A few GPU tests Sapphire 5xx. A few successes, but one problem. This is my tests, But I have a little problem. The signature for the modified bios driver is ok. But it does not work at the same time 570 with 580 on one motherboard. If the 4x 570 works and re-sign the driver, the 580 runs but does not run 570. Simply, it works either it or it. It does not work together. Does anyone have any advice or idea? Maybe a new Atipatcher? Can you share your BIOS settings or anything for MSI Z270-Pro A i cannot get it to work with 6 GPUs. RX 570 |

Good evening,
I RMAed my biostart tb85 because I thought it was defective. On simplemining I could not get the card 0 (PCI 16 slot) to run over 8 hash. I tired this with multiple cards so I know those are fine. BUT the new board is now doing the same thing. All other slots are getting 25 hash with no problem and ran for over a week without any errors. With 5 cards it runs fine but as soon as I plug in the X16 slot that 6th card runs awful. Any help would be great!
Settings:
-Stock BIOS
-No overclocks
-Power level 5
Also note:
On simple miner I cant get the core or mem clock on GPU 0 (X16 slot) to go over 300/600 even with stock clock and mem settings in place.
Can you test PCI-E Mode to Auto, gen1, gen2 and see if it will help ? Also i just tested MSI Z270-A PRO. It is working under my OS with 6 GPU. I had to make some adjustments and the newest image (RX) from simplemining.net page is working ok with this board  Just wanted to let you know. Tytanick can you share your settings for MSI Z270-A Pro i am trying to use it on simplemining.net however it does not work for me. I have 6 RX 570. Let me know any specific BIOS mod and settings thank you. I can use 3 cards successfully however with 4 I get Mutex lock error also when I enable 4G decoding to Enable in settings the screen just crashes and has multi color. Thank you |

Hey guys can any one help me with MSI Z270 Pro A Bios settings? I was able to install manually 6 GPU RX 570 using the technique described in earlier posts. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130993However when I boot up it only recognizes both cards in pcix16 slots and doesn't recognize pci x1 cards When I enable an option in BIOS for Enable 4G Encoding Yes and PEG to Gen1 Windows gives me blank screen. Without it boots up an i can see all 6 cards but only 2 are working with Drivers. I saw a posts by a member regarding MSI Z270 6 GPU working however I cannot find the same posts again [believe me I have searched] they had a link for newegg link thats what i used to purchase however I cannot get the damn thing working with 6 gpu. I assume this includes the 3 batches IN July in this 15 th figure? or not sure? Well...time to pay down the equip debt I guess. I been in crypto world since 2011 -2012 on and off.
4 months ago i sold some old Radeon HD 7870 few of them from old gaming pc for $175 total. I really didn't need the cash so thought I buy an ASIC [my first Asic for Litecoin] Always been a GPU miner. I found some one who was selling A2 Dominator 66Mh/s [few chips were not working] for buy it now for $250 with shipping the only problem was it was unprofitable at 1100 watts power draw and LTC at $4.15.
luckily one of my friend had free electricity [He fixed his monthly bill unlimited usage] so I decided to pull the trigger worst i would lose $250 and learn something other wise told my friend I would split the revenue with him 50/50. at that point it was making 0.4 LTC per day and i we would earn measely $1.60-$1.75 . Mined it hard for 1 month on litecoin pool and I was so concerned with recuperating my cost that i sold the LTC as soon as they were mined made about $150 not bad.
Long behold LTC spikes to $14 at that same time Bitmain announces L3+ i knew that the difficulty would spike so I sold the A2 Dominator back on ebay for $400 [ the guy who bought it is making $140 a month] go figure.
Didn't make much didn't lose much had lots of fun made few friends and learned a lot.
Oh almost forgot bought 1 L3+ on hashnest for $1895 sold half of hash back on market for 0.29 LTC per Mh/s to get my original $2k back now left with 268 Mh/s left on hashnest just gonna let it run until it stops paying and going to hoard all of the litecoin.

Wow such greed from Bitmain, glad i sold my miners at around .25LTC/Mhash a few days ago since it crashed down to .2LTC/Mhash instantly after these became available. I expected new miners to come in stock at Hashnest but not at this price  Looks like all the 1000 miners on sale for $3k each are already deployed on network look at the network hash rate spike it already did by 500Gh/s so they take your money upfront make you wait 3 days before activating for you while they mine 1.3x1000= 1300 LTC = $39000 extra. man its really smart. |

So last Friday I hooked up five of these L3+ for hosting, powered off DPS1200 server PSU on my breakout board and nine cables.
Within a couple hours, one of them had set the breakout board on fire. I thought maybe it was a PCB flaw so I replaced it and the melted cables.
So then on Tuesday another board burned up on a different miner. And this morning I came in to find a third board burned up on a third L3+ on another shelf.
The same boards, from the same PCB batch and assembled on the same day, in the same hour, are powering S9 and T9 miners off 1500W PSUs in the hottest part of the hosting room with no problems at all. I've been building breakout boards for over three years and hosting miners for almost as long and had never seen a board burn up before last Friday.
So what the heck is going on with these things?
Thats crazy I have used DPS1200 with the X-6 adapter not for L3+ makes me nervous i think i am going to get the recommended AP3+ from bitmain or ebay just to be on the safe side. |

How do the pools setup work? why are there 3? does it switch?
Bitmain has traditionally used a "rollover" setup on pools, so that if pool 0 is down the miner will use pool 1 and if pools 0 and 1 are both down it will use pool 2. They normally autoswitch back to a lower pool number when it comes up, IME with the S5, but it might take several seconds to a minute to do so when it does so. IMO those folks asking $3500 are way high on their price - I could see charging $2000 as a "available now" surcharge but IMO $3500 is a blatant eBay-level ripoff. It generates $55 in LTC a day at the moment. Time is of the essence. Anyone who sells for $2000 now is a fool who can't count. Yeah No one is selling for $2000 if they do please PM me i will buy all you have, even if i have to mortgage my kids [j/k] lol... I think the current rate is around $4k for that machine and thats fair because difficulty will rise for sure and you are looking at around 3-6 months on ROI |
