Gays! Guys! Are you watching the third ODI between Sri Lanka va Bangladesh? Sri Lanka had a very slow start compering with the last two ODIs. May be Bangladesh have a chance to win this last ODI and show that they are not gone.

Without Shakib and with the low performance from Tamim and Mahmudullah, Bangladesh seems a broken team.

By the way, do we have a chance to see Tamim is playing in lower order today?
6702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me to understand bitcoin mixing on: July 31, 2019, 09:43:06 AM
That's the thing about taint. You can't eliminate it, you can only exchange it for someone else's. This is why there is a market for "virgin" bitcoins.
Okay this "virgin bitcoins" thing is new for me. I like the name :-P

I'm operating under the assumption that mixing algorithms not broken today might be broken in the future. This could be used retroactively to de-anonymize transactions.
Since you can not hide from an open ledger, today or tomorrow the algorithms will be broken which leads me this question that will we see someday that mixers are gone/useless?

Word of caution:
Chatting on the Italian Telegram channel with some representative from a well known Bitcoin Exchange, he told us they usually track back funds coming into their exchange a "few steps back" and they flag them if such funds appear to come from mixing/coinjoin addresses.

They have quite sophisticated algorithm to do so, and didn't disclose what "a few step backs" means (in term of hops/time between transactions or a mix of the two). Also didn't disclose exactely how they recognise those kind of transactions, even if some kind of approach based on number of input(outputs can be an easy guess).

For the moment those flags bear no action (most of times), but regulators want every exchange to be technologically ready to act in case any rule would be enacted.

Not sure if this is a good or bad news for users but it surely is a good step from the exchanges. They are protecting their business.
6703  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign has changed on: July 31, 2019, 09:35:55 AM
Before the application process was first come first serve, even that's gone. That used to give many people an edge even if they were not "good quality" posters.
This first come first serve was a crazy one. The moment the BM posted the topic we would see users were reserving posts and filling up the pages quickly. It was frustrating for participants of yahoo's campaign (this is what I experienced, not sure about you all), you wake up in the morning and see all the spots are taken before you to apply :-P

Since the merit system introduced we are seeing managers are now focusing to find quality posters and this indeed is helping the forum environment.

I think this is a service discussion post, because we are talking about a popular service (signature campaigns). A beginners version of this would be if this was a guide on how to get into signature campaigns.

Sorry I missed that. You are right.

I sent you a copy of it in messages on here. Please let me know if you got it. Thank you
Yeah I got it yesterday and gave a quick scan. I am trying to understand the whole thing but I may need to exchange few PMs with you to get the clear idea. I will PM you later today sometimes.

But wanted to the world to know about these SCAMMERS! Angry
Thanks for bringing it in here or I personally would not know about it. Again sorry to hear your lose. Hope it was not much for you.
6706  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Mirae create Scam Accusations without any proofs, not provide proofs of scam on: July 30, 2019, 01:33:05 PM
Deposit not require now.
Good to hear that.

Quote
Deposit was required for security reason, because every player get 1$ free for balance.
 Now this promo canceled.
Can you elaborate the security issue here? People will pay using Bitcoin and you will also pay back using Bitcoin, right?

Anyway, I will observe your moves for a long period before removing the tag I have for you.
6707  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OraSaifu’s High-End Multi-crypto Hardware Wallet SCAM on: July 30, 2019, 01:19:57 PM
I was just reading some comments on this page: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/orasaifu-first-all-in-one-smart-wallet#/comments

It is not looking good.

This is what I know about how indiegogo works: They release the money to the fundraisers at some stage (may be once the goal is reached). Have they (indiegogo) released the funds to orasaifu?

If yes then everything depends on orasaifu moves but if the funds were not released then indiegogo can do something about it, if I am not wrong.

I believe PAYPAL only covers you for 180 days

Yes they do, but it's not that black and white. Paypal really is a deepshit.

Indiegogo did nothing either.
May be try writing to Indiegogo and see their response. I mean every move helps you to get information.
6708  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OraSaifu’s High-End Multi-crypto Hardware Wallet SCAM on: July 30, 2019, 01:13:13 PM
This one was sent on February 26th and since then there are no communication? If they have not updated anything else in between then surely you lost your money. Sorry to hear you lose. But if there are anymore contact or any consistence update then may be they are really struggling with the payment gateway. I know from my experience that Paypal really sucks. I have lost money because of them in several occasions.
6709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 30, 2019, 12:42:03 PM
So we have one day left to start the ICC World Test Championship. England is hosting the test between them and Australia and then we will see Sri Lanka vs New Zealand series which will be hosted by Sri Lanka. After that we have West Indies vs India host nation is possibly West Indies.

This will be interesting. The team forms will not be the same in the two long year period of time.

