601  Economy / Economics / Re: How cash is becoming a thing of the past | DW Documentary (Banking documentary) on: December 26, 2018, 01:20:59 PM
How exactly is cash becoming a thing of the past? But everyday you still goi to the ATM to withdraw cash right? Cash is still important more than you think.
Many developed and developing countries are focusing on cashless system so that they may remove most of their ATM in near future as people do not need to withdraw and hold cash for their daily needs. Just having some mobile APP or simply holding a debit/credit will be more than enough to lead a happy life as all your daily needed things will be available for those payment processors. Moreover it may like, no one will be there to accept cash from you then why you need to go for ATMs. Now tell me, cash is becoming a thing of past or not (if not in your country, at least for some other people) ?

Digital payments are just there to make things easier for us. It’s just like having your credit card and using it in purchasing stuff you need from any store instead making use of cash.
Now digital payments are seeming like an optional but in near future it may become as the only available payment methods. Just think about revolutions on payment options and make sure you are preparing yourself to face those revolutions.
602  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook Is Developing a Cryptocurrency for WhatsApp Transfers, Sources Say on: December 26, 2018, 03:02:56 AM
I doubt this is true. Facebook wouldn’t do such a thing, they don’t need cryptocurrency cause they wouldn’t consider it safe for their platforms users.

People can already send and receive money with Facebook, there is a feature to send and receive money in the Messenger app. If they want they will do the same for WhatsApp, but it won’t be anything to do with cryptocurrencies, these medias are fond of carrying fake news.
I may need to agree with you as OP is not providing any link for source/reference. But, why not a new thing for whatsapp users beyond the features of facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg  must have been well aware of cryptos as his 'old friends' Winklevoss twins are icons in crypto world. It is time for facebook corp to react as googlepay and applepay are emerging, hence to stay competitive,  they may go for this kind of things.

But, what are impacts it is going to create in crypto space or in bitcoin ecosystem. Nothing negatively, I am sure. Why ? It will be another altcoins but it may get quickly adopted by common people due to the popularity of facebook/whatsapp. But, it may not have value outside whatsapp or at least out side facebook's products. People still need bitcoins.

Moreover I believe, a new crypto from any market giant will help bitcoin to be promoted indirectly as bitcoin is not a purpose specific money whereas all altcoins are.
603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 errors when buying crypto currency on: December 25, 2018, 05:49:06 PM
Some of the people that makes the No. 1 mistakes are people who don’t believe in cryptocurrency, they think it can end at any time, but when they see the price going up they will all start rushing in and buying so they don’t lose the profit.

Times like this when the price is low is the best for buying cryptocurrency, you buy them and you keep them and wait for when they will rise again and you make profit. You simple take the risk.
Not believing into cryptocurrency might turn a life time mistake, fortunately I got chances to rectify my mistake as I was doing this number one mistake. I would have got chances to buy bitcoin by the year of 2010 or 2011 but I started believing only in 2013 after seeing the prices were hitting $1000 levels. I still believe I have done a lifetime mistake of not taking enough time to go for analyzing about the features and future of bitcoin by 2010 even I have heard about it by that time.

A common mistake I do repeat with trading is, getting excited about a pump and buying that particular coin without going for proper researching and then regretting about buying. When I was active with yobit.net, I have done many times this mistake after that I started preventing myself from checking who got biggest gain for a day.
604  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: there is no word stopping to trade crypto. on: December 25, 2018, 04:57:46 PM
Obviously, Good experts never quit the trading because they know how to tackle at any situation. Bit continuous drop is totally damage the many investors so too much ratio of trading is stopped in suddenly.
You may not get panic when you are keeping your faith on bitcoin high all the times. For the case of other coins, if you have chosen that coin after dedicated research, then you never need to worry about continuous dropping in downfall market. It means if the coins are highly reputed and long-term based to coins, you will never lose your hope on holding down so that you never need to stop trading them.

We need the regulations and legalisation of crypto currency then only it is successfully workout. Because forex trading is still profit in most of the country so we need some changes in crypto.
Do not expect regulations nor legalization will stop this kind of downfall of the market. Market fluctuation is beyond those regulations and legalization hence this has nothing to do with market and trading perspective. Moreover, regulations and legalization will our freedom as these are all completely against our decentralized concept based system.
605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Story of crypto market on: December 25, 2018, 03:57:41 PM
Right now story is 2019, everyone talks about how 2019 could be the year when bitcoin and crypto markets could recover. Main reason for that is 3 fold, one is SEC allowing ETF would bring the prices higher, the other is BAKKT ETF starting and the next one is NASDAQ having their own ETF.

