I made a snowman this morning.  He's pretty ugly.  It was fun.

Nice snowman there Dooglus.

"The guy" is an entitled little bitch who went on a big tirade on another thread insulting my work because I did not respond to him quick enough after I already stated Im busy.

Anyway enough of that, I have made my disgust @ SDice known and updated the list to reflect their associations and now back to what this thread is for, keeping bitcoin casinos honest.

642  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: arby.pl - free arbitrage calculator for BTC-e on: April 29, 2013, 08:22:29 AM
No cronjobs to refresh it I take it.

Bump - any action OP?

Hi mate, the pc hosting it was restarted recently and I manually kick it over.

I'll bring it back online tonight Smiley
643  Economy / Gambling / Re: memtingale simulator on: April 29, 2013, 07:37:29 AM
We decided to refine on mem's excellent idea and crafted our own simulator. It's now online at http://botdice.com. There are quite a bunch of options to control a more interesting bet progression schedule. Plain Martingale is for dummies Tongue

How flattering Cheesy

Glad people like it.
644  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thanks to BTC & LTC My House is about to be 1/2 paid for on: April 29, 2013, 07:29:14 AM
Congrats, where abouts in Aussie are you? Housing here is soooo expensive!

Out of curiosity, how do you get your money back to AUD as there aren't many AUD brokers here anymore, they all keep getting shut down?

Perth WA, the most isolated shithole capital city in the world Tongue

For amounts under $1000 I always had plenty of friends willing to buy MTGOX/ BTCE codes off me Smiley
For the larger amounts I will be trying both okpay and direct deposit to my AUD bank account which mtgox supports.
To be safe Im doing a 30 (USD)/70 (AUD) split so I have plenty of options available.

Hang on. Interest rates are very low right now. Paying off your mortgage is probably not the best plan with interest rates so low. If bitcoins are your only investment, then perhaps you could sell some to make some less risky investments, instead. It is true that paying off your mortgage early lowers risk, but it is an extreme step when your interest rate is so low.

Im with Keystart if you are familiar with them, the cunts are currently charging higher than what the federal reserve bank advises - basically keystart is turning from a good govt initiative to a money grabbing institution. So I'll be happy to leave them anyway.

That being said, I welcome advice for other investment opportunities, I wouldn't mind owning some silver and gold but I need to research more first.

646  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thanks to BTC & LTC My House is about to be 1/2 paid for on: April 29, 2013, 03:42:21 AM
Congrats fellow Aussie, I am sooooo jealous.

Beers are on me mate after the settlement Cheesy

I discovered BTC in mid 2012 yet still hope to continue this wild ride with similair results over the next few years. What do you think BTCs will rise to in the next 12 months given the EU meltdown?

It really is hard to predict, personally I wouldnt be surprised to see it hit ~$20 or $200 again Tongue
However I do predict the next spike to be incredible, $500-$1000 easily before a crazy correction period again.

Congratulations. And it is smart of you to cash some out instead of trying to get greedy and wait too long.

Thanks Merve and yes, I saw the wild ride up to ~$265 and missed that small window of opportunity due to being busy with renovations that night.
I managed to sell about 50 btc then and rebought after the crash @ $55 Cheesy

The crash  really put things in perspective for me, I realized I had (and would have again) the chance to reduce the biggest debt I will ever have in my life while Im still young and I decided "its time". What really swung the decision was the realization that settling 50-70% of this debt would give me an extra $1500-$2000 a month to spend..... on bitcoins Tongue

I realized Id be quite happy rebuying at any future lows and having the extra available cash Cheesy
647  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thanks to BTC & LTC My House is about to be 1/2 paid for on: April 29, 2013, 03:38:56 AM
Congrats! It is always nice to know about usefulness of btc with some tangible value. Very cool! May be write a story here about how you got introduced to btc and all, and it would be an interesting read.

Good Idea, Im 34% of the way right now, once I hit 100% or close enough I shall write up a decent post covering my little journey.

