641  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blackjack.fun ignoring bugs for months + claiming "blackmail" on: March 18, 2020, 03:42:01 PM

The link is not working.
Btw, I too have made a few bets on the site last year around August, but I didn't experience any such bug regarding the hit and stand buttons. Maybe the bug came along later.
642  Local / India / Re: NEW PEOPLE JOINING INDIAN SUB: INTRO AND MERIT on: March 18, 2020, 04:02:56 AM
^^ You'll never know if Venkatesh is his real name  Grin I have two online alias which sounds like a real name.
Anyways it's better to avoid using real names online and stay anonymous.

Hmm. Maybe you are looking at the wrong places. There are still lots of valuable discussions going in the forum.
Maybe you should check - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0 & https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=4.0
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto analyst accused of photoshopping trade screenshots on: March 17, 2020, 05:47:12 PM
Who can you really trust for advice and inspiration!?
None
Trust noone except yourselves. Start learning the basics of trading and then trade with a smaller capital. Keep a note of your trades. Build up your own strategy in trading. Improve yourself and start earning profits.
But if you are blindly following some analyst/trader, you are going to lose more than you earn.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: March 17, 2020, 05:06:29 PM
Eventhough it's a good thing that the Semis and the finals are postponed because of COVID-19 outbreak, it really sucks from a cricketing fan perspective that we have to wait nearly a month to watch the semis and the final.

We will wait for the tournament to resume and I am pretty sure that they will resume once all these pains gone. But by any chance if something like this do not happen then the current point table will be the final table.

I think this is logical ?
Ofcourse, it is.
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does Bitcoin Have Value? on: March 17, 2020, 04:10:28 AM
Moreover, unlike Fiat which is minted out of thin air as the Govt wishes, for mining BTC you need to spend resources (proof of work) thus making it more valuable.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 16, 2020, 12:55:49 PM
Okay this is very interesting LOL
How do anyone know that I am indeed doing the job :-P

To me it seems a very easy record to break. Once I slept over 80 hours with some little break for eating and going to toilet LOL

Generally, you'll have to inform them that you are planning for a record. Once they approve your application, you can carry on with your plan. I think you'll have to inform the media for recording your attempt. Not sure though. Btw, you really serious about this 😅
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: March 15, 2020, 08:09:44 AM
Am I the only one who is making blind bets based on previous win stats and yet getting all the results in Round 4 right  Tongue At this pace, I think I'll win the Pool  Grin

What happened to you @Umeridress, not betting for the past 8 games. @Johnbitco is also not betting nowadays.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from centralized wallets on: March 15, 2020, 07:43:37 AM
There is nothing much to discuss here. It's almost known to all that "Not your keys, not your coins". So it's always advisable to use a noncustodial wallet for holding your funds even if they are relatively small. And even while choosing noncustodial wallets, it's always better to choose open source wallets.
651  Other / Archival / Re: CVirus Token on: March 15, 2020, 07:22:49 AM
If someone thinks that this project is genuine, please note that this is complete bullshit project looking to run away with the money of the donors.

It's sickens me to know that there are some scammers out there creating a token in the name of Corona Virus and trying to exploit and preying on people in serious situations like this.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the market stand this trial on: March 15, 2020, 06:50:24 AM
This is really a big test for crypto, I mean we have been preaching that it is a safe haven, unfortunately the covid-19 scenario proved otherwise as the market crashes to almost or over 50% as you have seen. Crypto is still in its early stage, still infant as compare to other global and traditional market, but even those markets are also affected. So I guess no one is immune, when the economy of the world is at stake, everyone is affected, even crypto market.
Right now it's not, but Bitcoin will be a safe haven. As you said the Crypto Market is in its early stage. Its relatively very small compared to the Forex and Stock Markets. That's the reason the Crypto market is highly volatile. Once the adoption increases in the future, the volatility will be very less compared to the present and Bitcoin will be a safe haven even better than Gold.

To answer OP's question, I'm not sure whether the market will recover within a few days/weeks or its takes a longer duration. But I am 100% certain the crypto market will recover.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 14, 2020, 04:15:38 PM
^^ Lol. You should try. But are you ready to lose 4 days sleep 😜 The current world record is 120 hrs with 10 mins break between each movie.

Me on on the other hand can't stay at home as I'm a Public servant, will most probably wearing masks and going to work, if things get really bad in India. I hope that's not the case.

Edit: New record is 123 hrs and 10 mins. Good luck.
654  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like.. on: March 14, 2020, 02:32:08 AM
Haven't you heard of Market manipulators. Crypto markets can be easily manipulated by big Whales. They just used Corona as an opportunity to crash the market and accumulate more Bitcoin at low prices in the process. When newbs see the Crypto market crash because of Whale's dumping, they link the Crypto market with the global market and start panic sell. In the meantime, Whales accumulate more Bitcoin and push the prices up at a later period of time.
Bitcoin is a not short-term asset, look at it as a long-term.  The future is still bright. Just HODL
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus is ravaging a large portion of cryptocurrencies. Is this permanent? on: March 13, 2020, 08:27:29 PM
As you all may know, Corona is heavily affecting the crypto market, however, do you believe that this is permanent, or will the effects be seen for the next 3, 6, 12 or 18 months?
It's definitely not going to be permanent, but I don't expect the market to pump overnight as it dropped on march 12. I believe that the Crypto market is going to take some to recover back. But maybe be I'm wrong and the market might recover in a week or so. But one thing is for sure, this isn't permanent.

Check this address - https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/3CU4AYJH23ePNnKsycinP5TSogCNGsyqCc

1000 BTC came into this wallet from 9-10 yr old wallets.
Might be the reason for the dump.
Got this info shared in Telegram.

658  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit Abuse on: March 11, 2020, 05:27:41 PM
The problem between you two was here in the beginning: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.msg54004369#msg54004369
I don't think it started there rather here.

I reported the user, ansi for Plagiarized content. Based on the report, he got banned on 10.03.2020. 2 hours later, CryptoManiac2017 wakes up after 3 years of inactivity and makes a post here.

Later ansi pinged me via Telegram and threatened to make my online life miserable lol and a few minutes later CryptoManiac2017 posted this thread.

Conclusion: CryptoManiac2017 is an alt of ansi.

Reporting OP for ban evasion. Let the mods decide  Grin
