641  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game asking for KYC before letting me Withdraw on: May 01, 2024, 11:27:03 PM
Thanks, their ANN doesnt allow to comment on it though?
What's the error you encountered when you're trying to post on their ann? I see it's not lock yet and i as far as i remember there is no newbie restriction posting on some threads though.
642  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game asking for KYC before letting me Withdraw on: May 01, 2024, 03:52:49 PM
What did they say to you when you finished yours? Did you use an ID that bcgame accepts?  It would be preferable if you were able to provide us with images of the responses you are receiving so that the site representative can be notified about your issue.
What i understand is the OP was asked to do KYC but the bc.game website don't let him do it, it's either a bug something like there's no button for KYC or OP was just KYC declined.

Their website doesnt even let me do it
Better if he can provide more info, and submitting a support ticket is so much better.
643  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Top 9 Campaign Managers of 2024..... on: April 30, 2024, 09:49:34 PM
I didn't want to rank anyone here, I just listed the beauty of the view.
Then better to list them in alphabetical order, or most experienced by years, or least experience or anything as long its in order because it matters in others pov.

...
That doesn't seem answer my question

The assumption that there are more males in this forum male people assume everyone here is male. Besides,  most of the females have identified themselves as one and I have not seen any of the listed members identify themselves as females unless I missed that.
Right? I saw the OP labeled some manager as "she" earlier (seems the op edited it) so i asked where did the OP learn from those genders. Well, some username will give a hint if what are their genders but most are not.
644  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Top 9 Campaign Managers of 2024..... on: April 30, 2024, 11:38:24 AM
I'm curious on how did you find the gender of the managers, or did they mentioned it? It's something i'm not interested knowing, but since you describe them by that, i might just ask as well.

Also, this should be moved to services discussion.
645  Other / Meta / Re: What is the Impact of Accurate Reporting on User Profiles on: April 29, 2024, 04:23:52 PM
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's a chance that you could become a forum moderator if you reported 10,000 post with higher accuracy. For example, let's say our local boards section needs another forum moderator.
Yes, IIRC, and if I'm correct OmegaStarScream is one of the product of this. I just don't know when he became a staff but I caught up with him without having those "Staff" custom name/badge/rank (whatever you call it) then suddenly saw him wearing it. But it probably took lots of reports not just 10k. And that was few years ago already, idk whats the requirements now knowing lots of users have lots of good reports and high report accuracy.
646  Other / Meta / Re: What is the Impact of Accurate Reporting on User Profiles on: April 29, 2024, 10:04:39 AM
I am wondering what happens with this in the long run. For instance, if a user has reported 1000 posts with over 90% accuracy. Is there going to be an automatic positive trust to their profile or what
Nothing, there are users who even have 10,000 reports with more than 90% accuracy but nothing happens. Last time theymos mentioned about this that he might use it to have a police badge or something like that, the community especially the designers make their contribution for the badge. That was years ago already though, and until now there's no update regarding it.

Here's the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4742257.0
647  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: April 28, 2024, 11:37:36 PM
I understand the logic, but I wouldn't be surprised if other major campaigns also decided to switch to stablecoins (due to the unpredictability of BTC fees)
So far the fees now are back in 20 sats/vB range but it go back to the way it used to be like in halving for some time (who knows when).

in which case, either Mitchell would have to change the policy for his Overview thread, or we could need a new summary (perhaps in the Altcoins section) that includes all types of campaigns.
It could be but this thread will not be belong here anymore, well if it's a mixed campaigns (alts and bitcoin list) i guess it's fine but i don't think it will be happening too soon.
648  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Binance nagpahayag ng pag-asa na pwede parin silang mag-operate sa bansa natin on: April 28, 2024, 11:29:04 PM
Good update, since pwede pa naman talaga ma pag usapan yan, depends on their discussion and agreement though. Pero i'll take it as a grain of salt, if hindi nila nagawa dati, lalo na now, but let's give them the benefit of doubt if ever na interested ang Binance dito satin.
649  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: April 28, 2024, 10:47:48 AM
But did you check the website?
Yes, that's why i am able to upload the image and posted here using talkimg, and it can be seen here.

When website is down, it could be your internet connection, your dns settings (which is i encountered before with slow loading to not be able to use the site), or the site is down.

By checking their status page https://talkimg.betteruptime.com/ it looks like the site is facing an issue, so your concern of website uptime is valid.
650  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: April 28, 2024, 09:53:35 AM
@Mate2237 Looks like there's something wrong with the BBCode you used. After reading your post, I tried TalkImg.com and uploading some images and copying the BB codes and everything went smoothly without any problems, including the BBCode.
...As for me you gave wrong information without checking out the complain and you only read my post and check the bbcode and confirmed that all is well when all is not well. You would have done the practical by uploading an image in this your post for everyone to see. Guy, you annoyed me.
Here's what your post looks like with the img tag wrongly placed. You can check how the image looks like by using the "Preview" button. No need to be annoyed, the guy just want to help you.

With the image you want to post, i see there's a width and height on the img tag with URL, you can do this instead.

