Why was Starc not selected in the first test match, is it because of any injury if not i am not sure why was that,

He was in perfect shape. It was the team management who decided to give someone else the chance so that they can find a future replacement for Starc. They were almost losing the Test match for that. Good thing that they have come to consciousness.

Jofra might be feeling a lot of pressure as he is debuting in Ashes and with his performance in the shorter version there is a lot of expectation for him to perform as they lost the first test and he just want to take an insurance before he plays in the Ashes  Cheesy.
He is the x-factor of the English team. He will strike with wicket when England will desperately need one. He proved himself in the WC.
6523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 12, 2019, 10:01:58 PM
^Australia also doesn't look as tough as they were last WC. Being the strongest team since years, they should keep up their reputation but they have been in controversies for ball tampering with Steve, Warner being involved. Smith and Warner are assets for the team and when the entire team was failing, Smith got them the runs. They have good bowlers but they still lose matches which actually they should have won. Their second innings is what saved them and made England lose.
Australia had a very bad start in the first innings of the first Test. Thanks to Smith to save the innings and also to save the match. It was beyond my intellectual that why did not they take Starc. If Starc was there then job would have been easier for Australia.

~snip~
I can understand what you are saying here, but I feel like you are under-estimating England a bit too much here. They did beat India, Australia and other big teams in the World Cup quite comfortably if you look back.
I am not denying the good performance of English team in the world cup. They were good but not better than India and Australia. In the group match beating India was okay looking but beating Australia in the semi was just a fluke. Australia had a bad day and England took advantage of it. Then obviously winning the World cup was the biggest fluke. Everything had to go in their favor.

Quote
They have been known to bounce back after losses which is why I am expecting the same in this 2nd test match. A draw is also a possibility.
I will be bored if the Test turns out to be an easy win for any of the team so I will hope we see another good Test like the first one. Archer is going to play possibly, Starc will be playing. We are looking forward to a competitive Test match. Those who has strong nerves they will win of course.

  • Firstly: in case you're not kidding, and you'll actually invest a lot of money, don't go for a desktop wallet! Go for an airgapped setup, properly generated paper wallets or hardware wallets
I would suggest a 2/2 multiSig wallet. Keep both keys in separate places which only OP will know or he can tell those he trust just in case if anything happens to him.

I have seen vulnerability in paper wallets, no complain about hardware wallet though but since it's only the seeds to know, I find it easier to discover than a 2/2 multiSig wallet.

So, I would not mind if someone use desktop wallet but a multiSig address (minimum a 2/2). It's more secure in my opinion.
6525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 12, 2019, 08:17:05 AM
The 2nd test match between Australia and England is starting within 2 days people. This one will be an exciting one in my opinion. England are under heavy pressure since none of their batsmen could perform like Smith did for this team.

I am expecting the reverse this time around. I choose Root and Stokes to score centuries and help England secure a victory here. Lets see what happens.
Nah! I do not expect much from English team. They seems a team who are clueless when pressure is there. The English team was always like this and will be the same.

Winning the WC was just a fluke. If Stokes would not click and if all those decisions were not given in their favor then we would see a different world champion. I will actually blame the two semi final results. India played bad cricket in the first semi and Australia also played the same in their semi. The result was England is the world champion.
6526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 12, 2019, 07:53:57 AM
My eyes are on Test series though. I remember when Windies beat the shit out of the English team in Test, so finger crossed lol.
You really expect something from this WI team? They are not challenging much even in ODI then how come they will play Test match for 5 days? This WI team is so much into T20 mindset that in future we will see the board will ask ICC a special request that to revoke their ODI and Test status.

There was a time WI used to shit out of any team, not just England. The glories are not there anymore.

Pleeeeeease!!
It's surprising how well-documented history can become totally forgotten... Satoshi created the forum on Nov 22, 2009, and was head administrator until almost 2011. Then Sirius was head administrator until 2012, which is when I took over.

Cobra also owns the bitcointalk.org domain name. I consider the forum to be basically owned by or at least dedicated to the Bitcoin community, though; I don't call anyone an owner of the forum.

That wiki article is kind of terrible...
Sorry to quote the whole thing but it was funny. You misjudged the formatting of OP. Here look,

~snip~

In my case, I haven’t because i’m not lucky when it comes to gambling, before I used to play dice, slot machines and card game but the highest amount of bitcoin that I won is only 0.00003400 and that’s like one time, after I won that I bet all thinking I might be lucky but sadly, I just lost it so now I seldom gamble because I realized gambling isn’t for me and when I gamble i’m more into sports betting now and from the Pacman-Thurman fight I won $20.
Seems like you are not a high stake roller however it's good to see that you do not gamble often anymore. I have seen people around me to lose money in gambling including me. It's an addictive fun. You are paying to take stress LOL

Good damn it! I know in every match WI will lose but still I am not placing any single bet in India vs WI series.

At one time West Indies were looking controlling the run chase but then again the rain made the target almost impossible for West Indian batsmen. They just cannot blame the weather, they should have player much better.
I wonder if anyone expected WI to win any match of this series. WI is a T20 team. We have seen their performance in WC, we are seeing their performance in this series. Against a team like India, they do not stand a chance.

What I am hating about this series is, the rain. Whenever I try to tune the tele I see rain LOL

But I'm curious about the deleted profiles. I wasn't aware that it was possible to delete accounts in the early days.
I think SMF has an option to delete profile by user however admin can disable it if they want. I think this was the case.

Nanaimo Gold is among the longest running digital currency exchangers in the world and is the world's first bitcoin exchanger.

6533  Economy / Reputation / Re: Game-protect flag on: August 12, 2019, 12:33:54 AM
Okay guys!
Should I create a flag type 2 against GP?

I need my 5BTC reward and seems like GP scammed it :-P
6534  Economy / Reputation / Re: This game-protect fuck is the best annoying character on: August 12, 2019, 12:31:55 AM
game-protect == scam

Where are the 5BTC ? Tongue
I checked GP's topic history page but seems like the entire topic disappeared! As far as I know a topic owner can not delete a topic which means a mod deleted it?

I was waiting for 5BTC reward :-P
6535  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request support for Flags here! on: August 11, 2019, 11:43:58 PM
Is there a way to change from a "type 1" to a "type 2" flag?  Or have both especially if both are true?
You can not change one type to another.

And I think you can create two types of flag if you want to but not the same (I have a little doubt)

To sum it all up, only #12 - nanaimogold is the only active account up until today. I wonder how much bitcoin he is holding right now.  Tongue
And I doubt it. Check this

If this is the original owner then I guess he does not have much Bitcoin in hold or we would not see him running after useless bounty hunting :-P
6537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won on gambling? on: August 11, 2019, 11:31:49 PM
Now can I ask you, did you ever won a huge amount of money on gambling?
Ah I see you have edited the OP now. Okay my bigger is to win £800 or something from a £20 bet. It was long ago. I was not even aware of Bitcoin.

I won in total 0.5 btc on dice and bought a nice new bathroom from the earnings. So it can be profitable if you stop on time and set a goal.
That's some good win and planned execution. I am glad that you used the winning for something good.

Do you use Martingale technique or there other tricks you use  Shocked
What is this Martingale technique?

Now can I ask you, did you ever won on gambling?
What did you mean by "ever won"? Winning and losing is a part of the gambling game. Perhaps you should ask if anyone is in profit in their gambling career?

Anyway, while winning a losing is the part of the game however if I talk about a season or a tournament then in the last cricket world cup I lost more than 0.1BTC all together and since then I am not gambling. I am considering to take a long break.
