Don't you think we have enough coins already?

We should be concentrating on moving the coins already in existence forward not adding more coins to confuse newbies.

No more coins!
682  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Got sum ideas for names :) on: December 26, 2013, 11:35:59 AM
We don't need any more coins - too many already - that being said cool names.

Sorry to hear about that - Not really sure what to suggest, just keep on at BTC-e for a resolution.
685  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best way to start getting BTC atm? on: December 26, 2013, 11:29:30 AM
I wouldn't recommend mining BTC, simply too difficult and not worth it.

You could try mining the alts but this is risky.

Invest directly in BTC is a good move.

 Cool

Never heard of the site - let us know if you make a successful purchase!

Good news - Unfortunately it's on the other side of the world from where I'm at  Sad
689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 5 post to get started? Really? on: December 26, 2013, 09:55:41 AM
Make a constructive post and wait 4 hours - you should then have full access.

Make 10 posts and you can add a signature.

Not really too strenuous!
690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your next trading move! Mine is... on: December 26, 2013, 09:52:31 AM
Probably buying too late and selling too soon.........
691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There are so many copycats of Bitcoin. Do you think any of them will succeed? on: December 26, 2013, 09:50:55 AM
There are some good alts - but the majority are pointless.

It's a shame people keep creating them!

692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just got some Xmas money, looking to invest in Crypto, what's hot right now? on: December 26, 2013, 09:32:03 AM
You should buy Bitcoins Wink

Altcoins are in no way superior to BTC, have no infrastructure, literally nobody accepts them for payment.
Maybe LTC, but that's it.

That's a good point. There is a small chance that a few alt currencies will make it big - the trick is knowing which one will before it actually does  Cheesy
693  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just got some Xmas money, looking to invest in Crypto, what's hot right now? on: December 26, 2013, 09:28:29 AM
You've got to be careful investing in alts - lots of pointless coins.

There are a few good ones though - try Anoncoin for a start, Peercoin, Worldcoin and Feathercoin to name a few respected ones.

Make sure to do your research!
694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best UK account/payment service to send payment in Euros on: December 26, 2013, 09:08:22 AM
When transferring from your bank you don't have to change Sterling to Euros - said in GBP and you should get a batter rate when converted at the other end (should but not guaranteed!)
695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Graincoin Blockchain Fork Took 1 Million Coin on: December 26, 2013, 09:03:19 AM
Never heard of Graincoin - Be very careful when investing in monkey coins such as this one - you could, and did, get burnt.

696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So you're newbie, have you already bought BTC or are you waiting for a drop? on: December 26, 2013, 08:59:15 AM
Seems to be on the rise again - be it not by much!

The price hopefully will keep climbing.

698  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reversable transactions on: December 26, 2013, 07:03:16 AM
Transactions are only reversible if the medium you use to facilitate the transaction offers this support.

BTC does not.

Would love to see that!

Strong agree with the OP.

Too many nonsense coins coming up purely for the profit of the devs.

Unfortunately - due to this being decentralised currency - it can't be prohibited.
