682  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Date for 25 BTC per Block on: September 10, 2012, 04:29:55 AM
December 3rd now.    If it continues increasing, even to a lesser degree than we've been seeing recently, Block 210,000 will end up occurring in November.

683  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Pirateat40 Prosecution on: September 10, 2012, 01:27:22 AM
Truth is pirate is < scammer than Matthew as 0/112 < 23/459

on the other hand, with regards to any payment proof, matthew is at 100% proof (0 for 0) while pirate is only ~4% (1 for 23).

I guess you could use www.aucoin2.com as a quick vague reference

personally, i think aucoin2's look & feel screams "adobe acrobat".

690  Economy / Services / Re: The Best Bitcoin Website Directory - Add your website for free - bitcoiney.com on: September 07, 2012, 03:29:37 AM
I don't really want to shell out $250 for a domain, especially if I am not certain how well this site will perform.

yeah, i suppose that's why those 200+ domains are still for sale after ~12 months

is this based on wordpress by the way? or some other pre-written software?
691  Other / Archival / Re: [Bounty] Fix this php code for me .5 btc on: September 07, 2012, 02:47:37 AM
For the love of god, turn this off of a live server right now.  It's like a poster child for an SQL injection exploit.  Never. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. put raw, unsanitized data into your SQL query.  mysql_real_escape_string() is not enough.

Also (and I'm guilty of this, I admit) do not die with the mysql_error.  Give a generic message and log the error somewhere that is not open to the public.

692  Economy / Services / Re: The Best Bitcoin Website Directory - Add your website for free - bitcoiney.com on: September 07, 2012, 02:37:25 AM
One problem I see is that you don't own bitcoiny.com. This will diminish your brand.

bitcoiny.com has been for sale for more than 12 months now... i think the owner was looking for over $250... it's on this board somewhere under some user like 'drome' or 'dromey'.

include("assets/member.inc.php");
/* Is an Action set? */
if(isset($_GET['action'])) {

   <!--CSS Files-->
   <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="assets/css/style.css" />

then change

<?php echo $content; ?>

696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin max on: September 07, 2012, 01:09:31 AM
But what would you call someone who now buys any of those "closed BitcoinMax" accounts?

i'd call them "people who already know about the risk anyway".
697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PHP martingale bot for satoshiDICE on: September 07, 2012, 12:57:03 AM
I stopped doing the 2x play and started doing the 1.338 on BTC Dice today and instead of doubling you just quadruple.  Start with .025 bets or .1 depending on how brave you are.  I played it for an hour and won 2 bitcoins using .1,.4,1.6,6.4,26.6  @26.6 you would have lost 5 times and the odds of that happening are 1:841.  In the end I did play again and lost .5 bitcoins because I didn't want to wager a bunch but I feel like the risk is less mine.

try 25.6 next time.
698  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: {ANNOUNCEMENT} WBX Exchange Frozen on: September 07, 2012, 12:39:15 AM
what about people who have sold their debt here on the forum?

iirc burtw is the current owner of my share.

That's a good point.  As far as I know, yours was the only account that was sold.  I thought I remembered Brendio buying your account, but I guess either I remember it wrong or he has since sold it on.

Looking back, I see:

official statement:

i am selling my total WBX funds to brendio.

i have sent him a WBX code for a little over $497.33 and brendio has agreed via PM to send me 11 BTC for it.

edit: i've now received the 11 btc.

so you already transferred your balance to Brendio, and so I don't need to take that into consideration - Brendio's account will simply have $497.33 more in it than it used to.  Did Brendio since pass the balance on to BurtW?  That's the first I've heard about it if that's the case.

no, it was indeed brendio, not burtw... i was just remembering fuzzy.

and also i didn't remember that i had created a WBX code and transferred to his actual account... so that's all good. i was worried that the funds were still in my WBX account, which would have made things more difficult for you.
699  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: {ANNOUNCEMENT} WBX Exchange Frozen on: September 06, 2012, 10:50:06 PM
I'll set up a claim site which will allow people to log in using their WBX openid login, which will allow me to collect bitcoin withdrawal addresses in a secure manner.  This seems like the safest way to proceed, since I have no other way of authenticating WBX user accounts - for the most part I have no details at all about the account owners.

what about people who have sold their debt here on the forum?

iirc burtw is the current owner of my share.
