1501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet on: May 28, 2015, 09:41:26 PM
Unobtanium has been added to Give-Me-Coins.com merge pool, our 4th confirmed pool!

They are finding blocks...
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/address.dws?uMMpGeLg4t34HHNjHxHQiHvkhWLPsxUBnD.htm

That explains the most recent sustained jump in hash.  Uno is steady at 1.4 to 1.8 phs.
1502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet on: May 28, 2015, 12:03:48 PM
I'd be the last person to know. I assumed the pools were inserting something into the coinbase, since it can contain any arbitrary data.  Do you have any idea how https://blockchain.info/pools  has mmpool pegged at 1% of bitcoin hash?  Do they just grab the published data from your site and divide it out?  Or do they go by who relayed it first?  IP?  I may be under the false assumption that there is a consensus way for pools to self-identify in the blocks they find.
Most bitcoin sites use either an identifier in the coinbase or the address the coin subsidy goes to. For mmpool there is an 'mmpool' in the coinbase of bitcoin but I don't add anything to the aux coins. I'll do that on the next update so it can start being used.

Fairglu replied back about the Chainz explorer extraction report:

"Hi, these are based on tagging mining pools, either by the address they mine to or by coinbase messages.
So the mining pools need to be known and publish some minimal information so they can be tagged.
The information also has to be updated if/when the pools change address. Major pools usually expose that info, or even notify me about it, but usually just for the more "visible" coins."

If you know some pools, let me know their URL and a block they mined and I can tag them!"
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet on: May 28, 2015, 02:00:39 AM
None of the pools identify, so they are all tagged "unknown."
How does one enable the pool to get identified?

mmpool is probably 30% to 40% of Uno's hash right now, if not more.
It varies quite a bit due to rental hash rate on the pool, but currently there are 20 immature blocks out of 100 (when they change to generated). This would put the hash rate at 20% or so for mmpool.

Here's a great extraction chart example for Dash https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/#!extraction
I'll PM Fairglu at Chainz and see if he'll explain how he builds these charts.

What is the status of the security audit? Is it complete yet?
1505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet on: May 28, 2015, 12:29:21 AM
I bought Mr. annoying on cryptsy. I think it should be time for Uno to rise a little.
There is some little resistance around 0.012 left after that the path is pretty cleared up at least to 0.015
Nice. You will be rewarded for that soon.
1506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet on: May 27, 2015, 11:08:43 PM
None of the pools identify, so they are all tagged "unknown."

About all we can do is visit the current known pools and subtract their stated hash from the estimated network hash rate, and make some guesses. Network hashrates are only estimates based on block times, difficulty.  It's not an exact science.

mmpool is probably 30% to 40% of Uno's hash right now, if not more. The other pools,  ispace.co.uk and xpool.ca (if xpool is still with us, they were having some problems) might make up another 20%. 5% might be solo miners or Uno-only pools. I have no knowledge of the other 40-35%.   It's possible that some bitcoin pools have implemented it for their miners, but have not told us yet.  Also quite possible that some bitcoin pools have quietly implemented it and are retaining the earnings to defray pool fees.

Sweet!! Go mmpool! It's their 3rd block in a week. Give these guys a try.
Thanks for the support of the pool, it's been a great week, and I much appreciate it!
.

Lets find another block! There is still time to make it 4 in one week.

I set my goal too low. They already found another block! What a week for mmpool and Uno-loving miners.
mmpool's hash is now up to .82 phs.

Today Uno hit a difficulty of 75 million in block 609473, and is currently at 1.7 phs.
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet on: May 27, 2015, 04:11:15 AM
mmpool is now hashing at 500 ths, more than 1/3 of Uno's total hash.  Success is contagious. Blueman must have signed on. Smiley

You are welcome. Those of us with hash at mmpool are very excited to have tapped into this run of luck.

The Ui is very straight forward, and withdrawals and payments are very fast. We are looking forward to supporting mmpool long term with our hash, and with active Uno markets contributing to your miners overall profitability.

Lets find another block! There is still time to make it 4 in one week.

Thanks for your support of Uno.

Due to mmpool 's choice to support UNO i regret I will no longer be able to mine here.

Coins that have developers who are people who's actions in public border on criminal activity are nothing I can support. Best wishes for future success.
I'm not sure what you are referring to here. Can you provide further information?

