England are the winners for the 2019 WC and that's what will be written in the record books. You come here after 20 years and everyone will be saying that 2019 WC was won by England and it will be a history. No one will remember what happened and how England got lucky. That's a fact.
Why 20 years LOL
Ask anyone who won this years cricket world cup?
Everyone will say England :-D

We needed to see a new world cup winner and this time we got it. Yes, the luck favored England but they also played solid cricket to win the cup (notice I did not say the match).

It was totally a bad day for New Zealand in the final despite playing good cricket. If you analyze some of the moments then you will see it was completely luck that made England the world champion.

1. The catch that was stepped in on the boundary rope. (Saved Stokes or match was gone there for England)
2. That extra 4 runs by hitting the bat (Stokes bat)
3. Awarding 6 runs for this (number two) instead of 5 runs.
4. No Kiwi player, no one else complained for it at that moment because no one was aware of this rule

Sometimes I wonder about the luck that was it for England or for Stokes? I imagine him some day to get the Knight award from the queen.

~snip~

For example, Afghanistan has been improving slowly and steadily, but still managed to lose every single match in the World Cup though there were a few close calls.
Same with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Once you are in the competition and you will have a solid management then you are forced to improve.

It's very heart breaking to see Kenya, Zimbabwe teams are disappearing. Kenya is almost gone if I am not wrong, the team Zimbabwe may be following their path too. Team like Netherlands (never knew they play cricket until recently) has beaten Zimbabwe in the recent times. I lost money on them LOL (jokes nothing important). Truth is that when politics involves in a team then they collapse. It happened with these two countries.

Anyway, good to see that team like Netherlands, Qatar, Nepal and some other young teams are coming into the competition. May be in the next 30 to 50 years from now we will see some very different test nations and world cup winners.
6823  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How LBC blocked my 5000$ without any reasons on: July 21, 2019, 06:00:56 PM
LBC should at least help in this.
Reading at the OPs information what I learnt is that LBC is not helping him by giving any information. In fact legally they should not do that. It will be like, I or some random person will go and ask them that I want to know the IP address of xyz user.

I think the solution for this issue will be blocking the both account and send the money back to the transaction it came from once it will be asked. Since OP is asking for the money then give his money back without creating any drama.

I haven't tested it, but I'm pretty sure OP can remove his own posts too by temporarily moving the topic to another board. That's how I remove posts from my threads in Archival.
Ah! if you can do that then it's surely something the smf developers missed to look on. I hope the abusers are not too cleaver like you to use this trick :-P
But thank you for giving up this knowledge :-D
6825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 21, 2019, 05:49:27 PM

During the time of Federer and Nadal it was the prime of their career and the fans of tennis idolized these two players specially almost all the grand slam championship these two protagonist meet at the final, Now that Djokovic is dominated the game tennis fans of these generation will Idolized and support Djokovic for  sure.
Age! It's something you can not escape from. The stamina of a 20 years old and the stamina of 37 years old will have difference. When people gets aged then they relay on experience but still stamina is needed.

Djokovic is 32 and Federer is 37. The number 5 may not seem a very large number but when it's a difference for age and it's after 35 then things are not very easy especially in Tennis where you are constantly moving, jumping, sprinting. Those matches are very long. You can not continue it for 4 to 5 long hours. Tiredness will stop you every moment. Federer is no exception but still he dominates against his young opponents.

Very mere chance in case of me, because I have 4 points of different with them. I must have to lose every match in that case. Well, it's really now going unpredictable and it can be happen as well.
I like your confidence and your score speaks for that :-P

Enjoy your moments :-)

By the way, I am wondering about tomorrows pick between Australia and England. It's not gonna be easy like today, I mean any team can win tomorrow although I am going for Australia.

Someone has been reporting a lot of posts as unsubstantial/one liners recently so you just got caught up in that and a mod obviously agreed with the report if your post was removed.

Okay, it's not some big deal or I am not upset but is this correct way to delete posts just because someone reported it? I see you and Cyrus is the moderator of that section, I will also include mprep and theymos because mprep is another global moderator and theymos is the admin of course. Except you four I do not see anyone else to delete the post from that section.

My question to all four of you:

How is this off topic, irrelevant, redundant?