Now, if all three of them happens I am sure price will double at least if not more, however even if one of them happens we will see a sudden surge in price even if it is followed by a correction. People are waiting for these to happen for the past month and even right now when the price is going up a bit I think we can tie it to the fact that people are optimistic about the future. When something big happens price usually doesn't change all that much because it already changed a week leading up to that point. We might be seeing that right now.
606  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: There is no magic in trading on: December 25, 2018, 02:38:26 PM
i want to add, is that everybody here should acknowledge from the start that it is very volatile market, so always use Stop-loss.
Stoploss is a weapon to prevent unexpected losses but this is not linked to create any magic in trading. I mean it is not a tool that will enable you enter or exit a position but it will help you to take risk in calculated way. I agree every trader must use stoploss and must have a strategy which is also giving you stoploss along with entry and target levels.

I never care about any other trading but I am making easy magic with my bitcoin trading as I am doing it in positional way without having any time-frame. Yes, we can create magic according to the asset like what we are trading and how we are trading. I must say: there is a possibility to create magic in trading but it is up to you on how you are approaching.

Bitcoin is good for all the traders when it is being approached in long-term basis. If you go for day trading with the bitcoin then you may not find that magic that will be giving you easy money for those long term traders.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think that Bitcoincash will replace Bitcoin on: December 25, 2018, 06:29:39 AM
This is a lot of talk. Bitcoincash is more convenient for calculations, as for me. But I don't think that in the near future it will move the king.
I agree with you . BTC is still more interested by people because of its popularity. I am sure BCH is only suitable for those who want to pay fast and this technology is really good but the developer did not continue to do this and they created 2 other coins to develop that made people lose Great belief in BCH
BCH is now BTC-ABC. As per many people's view bitcoincash is just another shitcoin as it is backed by some incapable techies. People behind this coin have many times claimed themselves as the creator of bitcoin but never produced enough proof. This alone more than enough to demonstrate their manners and professionalism. We cannot expect a continuous progress for these coins from such kind of people.

Bitcoin is far superior from bitcoincash in terms of all the basics infrastructures required for the success of one crypto-coin. OP must be just spreading FUD as he might be a bagholder of bitcoincash. Such type of people are not new to this forum hence we never need to give importance to his opinion as time will make all of us to forget such people.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your criteria to invest in any ICO? on: December 25, 2018, 05:54:58 AM
I would like to know what criteria you guys looks for to invest in any ICO?

I normally afraid to invest in any ICO if i like the project then i can invest in it when it will launch on any exchange.
I guess no criteria will save you as of now. Almost all projects are severely suffering due to lack of support from contributors hence unable to manage their plans on executing road maps. Another factor we need to consider here is, price of ethereum and bitcoins. Both are trading at less than 80% compared to last year prices. Hence, this time no criteria will help you as far as I am concerned. Please stay away and watch the markets keenly.

Can you guys trow some light on ICO's in details whether it is good to invest in good project's ICO or better to wait for it to launch on any exchange?
Just start from your own analysis. Take some 3 to 5 ICOs for analysis and then wait for them to hit exchanges. Now check for their trading prices and ICO prices. Now you will realize that you have picked a good or bad one. Keep picking ICOs and go for analyzing and then conclude. You will become a pro-investor for ICOs.

I do not invest in ico projects. It's risky. Ethereum or bitcoin, for investment, are much better suited to any ico. Ethereum and bitcoin are time-tested.
I do see it is also a good strategy like completely avoiding all the ICOs. You may miss some good opportunities out of this but definitely you will never get struck like how I am doing. Yes, I have invested into more than 10 ICOs with strong researches but unfortunately all of them are still in negative earning.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold or Sell! Hardfork & rebranding. on: December 24, 2018, 04:41:36 PM
It was about 50 cents when the OP asked this question, it was regarding if he should keep it during 15th December or not. Looking back on the prices right now it clearly shows that the price went up to 58 cents or so before the 15th December and during it went down to about 52 cents each which is really not a great deal of difference but if he sold right before the fork he could have made some profits, however if you look at the price right now it is about 78 cents or so which tells you that if you kept the going from those times you have made about 50% increase in just 2 weeks.

People who kept saying that OP should sell and get out and branding doesn't work and everything is in trouble and it is dying could look at the price can look at the 50% increase and the 57th spot and can assume they were wrong.
610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bottomed out ? TA analysis. on: December 24, 2018, 03:25:56 PM
TA is definitely BS when it comes to bitcoin. The trouble is not that TA is a valid way to calculate bottoms and even tops and anything in between, it definitely calculates stuff very precisely, the BS part comes from the fact that whenever something major happens in bitcoin the price moves very quickly without caring about what the TA shows.

