I try and buy physical items for $USD as much as possible. Then you know you always spent X USD on whatever you bought later down the road instead of going oh fuck, I paid XXX USD now that BTC has gone (pick your direction). Crypto can be easier, but why bother when crypto is better than Trump-bucks in the long term? Especially when you have to report all the BTC spends to the IRS anyhow... maybe - but I still prefer to pay in crypto. If I am cashing out crypto to buy fiat and then use fiat - the whole change in btc value is still in play as it would be if I paid in crypto - the only difference is all the fees associated with fiat.

You are not embarrassed to post such an abysmal offer? This is what can be characterized as a " Guaranteed loser". That sale price, non-hosted... at .04 cents per kwh is a 2 year ROI. Add in your horrible metric, and this pays back......never. I don't understand why people tolerate the insidious nature of these "COLO's". People need to be made aware of this parasitic business model. These businesses contribute nothing more than destructive facets to the space.
not to mention this price is close to 700 over what Bitmain charged for the same unit.

btc.com? let me go in and look at my account. I dont recall mining there at all in 2020. yep it is pool.btc.com - the last payment I show from them in my records is 09/20/2018 - but it came from that same address as the one above. did they at some time have merged mining that they finally paid out or something? here is my payment screen nothing since 2018 and it was even a different address than the one I used for btc.com ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ibb.co%2Fydn3p4T%2FUntitled.jpg&t=663&c=hrIE8BzwJHZE7Q) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ibb.co%2FF0rXLgR%2FUntitled1.jpg&t=663&c=HBS6dXV0mKUFiQ) but at least I can mark it as from them even if I don't know why they paid me. edit: in looking back they did have merged mining for NMC, ELA and VCASH which I had no addresses added for those. So maybe they did a clean up and converted them to btc and paid it out - not sure. Either way, I can consider this closed. Thanks Phil

because I wanted to pay with crypto. ended up closing the page as well.
sounds good, tbh i was trying to buy like 5 Penguins a few weeks ago and when i couldn't find how to pay in crypto, i just left the site (and now am looking on this board instead for some)
what is wrong with paying by credit card or paypal ? I bought a couple of penguins when they first came out early this year, paid using Fiat. Nothing wrong with it - I don't use personal funds, I use the business's funds and my business makes it's revenue in crypto - so to buy in fiat requires that I sell the crypto and get fiat cash - I prefer not to do so as much as possible. I have done it a few time though.

What was the amount?
.005 btc and change - it was part of a total payment of 25 someodd btc paid out from this one address. the amount is trivial but the point is I can track down every in/out of every wallet I have except this one damn transaction.

I say kudos to him for building a farm... My progress has halted at buying the land. Most of what I had saved up for the building and infrastructure went to supporting my kids/grandkids - the joy and pain of having 8 kids and 10 grandkids lol - during these months of COVID where they were out of work but unable to get unemployment or assistance due to our state/county sites failing - for my daughter to claim one week took almost 6 hours of straight up logging in, starting the process, getting kicked and starting over - repeated over and over.
Had there been no COVID, I most likely would have my 80'x40' building up and then be working at filling it with miners.

So many people/newbies (including myself at first)! don't realize how awesome poly notes are. I guess that is good for me right now though! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I like the poly notes - just wish I could buy direct with crypto vs paying premium here - a lot cheaper if can be bought direct. but they dont take crypto payments... yet, they have said they will be soon though! this is a really cool one as well

question - when I scan the code on the front of my stamp it takes me to their page and at the bottom of each page it tells me cs2, what animal, what color, the serial number etc
above that it says:
currently owned by:
"random address"
each of mine show a different address.
does this mean someone has already claimed them?
That's the ETH address associated with the STamp and each stamp has it's own eth address. ok and with the private key under it, I can claim it to my own address? or do i simply claim the address it is on? You can Claim it to ur address, that way u can add it to ur collections and get a nice achievement.. gotcha - may do this, may not - still waiting on the ones I preordered.

question - the one in the pictures, is that the one you are selling or do you have another one? As it appear to have ever been funded. but based on the "unpeeled/unredeemed" aspect, it makes me think you have a funded one that has not been redeemed? The note in the pics is the one for sale/trade. It has never been funded. I do not own a funded Suisse note. Does that answer your questions? yes thanks! just making sure. I bought one once that the image shown was not the one I got - in the image it was a funded one - the one I got was not funded. So, I find it best to ask. Especially if considering to make an offer.

why would the malaysia ones be more expensive? and 200 more than the china sourced ones? I guess what I am asking is what did you pay for them? the advertised 1750? what warrants such a huge markup? At bitmains price and free electricity - if difficulty and price hold, these would be over 12 months roi and that is with FREE electricity. and that is before shipping and tariffs - which would push it out another few months. And we all know diff will go up, it always does. so maybe now 2 years to make roi? which wont happen because in 10-12 months BM will release new miners making it even more impossible for these to make ROI.
I guess my point is that even BM price makes it hard to ROI with free electricity - add in the tariffs and markups and its a pipe dream.
and this is by no means directed at you per se - all the resellers are doing the same thing --- buying all the stock before the actual miners can -- and then reselling it for huge markups.
would seem like it would be better if there were no resellers and miners could actually buy from manufacturer - but i also know that some places cannot buy direct so need resellers and are thus forced to pay the increased prices.
and this is the reason I only ever buy from resellers for new gear. I cannot justify the lack of roi or huge premiums to buy from resellers.