Its funny to think back, Ive been a fan of bitcoin at least a year longer than I have been an investor, It took a year of watching it before I decided I finally wanted in. I remember watching it crash from $30 and finally deciding to buy in @ ~$5 nearly a year later Smiley

I will still have a reasonable stake in bitcoin after I finish this, one that I would be more comfortable losing Smiley
648  Other / Off-topic / Thanks to BTC & LTC My House is about to be 1/2 paid for on: April 29, 2013, 02:59:41 AM
So only 4 years into a 30 year house loan of ~0.5 million AUD and thanks to buying bitcoins at $5 and lower several years ago (and some well timed buy&sells recently) Im in a position to settle 1/2 the biggest debt I will have in my life.

So Im in a slow process of dumping chunks of btc & ltc on the market with my goal in sight.
Im currently 35% there, which is already enough to make a sizeable difference on my monthly loan repayments Smiley

I was holding out for the magic $1'000'000 but then I realized I wouldnt know what to do with it, my only goal in this life is to build some security for myself and my family which thanks to bitcoin I now can. Should anything happen to me health wise, my Fiancee does not have to worry about where she will be living anymore or if she can afford the bills.

So I will most likely end up selling 1/2 to 1/3rd of my holdings to achieve this, currently im far ahead of schedule and hoping to afford a nice holiday after refinancing the house Smiley

One thing I have come to appreciate from doing this is market depth, when your looking to sell 500-800 btc you soon appreciate it a lot more than when you were trading with 1-10 btc Tongue

*butt crying cos no one respects me*

LOL Smiley

Psst. Mem! Update some stuff burtha! You're getting hated on Sad Always loved this list haha, doesn't deserve this.

Its a free service I do off my own back with minimal reward if any.

Im busy dealing with serious matters in my life currently and I come back to the forum to see racist speech being passionately defended by key members of the bitcoin community and some little fucking KGambler throwing a tantum because I didnt reply to him soon enough.

KGambler - welcome to my ignore list, Im done with entitled demanding bitches like yourself.

Information about bitcoin minefield is wrong. The min bet is 0.001 not ฿0.00000001 .

Fixed, thank you for the notice.
650  Economy / Gambling / Re: mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST on: April 28, 2013, 04:51:28 AM
Hello everyone, sorry for the long absence, Ive been busy with non bitcoin related stuff unfortunately.

Firstly, whats this about a scam ?
I need links etc before I can go forward on this.

Secondly, the list shall be resumed soon - as previously mentioned the manual work of building the tables etc has become a pain so I plan to write a simple script that will take a CSV and spit out the forum code for me Smiley
Its simple enough, I might take a stab at it this weekend and get started.

I hope no one panic sold during the crash Cheesy

Here's a link to one thread about the betsofbitco.in scam:

+1 to the OP for making a noise about this.

Mircea has gone too far with that article, his expressed opinions are that of a sociopathic racist, and completely unacceptable in any kind of civilised society.

I personally completely support the OP's call for a boycott of MPEx.

Agreed.

Well I still think you'd be better spending your time starting a campaign against MPEx over SD.   When you want to chop down a tree you don't start with the branches, you go for the trunk.

Added MPEx to the topic to address this.

quite hilarious you bring up this bit about racism and then post a link to reddit like they're not full of racists, criminals, and pedophiles.

Familiar with Freedom of Speech at all ?

People seem to think racism has no effect on the victims the actual effects are pretty horrifying. http://www.creativespirits.info/aboriginalculture/health/

http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/its-my-fing-country-racist-rant-caught-on-camera-20130412-2hp76.html
This is pretty much the equivalent to what MPEX does.

THANK YOU, Erik is to smart to be fooled by this - i really have my doubts about his character after his defence.

