1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tilt in gambling on: April 12, 2023, 03:54:31 PM
Of course I'm getting tilted knowing that I waste time because I lose and also lose my money along with it. I actually practiced myself to be cool headed as I am already lost I don't want to add another problem if I can't control my anger, also if I am not really in the mood and my instinct really wanted to play but I know that I'll just lose because I won't control my emotion and probably bet all my money. I do the alternative of playing with not real money and actually it works for me as I forgot that I am not using real money whenever I am losing.

I think that the feeling of being tilted is completely normal as we humans have emotions. When we bet in gambling, we use our resources and we cannot escape the liability and feeling of losing our money. It is completely normal to feel tilted as this actually limits our gambling expenditures, though this may be considered in a case-to-case basis.

Generally, there are two (2) outcomes that may happen when a person is tilted: either he quits or he continues gambling in the process. The feeling of being tilted provides that a person may want to recover his winnings in order to quickly and immediately feel grateful; on the other hand, a person may want to quit gambling since being tilted connotes a negative type of energy as a whole.
1062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can owning 1 Bitcoin make you rich in 2023? on: April 12, 2023, 02:45:26 PM
This actually depends on the current status of a person.

Rich is a relative term that is completely dependent on several factors. For example, the value of 1 BTC to people who live in developed countries may be small as compared to the people who live in developing countries. As the cost of living varies per country, a person may feel rich if he owns 1 BTC if he lives in a developing country.

Personally, 1 BTC is something that can guarantee me at least a comfortable way of living. As someone who lives in a third-world country, every value counts and that also includes the price of 1 BTC.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in casinos on: April 11, 2023, 05:46:37 PM
Sooner or later it will eat all balance if you keep doing same martingale strategy, you have to look for better money management methods instead of keep doubling bet size on each loss bet.  Reverse martingale works better on some multipliers on limbo or dice if you play on Stake as I can see on shared picture. Check stake forum for better limbo strategies and apply your own martingale method but don't forget to make it soft,IMO.

Martingale's strategy will never work in any casino in the long term. I will share my personal experience with you. When I first came to know about this Martingale's strategy, I decided to test it out. It worked well for a few of my dice games but then i kept on doubling my money on every loss, but unfortunately, i never got to win until my whole balance at the gambling site was exhausted.

I concluded that once we keep applying Martingale's strategy, the casino will recognize the pattern and then there will be a time when we won't find a win and lose all our money.

This is why this strategy is known to work if you have good bankroll to begin with.
But if you are working on a certain amount, then, you will likely end up losing all your funds.
Besides, there's only a period that this strategy will work for you. But if you won't stop playing, then, the house will catch up as remember, there's HE.
Martingale or any other known gambling strategy, will only work for you if you know when to stop. This is why any strategy won't give you a guarantee of winnings.

I agree with your statement.

Just to share a personal experience of mine, I used to accompany my brother in f2f casinos pre-covid days. Most of the times, he brings around $200-$300 worth of cash and he uses the Martingale strategy in order to quickly recover his losses upon a losing streak. Of course, this works if you have sufficient capital in order to bet for the next round and most of the time it works.

There was a time, however, where my brother experienced losing 5 times in a row and the money that he had to bet multiplied x5. He did a hail mary bet and luckily, he won and recovered his losses from that night.
1064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: April 10, 2023, 11:49:47 PM
Already the second game of the match for the chess crown turned out to be productive and Nepomniachtchi won with black against Ding Liren.
What do you guys think - the outcome of the match is already a foregone conclusion? There have been very few cases in history when the balance of power has been reversed at this stage. Even taking into account that Nepomniachtchi can be unstable, I would rather believe that Ding Liren will completely fall apart (instability in difficult conditions is also his property) than that he can make a comeback.

With the very unfortunate loss of Ding, I think games from now on would be more interesting as we can expect lots of deviations from the main openers. After the first game, Ding mentioned that he is somehow feeling overwhelmed by the whole situation and there had been a wave of emotions on his part. I do think that these contribute to his overall mentally on this match which led to his loss on game 2.

Though this may be the case, I expect the games further to be more interesting since Ding has to play for the win. He cannot rely on main lines and short-draws as he needs to create imbalances on the position and play solid chess from now on as his back is against the wall right now.
1065  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Si CZ Na Tagapagtatag Ng Binance Ay Kinasuhan Ng CFTC on: April 10, 2023, 11:37:09 PM
Let the court decide and sabe nga nila, ignore the FUD.
Pero syempre need paren natin mag ingat kase panigurado, marame ang maapektuhan if ever. I hope Binance can settle this issue, nagkakaroon na kase ng Panic and alam naman naten na Binance is the top exchange so paano nalang kapag nag collapse sila.

I agree with this- let the court decide and wait for the evidence to be established. If napatunayan na may fraud or halong illegal measures na nagawa si CZ, then yun na yung magiging balita and that will remain a fact.

