6001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies from hackers. on: March 07, 2020, 07:23:02 PM
As I was reading news today on cointelegraph, what i read really shocked me. It was about a new trojan. The trojan can affect exchanges apps. The trojan get access to specifically google factor authenticator on devices and steal it. Use the link below for the full details

https://cointelegraph.com/news/threat-alert-new-trojans-targeting-major-crypto-exchanges-apps-discovered

I am new to cryptocurrencies  but I gained a lot from this news. We need to stay connected everyday to read news because cyber criminals are looking for ways to steal our coins.

A week ago, I read about the safest wallets, I found out that the safest are paper wallet and hardware wallet. The wallets are offline but to make a transaction, you have to connect it online. I later read of a malware that can steal cryptocurrencies  from trezor or ledger nano in just 15 seconds which are the best hardware wallets.

So, we need to know how to manage our wallets too and have a strong antivirus to protect us from hackers and also we need to know the latest threats from cyber criminals so that we can protect ourselves away from them.

Just keep it simple! download a cold storage wallet and keep a backup of that wallet so you can get access to your wallet without any issue later on. Always keep the back-up phrases safe somewhere and not in the reach of anyone except you.

Never reveal your private key and never hold your crypto on a an exchange wallet. Always transact indore and never reveal that you earn from cryptocurrency.

Follow and you will be safe.
6002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bad Exchanges on: March 07, 2020, 06:21:19 PM
I'm just trying to do my part, I know many won't care and some don't even bother to read anymore, they are just here for bounties, here is for those who cares about reading and learning.

Stay away from the following exchanges, I have bad experience with them already and I can still see few people getting caught in same trap

1. Vindax
2. Systemkoin
3. P2PB2B
4. Latoken

Not just for fake volumes and watched trade but scams, lose of funds, swapping of withdrawal addresses, you name it, have a great day

I have not faced any bad exchange both locally and internationally. I do not think you will also face the problem if you had followed BTT before investing your money into  cryptocurrency.
6003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "5 coins to 5 million" on: March 07, 2020, 06:10:04 PM
What do you think would be the 5 coins Teeka Tiwari would disclose for buying on March 18?

Okay, so I understood that there is someone by the name of of teeka Tiwari will be disclosing on the top 5 coins to invest which will make to 5 million.

Why and what this guy is trying to prove?
6004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON’s Effort at Cryptocurrency Domination Sees Steemit Partnership on: March 07, 2020, 04:25:29 PM
I think this is a negative as we have recently seen in the news.

Steemit will just become a vehicle for marketing for TRON, which is sad.

Justin sun just like CZ have been always  used dubious and media centric strategy to ruin the cry pro community. The problem  here is no one has been challenged with their ways.

I am not sure what will happen in the future but, situation create by Justin sun might ruin everything happening in cryptocurrency.
6005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Publish0x September - October Update on: March 07, 2020, 03:52:34 PM
I have been using publish0x for over a year now and I highly recommend it. They are growing in users and content. i would get in there now and start earning, it's free so you have nothing to lose.

Since you mentioned that you have been using this platform for over a year now, if you could also post the screenshot of your earning here. I personally would be very much interested to know how much you have earned? As I have only used it for a month and did not like their algorithm on deciding which token to be credited.
6006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: March 07, 2020, 03:38:25 PM
Threat -for you if you treat Gambling as a Source of Income to earn more quick Money and also if you become addicted to gambling because you could lose all the money you have and also this will ruined your life because you can't control your self to gamble.
I believe almost 80 percent of gambling community is either addicted or use it as an earning source. I do know few firends of mine who have been utilising most of their salary to feed their addiction.

Quote

Fun- is when you treat Gambling as a time wasting and for fun only,  If you have control to your self and know your limitations .

I use is it to pass time and I am not gambling everyday as I am too pre occupied with my work. I believe you can also if you choose to work more than sit and gamble.
6007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh has a significant amount of Bitcoin trader on: March 07, 2020, 01:29:26 PM
As long as you do not use Bangladeshi banking system for cryptocurrency transactions, the government cannot trace you. Indians were using P2P transaction to fool the banks when the ban was placed and they were successful.

Government in third world countries do not have the resources to track and keep a check on every citizen. With the ban in place,  Bangladeshi crypto community is still active and earning.

