We're making all payments using our account balances so I'm not sure that your timer is accurate.
If those balances are paypal balances, my timer is most accurate.

My only suggestions would be if you could make the timer a little bigger.  Grin

It's the default size but I can resize it if you'd like. How's this?

662  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CoinGator on: May 27, 2013, 01:09:20 PM
The feedback seems entirely positive.  I want to echo johnniewalker - it wasn't my intent to criticize the CoinGator folks.  I wish you the very best, and I think it's fantastic that you're working to provide a much-needed service.  I truly hope that it works out well in the long term.

We will see in 180 days. It seems fine now.

Let the record show.

Timer removed. End time: 2013-11-23+7:09:59

until any judgement can be made against CoinGator for their *first* of potentially many transactions.

Until then, any and all feedback are absolutely pointless, especially positive feedback.

Wouldn't you get sucked out though?

Nah, you only get sucked out in jets that go fast enough to create extreme pressures. Prop planes don't go fast enough to suck you out if you're holding on tight. I'd assume if you wanted to take a dump out the window you'd tie off first.

1) is there a bathroom?
2) how does the pilot get to said bathroom?  Huh

3) where is the lever to dump said bathroom contents over your ex's house

667  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer- Jonathan Ryan Owens on: May 27, 2013, 10:17:15 AM
sorry for bumping this matthew...

You do what you've got to do! I just wanted to make sure that the misguided comments from single user didn't by any stretch of the imagination become a guide for resolving this issue. He has a history of doing this though so it's not likely my comments here will influence him, some people just don't want to change. There is an issue that obviously needs to be resolved though and I support bumping the thread until it is resolved.

Cheers
668  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Freelancer.com Scam Alert on: May 27, 2013, 09:31:56 AM
Freelancer.com has never announced anything related to bitcoin, what the hell is OP talking about? I also question the dozen newbie accounts that only posted in this thread right after account creation. Seems like someone is trying to hurt freelancer.com (and failing miserably considering this forum doesn't give a shit).

Neerav, is that you?

http://corporate.freelancer.com/uncategorized/dont-believe-everything-you-read-on-the-internet-lies-scams-and-freelancer-com/

Edit: judging by the malformed links in OP's signature to the OP's freelancer.com competitor (http://walusimbi.com/), I'm now confident this is an extremely poorly orchestrated attempt to discredit freelancer.com by spreading lies and spam. When will spammers ever learn, that by doing so they only bring negative attention to their own businesses?

Great! Then Theymos should have no problem piecing through it and taking the code necessary to make it work properly with the default theme here instead of writing his own from scratch.

Waiting on response from theymos (which will probably be "meh, i dont' see enough people needing it") and others who want to put forth their bounty contribution as well.

Well I'm sorry I just checked it  again there is one problem. Plugin works on SMF ver 2 only and this forum runs on old SMF version 1.1.18.

So either theymos needs to contact smfpack to make that plugin for smf 1.1.18 or get it coded by someone else.

and as far as i knew theymos actually just want to keep forum minimal and secure.
Currently forum is secure, no one can hack it, but if you install one insecure mod on it, it can get hacked easily.

Yep. He does however have a record of implementing things when the community speaks out for them, but mostly when there are bounties attached. If you'd also like to see this happen, let Theymos worry about the technicalities and put something up towards the bounty.
670  Other / Meta / Re: Is This Forum Degenerating? on: May 27, 2013, 09:00:59 AM
Quality will always suffer with quantity.

If the entire world were to use Bitcoin tomorrow, the "average" explanation would be "It's hacker paypal made by the Japanese for drugs!"

Plugin already exists.

Price: $29.99 (?)
Copyright Removed: Yes.

I just can't imagine that such a feature is even technical possible the way quoting in SMF works unless you run a pot, that constantly scans for such links.

The internals of the quote don't matter, all that matters is the code you posted. That code tells the forum software that someone is making a reference to another post. If you are the author of that post, it would show up for you as a response.

Too late to propose a flag?

Is that a take on "buttcoin"?

The above three links allow a forum member to easily see what threads have had activity since the last time they viewed, which is great when they only commented in a few threads. The problem (for members like myself who have been here for over 2 years and comments in hundreds of threads) is that many of the discussions have gotten off-topic, are bumped with spam or trolling, and are basically not worth the time it takes to check and see if anyone responded to your inquiries or arguments.

I think there is a simple and agreeable solution to this.

Add another link.

This would show all threads (whether you commented in them or not) in which someone quoted your posts. Not only would this alert you immediately to responses, but it would also allow you to follow split threads and new topics where users are discussing your posts and/or using your quotes for their own arguments.

Despite the forum having millions of dollars of bitcoins under the guise of forum upgrades (which haven't happened in a year now), it seems that the only way to get the admin to do anything is to pay him money directly, so I'm willing to put up 1 BTC for this feature to be added. It will save everyone here an endless amount of time searching bumped threads and would encourage quoting of people's posts in responses.

Anyone else willing to pitch in for this bounty?

I don't respect any forum that would have me as a member.

676  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of ongoing scams on: May 27, 2013, 06:34:30 AM
Your calling sites scammers due to the fact they can't prove their legitimacy in terms of volume (Well from what I've gathered).

Like Doog & me discussed on another thread, there is no way you can ever prove that the volume isn't faked. You may as well add every casino on your list (Along with the one your working for; Coinroll). Your wasting your time, and are yet to receive any positive feedback to your accusations. I suggest you stop wasting your time.

You assume I work for Coinroll just because Primedice is a knockoff of Coinroll and I added them?
That was peculiar wording for someone not associated with CoinRoll.

I am pointing out the flaws while dozens of butthurt investors rage

I'm not an investor in nor affiliated with in any way, any of the random list of yours, but I can't seem to find a single scam on the list. If your point was to warn the community, try to remember that the community is smarter than you are and it deserves more respect than a few haphazardly bias, baseless opinions to protect it.

680  Economy / Economics / Re: Billionaires hate Bitcoin. on: May 26, 2013, 02:19:51 PM
*sigh*

"the rich hate/love {insert current bullshit}"

"the poor hate/love/are oppressed by {insert current bullshit}"

There is no monolithic entity called "billionaires". It's merely a statistic. People are people, as diverse and dichotomous at all levels. I've know poor folk who didn't give a shit about anyone and rich folk who were trying their damnedest to improve humanity and the living conditions of the many. And vice versa.

There are some very specific rich people who love bitcoin. There are some very specific rich people who hate it. There are a bunch of rich people who don't give a shit, and a bunch more that are interested but essentially neutral.

How a man got to be a millionaire/billionaire will tell you a lot more about where he stands on most any issue than the amount of his wealth. Those that went out and earned it, probably would like bitcoin. Those who inherited it and are living off their daddy probably don't care. Those that stole it (banksters/politicians and such) would very much hate bitcoin as it is potentially a threat to their rapine.

Careful mate, common sense and rationality aren't strong points of bitcointalk.