For example West Indies vs India. Anyone can bet that India will win but India in recent time and India after one year may not be the same. May be after one and half year we will see a different West Indies and result will start to change.

Same can be said about Sri Lanka vs New Zealand. The current New Zealand team looks very good but after a year or a year and half may be we will not see a better New Zealand team than Sri Lanka.

6711  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Updating from Electrum 3.3.6 to 3.3.8 on: July 30, 2019, 11:51:12 AM
Does it matter and can I download either one to perform the update?
It does not matter. If you are downloading then it's already an undated one.

All you need to do is, uninstall the previous one (Make sure you have the wallet.dat files files in the wallet folder are saved in a different drive or you have the seeds saved somewhere else so that you can restore the wallets) and install (Windows Installer) the updated one. If you are planning to download Standalone Executable one then just move it to a drive instead of keeping it on the download folder and create a shortcut in your desktop then run it from there every time.

Not the first time people have to tell you this: Electrum does NOT (NOT NOT NOT) use wallet.dat files! Stop telling this to people... Electrum uses default_wallet without extention for the default wallet file.
Thank you. I fixed that. And I remember some days/weeks ago I used have a conversation about it with someone. I guess it was you?

Note: Seems like now I will have it in mind. In fact I feel like it has engraved in my mind now after reading this:

Electrum does NOT (NOT NOT NOT)

They have scammed me in this case.

Please beware of cloudbet.
I got your PM and responding here instead of writing you in PM.

I will PM Ronnie to response you here. I noticed he was online yesterday but not sure why did not he respond here. May be he missed it.

Edit: PM sent. I hope he will address it here and will give you an answer.
6713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me to understand bitcoin mixing on: July 30, 2019, 11:37:24 AM
Mixers don’t store logs (or at least don’t claim to). So you’re the only one that know the origin and final destination of the funds.
I would say some do. Bestmixer was a mixing service that was shut down by the authority and they claimed that they have all the customers data and stuffs.

Quote
If you just use an exchange, they know and 100% save (and will even provide to any government that asks) everything from the input and output of your “mixing”. IPs, KYC (if any), addresses that deposited and withdrawals. It is WAY worst than just sending Address A —> Address B, because you are putting a middleware that actually tracks you.
I never said that I will send the coin to an exchange registered using my ID.

This is what happened with the test I did with the mixing service. I sent them my coins. They already had their coins withdrawn (say to address x) from the exchanges (Binance, Poloniex), they send me the coins from address x to my given address. In this process they make some money from the fees they charge.

The trace was broken from my coins but now I have new trace with the user who sent the coins from the exchange to address x. I do not know who is the user but those exchanges will think that I am that user but originally I am someone else.

Here is a risk: If this user has some shady record then my coins are now carrying that bad reputation.

This is my understanding.
6714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 30, 2019, 11:15:23 AM
T-20 is not real cricket
If T20 is not real cricket (which is not of-course) then how are we going to label T-10 and T-6 if they ever play it internationally. May be we will not see cricket then, we will see baseball or this kind (I don't know how they play baseball but seen them to hit the ball hard and run LOL, the ball don't even need to pitch :-P)

They can also kick out the bowlers. Instead they program those bowling matching with different variation and ask the batsman to hit.
They can also kick out batsman too. Create some kind of robotic hand and assemble it in the pitch. Set the bowling machine on the other side and let the robotic hand to play the balls. Better performed machine will win :-P

Seriously we need to promote Test cricket and ODI instead of T20 and other format.

6716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me to understand bitcoin mixing on: July 30, 2019, 10:57:21 AM
It breaks the connection between the address 1 (input) and the address 2 (output). It’s as simple as that.

If you use an address that is known as yours to buy groceries, everyone can see that you are the one that sent it and to who you sent it.

Without a mixer:

Address A —> Address B.

With a mixer:

Address A —> Mixer A.
Mixer B —> Address B.

Now there is no easy way for someone to know where your address A coins went to, since you sent them to a mixer which address may or not be known, and another random address from the mixer (B) sent to Address B.

I hope you understand this.
Yeah I know this:
A -> Mixer
Mixer -> B

I was taking about any magic behind the mixing process. If this is very easy like sending the coins in an exchange or gambling site and then send the coins to point B then why would anyone bother to use a mixing service and pay extra fees. The one I was testing took 5% fees with a 0.00015BTC flat fee.

This also concerns the point bones261 bought on the table.

An authority could issue a subpoena to both poloniex and binance to get the mixer's account activity with them both and may be able to link your transactions that way. However, if they were after you in particular, it would probably be easier for them to confiscate your personal electronic devices, and gather what is going on from there.