The biggest example we can give for this happened just a month ago when Craig Wright sold off about 8 thousand bitcoins all at once, now which type of TA could have predicted something like that, bitcoin price went down 10%+ in half an hour and TA couldn't calculate that. Hence, yeah on a regular day TA is great and would definitely work on calculating correct prices if no outside involvement happens but it is BS when something major like that happens.
611  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today is 365 days since the last ATH on: December 24, 2018, 07:04:14 AM
Is a year of time enough for the bear market? Or, will the price drops by the next couple of months?
Personally, I think that this is not the end of the bear market, and we will have to wait until 2020 for the bull run.
This is not the first time that we are experiencing a year long bear market. If you consider ATH to new ATH as a bear market then the last bear market was persisting from late 2013 to late 2016, around 3 years. But, we do not need to be losing our confident here. This time, bitcoin will not take such a long period to have a new ATH. I am expecting $20k levels before end of 2019 or earlier to that as this time we have more adopters and ETH also may get approved.

as we can see the price grow a bit, but maybe the next ATH in my opinion will be only next year when possible bitcoin value more than 30,000$ and keep the high price more time than was last ATH.
Prepare yourself. If we get into a rally which may lead to a new ATH then the stopping may be around $50k as only psychological levels will work rather than just round numbered levels. We may expect $100k by end of 2020.
612  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin going to be the best hedge in the upcoming financial crisis? on: December 22, 2018, 02:28:17 PM
Financial crisis is here and bitcoin has not skyroceted yet. American stocks are incredibly low, they have fallen as much as they did back in 2008 according to another topic here and that means the crisis already begun and no increase sight in scene. Yes, bitcoin went from 3 thousands to over 4 thousand but it went back to 3 thousands once again and even the 4 thousand wasn't really a big increase. The price needs to be at least over 6 thousand once again in order for us to say "recover" let alone anything remotely near the 20 thousand dollar line.

Hence, I doubt the financial crisis will have any affects on bitcoin at all for now, maybe in the future when FED keeps the strict investment rules there will be some rich folk preferring bitcoin over stocks and savings because of bad returns on them but that would take years to have any affect on the price and would be gradual and not instant results.
613  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful investor rule!!! on: December 22, 2018, 08:02:55 AM
If someone offers you to invest in something profitable and at the same time offers a fixed percentage of profit per month (especially, and especially if this percentage is significant), then you have a fraudster. Stay away from him
I never believe into HYIP kind of programs which are saying like paying interest on daily basis or weekly basis too. That is very much impossible for any business. But, in my country banks are paying around 0.5% interest rate monthly (actually they are doing per year basis and the rate of interest is around 6% to 7.7% and I'm taking the least one and on monthly basis).

Basically I'm not always ready to believe any new investment opportunities but I am looking for gaining some monthly interest from banks. I believe like 1% of fixed percentage profits will be possible for any business. But, profit sharing like 10% or 25% must not be true. We must stay away from them.

Precisely, these schemes and models might work great for a few weeks or even a few months but they'll still have bad periods, just like even the very best traders do. Therefore offering a high fixed return is never feasible and is almost certainly a scam.
Even best traders are also finding failures time to time. If there are best traders existing then they might be having their own capitals to risk and will never look for others money for their trading purposes and they will not mess up things like paying interests periodically to others. It means, they are making losses that is the reason they need new capital and that is the reason they are offering such a profit-sharing schemes.
614  Economy / Economics / Re: Very stable BTC dominance on: December 21, 2018, 03:58:42 PM
Dominance is one way of looking at why bitcoin is not dropping as much as the others but also a way of looking why its not moving as fast as others when going up as well.

The deal is when you want to sell you sell your lets say xvg to bitcoin and bitcoin to dollar, which means your xvg only got a sell order, your bitcoin got a buy order AND a sell order, thats why bitcoin didn't dropped too much whereas xvg dropped a lot.

When people are getting out this is the reason why bitcoin is not dropping as fast as other coins. However when buying you spend dollars to buy bitcoin and SELL your bitcoin to buy xvg. Now your bitcoin got bought but also sold whereas your xvg only got bought.  It makes bitcoin not go as fast as your xvg. This logic has always applied on volatile days and will always be used no matter what.
615  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake Crypto News Of The Day: "Why Neo-Nazis Love Bitcoin" on: December 21, 2018, 02:58:06 PM
Neo-nazis love crypto currency and not bitcoin directly. That is something we can sort of call correct because crypto currency and ICO's are a way of them showing support to each other. They could build hate speech places all their own without the media or outside world showing who they are and how they are so they can build platforms for themselves by funding it themselves.