If you lot delete a post just because someone reported without checking the contents then whoever it is, you are not doing your job properly. You are just coming online, checking the notifications, pressing the delete button not caring for anything else that let's check if this really worth to delete.

A wrong removal of post from a conversation can ruin the meaning of entire conversation.

I hope you lot will give more value of the time the users spend in this forum not just do some irresponsible action just because someone reported it. There a a lot of people who does not have any intention to spam and they are very well aware of the forum rules. For fun, someone can start a quiz to see how well informed some users are about the forum rules.

It's possible a mod is doing some housecleaning in the spammy sections.
Delete spams not genuine posts. If someone is too poor in judgement and not to be able to identify genuine posts and spammy post then they are not fit for the position.
6827  Other / Meta / Re: self moderated threads in services question on: July 20, 2019, 09:12:20 PM
By the way, I am the topic creator and this is a self moderated topic.
Then you can delete any post instantly, except for your own Tongue
Yeah, that's what I was trying to explain everyone here LOL

No one including the topic starter can not delete their own post in 24 hours but only the starter can delete others post any time they want.
6828  Other / Meta / Re: self moderated threads in services question on: July 20, 2019, 09:09:35 PM
The poster can't but the creator can. My reply on Livecoin's signature thread with 4merits got deleted in less than 24hours the reason why that is possible most be as LoyceV stated.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5162305.msg51893068#msg51893068

Wanted to delete this post and got this message:

By the way, I am the topic creator and this is a self moderated topic.

This restriction stopped the bump spam: bots that posted every few minutes, then deleted their post again.

If I am correct then it was done to stop bumping abuse.
Glad I was right :-P

Are you sure about it that he did not make any announcement about his retirement ? In the fist Semi final of the WC,  when Dhoni was run out, i clearly heard the commentator saying that this is the last time we see Dhoni on the match.  Huh

Even i have found the commentary from the cricinfo where the commentator saying that "Dhoni is run out for the last time"

Quote
saying that this is the last time we see Dhoni on the match.  Huh
He meant it for World cup not other ODI matches.

This is quite possible that he would like to retire in India by playing for India in India itself . This will give him a good platform to retire in front of his own country people and bid adieu to the cricket. That may be the reason he might have just not announced the retirement yet.
This is a good theory. May be you are right however I would like to see him to play as long as he wants. Dhoni is a brand for Indian cricket and his existence gives the team extra boost. Everyone knows when Dhoni is in the pitch India will not lose the match.
6830  Other / Meta / Re: self moderated threads in services question on: July 20, 2019, 08:45:13 PM
Why users can't delete their posts posted in threads in services if it didn't pass 24 hours but user who created self moderated thread can?

Both the topic creator and poster (other user) can not delete a post before 24 hours in services section. If I am correct then it was done to stop bumping abuse.
6831  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspecias membership buying trap with old pay first trick? on: July 20, 2019, 03:15:20 PM
Isn't this "pay 0.01, get 0.02" a one-time promotion for only one user, which was taken by a Staff member already? It might just be a (failed/naive) promotion from someone, and isn't necessarily a scammer running a "Bitcoin doubler" ponzi. I have my doubts here, and even though it's usually scammers who come up with this, I can imagine a honest clueless Newbie can think this is a good idea to promote his website.
If this is the case then I am happy however I can not read someones mind. If I find out that  I have proven wrong then as I said earlier, I will apology. But till now I do not see any reason for me not to bring this to the forum members attention.

If you want the offer, first apologize in a reply for accusing us of scamming and then you can take us up on the offer if you want.
Sorry bud, no apology yet since I still suspect that you possibly have this intention to scam others. If I am proven wrong then may be you will get it, I will not have any issue to say sorry then.

Now that you pointed it out, it does not sound like a vouch at all. However malevolent is .01 BTC richer.
LOL he is and I lost my chance because I spoke up :-P

*** Update: Offer not valid for existing VIP members or Royse777 (unless he apologizes) since he has such a loose mouth.

Honestly speaking I have no intention to make his business look bad but this is truly unacceptable. If itcoinbay does not change his marketing method, he will most probably lose business from here. It's not helping him.
6833  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspecias membership buying trap with old pay first trick? on: July 20, 2019, 02:55:39 PM
Glad you did. I was wondering why no one is paying any attention to this case. We have seen in various occasions people to get scammed in this kind of offers.
I read the thread further, and I see a vouch from a staff member.  Now I am thinking that I may have been quick on the draw here.
It's rarely a vouch. You may read this:
I did not approach him with the offer. The offer was available for everyone to take, and seeing no one was taking it I took it, thus far it only speaks of OP that he's willing to send free money. It's not a review when I haven't even bought or listed anything on his site yet.

