a responsible winning you must win based on you are opportune to win a gambling some persons mighty gamble with the precaution but after all they will not Steel wing gambling so that is why I always emphasize that gambling is all about opportunity and the lock so when you don't have such opportunity I don't think that you'll be able to win a gambling, saying that we should do Gamble responsibly I don't think that they is any person that can attest to it that he or she gambled responsibly

I find it funny that majority of my friends play this online gambling game called "scatter" in our local online cash system. Most of them would share their winnings by sending pictures of their wins but some fail miserably. Additionally, they also tend to be consistent on their bets that would mostly negate their winnings at the end.

An example of what I stated above is that my friend would constantly share his winnings but he usually gambles everyday. Sure, he may have won $200 from a $1 bet but eventually everything would be a loss when he used those winnings in order to gamble again on his present and future games.

MORAL OF THE STORY:
If you already won in gambling, consider it as money used. Try your very best not to recycle your winnings and gamble again as remember, the house always win due to the presence of house edge. That is why, if you already won, quit the game and call it a day!
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You Submit KYC Before You Win Big on: May 01, 2024, 05:34:34 PM
My question for casino lovers is that instead of waiting until we win big and are asked to submit KYC documents, will you do it before the casino management or administrator request of it? Is there anyone who has gone ahead to fill out and submit their KYC on their account or by asking their customer support for it way before they even start make a request.

Majority of online gambling websites have their respective ToS regarding the submission of any KYC documents. Also, there are also some websites under their ToS that specifically stipulates that if a person fails to submit any of the required KYC documents, then they may experience issues regarding their payments and withdrawals.

With this, remember that there are also gambling companies that offer KYC upfront. If you do not want to submit any of the said KYC documents, then you run the risk of your payments being withheld by the gambling company (and they are legal for doing that).

At the end of the day, if you are uncomfortable of submitting any of your personal identity/information, then avoid gambling companies that require you to submit KYC. If you try to circumvent this requirement on a gambling website, then expect future issues/problems to occur.
75  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it advisable for a beginner to invest in a newly launch project? on: May 01, 2024, 04:40:55 PM
Nope- I will definitely NOT advice beginners to invest on a newly launched project given that the knowledge required is too great for them to grasp.

Remember that beginners should be able to understand the fundamentals of cryptocurrencies. Before investing into any altcoins, they must first learn the basics and on how cryptocurrencies work in the first place. Also, be reminded that majority of new projects are famous for its "rug pulls" where the projects would collect the investment and banish after receiving all of the donations and monetary support from its backers.

Just to add, investing on BTC is already risky. Why add another layer of risk to these beginners? You may also bring more harm than good if they get the wrong idea from investing into newly launched projects especially if the latter fails to uphold its promise to its backers.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: May 01, 2024, 03:37:28 PM
I am always been a fan of Canelo ever since his fight with Mayweather. Though he lost on that fight, that actually taught him to be a skillful fighter given that he learned so much techniques and fundamentals from that fight. If I remember correctly, that was also his first loss on his professional boxing career and that experience taught him valuable lessons that made him the beast today.

With his fight against Jaime Munguia, I am definitely looking forward for the onslaught between these two (2) fighters. I try not to be bias but just with the experience, raw power, and technique of Canelo, I definitely see this as a KO on Jaime on the first 1-3 rounds. Fight will be held in three (3) days from now and for the first time ever, I will be casting a bet on it!

Damn. I haven't heard about Jaime Munguia; maybe I'm not really a boxing fan. Lol. Did some research about him; he has a very impressive record with 43 wins, 34 of them by KO and zero losses. They're both Mexican. I think at the age of 33, Canelo is still young. This fight isn't about young boxer and a veteran boxer. I watched some highlights of Jaime Munguia; he is a heavy puncher. Man have a one punch punch power. This fight might go the distance but I think Canelo can manage to win this one. And it won't be an easy fight for sure.

I am also on the same boat! Never heard of Jamie Munguia but his record looks very promising. A Mexican boxer, as we all know, are hard-hitting warriors that will look for bloodbath as soon as the bell rings. They never backdown of the fight as they want chaos on the boxing field.

Definitely looking forward to this match and I hope that Canelo bags the win!
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An aggressive gambler irrelevantly easing his Irresponsible gambling manner. on: May 01, 2024, 02:17:25 PM
Someone betted on boxing and lost the game but the gambler out of grieve of his lost is trying to ease his emotion Said, It is okay as it is for at least the guy I betted on made me lost the game but had unfortunate for him too to had taken beaten of his life.

I think such is and aggressive and irresponsible gambler who gambles on the peak of what he can not afford to loose.

This is common in the gambling world where people would bet everything on one game.

When you are too deep in gambling, sometimes, you just want to speed things up by betting large amounts of money. With that kind of expectation, you tend to have that "all-out" attitude where you just want to get over with it. This kind of mindset can be dangerous given that people do not realize the consequences of their actions until they are pushed to their very limits.

