I was in little bit hurry during thread posting because of my wifi router issue. Thanks for your support mate.
You are welcome and it looks good now :-)
6482  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I want to make an AdWords-style website. on: August 29, 2019, 07:40:14 PM
You are asking for a massive ad network. It will have advertisers and publishers. Not to mention that both advertisers and publishers are the visitors. Visitors can be in the same platform or in a different platform or both.

Different platform visitor example: adhitz.com
Same platform visitor example: Facebook and similar social networks.
Both same and different platform visitor example: Google or similar search engine.

You are asking for an ad network with same and different platform visitors. You are asking for the most difficult one but not impossible.

Let's talk about Google.

Advertisers: AdWords
Publishers: AdSense
Visitors: In the google search engine page and AdSense enable websites

Let's emphasis on visitors.
This is the fuel of running an advertising business. Without visitors you will not attract any advertiser which means there will be no publishers. Google did not build up in a day or a year. Google's main product is their search engine, free to use. Every website in the world wants to give them(google) their web data so that they can rank up in their(google) search engine. So, they have visitors.

Visitors bring advertisers and advertisers bring publishers. It's a circle. Once breaks, the entire circle will collapse.

How are you going to have visitors?

Currently, information is the most expensive and the most profitable business in this word.
How are you going to collect the information of possibly every people in the world who use internet? Why will they give you such information? the straight question is - What is your product?

Do you have the answer of my question?
You need a brilliant idea like Facebook or Google.

If you don't then try to create an ad network which will have publishers and advertisers but visitors will be in different platforms. The best example for you will be adhitz.com

I did not want to discourage you but I wanted to give you the taste of the reality. Advertising business is a trillion dollar business. If you can find an idea that will bring you a tiny little percent (may be 0.0000000putasmayasyouwant0001% I am kidding :-P ) from this industry, you will become a billionaire like Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. These people are making billions by selling advertisement.

And do you know the fuel of their business? It's the information we give them without any cost.

Voluntary giving information -> Facebook and Google [the factory] -> Billionaires

I couldn't watch the game, but from the scorecard it looks like Mitchell Starc cleaned up the lower order in very quick time. He took 3 wickets in a single over, to finish with 46/3. I want Australia to go for the 4th test with four pacers (Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood and Siddle), with part time spin from Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith as the slower options.
I was always missing Starc in the last three matches. If Starc were there then may be we would not see Australia to lose the last test. Starc is very good to wrap up the tail enders quickly. It's beyond my imagination that why did the management lost confidence from Starc. I hope to see him in the next Test.
6484  Other / Meta / Re: Spam and plagiarism on: August 29, 2019, 05:06:26 PM
my suggestion to avoiding this, by make 'newbie' can't create a thread except in 'meta' board. i found many newbies creating new thread and doing spam.
Newbies already have several restrictions like: can not post image, can not create a pool (if I am not wrong), 360 seconds of cool down period and few more I can not remember them right now.

If we give too many restrictions then it's very unfair for them. Once a newbie is a Legendary today. There will be spam, scam and every negative things you can think of but there will also be good promising new comers too. We need to embrace them.
6485  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the connection between Seed and Private Key? on: August 29, 2019, 04:59:51 PM
I'm trying to understand what is the connection between them. I have the seed from Electrum wallet, but I don't have private keys. In Sibit, the command line client, I have private keys. How they are related?
You do have. Open the wallet then follow this:

Wallet -> Private keys -> Export

You can export them or you can copy and paste them in a notepad.

Read this:

In summary, a the private key is what lets you access the funds associated with one public address in your wallet. But when you create new public addresses for each new deposit to your wallet for security reasons, it also creates a new private key which means when you backup your wallet, you’ll have to save all these public key - private key pairs. Instead if your wallet is Deterministic, you could simply use the seed words to restore your wallet. Seed words can be used to programatically generate all the public key - private key pairs you own.
6486  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Trouble Receiving Coin on: August 29, 2019, 04:52:55 PM
Hello!

I recently purchased .082 btc from a friend, he sent it to my electrum wallet (I used a desktop one because my coinbase was having issues) from coinbase. He sent the transaction about an hour ago to this address bc1qpk6enpzm8am56xudkyjnw4086egk848chrg5g8. He sent me a screenshot of the transaction to the address and it says it has 3395 confirmations and that it's complete, but nothing shows up in my wallet. I downloaded the MacOS version 3.88 (I believe) from electrum.org
I looked up the address on several sites and nothing showed up to the address. I'm very confused

Please help!
Here: https://chain.so/address/BTC/bc1qpk6enpzm8am56xudkyjnw4086egk848chrg5g8
The address is empty which means your friend is not telling the truth.

Quote
it says it has 3395 confirmations
Broadcasted an hour ago is not going to have that many confirmations. He edited the screenshot and gave it to you.

Blockchain is an open ledger. Any transaction is going to stay forever here. There are no need to have a screenshot as a proof. You can ask your friend to give you a TX number. I bet he can not.

