682  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ THE ULTIMATE BITCOIN CASINO GUIDE ⭐ CRYPTO AFFILIATE OF THE YEAR 🏆 on: November 09, 2023, 10:59:13 PM
Yeah... I mean, they haven`t screwed players (afaik). Still, the way they handled this is as shady and unprofessional as it gets really - and more often than not, in the past, I have seen operators who treat their business partners like s***, treat their players poorly, too, sooner or later.

You can`t just block an account when it`s also the affiliate one and keep all the earnings just for you - that`s a big no-no.
I think I have seen a couple of scam accusations against there where they have given players hard time too, and then they would reluctantly solve the issues after getting pressure from the community. Not a good platform to play from if at any time you are going to be a victim.

Edit:

These are the two threads I have seen in the past.
It took the complainants months to have the issues resolved

1. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5384260.0
2. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5423018.0

So I believe the decision you made is sound.
683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: minimum amounts to buy and sell a coin when trading on: November 09, 2023, 10:25:19 PM
The minimum deposit for USDT is $7, and there's no minimum deposit for BTC. You can actually check this yourself because you don't need to go through KYC for registration to check the minimum deposit. You only need to activate 2fa and provide your email. you know that you can use an alt email, and you can also download an authenticator app as a Google Chrome extension for simple step..
I think he should also be looking at the minimum withdrawal amount. There's depositing 7 USDT, yet he can't withdraw it back because of a higher withdrawal limit and fees.

I just registered using a disposable email address, and the exchange won't even allow me to view the minimums without first verifying my accounts. There's no way I can even think of sending my KYC documents to such a platform
684  Other / New forum software / Re: Progress? We're waiting... on: November 09, 2023, 10:07:37 PM
It is essential to consider the potential ramifications of implementing forum software changes at this stage. The majority of our users have developed a high degree of proficiency and comfort with the existing software, making a transition to a new forum with unfamiliar features a potentially vexing endeavor.
So what was the point of spending lots of bitcoins in developing a new forum software if the transition was going to be a problem?

It is noteworthy that those advocating for the new forum software primarily do so on a principled basis rather than practical necessity. Consequently, the prospect of discontent and disruption among a substantial portion of the user base looms large, underscoring the need for a deliberate and judicious approach to ensure a harmonious transition that respects the established user preferences and expectations.
We live in changing times. Change is inevitable. Which is why when you are renting a place that doesn't seem to suit your demands and lifestyle needs as you grow, you "painfully" transfer to a new place, the whole process may be bothersome, but it's worth it at the end.
685  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade Supreme Finance HYPES token on MEXC - 5 billion total supply on: November 09, 2023, 09:48:23 PM
Trade Supreme Finance HYPES token currently listed on MEXC is a low cap gem, it is to be noted that HYPE is currently swapped to HYPES so the token listed on HTX is a different one. There is currently no price prediction of this token.
How do you bring up both of those two different bolded sentence parts in one paragraph? Don't you see that you are contradicting yourself? The HYPES token simply a pump and dump token and once it starts dumping, it will be endless until there is no more volume, delisted from the platforms and completely dead.

I mean, look at the chart of this token... you really think it's going to miraculously resurrect?

686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 09, 2023, 09:35:34 PM
Yes, you are right that Jamal Musiala is not the best option for Real Madrid to replace Kylian Mbappé. Musiala is a deep-place midfielder, Kylian Mbappé is a perfect striker, and Real Madrid needs a solid striker in the midfield. Already, Jude Bellingham has taken over and left no stone unturned, but Real Madrid's strike space is empty for a perfect striker, and I think Kylian Mbappé will do his best. So, Real Madrid should not make a mistake by signing Jamal Musiala, but should try to complete the transfer as soon as possible by adding Kylian Mbappé to their signing list.
By the way, in case you didn't know, Mbappé's favourite positions is not Centre Forward. He prefers coming off the left wing. If Real Madrid sign him, it means Vinícius Jr's style of play might get impacted, perhaps this is one of the reasons Real Madrid don't really care that much about signing Mbappé like they did a couple of seasons back. What Real Madrid need is an actual centre forward and one that is top class, and it's hard to come by such.
687  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: November 08, 2023, 02:04:01 PM
As a rule, the image size is not changed. (Unless I use the zip tool.)

Comparison using the screenshot is not viable, you have to check the height x width pixels.
Can you check the pixels of both images and share?
Thanks, I have actually checked both images and the pixels are the same (1308 × 79 pixels) but what makes me wonder is why the uploaded image always appears larger or more zoomed in than the source from where the screenshot was taken, yet both are displayed on a browser that has the same zoom level at 100%
688  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex support personel asking me to download their app on: November 08, 2023, 01:52:10 PM
And why am I seeing different review ratings from my side? I have used the same link.
4.4 stars vs 3.3 stars, Is Google Play really serious? I read through a handle of the most relevant ones, and they really painted a picture of the exchange being very bad from Frozen funds, inability of some users to verify due to the KYC docs being rejected to a nonfunctional app after an update

689  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: November 08, 2023, 01:21:32 PM
If I understood the bpip reporting correctly, what you mentioned appears after changing the status from DT2 to DT1 and vice versa.
This is a printout because in the meantime you and 1miau have become DT1, so there is no longer an equation logfiles DT2 no longer trusts 1miau DT2, now is more like logfiles DT1 trusts 1miau DT1
So, BPIP shows all the changes, and here the change happened due to the monthly DT reshuffle.
Or probably a bug due to the month reshuffle?
Yeah, last month I was on DT1 and this month am on DT2, but the thing is I have so many other members on my trustlist and not just those two, so I would expect it to show others too... right?
690  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: November 08, 2023, 01:11:41 PM
@Joker_josue, apologies if this has been talked about before

I noticed that the images uploaded appear to be larger than the original screenshots. I find myself having to adjust the image height and width most of the time in the posts which is OK but there are some members who don't do this, and you find the entire screen filled up with a screenshot making the post ugly.

