61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Never Been A Scam. on: June 02, 2024, 06:01:26 AM
I don't even know of any people that have said this about bitcoin, I'm pretty sure that no one is saying that anymore too, the only old narrative about bitcoin that I believe is still on the horizon is that bitcoin is a tool for money laundering. I feel like if you're with this type of people, you should entirely avoid them so as not to make any kind of acquaintance with them and it's probably toxic for you to be with them because they're only spouting garbage and many other stuff to you and other people.

This is the first time I've seen a post like this, Bitcoin can't be a fraud. Bitcoin is the king of coins in my opinion. try to pay attention to the market now, if the price of bitcoin goes up it will have an effect on other coins, likewise if bitcoin goes down it will also have an effect on other coins so is it possible that bitcoin is a scam that doesn't make sense.
Because I believe that this has been a thing back in 2010 or 2011 that this kind of thing has been popping up which is understandable, it's an Internet currency that you literally have to buy because you believe it has value and that the person/people that have made it is totally anonymous but bitcoin's already crossed the $20k price mark a long time ago, I don't think that it can be a scam if it can reach that point.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing, the Trump pump is beginning on: June 02, 2024, 05:27:21 AM
To everyone, don't get your hopes up though, I'm pretty sure that Trump's just any other politician out there, he will try to appeal to everyone's desires since he needs something from us right now which is the votes and the support during the election campaign. It's the same thing with all of this people, you will never get an honesty out of a politician until it's their life on the line. Careful about the hype that this situation will generate because it might be a short-lived kind of hype and hopefully if you are going to ride this hype, may you have the luck to get into the hype and make a big profit otherwise, tread lightly.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become better on: June 02, 2024, 03:59:27 AM
I don’t see how it is possible for Bitcoin to be backed by the US dollar because the value of Bitcoin isn’t fixed. It keeps growing and could be anything at anytime. This is the second post I see talking about Bitcoin being backed by dollar. Is there an agenda because it won’t work. Only someone who doesn’t understand how Bitcoin works that will think it can be backed by dollar.
That's the same with the dollar, the price of it doesn't really have a fixed value, it moves depending on the demand for it in the global market and the inflation rate so technically it doesn't have a fixed value. It will definitely not work because if you peg bitcoin to the dollar, wouldn't bitcoin become susceptible to the market manipulation and at the same time, the pillars of decentralization would be gone if bitcoin becomes reliant on dollar for value so I'm not sure that better is the word for when bitcoin becomes backed by the dollar.

The US is a capitalist economy and they have legalized lobbying but it doesn't fall under corruption according to thier law. It is completely legal to bribe a senator for addressing a particular issue. It is how thier society has evolved. They have laws that mostly protect those who have money that is why the number of homeless citizens are increasing in the US.
That's just corruption with a different word, the only difference is that the politician don't directly accept the money and most of the time, the bribes are made in favors, take for example, the businesses that want to push some laws that would favor them could say that they will close up shop on some of their biggest warehouses thus creating job shortage and increased unemployment and politicians don't like that because they know that it might backfire to them, another example is lobbyist can easily fund the campaign funds of many politicians thus making sure that these lobbyists can get their favors later when they're in the seat of power, it's all corruption, they just painted it and made it more complicated so they can easily argue that they're not violating anything.

You should read more and watch a training video about MEV. Transaction fees have nothing to do with it.
In simple terms, DeFi transactions in a block are buy and sell orders. If you form a block, you can earn on price changes by inserting your transactions.
It's like arbitrage on exchanges, only in DeFi all exchanges are united by smart contracts in one ecosystem.
I am totally wrong and I think that I can somewhat get what you mean, it's a really smart way of stealing people's funds, they're like basically manipulating the transactions to their favor right? They should be recruited by the Ethereum because they were able to do this kind of thing, you know, like putting their skills to good use, such skills in this field is a waste if they just let them go to jail.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first Bitcoin on: June 01, 2024, 11:49:56 PM
I feel like people have already told you that hodling is the key to bitcoin investing and that it should be always for the long-term. Not bad for your first bitcoin purchase but I think that you should heed what others are saying about this particular case, don't put too much money in your investments because you might not like it when the price starts falling hard, some newbies will panic that their bitcoin investment is losing value and you might not be ready for it so make sure that you're equipped to handle that at the least.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin not coin memecoin on: June 01, 2024, 11:13:29 PM
Look at the market price history, there's no way that you'd be asking this question if you've look at it already. It will fuck up the lives of those that aren't ready for the market crashing to the ground, I mean that's what bitcoin is, a volatile asset so it's only natural that the pump in prices will never be something that will happen forever, it will continue as a cycle. Bitcoin isn't a memecoin but you can definitely make a meme out of it.
68  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can Bitcoin save a nation that owes a lot of money / Debt on: June 01, 2024, 08:28:15 AM
I don't know about the corruption in the US (by the way I believe there is none or very less as it is a developed country), but the things you mentioned truly project the picture of my society where the corrupt politicians are getting every benefit of life at the expense of the ordinary person who is the victim of the highest ever inflation.

