Wow. Merry Christmas indeed guys, first time in my whole FBC life I saw Bonanza promo plus Flash Promo going on at the same time. Couldn't resist claiming a bonus and wagering for max benefits. Looks like I'm definitely going to set an even higher record than before Smiley Fingers crossed, enjoy the holidays everyone Smiley

662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: December 25, 2023, 05:04:42 PM
For the holiday promos, they dropped a couple of codes via their Twitter post, and hopefully, the others were quick enough to redeem the code.

Unfortunately, I missed it, but i'll keep an eye out for the second set of codes, expecting it'll be posted around the same hours.

Even when I still had my social media accounts active I never bothered with codes. They run out so fast and I already get tons of freebets from all the pools and promos here.

I guess there's really no Xmas specials going on that I can see, and it's gonna be tough for me to check tomorrow so hope I don't miss it Smiley

Boxing Day multibets!!

664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io - "Beers with Steve" Xmas markets edition :) on: December 25, 2023, 12:54:44 PM
Merry Christmas Steve, Fortify. I feel like I know you in previous pools but don't much interaction with you but this just goes to show that Sportsbet is really the only one who really does so much for the forum as yahoo said. Everyone says 'community' but this is the only gambling casino/sportsbook that really build permanent relationships. I personally know this from my own interactions.

I hope everyone has some blessed rest, and enjoyment!!

The Division 1 table is the real definition of the wild wide west, you all take a look at the big and household names of thid forum gambling all battling it at the bottom of the pile. from Buwaytress, Jeremypwr, Slaman29 and LTU.

You just never know what is coming for you, huh!

It's an honor to be called a big name in forum gambling but I think I have to add some shame and embarassmento to cryptofrka ans Slissy who are also at the bottom of this pile with us lol.

It's such a relief honestly to finally be out of the bottom but it's so tight here you ould win 3 more gams and still be in relegation  Grin

I might be not even available to post tomorrow due to double work shift so I enter picks early.

Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating!!
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: have a question about cancel a transaction on: December 25, 2023, 09:14:05 AM

Thank you very much.

Another question: so it means the transaction may be dropped if the fee is too low?

If the transaction fee is too low and unfortunately the mempool congestion doesn’t reduces such that the transaction fee rate comes down to your range of fee then the transaction will be dropped. The default time is 24 days from the day you broadcasted your transaction but it varies because nodes have different mempool settings so could still have it beyond those days which extends the time for it to be dropped. Also the wallet you might be using could have an in built rebroadcasting feature which will continually rebroadcast your transaction and then stopping it from getting dropped

Also to prevent this rebroadcasting, don't open your wallet also as wallets with this auto feature will keep broadcasting your unconfirmed transaction.

If you really need to check, just go offline and open wallet. 24 days is a loooong time, I know Smiley

Is this from the sport special page? weird its not showing up on mine
My reply is a bit late, but yes it came from the specials page. Maybe you guys checked in at a bad time because they had a bunch of them(2-3 matches), including the EPL multi-bet, and I had to skip it as i'm not a fan of the other leg that was included.

I also had a similar problem last week or so where the MOTD wasn't showing consistently, but eventually, it got fixed.

https://sportsbet.io/sports/sportsbet-specials/matches/today

This is my goto link for specials but yes I didn't see anything today, but maybe later there are some I don't know what happens after midnight my time. This is latest I will ever stay up on Sunday lol

I'm sure SB is taking a break too, everybody deserves a Christmas.

GL everyone waiting for New Year promos Wink I'm off to sleep and do Xmas shift.

It's still ok though. I pay wire with my bank many issues:
- fill in long form because foreign guy
- Friday send only process Monday. Monday process only arrive Thursday (3 work days + timezone)
- 3% flat fee
- bank rate forex bad

So yes even in high fee, I love sending BTC.

and yet banks invented debit cards to save on filling in forms and excess fee's
whenever i go abroad and use debit card i dont have your fiat experience..

and yet bitcoin is becoming worse than fiat.
natively im british so my bank wire transfers of fiat are free. but now bitcoin has been the thing with huge fee's

i remember the days when bitcoin was advertised as the remittance system for international currency exchange that was cheaper the using WU.. now western union is cheaper then bitcoin..

core devs love the fee mania and congestion. it helps advertise their corporate sponsors ROI via alternate payment networks that use middlemen
[/quote]

When you send money overseas like I do, you always fill froms. You have now 'convenient' option of Vis payment but guess what you still have online form to fill, plus Reason of sending, Relation of receiver and Source of funds AND higher fee of 5%.