Okay I would like to go for a 2 fold since India vs WI is starting from tomorrow, less than 24 hours left.

India vs West Indies: India
England vs Australia: Australia

Odd @ 3.41

I am considering Smith is going to play.

Interestingly the bookies are favoring England. They may have a chance but I do not think it's much than Australia. The last Test was in their (Australia's) grip all the time except Stokes monster innings at the end that changed the result.

Thanks Vishnu.Reang
6488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 29, 2019, 04:27:47 PM
Did he got injured in the match that was going on between him and Londero? The result seems had no effect at all Lol. I could not watch any of the match except Federer vs Dzumhur yesterday. He was down in first set but then he won rest of the sets and won the match easily. Federer was Federer. People were started to think that we were going to see another upset but it did not happen :-)

I was waiting to see Dellien vs Medvedev match but for the rain delay it was postponed to today. Looking forward to see the match. I am yet to see a match of Medvedev. Lately hearing a lot of good things about this youngster.

Wow, LFC watching the cricket? Looks like that final of the World Cup succeeded in bringing new people close to the sport! Grin
Thanks to Stokes :-P

Does anyone know if Smith is going to be in the 11 for the 4th Test? I need to do a multibet but before I do, I need to know Smith is there. If Smith is playing then Australia is going to win easily.
6492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 28, 2019, 05:46:03 PM
Federer vs Dzumhur has started. I am watching this. However I am waiting to see the match between Dellien vs Medvedev. I need to see how this young kid plays. Since, I am hearing very positive news about him lately.

That being said I still feel he has not reached a level where he can beat Nadal or Djokovic in the match where you need to win 3 sets.
Okay this is something to have in mind. Both Nadal, Djokovic and also Federer has experience as an advantage for them.
6493  Other / Meta / Re: Being I am generous by nature, I want to give merits on: August 28, 2019, 03:24:16 PM

Thanks man. I am actually aware of that, just a bit drunk (and lazy) at the moment (while working at home but not much to do today). My initial request was 100% genuine though, not lying about my intention to spread merits to the bitcointalk world.  Thanks again for the replies dear community.  Smiley
I did not question about the authenticity bud. You are good and I understand the humor you wanted to create in the original post. I wanted to keep it that way :-)

Edit: Ah! you are the guy who I was having conversation in the Tennis thread.

Im using Localbitcoins for long time and never had any problems.
Yes you are right. Slovenia is one of the most friendly country for crypto.
Im also mining at home and it doesnt cost me alot for electricity and internet connection.
Is it? I may lend a hand of friendship to you and move there in future :-P
(joking)

By the way, you have luck bud being in such country. There are a lot of people who struggles because they do not have legal permission to use crypto. I hope someday all those country lift their restrictions.

4th Test is 4th - 8th September so still a while for players to recover from that epic 3rd Test. AUS can guarantee that they keep the Ashes if they win so ENG are going to have to be really up for it again.
Aham! LFC_Bitcoin!! Hey bud good to see you here :-)

Just a side note: We are not talking against England :-P We are talking about the sports - cricket.

Edit: Forgot to welcome you in this small community. Welcome bud, good to see your post here.
6497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 28, 2019, 03:01:40 PM
It was nightmare for Murli, in field players were literally cursing him " Black Cunt" and few spectators joined as well in this shit when they walked out. i don't remember who was the Umpire but i remember watching interviews of some Australian legends and according to them Umpire's call was purely inspired with his own prejudice.

Australian umpire Ross Emerson. Is this what you are talking about? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8z_9fI3q2M

This is why I mentioned that Stokes is one of the best at the moment, but there are so many epic cricketers like him currently like Steve Smith and Virat Kohli who are leagues away from in comparison.
Correct, no doubt Stokes is one of the best of this modern cricket but telling him all time best is very wrong.

Quote
Stokes still has a long way to go to establish himself as a legend in the world of Cricket, but he is getting there step by step. He is providing terrific entertainment value currently though he still needs to be more consistent.
Stokes has better future awaiting and if he continue like this then some day in the future we may tell him one of the all timer but surely not yet.

Okay I see the fans for their own country (Little Mouse and JSRAW) are in battle :-P

To be honest, umpires can make mistakes and we need to accept it but when things are obvious that these are not mistakes then it turns out bad and it's corruption. The Australia vs India series is a very good example of corruption.

Also the hassle they gave Muthia Muralidharan about his bowling action was also corruption.
6500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 28, 2019, 02:21:40 PM
And if you really want to dig some Spicy content then look at India vs Australia 2008 series. Umpiring was pure Gold for both sides Cheesy

Isn't it the series in Australia? India then refused to play the next test or something if they do not change the umpires and they had to change them. This was an embarrassment for World cricket.

Edit: Yeah, I was right: https://youtu.be/92zqspN3W2c

Talking about Sachin vs Steve Bucknor? Here is one :-P