People say that Bitcoin and blockchain technology can help reduce corruption because it is a transparent blockchain and you cannot manipulate much but then these corrupt people don't care if people can see their corruption as no one can take any action against them as they are in power and all the justice and courts are under their supervision.

Only if the rulers and the politicians have a clear mindset of implementing justice in the country, only then can things become better, only a currency like Bitcoin cannot change the corrupt mindset.
You're living with a rose colored glasses if you don't think that there's any corruption in the US, I don't think that you understand the dynamics of power is and how it works because you can't gain all of that prosperity and influence by being fair to other people, where there is power, there's bound to be a corruption, try searching the definition of lobbying and you'd know that corruption does exist in the US government. The people are right about blockchain technology, it's transparent and there's no way that someone or something can tamper with it, that's why people are finding ways to develop a system like this that would create a really clean voting system.
69  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Argentinian Regulators Talk Bitcoin with El Salvador Authorities on: June 01, 2024, 07:50:37 AM
The current president of Argentina is a Bitcoin supporter. In fact, bringing Bitcoin into Argentina was one of his promises before the election.

https://blockworks.co/news/argentina-milei-bitcoin-president

It's great to see some movement there. I hope Argentina will be able to gain some useful insights from the team at El-Salvadore which will help them to frame a favorable regulations around crypto in Argentina.
Yes and I think that this man will be the best one for the bitcoin adoption here in the forum it's most likely that they're going to see some big changes when Argentina finally adopts bitcoin as a currency in there, and the effect would be much bigger than that of El Salvador's adoption because Argentina is a pretty big country compared to El Salvador, more people being exposed to bitcoin means that there are more people that will be curious about investing in it and with that, it will benefit bitcoin because it will increase the global demand of bitcoin even more and with more demand comes bigger and unexpectedly higher prices, I'm pretty sure that bitcoin will be surprising us even more.

Attack is linked to MEVs. All the mining pools were doing it, so I don't understand why the arrest?

What Is Maximal Extractable Value (MEV)?
https://chain.link/education-hub/maximal-extractable-value-mev

The administration of centralized exchanges sees all participants' bets and can profit from it, which it successfully does. Also in this case, the one who forms the block can profit from DeFi transactions in the block.
Hello, I know this might be too much but I'm not really that good with technology and this kind of stuff, is there like a layman's explanation about this one because it seems to be a really complicated thing. If I understand correctly, did the two brothers hijacked the blockchain so that they can get all of the fees and the transactions? Or I'm totally wrong?
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exposure to bitcoin at young age on: June 01, 2024, 06:27:40 AM
Young people don't even need to be told about Bitcoin, they already know it directly because all information is now very open as long as they have access to the internet, there is already a lot of information about Bitcoin available, for young people talking about Bitcoin technology can be more interesting than about Bitcoin which can be used as an investment because the price can rise, only young people whose finances are stable will be interested in talking about Bitcoin which can be an investment option, but young people who still have to struggle to achieve good finances may not be interested because it is one of the things that must be achieved before starting an investment is financially stable.
Not all of them knows about bitcoin, if they do, they're probably talking about it already as we all know that kids are most likely to repeat stuff that they're interested for a while now and if I can't hear them talk about bitcoin, I don't think that they've ever known about bitcoin in the first place. I don't think that they have to struggle in finances, if I'm being honest, support in your finances should be something that's done by your parents especially when they're just starting at their career, I do believe that kids need to struggle to become strong but there are times where the struggle is useless and could've been avoided since there's no feasible reason for the struggle and no excellent result coming out of it.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins dominance over Real Estate in terms of profitability on: June 01, 2024, 05:20:09 AM
Last year my sister in law told me I should use some of my bitcoin to buy a house because it'll be a better investment. I straight up laughed at her. She was surprised when I said a house is a much much worse investment than bitcoin.

The normal person thinks a house is the ultimate investment. They don't realize how much bitcoin grows by.
You should probably bring back up this conversation with your sister and see where she stands with his claim, with the possibility and rumors of a repeat of 2008 housing crisis, it's probably in the best of your time that you will do whatever you can to hodl on to that bitcoin and wait for that crisis to happen, in my opinion, you'd probably be able to buy more properties when you continue hodling that bitcoin and then selling it when another price pump happens. If your sister will still have the same stance since your last talk, then I guess some people are just too stubborn to deal with things and that they don't like the idea that what they believe in is wrong or that they were suddenly proven wrong.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not fall for success stories of bitcoin investors on: June 01, 2024, 04:10:54 AM
Totally agree, behind all of the success in those stories, there's a lot of heartache, tragedies, and mistakes but they never tell that because that part of the story of that successful person isn't exactly inspiring for people to know about. Never get to carried away listening or reading about these stories, most of the time, it's the fault of the people that would read these stories that they fail miserably in what they want to achieve, they're already an adult that can think for themselves and they should know by now how life for each individual is going to be different no matter what and it's already a common sense that these stories serves as an inspiration and not the exact blueprint to a successful life.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can save you against inflation if you invest in & hold it some years on: June 01, 2024, 03:22:30 AM

