Exchanges should offer a non-inflationary base trade option like UNO.  Why force users to trade all of their coins in highly inflationary cryptocurrencies?

We are probably at the point now where more UNO is lost to dust and carelessness each day than is replaced by mining. Just look at the age of some of those giant wallets on the richlist.

Zpool has a ton of hash right now and currently makes up the majority of the UNO network.

I'm not having any issues with UNO electrum.
The network seems solid. Did I miss something?

Its unlikely that individual's UNO will be returned because Paul Vernon deleted the account database. But perhaps there will be a way for individuals to try and prove a claim.
I have a call with the court people next week, either Mon or Tu. I'll give you an update as soon as I learn anything.

Sad to learn that Coinpayments.net has dropped a number of coins, including UNO.
I look forward to getting them back on TeamUNO at some point.

We did a lot of work to keep those coins away from Paul Vernon.  I hope we get some news soon about the fate of that 15K Uno wallet that we helped to save.
Because Vernon comingled the coins, including Uno, into large wallets, and because the ownership database was destroyed, its not likley that the UNO will be returned directly to the original owners. That would be a shame, after all the work the community did.

I imagine there will probably be a period where people will have a chance to try and prove their ownership of crypto assets, and then the remainder will be auctioned off, or sold to a single large bidder.

Yeah, Cryptopia is a great exchange, horribly moderated. Oh well.  I've seen worse, and they love Uno as much as we do.

If you have any coins on any exchange, you will eventually lose them. It's that simple. F
They will eventually get BTC-e, and Coinbase, and everyone else.  Teenager hackers hired by state actors take their 2 weeks of holiday, get bored, decide to cash in on some of the expensive zero day exploits that their employers have purchased, and that they've used and memorized.  They call it "practice." 
And why the hell not. There is no way to keep them out. The stolen bitcoin will probably be used to fund arms to rebels, or some other such bullshit.

Fuck them all.

There is a big, big shakeout under way.

That last whale that dumped 6000 Uno, and then Gekko's dump of (I don't know...) 4K? has taken out a lot of the buy depth.  Add to that the 15,000 Uno from Cryptsy that might hit the market in August, and the fact that we are in the doldrum month of July, and factor in the rising BTC price, and we find ourselves in a UNO bear market.

July has never been very good to UNO.  Summer outdoor activities occupy the time of us Northern Hemispherians.

Thanks for the rain, Gekko. I'd been eyeing your wall, but I had a hunch it would fall on its own, so... I did nothing.

The only thing holding me back from continuing to aggressively accumulate Uno right now is the fate of that 15K Cryptsy wallet. I promise I will share everything I learn about that wallet here, so you will all have the same chance at it as I do, but I sure would like to get my hands on it. Until that's settled, and unless Bitcoin really gets cheap and my low buy orders for Btc are filled, I can only watch and snag a few on the knife drops.

Instead of dumping Uno, if you need to cash out a position, try setting up some fair sell orders on the UNO markets in Cryptopia.  Thanks to the tradebots there, you may be able to swap out a position into a coin with deeper markets, and vice versa.  Also, don't forget to put some Uno up for sale on the USD market on C-Cex. I would love to see an active UNO/USD market.

So we can wish for these things, or we can work to make them happen. I would absolutely love it if more people would trade UNO against their other favorite alts at Cryptopia. It's such a great opportunity for UNO. If you know any of those other alt markets, go make the UNO pair.


To Developers:

This place where UNO finds itself at this moment... this is nothing new. We have been here before, and worse. UNO's price has recovered. I'm here long term, and I know many other community member who are also long term.  The UNO blockchain is well positioned, fast, strong, plenty of nodes. Everything technically we need is in place. If you're a developer who wants to build on a fast blockchain with low inflation, UNO is it!  Why go private and have to provide all of the costly infrastructure when it's already here with UNO, and transactions are so cheap. Take a stake, release your app, work off UNO. If you need to propose a reasonable fork and if lead deveoper BW agrees it won't wreck things, we'll work with you. We are a workable, long term community. You will find ready stakeholders who will root for your success.

800K+ blocks mined at high hash.... this is a rock hard blockchain that has never been rolled back to bail anyone out. No POS inflation; just a solid record keeping system that has never failed.

Mark, I don't disagree that UNO's price has fallen relative to Bitcoin, but it has long clung to a level of around us$2.  Sometimes more, sometimes less. It has not been the wild ride of Bitcoin, Eth, or the pump-of-the-day, but neither has its value been destroyed like so many other coins.