Here is part of my desktop showing a side by side comparison of the uploaded image in the browser and original screenshot of the image in the image viewer just for perspective
Is it by design?

691  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: November 08, 2023, 12:51:14 PM
I believe there are some bugs and inaccuracies with the DT Change log

First, I see some invisible member was getting selected into DT1 Wink

And then, I was offline for most part of last month, I never touched my trust list and then I see this
Quote
11/1/2023 9:45:18 PM    DT2 selection    logfiles DT2 no longer trusts 1miau DT2
Quote
11/1/2023 9:45:18 PM    DT2 selection    logfiles DT2 no longer trusts icopress DT2
My trust list hasn't been touched for a while - https://loyce.club/trust/2023-10-28_Sat_05.07h/1247226.html

This could mean it didn't happen to me alone, there could be some more incorrect changes in the log that we think.
692  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex support personel asking me to download their app on: November 08, 2023, 12:29:45 PM
If the app has verification tools then this might be legit mail. I would like to know if any other users are getting the same mail after they ask the support to unfreeze their account.
Looks like one of the members too said that he was told to download the app.

If you are to download the APP, I suggest you download directly using the app links that appear on their official website and not the link sent to you through the email just to be safe, log in and see what next they want you to do. I hope you did not keep a large amount of funds in Poloniex.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to roll-back Ordinals? on: November 08, 2023, 11:24:01 AM
Currently as we speak, bitcoin's blockchain is clogged by transactions because ORDI a shitcoin related to so called "inscriptions" creating NFT like things on-chain for bitcoin.
Currently, things are even "OK" we have seen worse when the Ordinals hype had just set in and there were something like 300 - 400K unconfirmed transactions in the mempool. The transaction fee rate was insane for weeks
Suggestions were made but the developers just decided not to do anything about it. The idea is that the hype will die down with time and the Bitcoin network will be back to normal.

The Ordinals madness is more like an eye opener. I mean, if bitcoin network gets huge adoption worldwide where there is an inflow of hundreds of thousands of transaction per hour and we have a mempool with lets say over 1 million unconfirmed transactions, what next for the Bitcoin dveelopers and community?
Do they just let it be?
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and it's 4 Year-Cycle on: November 08, 2023, 11:04:42 AM
OP, I am trying to understand what exactly the volumes on the graph represent?

As for the cycles, I think they have more to do with the halving, and then we have a new flow of money as people anticipate the next bull run. Just like most of us here are waiting for the "cycle", so are other people out there. But we must also be ready if things don't go as planned or if the cycle takes longer than expected.
695  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poloniex support personel asking me to download their app on: November 08, 2023, 10:38:27 AM
People still use Poloniex?

Isn't that one of the exchanges that was acquired by Justin Sun. Everything that guy touches turns into trash. I just checked their app reviews on Google Play and things don't seem good at all
Why would they even ask you to download their app in the first place? Does the app have features that support verification and the web version does not? Seems so shady.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: November 07, 2023, 07:33:27 PM
What I really wanted to go with is full 10 stakes on Lens away victory at PSV - the odds were 4.80 and are exactly the type of risk a person should go for in a competition like this. Not sure why I choked - 0 or 48 points is a nice R:R ratio for a game you feel is 50-50.
I also have a similar feeling about the PSV vs Lens game. Lens has the capability of pulling off an upset and probably going into the knock-out stages. In the French League, their performance doesn't look so good so far

Otherwise pool B game of the week could be Shakhtar Donetsk vs Barcelona, let's see how this goes..
Absolutely, people were so much focused on the Manchester city match they forgot that there was a one Barcelona playing away from home against Shakhtar. This is the same team that upset Real Madrid twice last season if you guys remember  Grin

I tipped Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Real Sociedad to win the Matches.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: November 07, 2023, 04:32:41 PM
@buwaytress, Some small error on the Borussia Dortmund vs Newcastle match on the UCL Predictor form. I think you forgot to delete Milan

Quote
M2: Borussia Dortmund - Newcastle Milan

Also, is it possible to add a setting on the form where the recorded responses can be sent to once email address? It can make it easier for one to know if they made a mistake or not after submission.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: November 07, 2023, 12:58:37 AM
And there will be no Haaland for Man City this time around, who else want to go all 10 stake points in on the 25 Odds value for Young Boys, that'd be 250 points, and probably game over  Cheesy
Those are some balls of steel you got there  Grin
With the red-hot Foden, Jeremy Doku and Julián Álvarez waiting to pounce on any opportunity handed over to them. You will definitely be on the edge of the seat the entire match, but the 250 points is really tempting. It will probably be easier once the top clubs have cemented their positions in the group stages and have qualified for the knockouts.
699  Other / New forum software / Re: Progress? We're waiting... on: October 12, 2023, 10:12:45 PM
Does bitcointalk.org have an owner or how development can be so dead? Cheesy
Yes, the forum has an administrator who is technically the owner as of today. The development doesn't seem "dead" but it's painfully slow and one of the reasons is probably because the admin is reluctant to let go the current forum set up which he feels is efficient and secure.

Just read up the thread, you will see some quotes from the admin himself about why things are probably not being worked on so fast.

I always thought that when a user is Nuked, this is similar to someone being permanently banned except that the whole post history is wiped off

Danielplease1 appears to have been nuked according to the modlog

But it's like BPIP.org does not record this type of ban. Is it bug?