It’s nice that you are suggesting investing in bitcoin to your co-workers possibly friends and family as well. But personally I wouldn’t want to suggest it anymore especially if they do not want to listen anyway. I will just be wasting my energy and effort in trying to make them understand.
It's just a one time thing and they haven't done anything so far, hopefully they really did invest now and that they're just not talking about it but I doubt it given that they pretty much was asking how to invest in it but now they don't talk about it. I already did my part so hopefully they also do their part, I think it's a bad idea to not be investing when you're just relying on your salary money, it's a good time for some people to be finding ways that they can save money in the most efficient way, piggy bank savings is just not cutting it anymore in this economy.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can save you against inflation if you invest in & hold it some years on: June 01, 2024, 02:43:48 AM
That's what I've telling my co-workers in a while when they ask about bitcoin, that's it a good hedge against inflation and the only way that they can save themselves from the ever increasing inflation and the rampant price growth of the goods and services is if they start investing now albeit slowly so as to make sure that they're not being too greedy but still making some point into investing something. Probably that's the only thing that you should do with bitcoin, trading should be left to the altcoins and such. I think that it's really stupid for anyone to not invest now when all the stuff about bitcoin growing through the years is already an evidence that it's a safe asset to invest into despite the arguments that the market is so volatile, that volatility can easily be remedied by having the patience to wait things out.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are any of you guys are winning with probably fair games? on: May 31, 2024, 11:32:18 PM
Yes most of us do win but what probably fair means isn't what you think it means, the odds are still stacked against you and with a provably fair thing on a game, it just makes you see the odds or that you have a way of analyzing the odds and see that they weren't being fair. Kind of like making the games' codes like an open source so people can see that there's nothing there that's making you lose but the odds of the game. Most people do win but big wins are as rare as those games that's not provably fair.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are confident with your picks, do you win most of the time? on: May 31, 2024, 09:27:02 AM
Not really, I feel like it's not confidence but more like courage that I feel when I bet, confidence implies that I believe in that team but I don't bet on the winning all the time because of how low the odds are, so I'm not confident that I'm betting on the winning team. Most of the time, it's just that I have to strengthen my nerves because I'm basically betting my money in the hopes that the one that's not favored to win will do the miracle and win the match. I think that what you feel doesn't even have anything to do with the possible outcome of the bet, that's outside of the game after all which means that no matter what you feel about your bet, if the team that you've placed your bet just sucks and is being completely dominated by the other team, you're probably better off having any kinds of feeling.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A list of lucky casinos in crypto on: May 31, 2024, 08:48:29 AM
There's a problem with this genius idea that you've got OP and that it turns out that most casinos probably already knows that statistics might give away who's the likely to pay out more winners of the bunch, what I'm trying to say here is that they can easily manipulate the statistics of these things that you're looking for to make it look like they're the one casino that you should check out and gamble your money away because the chances of getting a jackpot in their casino is much higher than other casinos, there's also the fact that since they all know about this kind of stuff, they would all be manipulating the statistics of their casino winners so as to keep up with their competitors and at the end of it all, your list would be useless because most of them probably have a really close numbers in terms of jackpot winners.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: May 31, 2024, 07:44:26 AM
I do not think that debates will have that much power, USA as a nation is already very divided, which means that the worst case for any candidate would be that they would make their own voters fail to turn out, but nobody will lose voters to other side.

Right now, anyone who would like to vote Trump would ever consider voting for Biden, no matter what happens at the debates, you could only assume they may not go out to vote but there is ZERO chance they would vote for Biden. Same goes for someone who would vote Biden, it's impossible to make them vote for Trump, no matter what happens, Biden could drop Nuke somewhere on the nation itself, and they would still just not vote for Biden, but not go out and vote for Trump. Everyone already made their decision.
But it's the same with those who've voted for Biden and then they see the result of the administration, they will jump to the other side because they didn't see the changes that they wanted to see and the changes that they were promised. At the election day, it will all become clear and I think that what you're saying, it's never going to really happen, I mean that's my speculation. My bet will be on Biden though, I think that the foothold that he's got established during his presidency is enough time to make it so they can secure a second term by any means necessary.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: May 31, 2024, 06:49:37 AM
Patience is more important than gambling. If you want to survive a gambling, you have to have the strategy of knowing how to be patient because gambling is something that you may not understand how it works. If only you can study very hard and have some patience you will be able to survive because sometimes you may not have the necessary capacity or the knowledge of Bey2 again but you proceed on betting because you don’t have patience.
What exactly should someone be waiting for because most games won't move unless you do something and the games that are moving without your control can't be tampered or interfered with. I don't exactly understand how patience can be a factor that would help someone in gambling given that most of the games are fast paced, are there any examples you got that would help my understanding because for me, patience doesn't have anything to do with gambling given that with patience, it comes with strategy and there isn't a lot of games there that would make you do that kind of thing.