Pero if there is something na nakakaworry, it is about people pulling out their cryptocurrencies sa Binance. Whether na kung totoo man ang mga allegatios or hindi, the fact still remains that people are skeptical sa ganitong situation. Like what they always say, better safe than sorry given na risky na nga ang cryptocurrency, dadagdagan mo pa ng isa pang layer of riskiness while nasa loob ng Binance mga cryptocurrencies mo.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rigged Game on: April 10, 2023, 11:22:53 PM
...
My question is how can one know that their game is rigged? If you play over 20 games and you lose it all, no one will believe you if you say that their is something wrong with the platform because truthfully as a gambler you have to lose, so what way can you actually know that a casino game is been rigged?

Hmm I think it boils down to the experience that other users also feel when they gamble on a certain website. That is why, it is very important that you join a casino that has a designated page/thread in this forum for you to see everyone's feedback about the game.

It is somehow difficult where to draw the line and to know if the game is rigged since everything revolves around luck. House edges are designed to keep the casino from at least gaining a slight advantage since they are also considered as "businesses" at the end of the day.

If a person keeps on losing and this so called house edges seems rigged, then you have to check other people's feedback in the process. If it is an isolated case where you only experienced it, chances are that you are just really unlucky. But if other people experience it too, then the game/casino might be rigged.

1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to gamble on: April 05, 2023, 04:50:51 PM
It totally depends on your mood and motivation. If you gamble at early morning before breakfast its obvious you may make terrible mistakes. I would say that best time to gamble is before eating around 1.00 or 2.00 pm. Or just early evening, right after eating food again. After you eat something good your brain will start working better so your play will be better. Also lot more people play at evening around 7.00 or 8.00 pm so you can have more people to beat etc. Obviously I am talking about skill based gambling here.

I think time is irrelevant when it comes to gambling as it purely depends on one's preference.

Personally, the best time to gamble is when you have all the necessary funds for it. For example, if you view gambling as a form of entertainment, then any win/loss incurred is somehow irrelevant as you are aiming to feel the adrenaline of knowing that you could either win/loss at a given game.

Though that may be the case, I do think that it all boils down to the personal preference of the player. Sometimes, we just feel lucky and there are also days were feel unlucky.
1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do new online casinos struggle? on: April 05, 2023, 04:05:10 PM

Is it better for a new casino to take their time very slow with their project for the time being to be able to raise some money first and only attract users with banners and small advertisements?

Or a new casino project should go all in on doing advertisements starting from their launch date with everything they've got?

Personally, brand building is what new casinos should aim for. Sure, some new casinos may offer more bonuses than another competitor but if they lack the necessary brand trust and confidence, they would not be able to recruit more players in the process.

Rather than focusing on bonuses, an online gambling casino must focus on their internal issues (e.g. customer support service, etc.) in order to retain their old members and to recruit new members in the process.

Quote
Why do new online casinos struggle? A Few I knew are not doing fine and they had to put an end to their advertising campaigns.

Generally, online casinos struggle because they lack the necessary tools to recruit and maintain their playerbase. They are too focus on short-term profit that they end up destroying their image by themselves.
1070  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you share with your friends and relatives about your crypto holdings? Beware! on: April 04, 2023, 11:57:29 PM
You've been warned that sharing about your crypto holdings to your friends or even family may put your investments in danger. There have been cases where those people who shared about their current crypto holdings or positions became victims of possible hacks of either their PCs/laptops or their accounts too where no 2FA was enabled. Even if your friends/relatives are so good, it is said that even walls have eyes and ears. So it's better that you share such things very carefully so that your left hand doesn't know what your right one did. TBH, I'd never suggest to share about your crypto holdings at all because it's all about your privacy and if you open it up voluntarily, then what's the point of using crypto?

I think this potential problem can be qualified if you share your crypto holdings with the people you trust completely even with your life. This includes your wife, your family, and your loved ones since you are adding an extra layer of security by letting them know about your cryptocurrencies.

While safety is generally an issue when it comes to this aspect, it is better that somebody knows that you have BTC instead of letting it HODL by itself. Assuming that something happens to you, no one can recover or let alone retrieve your respective BTCs if you are unexpectedly gone.
1071  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: April Fools' Posting/Spammer event on: April 04, 2023, 11:36:53 PM

Akala ko noong una, ginawa yung ng moderators to show and to warn others about sa post quality nila.

1072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Existing Crypto Casinos Were Able to Churn Fiat Casinos User? on: April 04, 2023, 11:21:31 PM
I think most crypto casinos are still churning out existing customers. I also believe that it is not that easy to get a traditional online gambling user to change their habit. What do you think?

I think with the pandemic, it bolster and proved that online casinos can be quite effective due to its convenience to the public.

Traditional fiat gambling requires a person to visit a physical casino in order to avail the services. While there are great benefits when you enter such, like getting to enjoy the amenities, etc., no one beats a relaxing casino at the palm of your hand using your respective mobile devices.

