681  Economy / Economics / Re: Three reasons to invest in Bitcoin on: August 26, 2017, 03:57:09 AM
The article mentioned about 3 reasons to invest and also 3 reasons not invest in bitcoin.
I believe there are more than 10 reasons to invest in bitcoin but mostly people only care about how my money could growing in bitcoin.
Well, actually your money doesn't growing,  bitcoin gain more value because people buy it causes its price increase, and after you cash out bitcoin, its price decline. Which means, you just take other people's money indirectly, that's why bitcoin is so volatile.
  • Bitcoin is very volatile – In the ten years it has existed, Bitcoin has been prone to major bubbles and painful crashes.
Don't worry about bitcoin value, it will increase as time goes on due to limited supply of bitcoin.
But, the best reason to invest in bitcoin is because it has real usability as medium of exchange, you know it's useful and better than fiat currency which constantly losing its value over time.
682  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price by December? on: August 26, 2017, 02:07:03 AM
We're on good track of bitcoin development right now, segwit has been activated and cause bitcoin price could stay above $4300 again and it seems increase slowly, better than on Bull runs obviously. If wallet developers could adjust the codes to suitable for segwit then we will enter a new phase of 'segwit trial' in order to test it is works or nothing changes. If segwit could resolve bitcoin problem regarding high fees and transaction time, maybe bitcoin could reach $6000 in the end of this year.

This thread should be in speculation board.
683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Things All traders should Do on: August 25, 2017, 11:55:31 PM
to me the the 5 things that all trader should do are as follow.
1..  every trader should do trade in such items in which he as some good knowledge about it.
2,,,, all trader should invest such amount of money which he can easily bare to lost.
3.... all traders should avoid trading on loan.
4..... traders should try to trade for lonng term.
5.... traders should invest in trading according to his experience.

Every trader should know that some coins really has good potential and rest of it just useless coins which maybe pump once and then dumped for good. Every trader should develop their sense to choose the best coins, such as monero when it was $20 few months ago and it reach over $100 righ now. Some coins will be profitable if you can be patient as long as those coins really has usability instead of just for trading purpose.
684  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-23] Bitcoin Transactions Aren’t as Anonymous as Everyone Hoped on: August 25, 2017, 11:18:56 PM
No shit. That is the reason Mixers exists (existed ? ). They are looking to completely deanonymize BTC by shutting coin mixers and requesting your ID when purchasing BTC anywhere.

Indeed, for those who want more privacy could divide his bitcoin into several wallets and use mixer to remove traces.
By divide bitcoin and using mixer, we can avoid this; as soon as your personal details are linked to your Bitcoin address, your purchase history is revealed too.
But, if someone purchase something and it require Id in case of shipment, then it will always recorded in the merchant.
Well, honestly there's nothing to hide about what we've bought in the past as mostly just daily needs.
685  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: SMS messages with Bitcoin on: August 25, 2017, 03:49:23 PM
You guys think point is sending SMS cheap, no. Point of last project was to send sms to anyone anonymously with Bitcoin.

I see, but the question is who needs to send anonymous SMS. You send messages to your friends, family, co-workers, etc you don't need to hide your face. The only group of people I see who may be interested is for marketing spam purposes. For example, I receive at home 2-3 calls weekly trying to sell me, swimming pools, insurances, solar panels, etc. They call less since we are now able to report them. With a website/app like your, I guess they will really enjoy it Cheesy

Agree, he's right. Most people don't need to send messages anonymously.
You should consider the usability instead of just thought; "oh it will be fun".
Maybe few people may like to use your service and you can try to develop it, just go ahead.
I'd like to see how it will be and how much people are willing to pay bitcoin for anonymous sms.
686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we already rich, gentleman? on: August 25, 2017, 03:02:12 PM
Not yet. You'll need like 20-30 Bitcoin for that in my view, and there is not many people that have so many.

I am not one of them at least lol. We'll keep waiting until it gets 10 times higher.

Obviously, we need more than BTC50 according to current price I guess.
50 * $4300 = only $215,000 not enough to stated as rich.
Bitcoin isn't a fast way to become rich, as current price is expensive, except
If you can make BTC10 per month, then you can be rich in 5 years later.
Which is impossible for layman without any skill and don't have big capital,
But, at least you can make enough money to cover daily expenses through invest on cryptocurrencies.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Unbanked on: August 25, 2017, 08:28:16 AM
The point is to encourage unbanked people to be a part on banking economy, isn't it?
- to lend money and suffer under high interest?
- to store their money and get charged every month and for certain transactions?