The only way for gamblers to cure their addiction is to really have that committed mindset of improvement. If they lack the commitment, then expect these players for their addiction to recur as soon as they attempt to remedy it.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: April 30, 2024, 08:14:44 AM

Ryan's success is going on his head he also mentioned that he also wants to fight Anthony Joshua can you imagine that, he thinks he is invincible right now, he admitted that he had ADHD in one of his interviews we can understand his situation but telling something almost impossible is something worth laughing about.

His likely opponent is Pitbull Cruz because he has a good chance of beating him compared to Spence who he only wants to fight because of Derrick James issue.
Right now with Ryan Garcia's success, all eyes are on him because of his unnatural antics outside of the ring.

It appears that you are the perfect victim for the trolling of King Ry in social media hehehehe. This occurs to people who are always believing in what they read on the internet or in newspapers. They are using you and taking advantage of you my friend. King Ry has tricked many people already, I shake my head that this is still working on some people. Everyone should begin to be very skeptical on what Ryan will say. He will be a crazier troll or he might be starting to have a real sickness in his head. I am quite certain he is only trolling.

And Ryan started to troll again, but as boxing fans, we all know that it is not possible for him to fight a heavyweight simple as that. I remember Ryan says before as well that he will be fighting Manny Pacquaio next and the boxing world was abuzz when he posted that I will tell you that I also feel for it as I thought that it's real. But after this fight and he wins, everyone should know that Ryan is a total troll, he might have his mental issues or he has ADHD which is by now very obvious. So we will see who he will be fighting for it it's officially announced. Pitbull Cruz name might be in the list if Ryan will love to have a belt. But I hear Oscar's interview that they are not interested on Pitbull Cruz for now.

Nah, I find it impossible for Ryan Garcia to fight Anthony Joshua when he moves into the heavy weight. I mean, I understand that he won against Haney but moving to the heavy weight division? That's another beast that me must deal with given that the boxers in that division are naturally weighted individuals who has the power of the earth in one punch.

I mean, sure, Ryan Garcia won and he was very aggressive in portraying himself as the villain in social media. But when you are moving to another weight division and battling the beasts there, that will definitely be a beating that he must prepare to.

There is a reason on why Pacquiao never even bothered to move beyond welterweight. According to him, he was surprised when he survived his fight against Margarito and even saying that he hit the hardest1, to wit:

Quote
"When I beat Margarito, the commentators asked me if I would defend the title, I said no, I didn't care if they left it to him," Pac-Man recalled. "(His punch) is different. It was surprising that I survived that fight. I could take the punches, I could take the blows, but after the fight I could feel something, it was too much for me."

So again going back, if Ryan Garcia moves to the heavy weight division and fights Anthony Joshua, then we should expect results that are most likely obvious..

79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Your Country Who Gamble More? Young Ones or Elderly Ones on: April 30, 2024, 05:41:57 AM
Do you see such elderly people in your country? Or is it only in Africa? Is the younger ones play gamble more than the elders?

Both I think are engaging in gambling.  The adoption of smartphones I think contributed to all these siesta moments even in the time when they are supposed to be working.

Social media is more addictive than gambling though, this is where people are spending more time on social media trying to learn what each other is doing.  But the casinos are also grabbing attention especially if it's about national sports, people are betting on it online regardless of age.

I agree with you. With the rise of technology that somehow influenced the elderly, they are now discovering ways on how to gamble on their respective mobile phones.

Before the pandemic happened, I noticed that there are lots of middle aged to elderly people who were high rollers in such casino. Additionally, I rarely see young individuals gamble at physical casinos; or if there are any, they rarely stay.

Now after the pandemic, the rise of online gambling has skyrocketed its popularity where everyone seems to try it. Not to mention, even the elderly are now shifting to this method since most online gambling websites made it convenient for them to participate (e.g. simple controls, etc.).
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 27, 2024, 03:50:14 PM
<..snip..>
Upon all those sources and explanation, I still need the community input on the argument to know if gambling is a HOBBY so that I and the person will understand more.
Cheers.

I think it is relative and flexible on how you categorize something as a hobby.

According to the Webster's Dictionary, the definition of a HOBBY is:
Quote
noun. Definition of hobby. as in pursuit. an activity outside of one's regular occupation that is engaged in primarily for pleasure.

So again, hobby is defined as an activity primarily for pleasure and entertainment. Like what people have discussed in this forum, gambling can both be a hobby and as a form of profit depending on how you view it. There are people who view it primarily as a way of making money; and there are people who see it as an alternative means of earning income though in a risky environment.

In conclusion, gambling can BOTH be a hobby and as a form of profit depending on how you approach it. There is NO absolute answer here as these perceptions may co-exist with each other depending on the goal of the person gambling.
