The exchange has been attacked and caused some trades in certain markets - to be honest - has messed up balances in a few accounts.
Please withdraw your coins from the exchange - right away. And do not send any coins here! Any deposits will be rejected!
I am currently processing all ESP withdrawals by hand, they are having loads of tiny inputs and huge outputs, causing "Transaction to large" error. Putting all tiny inputs together, stay tuned, all your ESP will be sent out. I noticed that message too now and checked the amount of coins in the wallet. There are 10200000 GPU coins so they were already deposited completely. Issuer, in order to save these coins, please send me a gpu coin address of yours so I can send them back to you. Otherwise name another exchange you are comfortable with, if there is any. |

Pretty sure that someone can do a good bunch of harm with the knowledge of the steam ID. Well, not my style though but it looks like it is something pretty important for him. Well, there would be ways anyway to make his life unease. What rank is he on CSGO, is he Esea or what I wonder. I play csgo, if you knew his nick or team that'd be something
You might check the first pages of this thread. There were screenshots posted though he changed some things so I don't know if it is possible to find him with that details anymore at all. The nickname (mf-jones) can easily be changed. I know that some people know his steam ID though. I dont see how this can help though, blocking someone on steam is easy and you cant force to be matched in CSGO with someone outside of your friendlist. Not sure what one can do with it though. The profile is private now. It might be harder with a private profile, don't know if it is possible at all but steam has rules regarding what is allowed and what not. Not so sure if it would work, together with the old profiles but it might only be revenge, no real way to move him to give back the coins. |

It's not really possible to get your coins back. Those are pros. They know how to vanish with the coins without traces.
You can't prove anything when they are moved some steps.

Agreed, however there is lots of content on that site that should be kept for future evidence. - It would be great if somebody did a dump of the entire forum. Well that is the problem. The content. It's a well known technique of blackhat internet marketers to steal the content of a website or copy whole websites. Just to get visitors and earn from them. |

Sure, so his immensely rich friend was satoshi even though they invented them both. He died and leaving all the riches to him... convenient in the ways of story telling and monetary gain. Why not pay a small amount to let someone visit him for the start? His living address was not yet checked, right?
It should not cost alot if someone living near him will do that and film the visit silently.
I am ready to pay the amount if it's small. Considering the risk involved, the amount would never be small. What risk? Approaching does not have to b the first step. Maybe simply observe him from afar a bit. He surely has something to protect... his social status or something. Though when I read he plays CS all day then it might be that he lives in his parents flat only... I mean which normal person has that much time to play? |

Generally I'm not so much a friend of normally automated escrow services because in case of moderation it is often too late to speak about precautions that should be taken. Moderation then might not be possible anymore really.
Yeah, all fair points. I think the point of automated escrow is not to replace *not using escrow*. Pretty much every day someone on bustabit complains to me about getting scammed, and while escrow wouldn't help in all cases (e.g. delayed paypal reversals) the main reason people send money directly without using escrow is: * Escrow is too complicated or technical (e.g. multisig) * Escrow is too slow or too much friction (dealing with a person) * No one wants to pay the escrow fee so bithra is (in-my-biased-opinion) a great solution for the above. However, it will never and doesn't try to replace trustless or human-arbitrated escrow. I didn't notice the point that it is free. Which is an advantage for sure since all the other automated escrow sites have fees, as far as I know... |

Na ist eh nicht mehr so viel davon vorhanden wenn man die Schulbildung ansieht. Mal von Privatschulen abgesehen, auch in normalen Schulen... immer teurere Sachen müssen gekauft werden und ob man der Arge erzählen darf dass man für seine Tochte ein Tablett für die Schule kaufen muss und dass das als Lehrmittel erstattet werden müsste... das würde ich erstmal sehen wollen. |