I have also criticized his site, his business model, and pretty much called him a scammer in the other thead (as other users did, too). I told him trust takes time to build, as most users prudently take the caveat emptor maxim to their hearts.

This does not sound vouch to me at all. Does it?
6834  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspecias membership buying trap with old pay first trick? on: July 20, 2019, 02:50:58 PM
since the OP changed the title of his thread, I noticed my post was off topic so I moved it here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5153445.msg51889576#msg51889576

Sorry you had to move that. I left a response in you post however I hope LoyceV don't delete it :-P

Seems like a dubious offer. I will support your flag.

6835  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request support for Flags here! on: July 20, 2019, 02:47:28 PM
However, another member just pointed out that the scammer is breaking the rules. So the thread is likely to get deleted... Am I really going to have to open up a scam accusation thread and every petty offense that I come across?

I prefer creating my own thread and this way chances of altering the topic/post contents are less.

The user used referral link so most likely the topic will be deleted if anyone report it.

This format seems very fair. Any team can have a bad day, so does a top team. So if they fail in the Qualifier 1 match then they get another chance in Qualifier 2 match.

If that happened then we might see different team were playing in the final. However we may not see an epic final that never happened in cricket history. Everything has its cause.
6837  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need DT to tag also need flag support. on: July 20, 2019, 02:27:40 PM
I am just curious why there are no support yet. Can anyone please discuss about it?

The guy is asking users to buy membership (pay 0.01BTC) then he will give the users 2x of the BTC they paid. Isn't it suspicious?
6838  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Peer to Peer Bitcoin Auction Site - itcoinBay.com (Special Offer for 1st taker) on: July 20, 2019, 02:20:45 PM

Well reading his response to me above in some posts, I felt like he said malevolent got it so everyone should trust him and purchase the membership paying 0.01 and then he will give 0.02 BTC.

Malevolent took me up on that and as soon as I paid him .02 BTC he sent us back the .01 BTC, so everybody was happy except the guy that suspects us of working toward the long-con...  Lips sealed

I am glad that you came up and gave the clarification.

A side note, seems like he was pissed when I started to talk hard but in your case he offered you the payment first. Possibly it's because he know you are a staff and possibly in the DT network. He knows he can use it to sell his idea or perhaps scam people.

If you want the offer, first apologize in a reply for accusing us of scamming and then you can take us up on the offer if you want.

No I'm not watching this T20 blast as I don't get these matches here to watch. I am interested in the up coming T20 World Cup qualifier matches to see which team can qualify for the next T20 World Cup. Nepal have been on the improve recently so I'm thinking that they will win and qualify.
I will not wathc the T20 blast too, not a big fan of it however I am interested for the India vs West Indies series. Talking about the T20 world cup, there will be a pool like we had for IPL without any doubt.

The initial draft for the Euro T20 Slam 2019 got completed yesterday and the mainstream media chose not to cover it.
Seems like a new T20 series for the European nations?

Dhoni didn't make any announcement related to retirement yet. He did withdrawal his name from upcoming Windies series, so we are not going to see Dhoni for a couple of month in Blue jersey. There are some chances of his announcement when South Africa- Bangladesh visiting India later this year.
Give him some rest LOL
I mean seriously, he needs some rest. You can not just go against your age all the time.
6840  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How LBC blocked my 5000$ without any reasons on: July 20, 2019, 01:13:30 PM
It's sickening how LBC is acting so scummy these days! You should not be asking them for details about the other person but your own money. Just tell them assuming your accusation is true and I suffered identity theft, just send the bitcoins back to whichever wallet it come from? That's not very hard to do.

Sue LBC to your local authorities.

I do not understand why this is so hard for these exchanges or gambling sites. We see scam accusations topic almost regularly and the common issue is multi account/ same ip this kind of things.

When this happens, I see the best practice is to send the money back to the address it came from.
