601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For those, who wait BTC to "skyrocket" again. on: September 25, 2018, 10:10:25 AM
the Tether nonsense FUD is starting to get too old. you should try coming up with some sort of new FUD to spread in hopes of a lower price so you can make short term profit from bitcoin.

I recommend very strongly at least some basic source criticism! I picked very carefully to post article from more or less neutral source, You answer with a counter-argument of crypto-enthusiast source! CMON!

if you bothered enough to read the article instead of putting your head in the sand and scream your FUD some more, then you would have seen that the article is referencing an academic study done by economics department of a university in Australia and published in an economics journal.
602  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions if Bitcoin ETFs are approved on: September 25, 2018, 09:57:13 AM
An ETF approval will start a new bull rally IMO. I think we can hit a new ATH

Why, though? Fundamentally? Approval =/= launch, and approval =/= demand.

As one example, when the CME launched BTC futures last year, the price crashed. It's all about timing.

Bull rallies are born based on supply/demand imbalance, not hype. Hype comes later, after the price is already skyrocketing. If an ETF approval comes after an accumulation period where long term supply has been absorbed, then yeah, it could spark a legitimate new bull market. But if the bear market hasn't run its course yet, I wouldn't plan on it.

price didn't crash after Futures launch. the price had gone up with a sharp rise before the launch in anticipation of positive news and then when the news came out itself it was time to take the profit out so the price dropped. it was more like a correction. and the the big bang happened to $20k.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption is rising: The Amount of Bitcoin in Active Wallets Is Near Record Highs on: September 25, 2018, 09:48:19 AM
There's always a rainbow after the rain. So just hold on tight and soon bitcoin's performance in the market will make us all happy. Everyday there are lots of newcomers into crypto space so we should expect that sooner or later bitcoin's value will recover and hope it will reach its ATH again within this year. Goodluck to all of us and have a great day ahead of you guys! Grin

you completely misunderstood the point of all this in my opinion.
basically things like this are proving that bitcoin's performance and dominance is not about its price and what it does in short term. instead it is about the only important thing which is adoption. and this shows that the adoption is growing despite the fact that price has gone down in short term.
604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It Takes 9343$ to mine one bitcoin, so no way i am selling it below 12000$ on: September 25, 2018, 09:44:45 AM
the reason you are still seeing difficulty increase is for the fact that Bitcoin is gaining mining momentum

no it is because it is profitable to mine bitcoin. and miners coming from all around the world with all kinds of costs including electricity costs as one of them. and it is sometimes gets more efficient to mine bitcoin with new ASICs. so the hashrate can go higher that way too.

606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be the year for Ripple? on: September 22, 2018, 09:36:22 AM
lol $100 for ripple.
if Ripple with 100 billion coins could reach $100 then bitcoin with 0.017 billion coins should be worth $1,000,000,000,000 in comparison.

besides XRP wasn't sleeping, it was getting dumped after having one of its biggest pumps in the history.
607  Economy / Speculation / Re: Billionaire Tim Draper Stands By Bullish $250,000 Bitcoin Price Target For 2022 on: September 22, 2018, 09:24:29 AM
Bitcoin is prone to blow-off tops, so I'd agree it's a conservative estimate. I think the next wave will go considerably higher (into the millions), but it's impossible to predict. I also really wonder how long this kind of growth can sustain for.

i don't think we are ready for the millions price yet. and that would be such a gigantic rise and it is unlike bitcoin to have a rise THAT big. the next round would probably be another 10x rise to $100k levels then with a new bubble afterwards which would require correction.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Delays Bitcoin ETF Despite 1,400 Public Comments in Favor on: September 22, 2018, 09:14:16 AM
it is funny to see how the comments about ETF and SEC decision have changed over the past couple of months. at first people were hopeful for the ETF acceptance and were always panicking with each rejection and delay but nowadays wherever i look people are always negative about it and are starting to not care about what SEC decides about it either.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: P2P service in india. is it legel ? on: September 22, 2018, 09:07:52 AM
Indian board is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=89.0
if you are really curious about what is going on over there then drop by and ask them about it.

if you are in India yourself then you have to ask some experts in India, people on the forum specially in boards like this are from other countries or they don't know.
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Updates Crypto Rankings, Downgrades Bitcoin on: September 22, 2018, 08:53:31 AM
The China Center for Information Industry Development has updated its crypto rankings. The list contains 33 crypto projects, ranked overall and in three separate categories. High up in the overall ranking are EOS, Ethereum, and Bitshares. Bitcoin, however, has been downgraded.