Look at this; A customer should download the mobile application and sign the processing of personal data agreement. ”A phone can tell a lot more about customers than they agree to tell by their own. Moreover, an access to a mobile phone will give more diverse and reliable information than a passport or other papers can,”
the Big Data platform drives all the data received from the phone through neural networks, analyzes the result, and evaluate a customer’s trustworthiness.

It seems like an application to get private information from everyone through mobile phone. Who wants to download such apps? Lol Grin
688  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Maximize Btc on: August 25, 2017, 07:28:56 AM
Do you know it's hard to believe on someone that you know? moreover to someone that you don't know offer to send min BTC0.05 without any legit evidence, there's no any guarantee to get this invested bitcoin back.
Do you know it's so risky to manage people's funds and promises high return within 72 hours?
It easier to run away with those BTC0.05 instead of struggling to get profits for others.

That's why, you need to provide some legit evidence about your profits, your id, your photos, Skype (video call) and better to meet directly, face to face. Do you dare to fulfill all those requirements? Let's start with your id, and then Skype.
689  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have 1 BTC , is it good decisions to go all-in in 1 coins? on: August 25, 2017, 06:29:25 AM
the title says it all, i wanted to learn some advice from you guys, how you guys actually manage trading if you already had with that such amounts or more

Yes, this is a good idea, as long as you know which coin that will rise significantly in the next couple weeks.
I know a friend who invested on ICO around BTC0.153 and could made profit around BTC1.85 after a month.
But the problem is; do you know which coin to invest such big amount?
If you don't know, consider to invest BTC1 partially in several projects or all in if you sure about your choice.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO YOU AGREE? on: August 25, 2017, 03:01:24 AM
Possible but I don't think so. Bitcoin is indeed way to bubbly right now, and there has to be only one large holder who decides to sell, that can drop the price to 3000 by selling 5-6K bitcoins. Other than that, I don't think anyone can predict.

No, I won't do that if I have 5-6K bitcoins, stupid thing to do obviously.
The question; where do you gonna exchange BTC5-6K at once? Or exchange it partially is a better idea? Or wait until bitcoin reach higher price such as $8000-$10000? Don't be greedy if you have huge amount of bitcoin, usually people sell small amount of bitcoin such as BTC1-BTC50 according to certain price.

I agree that bitcoin on bubble since the first time it was created, but $4000 seems as the standard price of bitcoin right now.
And segwit has been activated, but we still have to wait until all clear from wallet devs to upgrade the codes.
Then, we will see the Bulls run again.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The OFFICIAL SegWit Activation Thread on: August 24, 2017, 11:39:05 PM
I do not see any big improvements yet but the unconfirmed transactions in the mempool is growing smaller and smaller. Let us see if the small increase in transactions per block would help get those transactions faster.

The BitcoinCash people are proud that it took only 3 blocks to confirm all 37,000 transactions in their mempool.

There are over 70K unconfirmed transactions right now (https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions) and it's keep growing up rather than diminishing. I am not sure when wallet devs launch the update for segwit as I can't find any information about it unless trezor wallet statement. Anyone here using electrum wallet and already heard about new update? Current fees still inconvenient and all we have to do is waiting.
692  Economy / Speculation / Re: SEGWIT, where are the lower fees? on: August 24, 2017, 05:03:08 PM
folks, BUY
kwuck is back Wink

The only thing I'm buying is OMG and KNC (Kyber ICO), not bitcoin. Even if bitcoin went to 50k in a year (over 1000 %, not that impressive in crypto world anymore), it wouldn't make anyone rich like owning OMG/KNC.

So, the point of your questions about segwit and fees just for point out your choice of altcoins?
It's up to you to invest in some altcoins that you consider will be profitable someday, but bitcoin still has its supporters, much more than OMG and KYC investors who will dump those coins if it reach certain price.
I am expecting segwit could be works, but let's see what will happen, not heard anything about it yet.
693  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-24] IRS Tracking Bitcoiners with Chainalysis on: August 24, 2017, 04:00:58 PM
Well, bitcoin is just one of many options to do illegal things but I don't like the idea of paying taxes from what you've got.
It seems like a game to avoid taxes for bitcoiners in USA, they have to report how much profits that they have made and IRS want a piece of cake from them. For now they could use monero or zcash, ooh that's why zcash price increase significantly in the last few months. IRS can't track down everyone in cryptocurrencies, people just have to avoid exchanges and divide their money into several addresses, done.
694  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin lite on: August 24, 2017, 02:51:40 PM
Anyone heard Bitcoin lite off late ?

what are prospects ?

