621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bold step to invest my fiat in Bitcoin on: February 27, 2023, 10:48:08 PM
Congratulation and continue buying Bitcoin, DCA would be the best practice for purchasing Bitcoin.
There's a question above that I will repeat here OP because this is very important stuff to know, where did you store the Bitcoin that purchased?
If that is on the centralized wallet which I think is based on the image you've shown, you're not safe because you didn't have full control over your coins, the golden rule that always to remember, "Not your keys, not your coin".  Just quickly move your Bitcoin to a safe wallet, Electrum would be the best for beginners because it is free to install.

One thing that you must be always remembered, never to panic and sell and never sell under the price where you purchase, that's insane.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana was recently down, again! on: February 26, 2023, 11:59:32 PM
I am losing hope in Solana started of what happened during the FTX Exchange tragedy, Solana network seems always have downtime, look at now, even bear market, they still experience downtone which as I remember before, their downtime/s was during the bull market which is somehow expected to happen, but now? Seems no.
AFAIK, it was Solana has faced security vulnerabilities, such as the Wormhole exploit in November 2021, which allowed attackers to mint and sell fake tokens on the network, I am right?

It might this was what you meant during the bull market, AFAIK, around February 2022, Solana experienced a surge in transaction volume that exceeded the network's processing capacity, causing a chain split and a temporary network outage.  Also, they have faced issues with bugs in their software, which have caused network instability and other problems.
623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: have found my wallet from 2014 on: February 26, 2023, 11:52:35 PM
how long would take to crack password like this !!!Bicointalk?!## ? or i must wait 30+ years for quantum PCs ?
More worst, you won't open your wallet but it's worth trying that big amount.
Attempting to brute-force a 19-character Bitcoin wallet would be an extremely difficult task, even for a powerful computer you've said (quantum computers).  The number of possible combinations for a 19-character password is incredibly large, making it virtually impossible to crack without knowing some information about the password beforehand.

I may advise you to seek a trusted service to help you crackling down your password or brute force your password.  But take note it should be a trusted service and IMO, it was suggested above.  Go to their ANN thread and contact OP but of course, this is not free.
624  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need help please on: February 26, 2023, 11:38:40 PM
just give me the guidelines please I beg everyone in this room
Guidelines here in the forum?
Just read those pinned posts on this board and you'll see a lot of helpful topics that will aware you of the dos and don'ts in the forum.

Even outside of the forum, once you copy and pasted it from the article it's considered stealing other people's work or copy-pasting, without citing a source of the link or commonly called plagiarism.  It's important to always properly cite your sources and give credit where credit is due.  If you're unsure about whether or not you need to cite a particular source or how to do so, it's always better to err on the side of caution and include a citation.

I greet everyone in the house please I am new here I hope I am highly welcome.
You're welcome, only those people who have banned and created another account are not welcome here in the forum anymore.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I've been scared to invest in bitcoin on: February 26, 2023, 11:23:09 PM
some of these wallet aren't even user friendly
Make it simple with Electrum wallet, it's a pretty simple user interface and easy to understand for the new user.
Just make sure you've downloaded it from the official website.

and also, there should a transparency in the market.
In the centralized market exchange, you won't see transparency but the transaction of Bitcoin itself which is publicly seen through a blockchain network.

My question is this, is it possible for bitcoin to be completely immune to volatility in years to come?
There are several factors that contribute to the volatility of Bitcoin, including regulatory changes, geopolitical events, adoption rates, and technological advancements.  So I think it's unlikely that Bitcoin will become completely immune to volatility in the years to come.
626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you running your BTC wallet on Linux? Why? on: February 26, 2023, 10:59:28 PM
There are several factors the reason hackers are less target LINUX because it's open source (correct me if I'm wrong with this thought) which means that its code is publicly available and can be reviewed by anyone.  This makes it easier for security experts to identify and patch vulnerabilities.

Here are my reasons, IMO.
  • Linux has a smaller market share than Windows, meaning there are fewer potential targets for hackers.
  • Linux is an open-source operating system

Many Bitcoin users prefer to use Linux for its security features and because it allows for greater control over the system.
So yes, I tend to agree with the comments above about Linux for better security and less malware.
627  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor with Exodus wallet recovery on: February 25, 2023, 03:35:05 PM
I would like to know where am I able to recover this wallet in case Exodus goes bankrupt or whatever.
Why not use the Trezor web browser interface to track down your coins in your Trezor wallet, no need for third-party wallets.

But to answer your question here are alternative wallet to Exodus but I think only MyCrypto wallet support XRP.

628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i want to know about velo coin on: February 24, 2023, 11:59:21 PM
See it here.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/velo/

Investing in new altcoins can be likened to gambling in some ways, as both involve taking risks with the potential for significant gains or losses.
So, do proper research before putting your investment here.  It seems it boils down to shitcoin and the hype was done.
629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching teenagers about bitcoin. on: February 24, 2023, 11:45:45 PM
I appreciate your effort in teaching them and encouraging them about Bitcoin.
It can be an excellent way to introduce them to the world of cryptocurrency and help them build a foundation of financial literacy that will serve them well throughout their lives, the same on my side, IMO it changed a lot.

I think it's good also if you encourage teenagers to research Bitcoin on their own and to learn more about how it fits into the broader financial landscape after teaching them and also encourage them to ask questions and to seek out additional information as needed regarding technical stuff (because this is very crucial).  Just be patient and supportive as they navigate this new and complex subject matter.

Keep it up.