What does this indicate for Bitcoin in some years to come?
well, that's the basic-tech index. I think it will affect the altcoins but can not affect Bitcoin. Bitcoin's capitalization is still very high and it is not involved in competing among other altcoins because it is the king. I always believed that it would never lose its No. 1 position.

it won't affect either of them because these things are always going to be ignored by everyone in the market. some pumpers around the altcoin market may pick up the news and try miserably to pump their altcoin for a little while  but that would be about it.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on ICO or buy after being exchanged? on: September 20, 2018, 09:28:45 AM
in my opinion it depends on your strategy and the risks you want to take. some people are taking bigger risks since they are gamblers and invest in ICOs directly but most people want to be more cautious and have something as the base of their speculation before they invest so they wait for the coins to be on the exchanges and they wait for them to have some history at least and show some signs before jumping on board or staying away.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Coaching on: September 20, 2018, 09:17:20 AM
nah, i don't think so. specially not about the market and trading. the most successful traders are those who used their head and tried to gain experience in the market itself instead of looking for someone to take their hand and walk them through the market!
in fact i do believe that a "coach" will only give you theories and you will not be able to do anything with them unless you get your own hands dirty in the market.

not to mention that nobody is going to bother wasting their time teaching others while they can spend the time in the market earning money. so far everyone i have seen pretending to "teach" has been a newbie trying to start a pump and dump group.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not Accident, But Less Analysis on: September 20, 2018, 09:09:56 AM
the only valuable lesson in stories like this is that you should never wait until the very last moment for investment!

in this case he waited nearly 4 years and let the bitcoin price rise from about $200 to $20000 and then as bitcoin rally was coming close to the end he started thinking about investing in it!
well that is the dumbest move anyone can make and it is obviously going to end in a loss.

mark my words, in a couple of years we will see the exact copy of same news that some people lose money because they invested in bitcoin and it fell down to $85,000 after they bought at $100,000 so they lost money!
614  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHAT IN THE WORLD JUST HAPPENED!??? on: September 20, 2018, 09:03:06 AM
that is the beauty of a market that is maturing and eventually invalidating the meaning of a "whale" as they become small fishes against the much bigger market.
this is once again proof that you can not go against the market like this or you will be crushed. having a lot of money doesn't make someone a whale. that knowledge is what can make you a real whale.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to escape FUD and FOMO to peace of mind? on: September 18, 2018, 09:18:16 AM
both of these things you are talking about (FOMO and FUD) only concern newbies who have no idea what they are doing in the altcoin market. we are talking about newbies who buy altcoins and then hold on to them tight  all through their downfalls do the ground and for example those who are  currently in a loss that is bigger than 50% and in some cases goes up to even 90%.

you can not do anything to change this type of mindset among newbies. they continue making the same mistakes forever as long as they have money and the rest of the market thanks them for it.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price killing a lot of new ICO tokens on: September 18, 2018, 08:56:04 AM
You may have some misunderstandings. The value of ETH is provided by ICO. When there is a project demand, its value can grow! Although the price of ETH is falling, it does not affect ICO!

it actually works both ways.
meaning when ICOs are all crap and useless they lose value over time as they get dumped with time. and that brings ETH price down with it as it  is now losing demand.
similarly when ETH is losing value people are also leaving ICO tokens behind and many of them are also panic selling specially the ICO devs who had lots of funds to dump so it brings the price of both of them down.
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taiwanese Hospital Launches Blockchain Platform for Record Keeping on: September 18, 2018, 08:36:11 AM
unlike most people here i would like to  see this in real action first before saying whether this is really as great as they are saying it is or not. so far we have only heard the news and not what comes after. for example where is this hospital that is using this exactly, is the blockchain being used within the hospital itself or is it in the Taiwanese health system country wide?
and most important question of all is, did it really improve things or complicate them?
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin control the market? on: September 18, 2018, 08:31:45 AM
Virtually all crypto-currencies have a positive correlation among themselves. This means that the crypto-currency market as a whole reacts to the same factors, the general capitalization of the crypto-currency market fluctuates relative to some external factors, the crypto-currencies, in general, move synchronously. Of course, somewhere the connection between the individual currencies is higher, somewhere lower.

true but price of everything in this whole market is controlled by the way investors move their money and so far they have been moving their money towards bitcoin as a goal and that means whenever bitcoin is having a nice market for profit making they dump altcoins to come to bitcoin. so it  creates the illusion that bitcoin is controlling the market.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ETH collapse caused by panic selling of all the ETH raised in ICOs? on: September 16, 2018, 09:24:28 AM
that has always been a serious concern about ethereum among the big investors who are wise about their money. and it didn't start now that price is dropping. this concern was actually raised back when the price was getting pumped hard. people were seeing that the only reason for the big pump is the ICOs and they knew that when they start cashing out there can be a big dump.
not just that but also  like any other hype there is always an expiration date for these sorts of pumps.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All alt coin become shit coins. on: September 16, 2018, 09:14:50 AM
altcoins don't "become" shitcoins. they are either shitcoins in first place or they are not. if they were shitcoins, it means you were missing it because they were being pumped and you could make some small profit from that pump so you were blinded by greed.
otherwise a coin that is half decent will remain strong even if there is a small pump in it. these coins will always survive the long run but the shitcoins always have biggest pumps and are always on top of coinmarketcap.