Are you talking about Bitcoin Lite or litebitcoin. I was playing around with litebitcoin recently and have a couple of coins stuck in a wallet, possibly a fork but I'm sure. It might simply be that the block Jay doesn't have an affectionate and I didn't really take the time to look over $0.80 worth of coins.

Bitcoin lite has 20% premined coins and 50 coins as giveaway for everyone who wants to.
It seems Op want to hold it just in case something bright waiting in the future, lol Grin. Not gonna happen.
What's the point to create a lite version of bitcoin? A copy of bitcoin? Bitcoin can stand by itself and people don't need to use a lite version as bitcoin is definitely different from all of those altcoins, especially how much support from devs team and all the users for bitcoin all this time.
695  Economy / Economics / Re: Selling Bitcoin = Opportunity loss?! on: August 24, 2017, 08:14:46 AM
You are assuming that the price will continue to rise. That is not guaranteed, so selling is not necessarily lost opportunity.

Selling may be the way to maximize your return, but it depends on the risk of holding.

Agree, after sell at the peaks, we could maximize amount of bitcoin to repurchase.
Especially if we know the dump will happen, normally it always happens after bitcoin on Bull runs.
The problem is if bitcoin price keep increasing after we sell out bitcoin, so timing is everything in order to get profits and still could buy back at the dips of bitcoin price.
696  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [ANN] Bither - simple&secure Bitcoin wallet.(v1.7.1 released) on: August 24, 2017, 07:13:12 AM
Just knew about this wallet, although it's been around for years,
And I could see this is a good wallet with various features, including export private keys, right?
You need to advertise - spread the words about this bither wallet.
I will download and test this wallet for sure, but may I ask some questions afterwards?
- it seems that I can send-receive bch through bither wallet? Or it just works for bitpie in order to transact bch.
697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you decide when it's time to sell? on: August 24, 2017, 03:33:53 AM
Nobody wants to be monitoring the prices all day with the cursor on the sell button just waiting to click the mouse, so how do you decide when to sell?

If you set up an open order with a low target price, you'll be disappointed when the price climbs well above your target price.
If you set up an open order with too high a price, you might not sell at all.

What's your strategy?

The first thing is, I have to check whether this coin could reach certain price, depends on market reaction or how much it could attract investors. Read some news, join into slack channels and all of their social media in order to get latest information about next development. Then, to decide target price to sell by using your prediction and intuition, just set certain amount of profits that you think it could be achieved. Instead of monitoring the prices all the time, you can use trading bot to execute the orders.
698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price BTC after 23 August? on: August 23, 2017, 11:58:27 PM
How think what price BTC will be after 23 August?

I think $4500

Today is 23 August 2017 and Bitcoin is currently selling at $4214.90

Source: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/

The price may increase in the future but not for now because there is so much fluctuation in the market.

Today is August 23th, and current price is $4126 on preev, tomorrow its price may increase a bit within $100-$200.
Well, segwit will be activated after 11 blocks https://coin.dance/blocks?update, and this is another milestone in bitcoin environment. Hopefully, bitcoin could attract more people and merchants to accept bitcoin payment and gain more value if segwit really works.
There are 7 days left before we're move to next month, I guess bitcoin could reach another ATH, maybe around $4800 in the end of this month.
699  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-8-232]Analyst Projects Bitcoin to Hit $7,500 on: August 23, 2017, 11:14:04 PM
Let them calling themselves as analysts, it's better than claim as a bitcoin expert. Grin
At least we could judges their predictions, and $7500 isn't bad at all.
I expect bitcoin could reach $5000-$6000 after segwit be activated and fall down on October or in early November just before hard fork be implemented, but if bitcoin turns out to be over $7000, it's even better.
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WeiMixer - Ethereum Mixing Service on: August 23, 2017, 10:28:28 PM
People need more information before trust your service, some questions;
- there's no any alpha test? You can send 0.1 eth to some people here and test your mixing service.
- how do exactly this mixer works? Just like sending new eth to people? Do you mine eth? Or you have eth mining pools?
- max amount that you recommend to mix eth? As you've mentioned it ; In case of sending a higher amount than the recommended
max amount you will just have to wait a few minutes longer.