Obviously. Mixers aren’t magical websites.
This is what I was looking for. So someone (even you and me like average joe) receive the coins and then they send some coins to an temporary address1 from an exchange, then temporary address2 and if require do some more complexity before to send the coins to the final destination.

I really do not see the use a mixing service. I can do it by my own (if this is mixing) :-P
6717  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED]Do not miss the chance to get a reward for testing new mode of [banned mixer] on: July 29, 2019, 08:50:42 PM
I ignored to read any feedback left from all users above

The whole process took less than three hours which is way faster than the deadline of maximum six hours. The payment for destination address came first. After around an hour I have received the rest of the amount in the change address. The Precise Payment is very useful if someone wants to send an amount anonymous to any service.

There are some issues I have spotted and if those are taken care of then we will see better user experience.

Some suggestion to improve user experience:
#
We will transfer <MY GIVEN AMOUNT> BTC in one or multiple transactions

A user will expect exact amount to the given address in one transaction (The Precise Payment). For example: I want to send a tx to a gambling site. The minimum to send is 0.002BTC for each transaction but if the mixer send less than the minimum amount in one transaction and send the rest using another transaction then I will face issue with the gambling site.

# The result page (result&mix=amount&address=) need to have real time data. It was showing "awaiting confirmation" even though my coins had 5 confirmation.

# The Exact Value & Fee Calculator (in the same page) is working only for 5 decimal number (with a large number it worked until 6 decimal number). Instead of 5 (6) decimal number, wouldn't it be nice to consider 8 decimal?

- Would not it be more useful if we have the Exact Value & Fee Calculator section in both mix page (mix=amount) and result page (result&mix=amount&address=)? Users might want to see how much they will get for the amount they were about to send. Depending on the outcome they can adjust the coin they will send to mix. Some people may want to have a different amount in their change address.

Please have a look on this topic, which I created to find some answers about mixing service.
6718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Help me to understand bitcoin mixing on: July 29, 2019, 08:46:32 PM
This thing goes over my head every time. We know blockchain is an open ledger, so even though people like to think it's anonymous but in reality it not. If anyone knows your address then they can trace the coins. So, we have these mixing services who help to lose the trace of the coins.

Earlier today I was using a mixing service to serve a purpose. After sending the coins they sent me the desired amount in two transactions. I was interested to see the trace of the incoming transaction then I found:

In the 2nd stage of first payment is connected to this address: 1NDyJtNTjmwk5xPNhjgAMu4HDHigtobu1s

We all know this is a verified Binance address: https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-vs-mcafee-hack-rumors-refuted-cryptocurrency-trading-resumed

In the 2nd stage of 2nd payment is connected to this address: 17A16QmavnUfCW11DAApiJxp7ARnxN5pGX
And this is an address belongs to Poloniex: https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/Poloniex.com/addresses

I mean here for me, the coins are coming from a different source but since it's coming from the Binance and Poloniex address, Binance and Poloniex has the history. Does it look okay since I paid for the mixing service to be totally anonymous?

My primary question which is how the mixing works?
6719  Other / Meta / Re: History of bitcointalk.org rank system on: July 29, 2019, 07:40:08 PM
~snip~
Do you know if the default values of ranking up were 500, 250 etc? I've hosted SMF forums before, but nothing compared to this forum, obviously. I've only ever done it for testing purposes, and setting them up for others. I can't remember the default values as it was a number of years ago now.
Same here, I have nothing stored in the memory.
6720  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 🔥Best Roulette Method⚡Make Easy Money Safe and Fast⚡ Money Back Refund🔥 on: July 29, 2019, 07:33:11 PM
Yes I did win a lot with low risk. The $.01 got me $2 every 10min or so. That’s with nothing but following a chart. So far I haven’t lost any money as I keep a high bankroll and protect against green. If i play with a bit of strategy along with the chat I can do over $5 every 10min with $.01 bets. If I did $1 bets like you do that’s $200 every 10min with 0 strategy and only a chart. My wins are not nothing at $.01 and I don’t think I should stop at all. Maybe it doesn’t work for you but it works for me. I even said I will give you or ANYONE my Starcraft for free for an honest review. If you wish to not take it and have no new info to say I would like you to stay off my thread. This is the marketplace for gambling and I have the right to sell here even if you don’t agree with the product offered. Thank you
Okay first of all I did not realize that you were the OP when I replied your last message. I also missed the bottom part to read too.
Willing to even let you or another try it out in exchange for a review. Good or bad

I thought you were responding to the example strategy I laid out and when I said to stop it I meant to stop gambling and not to use the strategy I laid out. Anyway, winning $2 every 10 minutes using only $0.01 is insane. I can use a vouch copy to review how it works, I will be brutally honest about my review by the way. You can share me whatever the strategy is.