Code:
[url=URL_HERE][img width=500 height=200]https://www.talkimg.com/images/2024/04/27/rZn2d.jpeg[/img][/url]
651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has Anyone Used This Crypto Recovery Service? on: April 27, 2024, 11:26:25 PM
A scammer gained access to my Cosmostation wallet seed phrase after I visited untrustworthy websites that infected my computer. At least that is what I believe.
Or you input your seed phrase on such website? Unless you downloaded and run that file on your computer, i don't think it's some kind of malware, but yeah better to take it as such and reformat your computer will be the best solution for that.

About the recovery service online, 90% of them are scam, unless they posted on this forum, build up their reputation by experience, and people recommends them, which that mentioned service doesn't have so i will avoid them doing any business.
652  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost Data on: April 27, 2024, 11:17:24 PM
Okay, so included on these are his wallet backups, are those backups not currently in an active wallet now? Better to move it on a new wallet if its still active, or just get a new backup.

On his other stuff, i knew every data in such drives (hard disk, hard drive flash drive) are recoverable. You better use experts or service that do such thing in your area, your friend may start searching or asking now. Although there some service apps available online, which are paid ones but i not guarantee that they can recover all of those data and won't get any copy of the recovered files.
It will always be the case sa lahat ng regulated exchange, lalo na sa local exchanges since need nila sumunod at hawak sila ng SEC at related agencies regarding finance.
Since no'ng naging frequent ang pag re-reverify nila ng mga accounts, di na ako gumamit ng coinsph, mag iilang years na din, aside sa high fees (buy and sell) nila, malfunction sa tuwing ATH at dump trend (although hindi frequent), eh pangit na din yung customer support nila.
654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is United States going against custodial lightning wallets? on: April 27, 2024, 04:06:26 PM
Phoenix wallet was non-custodian the last time I checked. Is that an error of they've made changes to their mode of operation?
It is not noncustodial.
They are non-custodial wallet and open source, their lightning node is also considered as non-custodial.

So before they could be the next target, they just decided to shut it down for their US customers unless it's very clear where they LN wallet will fall, on what category from the United States.
Seems like it, and also precautions to avoid getting sued, get a warrant, and any worst outcome to their service. Which is really absurd decision for the US government for being ignorant of what the lightning technology is.
655  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Can what happened to Samourai Wallet happen to Electrum ? on: April 27, 2024, 02:43:22 PM
Phoenix wallet forced their team to remove their app for US users for the "Lightning" nodes because it is considered as "Money Services Businesses" for their very own terms and reasons. So electrum getting affected to these bans is likely possible i just don't know how they will consider electrum as a "business", but only for US, unless some countries copy this kind of regulation,

Quote from: PhoenixWallet
On May 3rd, 2024, @PhoenixWallet
will be removed from US app stores.

Users from the US should empty their wallet:
- Settings > Close channels (Android)
- Settings > Drain wallet (iOS)

We highly recommend *not force-closing* channels, as on-chain fees could be significant.

656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Investing To Now Taxable Events on: April 26, 2024, 11:59:53 PM
moving any asset/commodity/security to fiat is a taxable event
but now CEX's have to report events, means the taxman has proof of events which you then hav to declare in your own filings

So what happens when you earn some Bitcoin online without buying it and then cash out?
It is still taxable event only if you will declare it to your ITR filing since its you who earned that online. Minus the VAT (tax) you get when cashing out only using a centralized platform (if available), but except when using P2P or decentralized free of charge platform.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can a seed phrase on steel or titanium sheet survive this flood? on: April 26, 2024, 11:46:35 PM
First of all, we always need to backup seed phrases in multiple places. So in the in the case of a lost device or a seeded phrase, we can recover the wallet again.
If it's a disaster like this flood, considering those multiple places is still on your house, it's the same story then. Not unless you put it somewhere else house, bank's safe, or online, these three are somewhat not recommended.
So what you could do is keep it on somewhat fire proof, hard safe like vault that it cannot be moved easily by flood, well, you need a budget for this too.
658  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: UTXOs and Bitcointalks's Signature Campaigns on: April 26, 2024, 11:23:05 PM
Wallet with Coin control and dust control solves all these without breaking a sweat.
I tried searching and you are right, looks like that feature already exists. I found your thread on Nigeria board too, but i can't see any for electrum wallet since i'm currently using it.
659  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: UTXOs and Bitcointalks's Signature Campaigns on: April 26, 2024, 01:44:59 PM
It's not actually that huge, even for 10 weeks of UTXOs. What actually make fees go higher is if you received tons of dust UTXOs. By dust means tons of below 10k sats amount you received. Which will obviously create so much fees by transaction size.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where would you prefer to watch your favorite team? on: April 26, 2024, 11:55:37 AM
I think there's a smoking area in any sports complex but not cigarrettes, by using Vape or E-cigar only, not really sure so correct me if I'm wrong?
Yes, there is, but not in public or inside the complex, there is a designated place/area to that activity. But of course, there are still black sheeps who will not follow, so better to avoid them and call the guards or anyone who is in charge to control these kind of fellas.