When they try to do it on facebook they are compromised and everyone who is not a neo-nazi sees them directly for who they are, thats same for youtube, twitter, instagram, reddit and many more places. Hence they go out and fund each other with some sort of ICO and open places for each other to be racist ignorant and only be around other racist people together. This is not a bitcoin deal, its a crypto deal and I see no problem with sending neo-nazis to a place where only they live and leave us alone online.
616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Well played btc family on: December 21, 2018, 02:38:02 PM
Well played today btc family Grin. I want to mean BTC, BCHABC And BSV. Just 3 coin huge bump today. All others all is as same before. Few alts are still on down trend. I am suspecting it's a whales game. They dump 3 of them huge and after bought on low price suddenly bump. Genaral traders like us fall on their trap. I don't know if someone believe or not whales game but I believe. They are the one who make huge pump suddenly and huge dump suddenly. What you think about it ?
Basically bitcoin is controlled by the miners who gather all the new minted coins and all the transaction fee's tied to that. They collect a lot of bitcoins and are rich in bitcoins as well which gives them the rights to move the market however they want. Bitcoin abc is the same miners I talked about and this is even worse considering they are the ones who control all of the market and have most of it with their mining equipment.

Bitcoin sv is the Craig who had a lot of bitcoin (and probably still has a lot) and sold a lot of it to get bitcoin SV to a great price. The cash ones make no sense when to go up or down because they literally worth nothing but even when bitcoin goes up we have to think about the risk of some whale bitcoin early adopter selling many coins to drop the price whenever they want.
617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This will help to improve your trading on: December 21, 2018, 05:38:25 AM
This will help new traders for some guide on how they will manage their trading. However, every trader has their own ways and techniques so it is not really a big deal if they don't totally follow your rules.
OP is not emphasizing all of us to follow the lessons, he just obtained from his experience. But, it is always good to learn from others mistakes so that we do not need to pay to learn the same kind of mistakes while trading. Here I meant, the payment is the losses we might need to pay while making mistakes Grin.

If you want to learn to be smart trader by gathering more experience then it is always good to learn from others mistakes instead of keep trying by your own. I love to hear more people will be adding their experiences similar to OP so that we will be having some guidelines for each and every scenario.
618  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CRYPTOINS | Crypto Insurance on: December 20, 2018, 05:49:21 AM
I am not ready to believe such a services. In my country, there are no such insurance options for covering my bank saving accounts or my trading accounts. Why this service is taking responsibility for exchanges and web wallet providers whereas real life insurance companies are not able to do so (or at least in my country).

I was entering to this discussion like imagining typical insurance services which is also accepting major cryptos for buying policies and for paying premiums. But, this sounds like non-realistic as it will not be possible to cover our BTC holding by an insurance company. I guess they have messed up by without analyzing how a basic insurance coverage works.
619  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is not going UP anytime soon and here is why. on: December 19, 2018, 04:58:25 PM
How can there be a chart like this when everyone used the same chart for 2008 crisis and when stock markets fell in 2008 and everyone thought the market wouldn't recovered but right now bigger than it used to be ? I mean we are talking about a time period where people are really in big trouble and somehow managed to get back on their feet.

Crypto is bigger than stocks of just one country and will eventually pass those as the main investment method of the world however somehow people still think whenever there is a big rise they believe its a suckers rally.

One day bitcoin will go up again and we will see a bigger than $20k price and when that day comes everyone will realize how big of a mistake they did by not trusting bitcoin and crypto. This is a world changing system that needs to be supported by everyone.
620  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today is 1 year since Bitcoin price reach its ATH (~$20,000) on: December 19, 2018, 04:27:20 PM
For the anniversary the price of bitcoin went up a bit. It is still not even remotely close to what it used to be but it is a good feeling to have bitcoin increasing again. I really hope we can see the 20 thousand dollars once again because the current price not only affects our economy but our community as well.

Bitcointalk was the main hub for all crypto discussions and even here there are not many new topics or not many new messages and every day the same people talk about the same topics constantly, I really hope the hype and interest of the public turns back to crypto in 2019 so we can see the increase of interest towards crypto we really need it. 20 thousand dollar days were filled with happy people here who dream about becoming really rich whereas right now there are people who do not believe the price will go up even while its going up a bit and think it will fall back.