6008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not suitable as a currency, it's a store of value on: March 07, 2020, 12:29:19 PM
Actually Bitcoin needs fiat currency to fuel its global value. Therefore it will never replace fiat in actual world. On the other hand Bitcoin is a digital currency and will replace fiat for digital transactions. The adoption is slow but gradually it is happening, considering Bitcoin is only a decade old.

With Lightening network you can send min 1 Satoshi and the payment is also instant.
6009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin become a safe haven for corona virus economic impact? on: March 07, 2020, 08:37:26 AM
At the moment BTC is holding its ground and I believe if things get really bad with corona virus BTC has a real chance for mass adoption. If corona virus gets really bad there will be leave without pay, global recession etc!

I do not understand on what sense do you think Bitcoin has a real chance for mass adoption? Bitcoins value is fueled by Fiat. If economic growth gets hampered due to the virus then it will also affect the crypto market.
6010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 07, 2020, 04:20:45 AM
You might want to read posts again..
Smith is not a world class batsman yet in my option as well because he is lacking some techniques while batting but he managed to score runs with his batting skills, still he was tested with strategies and got failed as well.

You need to rethink about your statement as he is one of best batsman in recent time because he is producing runs and giving very good results to his team which are helping them a lot Aussies are mostly done many strategies and they keep doing because they have really amazing system and good things to increase performance.
Scoring not alone makes them best batsmen, their techniques and range of shots.

Okay lets take Sehwag and Dravid as an example,Sehwag scores more runs than dravid on most of the matches but based on techniques Dravid is most stronger than Sehwag so now who you will say as best batsmen?
For me Sehwag is match winner and Dravid is not like this as technique not going to work every time you need to score runs for win and this not need any technique these runs can came from any where we have many batsmen those was technically not good but give good runs and results.

You can also compare him with Sachin, he is the number one batsman in the world till now. He did not have a technique like Dravid but still was a match-winner most of the time. I never heard Dravid being called as a match-winner but a wall to hold middle order. Technique do not work when you play cricket nowadays. It is always the presence of mind and choosing the write short at the write time.
6011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 07, 2020, 04:03:57 AM
It is the bowling quality of Zimbabwe that are encouraging the Bangladesh batsman to become attacking players and Tamim Iqbal is back in form with back to back centuries and Liton Das posting his highest ODI score in this match, there is no way Zimbabwe will be reaching close to the score posted and if the Bangladesh batsman can showcase the same confidence against better teams then it would be great Grin.
In recent times I think Bangladesh had bad experience against every team because of their batting department did not perform and on a sudden the unit has changed totally which was surprising too me. But now it make sense. So they are facing a weaker bowling unit.

The require rate of the match is now over 15 an over and there are still over 15 overs lefts. 2 wickets in hand so nothing much is going to happen for Zim team.

Whatewashed ?

What were you expecting?

Zimbabwe will fight back and claim the match.

They hardly play any International series nowadays. This was just a practice match for Bangladesh and nothing more.
6012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: March 07, 2020, 03:59:54 AM
Can someone comfirm this age restriction from malawi.? Personally I think people should have known what's right from what's wrong and be able to stand alone before they are introduced to gambling. Age 16-18 is a good bench mark.

I am also surprised to see Malawi's legal age for gambling.

LOL 5 years, they are still feeding on their mother's milk but they are legal enough to gamble. I am sure the lawmakers in Malawi were high on something while discussing about the age limit for gambling.

6013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 07, 2020, 03:55:11 AM
It was good to see the WI win a series away from home, they have always been a good T20 team but their form in recent times hasn't been that great so for them to win the series away from home will give them some confidence heading into the T20 world cup later this year.

WI is by far a better team than the Srilankans. I was not surprised to see how easily they won the T20 series. It was a complete whitewash. Srilanka's batting has been an issue not many good players left in the team.

6014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough of bounty scam, you can help to stop it too. on: March 06, 2020, 05:28:14 PM
Bounty should not be treated as a confirmed source of earning. If you follow the above rule and still get scammed do not come here and crib. Bounty is basically an extra source of earning cryptos. Bounty was meant to build community and give them the opportunity to earn some tokens without investing.

Bounty hunters have made bounties as an occupation now and therefore they are always cribbing and crying for tokens.
6015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is CoronaCoin profiting off death and Infection? on: March 06, 2020, 05:04:31 PM
The big question that comes to my mind first is why only corona virus?

Using corona virus as Amran to amke money is highly unethical and degrading. You cannot make money from the death of an innocent. But, it is a fact in this world there are many people who earn through death.

