621  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin current range: $25K to $32K on: October 21, 2023, 06:10:34 AM
Just to be safe in my prediction, I have voted for Apr-Jun 2024 or later. I'm basing on the past movement of Bitcoin pre and post halving. But if I'm wrong on this one, just fine since we're all just having our thoughts, opinions and guesses on this one.

Another factor aside from the halving will be the ETF news. Once there's a legitimate news about just one approval from those, we'll actually see the break out.

The fake one did a huge jump so we're putting also our faith on the legit one.

Wooah wooah.

There's some catch for the first match of Virtus.Pro and Team Spirit. Although the series hasn't ended yet but the first map was won by Virtus.Pro. Are they going to send Team Spirit in the lower bracket?

We're going to see that on the 2nd map if VP will still win or if Team Spirit will manage to make a redeem of themselves. 2nd map is on and they're now at the start of pickings while I am typing this.
623  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Upbit Got approval In Singapore on: October 20, 2023, 10:47:09 AM
Does it mean Singapore is friendly to cryptocurrency? Is there a chance Bitcoin can be legalised there? Nevertheless these approvals are good news for us in the Bitcoin community... my question is just to gauge the level of Bitcoin penetration there.
Yup, Singapore is certainly one of the crypto friendly countries. As a matter of fact, it's not just Upbit that got approval and license there. A competitor in exchange business and not just a simple one but a major player, Coinbase just got approved there as well.

Coinbase obtains Major Payment Institution licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore

So, these are like go signals for other crypto exchanges to take them and have their approvals and license there. They're attracting them and telling to have an headquarters on their country.
624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Awareness - Welcoming New Bitcoiners with $1 Worth of Sat in Cameroon on: October 19, 2023, 12:03:59 PM
Good job. You guys are doing really a good job on this on because since I've seen the other posts that have been doing initiatives like this, you know that it's not that easy to organize this type of seminar or meet ups.

While on your end, you're dedicating your time, money and effort in educating those that are not yet aware of Bitcoin. I don't know how much and big the crypto movement there in Cameroon.

But activities like this are always appreciated.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: October 19, 2023, 07:59:43 AM
I can't wait for the main event to start for the TI. The first match is just a day and a few hours left for it to start. And it's Team Spirit and Virtus.Pro and TS is like the most sought team that shall take this year's aegis.

I am recognizing how strong they are and they're in a winning streak since the group stages. While VP managed to get into the upper bracket, their line up and experience can't be compared against the former TI champs, Team Spirit.

So, for the very first game tomorrow it's for Team Spirit and they are what I think that's likely to win and will proceed to Upper Bracket Semifinals.
626  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Flood the natural disaster on: October 19, 2023, 05:07:18 AM
This has something to do with the melting ice glaciers because of the global warming. The sea level is increasing and this is more than the floods that we're experiencing right now.

In Indonesia[1], it is one of the countries that has this worry. Yeah, it may not be an actual flood but it's the same as having more water on their floors and roads.

[1] Indonesia’s Drowning Land

It is a more worrying thing than the floods but I am not ignoring the effects of floods that are into those areas that are experiencing it.

And even with those clean and working drainage system once the sea level rises, many of those countries that are being surrounded by bodies of water will be seriously impacted by this.

While I also noticed and happy to see bitvest campaign back. But this thread should serve its purpose as the thread mainly for the actual website and gambling service related to bitvest and not for its campaign.

If the discussion is all about its campaign, maybe make a new one in the service discussion or go actually to the thread on the services.

Just my two sats.
628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Simple Yet Powerful Message That Will Always Hold True on: October 18, 2023, 05:49:39 PM
That makes sense and it's true story for the most. We've got friends that have been in that scenario that we told them to buy Bitcoin and they're completely good.

Well, honestly for those that have never listened but yet still made profit or did it the right time to sell that's good if that's what happened to many of them.

But the majority of them never took profit, bought not Bitcoin but instead meme coins and other altcoins that don't even have liquidity. They just don't want to listen but they want to have an idea and want to show that they're better from someone they've heard the idea of Bitcoin.
629  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: October 18, 2023, 12:16:23 PM
We all want to save money, but it's not always easy.
There are so many things that tempt us to spend, unexpected bills that pop up, and it can be hard to make ends meet.
Just be responsible and that's more than what saving is. Although it is necessary for us to save for the rainy days because we don't know what situation we will be in by that time.