From what I can understand, it allows the buyer to fund an escrow account, and release the escrowed coins to the seller upon receipt of the goods, digital or physical.
The seller can see the funds, so he knows when to deliver the items. He should not deliver if he doesn't see payment.
The buyer then must release the funds to the seller.
Since there is no arbitration, the funds move one way. The buyer can not get back his funds, he can only release it. So the seller should not deliver the goods until he sees the funds in escrow.
Since the funds can only move one way, there are only two possible bad things that can happen:
1. The buyer refuses to release the escrow. The seller doesn't get his money, but the buyer can't get a refund either.
2. The seller refuses to deliver. Same result, buyer can't get back his money.
The seller should never deliver until he sees the escrow, otherwise, that's his fault.
The buyer should release the escrow when he gets his stuff. If he gets a defective item, he should return it. Seller should send a good replacement.
If buyer wants a refund, he will have to release the escrow and hope the seller sends back the payment; or force Ryan to do arbitration.
It is basically doing 90% of the traditional bitcoin escrow's job.
Yeah, sounds like a standard escrow transaction though through a website. Of course it means the website would have to be trusted, the escrow, the website code, hosting and so on. You probably won't ever get your coins back. You might try to google the bitcoin address the coins went to but this is not really much hope. You can try to use walletexplorer.com to check out connections to other addresses and maybe find other addresses of that user.
There is no real bitcoin police. I think there was a chatroom, #bitcoinpolice or so but most probably they can't do anything if they exist at all anymore. Nothing official of course. Only some bitcoiners.
hmmm..... Is there have desire to be cyber police and protect bitcoiner There were some guys that tried to follow the trail of bitcoins to help bitcoiners that got scammed. Though when checking the amount of scams happening then they might have given up. You would have a better chance posting a scam accusation thread and hoping that some of the scam busters on bitcointalk will find a hint. Though the chances are slim. i think if there is cyber police. Bitcoiners will fill good, and they will safety. So not only some people have btc, but all of human have it, and we can do transaction every where withou chance our btc :-) You really should work on your english... otherwise it is hard to understand what you mean. Like I said there was an irc chatroom, something like bitcoin police or so. You might google for it. Though of course they were only private persons. At the moment it would be best to simply open a thread on here to get support. hehe..... I'm sorry, if i make mistake with my vocab, it's very dificult for me  Well, when you want to take part in signature campaigns one day then you need to have a better english writing style... though you would need to take part in the forum some longer time anyway... which would lead to better writing style anyway. |

Is it possible that in the future that the blockchain could be truncated and archived off? For example, are the miners still interested in transactions < block 100,000. If not why keep it on the blockchain indefinitely if it no longer computationally relevant? To cut down the size of the blockchain could it not be truncated at say block 100,000.
It's not possible to completely forget such transactions. Because coins from these transactions would be in different addresses now. Without the knowledge of these old transations you would not know that there are coins in some addresses. Or transactions would even be invalid. |

Ich würde gerne wissen ob es Ärger geben kann wenn ich oft BTC kaufe, über mein Bankkonto.
Momentan beziehe ich ALG2 ~ 300€ , kaufe für Bekannte manchmal BTC ~ 500€, manchmal mehr...
...ich will natürlich nicht angeklagt werden wegen Geldwäsche oder sowas...
...und sicher will ich auch nicht riskieren das mit die Bezüge vom Amt gekürzt oder gestrichen werden...
wer kennt sich aus?
Zum Ersten: Sind deine Bekannten minderjährig? Ansonsten kann/darf/muss inzwischen jeder ein eigenes Konto haben. Wieso also sollten deine Bekannten über dein Konto kaufen und es keine Geldwäsche sein ? Zum Zweiten: Bei hartz4 gilt das Zuflussprinzip. Egal wann du was mit deinem Geld machst und dir keinen Ärger wegen unwirtschaftlichem Verhalten einhandelst: Wenn deine Bekannten dir 500 Euro geben (das muss nicht mal über das Konto sein) und dein Bedarf bei ~300 Euro liegt, dann ist dein Bedarf gedeckt und darfst zurückzahlen. Natürlich ist das alles etwas komplizierter, deswegen möchte ich dir als Tipp empfehlen: Hartz IV ForumJa... da gibts dann so schöne Sachen wie das Mädchen dass von seinem Opa Geld zum Geburtstag überwiesen bekommen hat... schon war das Einkommen und das Alg2 der Mutter und Tochter wurde gekürzt.  |