Most of us asians send money abroad, remittance through companies is the cheaper option but still days of waiting and forms.

WU? My WU is flat fee almost 4-5% (it gets smaller with big amount) plus worse exchange rate. Its the fastest (instant collection) but MOST expensive.

You'reBritish so maybe you don't feel thirdworld daily occurrence Sad

I also need Searle to lose the match. But I have hope since Goto knocked out another English player in  the last round, even then Goto had 5 odds to win the match. Anything can happen and lets go Goto!!!!😁😁

Update: I watch the match and this looks very bad for Goto..

Dammit. See in the end 2 seeds lost and 3 went through, weirdly enough the one guy I chose Yes lost 3-0! Anyway at least I know now the worst result I can achieve is a draw I see in the table now I'm leading 5-4 over jeremypwr and only Fenerbahce and Galatasaray will decide now if I get 1 point or 3 Smiley

High scoring round for everyone!
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is the #1 crypto currency in the world if it's slow and expensive? on: December 24, 2023, 09:30:03 AM
Apart from the fact that bitcoin is becoming very slower and very expensive, I think one of the major reasons why people are accepting it more than any other cryptocurrency is it’s decentralized nature <>

The simple answer to your question is decentralization is the only reason bitcoin is superseding

Lol at guys like you man. Slower? 10 minutes average per block has always been the speed, priority of next block confirm is always in place. 9 confirmation services always there.

Very expensive lol thats price of adoption.

People using Bitcoin because its decentralized is nonsense. 90% of you posters keep BTC on exchanges.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: December 23, 2023, 04:29:05 PM
More, more, more! I admit it hurts a little but at the end of the day I seldom send as a DCA guy, I usually receive and yes, that means I don't really need to worry much.
What we need to do mempool is still quite high! I also did DCA and now my BTC is stuck on the exchange because I don't want to withdraw with high fees so I left it there first even though there is a little concern.

Ya right. I have seen your posts in past. You do nothing you claim lol.

If you DCA a lot, exchange fee should not be a problem because you saved on input size anyway accumulating all this time. And if you DCA on exchange but only concerned now, well, you are unwise not to have been concerned before.

Just yesterday I needed to send, but I have an "exchange" hot wallet. Paid only 15k sats so still under a dollar. Bring high fees on!

For you unfortunately I have some bad news:
Quote
15,000 SATS = 6.57 USD

Oops hehe I can't believe my math is so bad, all this while I'm thinking of mbtc and satoshi and for some reason I know mbtc = x40, but satoshi I forgot to x4. So I paid almost $7 for $300+ (7 mbtc yesterday).

672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: December 23, 2023, 12:46:31 PM
could it be something to do with no sport special for the day? its abit inconvenience for me
It's also been that way for me, and maybe it's because they forgot to update the MOTD on the promotion page.

Tons of markets available today, and the one that caught my attention was the Man City special. Despite the favored odds, I think it's worth getting when the regular odds you can get with this combo is around 1.44-1.47 at most with the regular odds boost.

Old issue, just ask support to restore promos. Then, just keep a bookmark of the specials. For me it's stored in my browser history in fact lol I visit it so often. My issue is also timezone, the specials sometimes comes out very late for me. Would have take City special no problem, if I saw it Smiley

I didn't know that, didn't Klopp play B squad in the season they won cup double though? IIRC Alisson didn't play single game.

Kelleher will be the 1st GK in both cups, that's almost 99% guaranteed. Also, players like Gakpo, Endo, Tsimikas, Elliott, Gomez will start regularly.
<>
Darts question doesn't look good for me. buwaytress and I have 1 different pick and the odds on his guy are 1.65.
You actually investigated, right? You picked 'No' only for the guy playing against the champion of Germany.

Yeah, so I remembered right, in which case guys like Salah playing was not a guarantee or in fact, almost surely not to score/assist, yet he did with few minutes on pitch. Smart question, and the fact t scored even with known ways of Klopp playing!

