Do you have time to visit Gambling discussion board? There are some members who deserves merit but they do not get attention from merit sources I think. I have that board blocked, but it wasn't always like that--I'm just not a gambler, but I used to read some of the threads in that section and I know there are some decent posts being made. If anyone wants to PM me with links to posts they think are merit-worthy, please feel free to do so because I have plenty of sMerits to give but not enough time or patience to go searching for the gems. I've made this offer before (multiple times), but I barely get any response. I don't consider it begging if you link to a post, because I may or may not merit it and you're not asking for merits for nothing. May I Pm you my posts? I am active in "Cricket related threads". they are not Gems tbh but surely are my best effort in cricketing thread, I am out of sMerit most of the times these days hence I struggle to merit the good posts in the Gambling discussion board. |

The funny thing is that everyone are literally praying for no rain. I seriously cannot understand the rationale behind hosting the World Cup during the rainy season. Seriously dumb if you ask me. Very unfair to many teams.

That wasn't conservative, he started slow because of bumrah and bhuvaneswar were bowling good. Inning was looking bad because he went out after settled very well. If he did made up those dot ball in end of the inning and score big, we all were praising him for his tactics but he got out later so we all blaming him.

Till now I don't see Australia making 300+ runs but if they don't lose any wicket till the 20th over, Pakistan should be under pressure as they don't have great batsmen to chase so many runs (despite them doing so in earlier games but this is Australia). Current RR is 5.5 which is reasonable.
To win this match safely Australia will be heading to 300+ runs no doubt. Considering the current situation if they do not lose quick wickets then they can even go for 350+ runs :-D Have you seen the match between India and Australia. India did score 350 runs even no one thought they will do that. These days even 300+ runs are not safe. Pitches are too much batting friendly also the batsmen are psychologically way ahead than bowlers. |

Weather improved so much, and most probably we will have full match in Taunton.
Australia started very good in match even condition favorable to bowlers, for me Australia will win this match.
8 overs gone and Australia has not lost any wicket yet which means they are well set to increase their run rate. May be they will wait two or three overs and then we will see they are constantly changing sides and when they find a bad ball they will hit it for boundary. Pakistan needs wicket. The pitch is in favor of bowlers for which the score will be lower. However, Aus has a big batting line and anything is possible.
The temperature in Taunton has increased to 16 degree cel and the wind has also been decreased to 13km/h. I guess the chances of raining is being lowered.

I would not say it 90%, would go with 70-80%, have you forgotten what have PAK done with England? AUS is far better than England but that doesn't ascertain thaat they will win.

I guess Virat may come in Dhawan's position and Pant will be in Virat's or KL's but not sure. Dhawan's performance is not consistent but he will be missed definitely. NZ match is crucial.
I am expecting a win against New Zealand and I hope they do. India is a strong team and they are capable of handling any situation. If Kholi goes to open then I do not see any problem. Pant is more of middle or late middle order batsman. |

I am a regular there and very often I see people are making constructive posts but since I always do not have sMerits (currently out of sMerits too) I can not merit them. I am not sure if there are any merit source around there too. Talking about spam like posts, I think it's not only there but in everywhere in the forum but still there are good posters all over the forum who deserves merit. |

Rishabh Pant deserved a place in the initial squad and if it was my choice then I would have picked him over Dinesh Karthik anytime. Anyway, as we say, better late than never. But it needs to be seen whether he will be able to gain a place in the final XI. He is a very entertaining batsman, and I hope that the team management will give him enough chances to showcase his talent.
The only thing lacks in Pant is his irresponsible behavior in the wicket. He gets too excited to hit the balls forgetting the match situation. He can be a good finisher but he does not care that much about it. May be Indian management wanted to give him time to realize his finishing skills. Overall he is a good asset and I would like him to be in the squad. |