652  Economy / Gambling / Re: I Mem of Mems list Encourage boycotting MPEx & SatoshiDice [RACISM] on: April 28, 2013, 04:46:39 AM
This post shocked me.  Then it saddened me.  Shocked me because I had assumed "mem's gambling list" was all but defunct.  Several posters have told mem that betsofbitco.in recently stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from some of their customers.  At least one provided a link.  Mem eventually showed up, apologized for being so busy lately that he can't keep the list up to date, then said he would need a link to see what this was all about (ignoring that a link had already been given).  I provided a link to the long thread in the Scam Accusation forum, but the thieves at betsofbitco.in are still listed on "mem's gambling list" as a reputable site.  Imagine my shock to learn that gambling sites CAN still be removed from the list.  The list is not in fact defunct.  Why SD should be removed is not at all clear to me, as there doesn't seem to be any reason or logic behind the decision, but it's indisputable that mem is still removing sites he considers somehow unworthy.

Cry me a river then go fuck yourself.

"Busy" = "Busy", I'll check the replies now but higher priorities have had my attention.

If it is/was a screamingly urgent matter email me on mem.namefix@gmail.com
653  Economy / Gambling / Re: I Mem of Mems list Encourage boycotting MPEx & SatoshiDice [RACISM] on: April 28, 2013, 04:40:09 AM
I See the SDice paid for trolls are busy downvoting the hell out of every comment on reddit.
I guess we have Eriks Answer.

Wow Mem, where should I start?

First of all, there are not any "paid trolls" of SatoshiDice. You are simply trying to get a reaction out of people by making such claims. In fact, you are lying, because such people don't exist.

Sure sure Erik.

Now before we delve into your long defense winded of racist speech, Id like to point of your conigitive dissonance on fault by assosciation.

http://blog.bitinstant.com/blog/2012/11/20/the-full-faith-and-credit-of-wikipedia.html

Quote
In other words, Wikipedia doesn’t mind accepting donations backed by a regime that has institutionalized the beheading of women for adultery or “witchcraft,” but it won’t accept Bitcoin, because it’s not backed by such an organization. Stated differently, if the same organization which encourages the stoning of women declared its affinity for Bitcoin, then Wikipedia would gladly add it as a payment option. Fiduciary duty, after all.

Quote
Second, to the more important point of Mircea's post. This issue flared up a couple months ago when some people found that post. Then, like now, there were some people outraged over it.
Understandably.

Quote
I read it back then (not having seen it before)
OK, so we have established that you did not have prior knowledge of this ugly side.

Quote
It is inaccurate and indeed ignorant to label Mircea racist from that post's content. The fact that someone uses the N word doesn't make them racist.
The very fact that someone choses to use the N word in the offensive and derogatory terms does indeed make them a racist.
This is an interesting point you have made though Erik, I feel many many people will disagree, you and I clearly do over this point.

I shall skip the long justification of why you and this person feel it is ok.

Quote
I highly recommend everyone actually read the blog post, for while it's certainly incendiary and I think unnecessarily provocative, it is not the writing of a racist. I've seen racist writings, this is not it.
I advise all that wish to come to their own conclusion do read this as well. I firmly disagree with Erik on this matter and shall be leaving a permanent asterix against SatoshiDice.

Quote
And yet, what really bothers me here is you, Mem. For while the main moral problem with racism is in the "fault by association," I see that you are succumbing to that exact fallacy.
I again point your cognitive dissonance on fault by association citing your wikipedia rant as my example.

Code:
You are associating SatoshiDice, and myself, with "racism" simply because you believe Mircea to be racist.

You are associated, there is no escaping this fact and I chose to boycott what I perceive to be businesses (or businesses represented/run by openly racist individuals) and their associates.

Quote
you know how many real racists there are using Reddit to spout their filth??
Reddit is a fine example of what freedom of speech entails, you yourself have no problem advertising satoshidice on reddit.... hrmmm whats this more hypocrisy ?

Quote
There is REAL racism on Redditp
.
Here I have to correct your obvious ignorance, there is REAL racism everywhere and only a fool would claim otherwise. You live in Dubai to escape American laws, you of all people should be intimately familiar with racism.