Just go to the nearby cemetary at your location and talk to the caretaker there, you will be suprised to hear how many business are running because of death.
6016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: YOU JUST CAN'T SKIP KNOWLEDGE IN THIS INDUSTRY on: March 06, 2020, 04:46:02 PM
While humans keep looking for easy way out of their financial woes, there is a high tendency they will keep failing prey for lack of financial intelligence and their unwillingness to learn. The blockchain industry is a bit technical and the basic of bitcoin transactions can be taught in a simple way and be digested by any willing mind.

It happened last that my former course mate saw things about bitcoin on my status, he decided to pay me visit for some tutorials, I gave him an introductory class with some notes, since I was not going to help him invest his money on some money spinning machine with a daily or weekly payout, he never show up again.

In the early hours of today he dropped two messages on my whats-app as follows:

1. How long does it take bitcoin wallet to transfer bitcoin before it gets to the receiver?
2. And what is the highest a beginner can transfer out of his wallet?

At the introductory class, he was thought the 2 above and what a custodian and non-custodian wallet is all about.
Long story short, himself and his friend bought bitcoin using bitstocksFx, never heard of this broker before, besides, I don't need any third party to buy me bitcoin. They claimed to be a bitcoin broker, they had initially purchased $500 worth, the suppose brother told them it was too small to be transferred out because they were new, they deposited additional $500, the next day they saw an imaginary $15k which they couldn't transfer out, they were told the money was invested for them and they need to deposit more in other to withdraw both the capital and the interest. When he suspected some foul play, he remembered me. I told he had rejected a free training class and that his friend and him have been scammed. I just recommended where he can legitimately buy bitcoin.

People hate to hear the truth, and the price they have to pay for short cut is been victim of scammers. I am waiting for him if he still wants to learn the basics of bitcoin, this I will still do for free.

That is one costly short cut he took. Ideally anyone else would have invested more but your stupid friend was smart enough to understand it was a scam. People still believe Bitcoin is the shortest way to become a millionaire.

They should understand Bitcoin is not a scheme first. It is a technology to become financially independent.
6017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the right time to invest in Stellar (XLM) in short term? on: March 06, 2020, 03:57:52 PM
I would not recommend you to invest in any coins at the moment as the market is trading sideways. You should always enter the market when it is bear and leave when it is Bull. For short term profit this is not the right time.

Do not buy XLM for short terms gain, you should only buy it for long term. I would recommend you to check LINK. It has be growing up in the present maket condition. You can make a quick profit in short term.

DYOR...
6018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India: Timeline on Crypto's fight against RBI crypto ban on: March 06, 2020, 03:39:55 PM
A two year long battle and a great victory to cherish. I still remeber how banks were blackmailing individual user of closing their accounts for doing transaction with exchanges. Some private banks went ahead and closed account without any notification.

There were so much panic and uncertainties among the Indian crypto community in 2018.

6019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 06, 2020, 11:27:01 AM
3rd ODI begins and Zimbabwe asked Bangladesh to bat and would be disappointed with this call as they have post the highest opening partnership of 182/0 before the rains interrupted the match .  33.2 overs have being bowled and Das has hit another century and batting on 102 and Tamim on 79. I think if match starts it may reduced the overs. Zimbabwe might just want to pick up quick wickets now so that even if DL come into picture later they can have advantage .

Not expecting any wonders from the Zimbabwe side. They made a weak team if I compare them with Bangladesh team. I doubt if they will be able to win this match. Bangladesh has already won the series.
6020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stack Sats Calculator - How much bitcoin you would have if you keep saving sats! on: March 06, 2020, 11:13:18 AM
it is a fun tool as long as these stats are not taken as literal, meaning you can't really buy $2 bitcoin per day. in reality you'll have to put the money somewhere (like in a drawer or something) until it is accumulated enough to reach a higher amount and then use it to buy bitcoin.
there is also the obvious issue with accumulating dust and ending up having to pay a huge fee to spend all those transaction outputs if someone were to really stack small amounts of bitcoin in their wallets.

in any case i like the idea of setting aside some money to buy bitcoin specially in the linked article at the bottom the section about "Cutting unncessary expenses". that is what i have always suggested others to do.

It is a hypothetical scenario as you cannot purchase Bitcoin everyday but, you still can buy it once a month, every month. If you divide that amount that you plan to invest once every month by 30, you will get the daily amount. Now all you need to do is to input the daily amount on the calculator and you will have your answer.
30 is the average number of days in a month.