630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Awareness and Redemption on: February 24, 2023, 11:35:09 PM
I ultimately made the decision to make amends and resolved to be more engaged with other forum sections to learn more about it and, ideally, discover Bitcoin. I'm hoping I still have time to start over and prove myself in this place. I need guidance
Because you're here to think of making money not gaining knowledge in the first place.  It's easy if you've knowledgable enough which is many rewards waiting ahead.  There are too many opportunities outside the forum to bring the knowledge that you obtained here and also quite good if you seek first a website that hires a freelancer job which I think enhanced your skills.

I tend to agree that's totally wasting of time and the reason I quit a long time ago.
It's over now not like before, yes before it was profitable even joining airdrop when I was here in 2017, but now, most of them turned into scams.
631  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading season? on: February 21, 2023, 11:36:48 PM
I want to to be satisfied with trade having it season of profit?
Trading is based on market trends and patterns that potentially all traders will not make a profit at a time, if there are winners, of course, there are also losers.  But sometimes considering when there's a certain period of time that usually we saw an increase in market activity and trading volume increase, leading to more favorable trading conditions, which we think that's a trading season.

But in the end always remember, trading in any market is inherently risky and requires careful analysis and consideration of market conditions and individual circumstances.  DYOR is always your priority.
632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a safe practice sending Bitcoin and accessing Bitcoin wallet? on: February 21, 2023, 11:11:03 PM
Once we're connected to the internet we're always vulnerable to hacking but it doesn't mean you're not safe.

This is what you should do with your internet connection.
  • Strong password that is not easy to guest
  • Router's firmware is up to date
  • Strong encryption to secure your wireless network, (WPA2)
  • firewall monitors traffic, blocks any unauthorized traffic
  • Regularly check your router's logs to see if there have been any unauthorized attempts to access your network.

That's usually what I always do with my Routers to check always.
Aside from that, sending Bitcoin using Electrum is still at risk depending on your computer use, not your connection, you can use Electrum while not connected to the internet.
633  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hacked for 165k STAKE.COM on: February 21, 2023, 10:49:25 PM
First, sorry for your loss.
I checked the link above on the gambling section it seems you already have an answer there, there's nothing that will help you aside from Stake only, not here.  If you need to sympathize that's it but your case didn't solve or else just try to move on by your own mistake by clicking malicious links that lead you to a hack.

Just learn from this costly mistake and stay away from Teleghram next time, as we know Telegram is a house of scammers who are waiting to have a victim.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best current microcap coins to stake to earn BTC/DOGE on: February 20, 2023, 11:59:15 PM
What are the best current microcap coins to stake to earn BTC/DOGE?

These are highest profit coins also but also provide a high risk.
You've already mentioned that it's a high risk which seems like you gamble your money in staking, especially microcap coins, which can be highly risky.  It's important to do your own research and consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.  Not asking here in the forum.

The comment above was right, buy Bitcoin or Dogecoin and hold it for a long run with your desire profit, that's a wise decision than staking which you didn't have control over your coin.
635  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: starting holding with an "old" hardware wallet on: February 20, 2023, 11:36:14 PM
I didn't personally use this hardware wallet because I heard some mild issues but I think if it will work fine for you, why not.
if your hardware wallet didn't compromise there's no reason of changing your wallet.

There are various hardware wallets that you can choose from if you wanted to seek other hardware wallets.
Open Source Hardware Wallets

I only tried Ledger wallet which works fine for me.
636  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance's 98% Dominance: Should We Be Worried? on: February 20, 2023, 11:21:48 PM
For the high Dominance exchange it's natural that we worried but IMO not on Binance, this exchange is on the top exchange and has generally been seen as a highly reputable and very popular exchange.  So IMO, nothing to worry about.

The risks would be if you're not in a top and reputable exchange.
  • Liquidity risks
  • Security risks
  • Regulatory risks

However, we shouldn't be confident too much since it's a centralized exchange, it's important to monitor the exchange's actions closely and ensure that it's not engaging in anti-competitive or fraudulent activities that could harm the overall health of the industry.  Don't let your coins sleep there and always remember the golden rule of crypto "Not your keys, not your coins".
637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to surprise a friend on: February 20, 2023, 11:05:12 PM
That's a generous gift no one would refuse that amount.

There's no problem with your plan and that's impressive, gift cards or hardware wallet that has Bitcoin inside is a good gift and those who receive them will surely be surprised.  I'm sure your friend will never forget this unique gift of yours, but also an opportunity to dive deeper into the world of crypto and explore many ways in which it can be utilized to enhance their financial portfolio.  Who knows since your friend already had knowledge of Bitcoin, he can able to manage to grow his portfolio through trading.

Well, good luck.

639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anonymity vs. KYC: The Pros and Cons of Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: February 19, 2023, 11:48:27 PM
That's why it remains an issue of trust before using a platform and the options to KYC is always left with you.
I tend to agree with this.

Both of them have a downside whether it's DEX or CEX, if you will entrust your private documents in any exchange make sure about their trust issue.  Many people now are convenient in using CEX because they can able reach out to the team when they have a problem but in DEX, once you have a mistake, it's unrecoverable.

In a case of anonymity, it's clearly CEX is very dangerous, but I don't see it when it comes to reputable or top exchanges.
It might be an unpopular exchnage has an issue of a data breach not being on top exchange.
640  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How do i sign a message on: February 19, 2023, 11:29:15 PM
Correct me if I'm wrong but AFAIK, but in the mobile version of Electrum wallet, you can't do a signed message.
It's pretty easy when you are in a desktop version wallet and following the link that showed above will make it easier.

But you can verify a signed message through your phone, just visit these two websites.