Uno has a lot of very good, honest, long time people active in it's community who have worked very hard to make it successful. Bryce is one of 3 developers; some people don't like Bryce. Fine. He did not launch Uno, but he likes it enough to contribute his time.

Uno is an open source project, fairly launched, no-premine, no-instamine, no-hidden blocks, with unique supply characteristics that make it an interesting cryptocurrency experiment. You won't find a more honest coin. As an open source project, and there isn't a personality test for contributing to Uno; if there were, it would be a closed source project.  If Cinnamon Carter is unhappy with the direction Uno is headed, we would honestly welcome her to join in, as she is a talented dev in her own right.

I have my own opinion of Bryce's off field antics. But his work on Unobtanium has been clearly in the right direction, in the best interest of the community, and so we have adopted his client. Hate Bryce if you want to, but there's absolutely no reason to dislike Unobtanium.

Thanks, mmpool, for adding Unobtanium. There are many of us, including myself, who have collectively moved THs's in your direction.
Tonight we are celebrating your 3rd block in a week! The Unobtanium community is very happy to be part of mmpool and to bring you our long term support.

Sweet!! Go mmpool! It's their 3rd block in a week. Give these guys a try.

Lovin' the Uno dust, and also the Btc which I put right back into Uno.

Unobtanium.uno is has a datacenter issue, but should be back shortly.

"We are currently facing an unresolved issue with one of our network switches.

Due to this issue your site is unavailable at this point.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and assume to have it back online within the next 2 hours. "
1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Miners Update to 0.10 on: May 26, 2015, 03:19:35 AM
mmpool found their second btc block in 4 days. Excellent luck!  I'm keeping the merged mining Uno dust. Selling the other mm coins & btc nets me more Uno than I earned prior merge mining, nearly 5x more.

Hash was over 1.5 phs today.  Better than the 20 ths we had before, and room for it to run.
1514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Miners Update to 0.10 on: May 26, 2015, 03:12:19 AM
Bleutrade is good. I like them. There should be more trading there.

I do miss the alternate pairings Bleutrade used to offer. It was cool when they let us build interesting pairs like DASH/UNO, or whatever pair you wanted.  Few people probably did it, but I liked the possibilities it held. That really set Bleu apart from other exchanges.

I'll add a little Btc on the Uno buy side over at Bleu.

Anyway, I'm continuing my 7.5 daily Uno buys, mostly on bittrex. Maybe I can score some at Bleu, but it hasn't been easy the past few weeks.

I like it!

What other coins have you guys found interesting, besides Uno? What's on your radar today?

Name the top 3 coins I should know about, but probably don't.

Ah! Finally relocated the off-topic thread.

Gonna drink TWO bottles of stout tomorrow -- seven years in my faraway farmhouse!

Hey, RitzBitzz! Come and post on the main thread any old time.

Mark (IndiaMikeZulu), Australia

I love stout. Can't wait for the weekend.

I have it on my list to acquire some Unobtanium beer. I'd like to know what that tastes like.
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Miners Update to 0.10 on: May 21, 2015, 04:29:23 PM
$ 550,314

this is BS and we know it.

---
aye ez does it for those who know Cool
Some of this low price is artificial as Cryptsy still hasn't enabled withdrawals; people can't transfer out Uno so they sell it.  I've opened 3 tickets at Cryptsy about it. Last night I reached out to BitJohn to see if he would help.

But you're right -- this price is way too low imo. I'll continue my slow daily 7.5 Uno anti-gravity pump.
1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Developer Announcement. Welcome CaptChadd on: May 20, 2015, 09:06:23 PM
Last week I was talking with Bryce, and he suggested it would be in the long term interest of Unobtanium if the development load could be distributed across additional developers. Since then I have been reaching out and having discussions with different developers who have solid experience and coding skills, educating them on Unobtanium, and trying to help them understand if Uno and it's community have intersecting goals.

I'm very happy today to introduce you today to CaptChadd, a hero member on BCT.  His involvement in cryptocurrency development goes way back to 2011.  He has honed his skills over the years by supporting different crypocurrency projects. He is currently the developer for ExtremeCoin (traded on Bter and Cryptopia).  CaptChadd is setup for development on Windows/Mac/Linux.   I think you'll enjoy having him in the Unoverse.

Please give a big UNO welcome to CaptChadd as a core member of the Unobtanium development team!!  We look forward to working with you CaptChadd, and doing great things with Uno together.
