6501  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to Bitcoin - What am I missing? on: August 14, 2019, 04:51:28 PM
Finally having some first experiences with Bitcoin, seems very disappointing.

The fees are very high, and it is very slow. This makes it very impractical for a lot of uses. What am I missing?
You are missing nothing since you are not looking for anything specific.

My suggestion: Spend time on the forum, read the contents in Bitcoin Technical Support, Development & Technical Discussion, Beginners & Help.

You will learn as you go.

Welcome to the community.

The whole day washed away. Even the toss did not happen. So if they can start the match tomorrow then this will be a 4 day Test match. May be we will be looking forward to a draw Test. Good for Australia but not for England. Australia already have 1 - 0 lead of the series.

Run rate is not a matter if the players not going to complete their 50 overs.WI looks like playing the same so India will target for more wickets now where the WI lacks to hold the game most of the time.
WI is still going strong. Now Hetmyer and Hope is set in the pitch. I suspect WI is aiming for 350+ runs. And they can achieve it easily if Indian bowler do not ball cleverly. This match is still interesting and looking very good for WI.

By the way, by any chance if WI wins then a lot of people will lose money today. :-(

Edit: Rain delay LOL
6505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 14, 2019, 02:58:48 PM
Well both openers are gone however the run rate is 9.63. Now it's time for India. Let's see how they hold the nerve.

Edit: They nearly got Hetmyer. But the ball was in no man's land.
6506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 14, 2019, 02:30:47 PM
8 over 79 runs, run rate 9.87!

WI did not lose any wicket till now. Master blaster Gayle is scoring like it's a tennis ball. Lewis is going extra mile and he is even more aggressive than Gayle. It will be interesting to see how India is going to handle this match.

Edit: 84 for none.
6507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have 2000$ USD. Where you invest? on: August 13, 2019, 07:39:30 PM

6508  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: user ZONETERROR probably trying to steal my account on: August 13, 2019, 07:30:13 PM
Well obviously it was a phishing attack.

There are ways that hackers want to steal anyone's account and this is the most popular one I think. Good thing that you were aware about it.

Report the pm you received as a phishing attempt, i'm sure mods will ban zoneterror.
It's a ban worthy offense so yeah that user will get banned.

Edit: For the time being I have tagged them.

Have we all forgot about Sri Lanka vs New Zealand test series? Two test series. We will see how Sri Lanka challenge the world cup finalist.

How the first three days were dominated by England ?
England dominated the first few hours of the first test when they took 8 wicket very quickly. And then the test was uncertain till the end of the third day. Everyone was expecting England will take few wickets in the 1st season of the 4th day but it was an excellent session for Australia and that was when the test turned to Australian's favor.
6510  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] The Official Troll Poll - voting has begun! on: August 13, 2019, 10:53:45 AM
My vote gone for game-protect and he needs to win this. Give him some honer LOL

Can you make a poll for Arse-licker too?  Cheesy
Very possible but I have no idea about any of them. In fact why would anyone lick others arse :-P
6511  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Biometric BTC wallet? on: August 13, 2019, 10:24:28 AM

Talk about getting robbed "blind"! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Exactly :-P

It would be fairly easy to force you to restore your wallet.
All jokes aside, this was the whole point.

Service section :-)

If accepting Bitcoin: Services
If accepting ALTCOIN: Marketplace (Altcoins)
6513  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Biometric BTC wallet? on: August 13, 2019, 09:53:32 AM
Not sure. But the concept is nice :-D

Imagine a wallet that will ask to scan your retina before broadcasting a transaction :-P

Now, wouldn't it be easier to steal your coins? One only need your retina to rob your coins /s
6514  Other / Meta / Re: If someone pass away, will their Trust feedback still exist permanently ? on: August 13, 2019, 09:50:33 AM
I think these sorts of cases will be very rare, but they will probably work themselves out. As vod said, exclusions can be made for people who are no longer active
Not everyone is going to revise their trust list which we are seeing from Zepher's case.

How about this?
- You must have posted sometime within the last 30 days.
It's one of the criteria of DT1 selection. Theymos can use something like this for someone being in DT2 too. Point is if someone is not active for certain amount of time then despite being in the trust list of DT1, the user will lose their DT2 status.

This way their feedback will not reflect as trusted anymore unless they fill up the criteria again.

Atm everyone speculating about his retirement. As Gayle's fan, It's hard to watch him nowadays because he's playing bad and now he's waiting for Board to kick him out. (JK)

The way I see he could announce his retirement before the 300th match so that he could play last game as the farewell match. He's already became the highest run-scorer for Windies so announcing retirement at this milestone makes sense as well, but it's not an option anymore.
Okay, I must messed up here with his 300th ODI thinking as his last ODI match LOL

Well Gayle really is having bad time since the WC and I think it started sometimes from the last IPL.

Quote
Or maybe he's eyeing for one explosive inning for closure who knows.  Huh
No doubt. May be, he is trying to play some more good innings and then wants to retire from the peak. In fact this is the dream of every player.
6516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are Virgin Bitcoins on: August 13, 2019, 09:20:09 AM
In simple terms, Virgin Bitcoin is a term used to refer to any freshly mined Bitcoin that has not been used for any transaction at all.
Does anyone have a tx of a Virgin Bitcoin? I would love to see it :-D
6517  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Exposed!] binbotpro.com is a SCAM! on: August 13, 2019, 09:15:38 AM
You need to move the topic in the scam accusations board. Here: Scam Accusations
Also use proper formatting which has been described here.
6518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 13, 2019, 09:10:53 AM
He played his 300th ODI which is a big deal and hence there was celebration for that achievement but never heard about his retirement from ODI.
Okay then I think we will need to wait till the next match. I tried looking online but found nothing about it. It really is confusion for me LOL Not sure where I heard that the last match was his last ODI :-P

Am not too sure about this news since he basically reversed his retirement decision recently which is why we can't be too sure about these things. He might still have some fuel left in his tank for a couple more matches.
Yeah it was during the world cup: https://www.bbc.com/sport/cricket/48775479
6519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 13, 2019, 09:05:18 AM
You do remember India defeating Australia by a comfortable margin too, don't you?
Yeah I do and it was expected. India was a better team. India played really well cricket in the whole tournament except in the semi against New Zealand.
They were the first deserved one to have the world cup and 2nd was to be Australia.

Without Roy England betting line up was a mess in the middle of the tournament. I think they had to bring back Roy early to save their WC mission even he was not fit 100%.

Quote
My bet is on England or a draw for the 2nd test match. Australia is heavily dependent on Smith currently and I think they might be in trouble if Smith departs early this time around.
There are concerns in Australia's batting line up however I think they will win. I will go for Austral to win or the worse will be a draw.
6520  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 3.3.8 not connecting since days? on: August 13, 2019, 08:53:05 AM
If you know the address then check the balance in any explorer. If they are there then you are stress free that your coins has not gone anywhere.

Now the 2nd part, I see you have tried possibly everything and you do not have a 2nd laptop too. However try the other things also suggested by the other poster and if you still find yourself in a position that nothing worked then continue here.

I see two possible issue:
1. Something in your system is preventing to connect the server despite trying possibly everything
2. Your internet service provider has an issue.

So, this is what I would do:
1. Uninstall the OS and reinstall it then try Electrum with a fresh OS (make sure you have your wallet files are backed up. The best practice is to have the back up of the seeds)

2. If I still see the problem then I will take my computer to a friend who use internet service from another service provider and check from their internet connection.

One should really work from here.
