The unfinish match resumes and Kiwis has not lose any wicket yet. I think they will score more than 236 runs but plus point is that India will have the full 50 overs in hand to chase whatever run it is.

~snip~ It is a tough spot as rain has played a major role in this tournament and if New Zealand would have played India in the league stages and if India defeated them Pakistan would have being in the semi finals instead of New Zealand and i never understood the DLS method till now and if India have to chase 237 runs and with the wet ground it will be difficult for the batsmen to score easily and it is not a fair situation and there is no other alternative situation to figure out in these situations is a bummer.
WC cricket in rainy season does not look good. This is the first world cup where we have seen most number of matches were washed out but we can not do much. Cricket is a part of a system. England and Walsh could prepare well like having covered the whole ground if the rain comes or picking venue where the chances of rain is less. Anyway, let's hope we see a finished semi which we should see. "The scorer here has just said that the game will start losing overs at least two-and-a-half hours as you have to factor in lunch, too, " updates Nagraj from Old Trafford.

One thing is sure that NZ cannot bat now. Time is running and we are losing the overs now. DLS will come into play and India will get a stiff target ( as compare the original one if it had not been rained). NZ now have a serious chance of performing good in this match. Lets hope we do get play and result today. If the adjusted target for India become 237 in 46 overs then it's a gain for New Zealand. They will get some extra runs and India is losing 4 overs on top of it. If the inning were to continue the India had to chase 237 (say kiwis were able to score in 50 overs) from 300 balls but now they will have 276 balls in hand to chase. Am I doing the correct math here?

India seemed to be in control all the way, but I don't know what will happen now. This is the first time that I have observed rain affecting such a big tournament so drastically. Lets see what happens.
Because of the rain New Zealand is going to get some advantage, if New Zealand didn't bat again in their innings, India's 20-over score would be 148. And their DLS-adjusted target for 46 overs would be 237 If it would be a regular match then Bhomra had two overs left and it would be very hard for New Zealand to score from his overs. DLS also sucks it's no where perfect in my opinion.

Is there any logic behind this part highlighted in Bold font ? Why the hell does the higher ranked team in the league stage advance to the final because a match gets washed out, I'm pretty sure the same would apply to final, yeah ? Indians should just keep hoping every match including reserve days get washed out.
Yeah. the best team wins. This is why leading in the group stage matters and it's the same for everyone. If Aussies were the group leader then they would have this same advantage. By the way, thanks for the reference. I thought the match will start over again from the previous conversation.

I am not clicking the image, not sure really what do you have in there. Feel free to upload it on imgur.com. By the way, I just made a transaction and I paid only 1 sat/byte fees which is not more than $0.02. It's showing 19.92 MB from tip and I am sure this will be confirmed in the next 24 to more or less 48 hours. So not sure what is happening with you.

The highest they will go I think 240?
Maybe more. Taylor is unpredictive. Remember how he destroyed Pakistan once? Probably in 2011 world cup, I can't remind it. He is a set batsman now and can hit bigger. We will see. By the way, the rain is now delaying the match. ~snip~
@OP missed the prediction pool will be joining next time .
Four years in the line however if I am still alive then sure, I will welcome you :-D T-20 World coming next year.as of now enjoy the rain Oh yes, also there will be champions trophy.

5th gone. Taylor seems to be destructive, although the score will not be a big one since only 5 overs left.
The highest they will go I think 240?

Is this another world cup semi final where NZ will lose ? NZ is the only country whom have played WC semi finals most number of times. Why NZ comes to the Semi finals and lose every time. Because every time they come to semi as the weakest team :-P I mean look at how they reach this semi. They were calculatively keep their run rate up than the 5th member of the point table /s ~snip~ I haven't locked my pick yet, I'll be waiting to see which team would bat first before deciding. I'm more leaning towards england here but they always fumble on the biggest occasions I also have not locked my pick. Depending on the toss I may change my margin of winning for Australia.

Picture abhi baki hai mere dost.. Have you guys noticed the change in points of Semi final and final matches? Means, if I lost one match, royse can still got me if he can get a good call with margin. And in final match, it's 3 point which can change the position as well In this match you, me and Harkorede has same pick and same margin LOL So no matter what, we are moving parallel for this match. Tomorrow surely I will have OZ to pick but still not sure where to settle my margin. Good to see the competition in the pool :-D You never know may be someone else overtake us and win the pool. Rajavu and Cloudbet has good chance too.

It's not work like that, if only New Zealand played today upto 50 overs, and because of rain no more play allow. Than India will come to bat tomorrow to chase down the score.
If match reduced to less overs and India inning did not finished before rain washout the day, than we will have fresh start.
Thanks for the information. I was not aware of it. By the way, if we consider this match then surely New Zealand is behind will seek for the reserved day LOL ~snip~ As like as previous matches, Williamson again doing his best to have a great score. Seems like he will go for a big match. Other than him, NZ batsman are not much good.
In this entire WC Kiwis were depending on Kane. Today is no different.

~snip~ I know there is a reserve day for the Semi finals, but if the day is washed out, we will start all over again and maybe tomorrow a better day for NZ. I have no idea about this. It will be too unfair for a team who was doing well in the regular day. India needs Williamson. He is a key wicket.

Indian bowlers are bowling brilliantly and there are no runs for the NZ. Bowlers are taking full advantage of overcast conditions. The lights are ON too. I wonder what is the probability of the rain ? NZ desperately would want the rain to wash out this match. LOL I think there is a reserve day for semi however no one will like to see the rain interrupts in this match. So far India is controlling the match. Kiwis are struggling to score runs. Bumrah and Kumar gave them a good start now it's for Pandya, Jadeja and others to keep the same pace so that they can restrict the Kiwis in less number of runs.