Quote
you are fine utilizing that platform for your purpose in order to discredit me for utilizing a platform of one person whom you allege is racist.
I was quite upset when I made that post, feeling sick to my stomach that I may have been inadvertently helping filth promote there ideals, still I stand by reddit as an indeal freedom speech platform.

Quote
Honestly, Mem, it sounds to me like you have deep insecurity about your own thoughts on race.
Uh oh, Dr Erik is going to do some armchair psychology over the internet, I'll skip it stating this - I no longer respect you or your opinions based on your chosen association with and defense of an individual I feel is an repulsive outspoken racist.

Quote
Germany is a great example of an entire nation doing this, for it is actually illegal to speak in favor of Nazism there.
So nice of you to brand a whole country there and very interesting fro, here I suffer hypocrisy myself I dislike the county you inhabit (Dubai) based on is clear racism and ongoing pseudo slavery and horrific treatment of women.
654  Economy / Services / Re: The Million Bitcoin Page (Official) on: April 24, 2013, 08:05:30 AM
Battle of the copycat business ideas. A true race to the bottom.

How is it a copycat business idea exactly? I have pretty much turned the idea 180 degrees while introducing cryptocurrencies and bitcoin gem like concepts, even though I have never even heard of the bitcoin gem before. It is about as much of a copycat of the original The Million Dollar Webpage as bitcoin is a copycat of fiat. Haters gonna hate  Kiss

Haha seriously its safe to ignore MnW, all he does is rip people off and attempt to big note himself.

Speaking of bleemishes on the bitcoin landscape......hello Matthew, nice to see you slink back into bitcointalk.org after the refusing to honor your bet.
Can we expect any more childish tantrums, long winded arrogant posts about you educating idiots (apart from yourself) and threats to take your own life to prove a point ?

Not sure what a bleemish is, but if you're asking have I learned to not troll people when money is involved, then yes. You must not have seen the numerous threads by myself and theymos regarding me paying every better. Check the link in my signature.

Back on topic: what made you think MPEX were business partners?

Still Lying Matthew lol Cheesy
Back on ignore you go, please let me know the next time you have a massive public meltdown and then exit with a massive hissy fit - the last one was fucking hilarious.
656  Economy / Gambling / Re: satoshidice and blockchain congestion on: April 24, 2013, 07:28:23 AM
make sure the amount is greater than the minimum

Its a bit sad  that a company that makes as much money as SatoshiDice keeps bets under min "as a donation".
SatoshiRoulette always refunds under and over bets. Under bets that are below the default tx fee are not refunded automatically but can still be organized on player request.

Can you please tell me more about how much better your site is? I am very interested.  Roll Eyes

Yes please do, firstly can you tell me - do you support or are associated with hate groups ?
This recently became a disqualifier for SDice, I hope you didnt clone that part of the business as well  Tongue
657  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: April 24, 2013, 07:26:40 AM
Erik I welcome you to address your association and business relationship with the racist hate speech organization MPEx.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=186041.0

Warning to all clients of SatoshiDice, if you are not of the Anglo Saxon persuasion you may want to think long and hard before giving satoshidice any of your business.
Their business partner regularly makes speeches like this one: http://polimedia.us/trilema/2012/the-nigger-homeowners-and-other-niggers/

Business partner? What made you think they were business partners? Don't they just basically host an IPO the same as GLBSE would?

Well I still think you'd be better spending your time starting a campaign against MPEx over SD.   When you want to chop down a tree you don't start with the branches, you go for the trunk.

Until SDice decided to use MPEx it was an insignificant little nothing run by an angry racist,  this is why I include SDice (that and they are their biggest customer).

Respectable businesses and Sponsors are known to drop clients, mascots and spokespersons when ugly shit like this rears its head, yet Erik is strangely quiet.
MPEx did not suddenly become a revolting racist after SDice gave them their endorsement, they have been this way the entire time (read his other blog posts if you have the stomach).