If you're able to pay the bills, be proud of it. Not everybody does that because they don't account their responsibilities like as simple as paying bills.

How do you manage to save in a world that encourages spending? Let's talk about it.
Share your ideas, tips, and stories about saving money, and together, we can figure out how to get better at it. (We will also draw valuable lessons from the mistakes and experiences of others.)
Start saving like a couple of bucks whenever you receive from any source or profit you make. And practice it until you make it as a habit and from there, you'll get a larger plan that you should save double of that amount until it's more than what you can ever imagine.

And do not forget the typical tip that you'll hear from everybody and that's to only live within your means.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 17, 2023, 01:38:23 PM
I want to pose a question that I believe is quite expensive for many of us here, and it's a dilemma most of us can relate to. We all know that gambling is a game where we put our luck to the test. However, there's a crucial moment in every gambler's journey. the moment when you hit that big win. Do you cash out and savor your victory, or do you continue playing in hopes of even bigger winnings?

I've often wondered how many of us can truly stop playing when we are ahead. It's a challenge because the allure of winning more can be irresistible. I've witnessed situations where a friend deposited money into a casino, faced losses, and just when he was on the brink of frustration, he struck a significant win. Did he stop playing? No, he left his winnings in the casino, only to lose it all again.
So, I ask you all, what would you do when you finally make that big win? Would you cash out immediately to enjoy your winnings, or would you keep playing in the hopes of an even more substantial prize? Shocked
Well, each of us have different attitudes towards gambling and when we win. If the amount of winning is hefty, I am sure that the majority of us will secure our bankroll or capital and then let it go with the remaining ones. Let it loose or let it reproduce.

For those gamblers that have been losing a lot, and if an opportunity has come then it's a mistake not to cash out. You don't want to lose all of it again when you've won the tough way.

I know that there are gamblers that will ignore that fact of securing themselves money despite winning big. It's because they won't waste the opportunity that they think that luck is still with them and they need to max it out.

But definitely the wisest thing to do is to cash out with the money you think is enough for you and if you want to continue, leave some balance that you can afford to lose.
631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was ripped off on: October 17, 2023, 10:17:48 AM
We're sorry to tell you that Bitcoin transactions once sent are irreversible. The BTC you've sent to that guy is already on him and can only be recovered if he sends it back to you.
Exactly so is how the case proceeds. I don't know why the sudden discovery after the money has been sent already. Am very sure you, OP agreed to pay in installments until the payment for the car is complete, hence why you sent the first payments.
It's likely that he doesn't know the procedure on how payments and installments come with the procedures of purchasing a car. A downpayment without having the receipt of the payment but only the TXID is already suspicious.

Even if as it stands, the guy is a scammer, the money is gone and can't be reversed, but if anything can be done with the i.d of the guy, please go ahead let justice be served.
Few to no chance of knowing who's the scammer since there are no information that are included on this transaction. But maybe OP can go back to the roots where he has met that guy.

@OP just as whateveryone is saying here, yo can post the TXID and maybe someone will show off from the address of the scammer.
632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was ripped off on: October 17, 2023, 07:05:55 AM
Mate, you're paying a downpayment for a car through instructions by sending that guy with an electrum wallet? Is it your first time to buy a car or you didn't researched how to purchase and avail your very first car?

Transactions like this won't be honored by the dealer because most of them have their traditional method for payments.

We're sorry to tell you that Bitcoin transactions once sent are irreversible. The BTC you've sent to that guy is already on him and can only be recovered if he sends it back to you.
633  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: YouTuber's hype video is not good advice on: October 16, 2023, 04:03:30 PM
Everyone must remember that YouTube is a video sharing website and everyone's opinion there is welcome as long as they're not harmful and they don't go against the platform's rule and policies.

Even if you like what you're watching there and those content creators that are making positive videos about Bitcoin, you still need to guard your heart.

It's because you'll never know that because of too much praise of what's happening in the market and you're just nodding to anything they say, that's quite alarming and you need to do some waking up.

And much more with the negative news and videos they make, always verify and that's simple as that.