I didn't investigate, I looked at rankings but still refuse to believe it. How often did seed 2 to 5 in tennis lose in first round? A lot! I have 4 'No' while jeremypwr has all yes so, need as many to lose as possible Smiley

Dobey win already, now 3 to go ulps
674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA LIFT THE BAN ON CRYPTOCURRENCY IN NIGERIA on: December 23, 2023, 09:56:52 AM
Not to blow up good news but when did the ban ever stop Nigerians from using Bitcoin, just look at this very forum lol

I mean, I've been using it regardless legal or not, in fact kinda prefer it to not be clearly legal because it seems scams pop up when it's legal... leading to ppl losing money, and Bitcoin getting a bad name.

Remember, Bitcoin is freedom money Smiley

Wow I can't believe I have full greens this round, but my opponent has so many different answers that it's too soon to feel confident. Plus now the dart thing is happening, I truly regret saying No to almost everyone except the biggest favorite. In any case still I hope for "tennis" style upsets Smiley

Dobey and Bunting have found their opponents for next round, I need at least one of them to lose

I need both to lose Tongue

He often does that - he doesn't really want to rest them. He wants to keep them in match form and you'll rarely see a game in which a player like Salah sits on the bench.

I didn't know that, didn't Klopp play B squad in the season they won cup double though? IIRC Alisson didn't play single game.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin will bring you hope and gambling will leave you destitute. on: December 22, 2023, 12:56:21 PM
If the person I am referring to had not gambled in online casinos and invested this amount of money in bitcoins, he would have made a substantial half profit today, even after paying off his debts.  If he had bought 1 BTC and sold it now when the price of Bitcoin was twenty thousand dollars, he would have made a profit of about 25K dollars even though he had paid a loan of 18K dollars. The reason for sharing this incident of my local elder brother is to warn users about the dangers of gambling.

I don't owe you $18K so we may not understand it but the one I shared with understands how heavy the burden of debt is.

Yes, at a glance, it's no brainer. But one must understand that Bitcoin IS a gamble. I support it. I love it. A lot of my hopes is on it. But I remember in 2017 the biggest lesson I believe is BTC is as probable to go to $1million as it is to go to zero. You never know.

A lot of people "invest" in crypto. But they trade, sell, buy, exchange for altcoins.

That's gambling!! So it's pointless to switch a gambler to "investing" if they don't address the addiction and see Bitcoin as a get-rich-quick.

678  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If there is a war between the US and Europe, Bitcoin will hit $1 billion on: December 22, 2023, 09:17:48 AM
Wait wait we might as well also think of scenario when they discover a huge gold asteroid and go to war China US, Bitcoin will flip gold abd overtake market cap, and dollar will devalue so badly Bitcoin will be 1 trillion dollars.

I like thinking of situations like everyone else but Bitcoin has trouble with $100k at today's value. What's the point of thinking of billions?
679  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Could exchanges leverage on the current market trend to woo new investors? on: December 21, 2023, 02:25:37 PM
Just be a good exchange. Transparent and licensed and always fair fees. Make it better faster safer than a bank, now thats how you drive adoption man.
People in the crypto space needs their services for convenient and reliable means of crypto transactions, and also to reduce the chances of being scammed in two party p2p.

We're talking about cexs here and that to me has almost nothing to do with p2p.

CEXs being more secure and transparent is an improvement of system, not of network. I see network improvements to be what secures p2p more (talking about smart contract and escrow all on blockchain).

Believe me, if you take proper precaution with p2p you are way safer than using any CEX.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: December 21, 2023, 01:18:55 PM
I watched the first 70 minutes of the Barcelona-Almeria match and Barcelona played horrible against the last team in the league. Even though they got ahead 2 times they still couldn't manage to maintain the score. There is a lot of time until the Napoli match in the Champions League. However if they don't manage to recover until then Napoli can get a lopsided victory thanks to Osimhen's having a good form as well.

As usual I can't follow matches live but reports and Xavi himself slammed our performances beyond doubt. I'm really not sure where we go now but I had a strong suspicion this was going to be a failure to defend the title, I just never expected to be so far behind Girona or that we would perform badly. Lewandowski magic paper not anymore can hide deficient teams.

Napoli luckily also cannot rediscover last season form but beyond that, I doubt very much we go far.