Though this may be the case, I definitely agree with you that it all boils down to the preference of a person. There some who enjoy the company of others while gambling in a traditional casino; while there are others who enjoy gambling at their own convenience, time, and at the comfort of their respective homes.
1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to gamble on: April 04, 2023, 11:03:58 PM
The answer depends on the circumstances of a person but generally the best time to gamble is when a person feels stressed out.

Gambling is something that boosts your adrenaline due to the nature of the games you are playing. Since you are also wagering cash and money on the process, it could either give you more stress or provide you with great relief when you win your games.

There are people who use gambling as a scapegoat to their problems as this is considered as a form of entertainment; while there are people who use it as a form of drive for their profit. But at the end of the day, view this activity as a form of entertainment where you just enjoy the games and the adrenaline that is tied to it.

1075  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 31, 2023, 11:57:47 PM
I want to know if it right for children that are of 10-15years go in to trade or not because I have a kid friend of about 14years and very eager to learn trading but am scared of the lost and how long it will take him to understand what his doing, because it hasn't been very easy for me. So what your opinion please I need help? because I think is too risky for them to go in to trade for now.

I do think that they are allowed but this must be under the direct and immediate control and supervision of an adult given the nature of trading is.

There are a few questions that came into my mind: does the teenager know how to trade in the first place? Is he/she aware of the circumstances and the risks involve in this kind of venture? Does the teenager have any prior experience in trading? Is he/she also knowledgeable about trading as a whole? etc.

If this were the case, then he/she must still be under the direct control and supervision of someone who is experienced in this field given that they are dealing with something that is potentially dangerous and risky.
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you withdraw bitcoin this week? on: March 31, 2023, 11:49:53 PM
I'm sured people who invest on bitcoin early March will likely get increase as of last month the price was lower compared to ending. Early March it around $23,400 but today is up to $28,600. I know impatient investors will grab the hot cake and run out of the fry pan Lol. But still hoping to use the fry pan again. This little pump shows the possibility of huge pump coming. If you're holding hold tiet and if you don't have and if wish to buy is still good ideas. Also if you withdraw is your money enjoy.

Keep the record that it will pump no matter the delay.

Based from my experience in the cryptocurrency space ever since I joined here since 2017, it is important to have a designated plan on the amount of BTC you are willing to take as profit/loss.

I remember back in 2021, there was a surge on the price of BTC where it reached a peak price of $60,000 on the market. I HODL and earned around $2,000 worth of BTCs and I did not convert it to my local currency due to the hopes of thinking that the price would continue to increase. Fast forward, the price fell off and my investments went down from $2,000 to just $800 on its value.

The lesson here is to create a plan on how much profit/loss you are willing to take. You should determine on how many BTCs you are willing to HODL vs the BTCs you are willing to cashout in the process.

My addition.
Dont interfere with a topic that you dont know because it will create spam, especially in technical discussions.
Besides, study it first and learn more further before joining in such a discussion.

I agree with your statement!

Unfortunately, there are lots of newbies who post and comment on threads just for the sake of saying something but what they contribute is entirely irrelevant. It only contributes to the overall spam in the forum which damages it long-term.

1078  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is it that is bitcoin is first in thought in mind in cryptocurrency on: March 31, 2023, 11:20:57 PM
This question comes from the curiosity of every new cryptocurrency user who learned there are more than 15k coins available in the market. According to history, bitcoin is not the first cryptocurrency, but it is the first breakthrough in the exchange space. In addition, it is the only pioneering coins in the space that is still existing today, and has proved to be one of the most profitable investments in history. With the exception of the stable coin, it remains the dominant coin on coinmarketcap with the highest form liquidity.

I do think that bitcoin is the very first cryptocurrency as it was an innovation in this kind of space. The fact that BTC continued to exist despite all of its challenges over the years speaks and implies on how it is essential and important to the future of our transactions.

Despite all the new altcoins being created introducing innovations throughout their system, BTC still remains at the top of the price. Its market share, liquidity and transaction history are still being sought after by investors and people in order to take advantage of its volatility either for short/long-term investment.
1079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: March 31, 2023, 11:09:53 PM
I am just curious about how does online casino pay for their promotion on their influencers? Where does their earning comes from? How will you get scammed when you try online casino? How can you tell that online casino is safe?

Casinos generate their profit and revenue depending on the house edge and on their games. Again, casinos are businesses in a way where they try and advertise as much as possible in order to gain more players in gambling to their website. The more people that gamble, the more chances that they would be able to recover their winnings as part of the house edge mandated on their platform.

They try as much as possible to hire influencers in order to boost their advertisement to their crowd. Their earning comes from the business itself and remember that the more people who register at their website, the more traction and profit they would garner at the end.
1080  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Epekto ng AI on: March 31, 2023, 04:29:19 PM
May disadvantage and advantages talaga ang AI and if you are going to use it here dito sa forum for your posting activities panigurado, mapapahamak talaga ang account mo so be careful and choosing the topic pumili lang ng topic na alam mo or curious ka para alam mo kung ano ang ipopost at icocomment mo.