Could you recommend crypto-related YouTube channels for a beginner?
Although I haven't followed many of his videos but this guy is known to the community, Andreas Antonopoulos.

https://www.youtube.com/@aantonop

As you browse below that channel, you'll see some vids for beginners.

He's got book as well. He can be one of your reference if it's about the YouTube as platform but still, make sure that you do reading as a habit because there are more valuable materials that you can read than of these videos.

I know that we've got different sense in acquiring knowledge and videos are like a shortcut of it with visuals.

635  Economy / Gambling / Re: Togelbet new casino manual on: October 16, 2023, 10:27:08 AM
IIRC, there have been the same game before. But why you didn't include bitcoin as one of the deposits? Majority of the gamblers here are into Bitcoin so why not add it?

I think as you start, just like what they say about an escrow that's much better. The concerns of having that deposit for websites like yours isn't complete with the trust.

I know that you do understand that and you're trying to build your reputation in here, other than that if you're able to overcome that and prove everyone wrong, you'll also earn it.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: October 15, 2023, 11:52:12 PM
Tundra 🆚 nouns: Tundra -1.5 @ 1.40 (Leetbit.io)
Tundra are definitely a favourites here. nouns is a Regional North American team that came from qualifiers. They are led by Gunnar, Moo and Lelis. Pretty well known names on American Dota 2 scene. However, as we know, none of American teams is on the level of European teams, especially Tundra. Tundra are one of the top 5 favourites for The International trophy. Tundra did pretty good so far, 3 wins and 1 draw. While nouns still don't know about a win in this tournament.
Nouns won the first game and that was an amazing Earthshaker and Witch Doctor combo. That last clash that they've made was just so satisfying to see.

They are on the 2nd map now and we shall see if Tundra will redeem themselves and will force match into a game 3.

I expect win for Tundra here, definitely. 2-0 most likely, so handicap -1.5 is a way to go.
It could be now for nouns and not for Tundra but maybe a 2-1 for Tundra is possible.
637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One of ways to identify scams on: October 15, 2023, 10:50:07 PM
It seems like it is targeting those pi users which the project is also likely a scam. So, it turns out that a likely scam project has got and produced another scammer that tries to phish its users.

With all of those tips, it all ends up with the simple;

DYOR.

And with the obvious about websites asking for your keys, never give it to them because it should only be kept by none other than you.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: October 15, 2023, 09:38:59 PM
A sip of coffee could do that and that's what you need to think of when you're trying to get that hands off gambling. Instead of funding your gambling account, you think that you're urging for a coffee.

That's totally low cost and effective but another chance of you that you may become a coffee lover and addicted to it.

But what's better? Get into coffee and try one because before I don't think that I'll love coffees but once you try it, you'll never go back.

Team Spirit continued to prove on who they are against Shopify Rebellion and they've won two matches straight in a best of 3 series. They're proving that they shouldn't be underestimated because they're also a former TI champ and a 2-time hopeful.

Whilst for other matches, TSM and VP. I didn't know that VP got some sudden buff and was able to beat them on a 2-0 as well.

SR will win a map
I also thought that they will but they didn't.
640  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Government job or private job? on: October 14, 2023, 01:26:14 PM
As they said, government job is better compare to private job because it is permanent and pensionable and the job is more secured.
And another thing is they're easier than the corporate and private jobs.

Though private job too some are pensionable but not permanent and not that secured. And again in private job, you have the opportunity to let them know how much you want to be paid. You can either be paid higher or lower base on how you present yourself.
It's true because in government jobs, there's a certain allocation that's given to post and the increase will vary if the budget allocated will also increase.

But many have learned with the private sectors and jobs there that even they say that you're in a permanent position, this past years through pandemic have taught us that jobs aren't permanent.

Which one do you prefer if you are given an offer?
These days, many are choosing to get into side hustles because you own your time and you can do much within 24 hours unlike with government and private jobs that you're tied to work 8 A.M to 5 P.M. or any timeframe for that 9 hour schedule for job of yours.

IMO, as long as it brings food to the table and you love what you're doing then that's more important to choose. Because when you love your job regardless if it's from a private company or from the government, nothing beats being happy while working and there's no toxicity.
