681  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: November 11, 2023, 03:10:20 PM
It is a great initiative no matter how it goes.I don't know if many people will be able to quit gambling for good through your site but a sure thing is that it is better to have this site than don't have it at all.I don't agree though that addicted people cannot go to responsible gambling first and I speak this from personal experience as I was once heavily addicted and since then I have switched to a preset budget which is the same as responsible gambling, meaning I only play this budget now which is money I can afford to lose and I feel good doing this from some years now.
Definitely a great one but I do believe that their website could do more cleaning because it still looks like it's still 2003 and it looks to me like those old health magazines with pastel colors, if only I am knowledgeable in web developing or something related to creating website, I would've been able to offer my help for you although it's probably going to take me awhile to do it. That's pretty quick work of you to go from being heavily addicted to gambling then suddenly becoming a recovering addict by just having a set budget which I think is admirable but at the same time make me a skeptic that it's a possibility.
682  Economy / Gambling / Re: Guide for newcomers Start a fun and profitable gambling entertainment journey o on: November 10, 2023, 11:39:34 PM
I think a guide for how to have fun gambling is a good thing. A guide on how to gamble profitably is pushing a pipe dream on people. Always remember that gambling is a form of entertainment. Not much different from going to the movies. Imagine thinking you can go to the movies and walk out with more money than you came in with…
That's kind of ironic that there's a guide on how to have fun when in a sense, having fun in gambling is a subjective thing so I guess I don't see how it's a good or fun idea to have a guide. And I think that having fun in gambling kind of sounds like something that should already be known by anybody already since it should be a common sense to have fun if it involves something like gaming or gambling. That's a good analogy but a misleading one because there's more people that's going to that movie that's losing more money after they leave.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What lies ahead for Bitcoin in the coming days? on: November 10, 2023, 10:15:08 PM
I think, the price of Bitcoin will hit higher more than what we are experiencing from the crypto market now, that made the price to change to another level to change the mind of those that said bullish season will not appear before the end of this year 2023.
Well, that's obviously going to happen so it's only a matter of time what happens next, so it's in our best interest to just continue accumulating more bitcoin as much as possible. I have to disagree with you about this one though, this isn't the bullrun yet per se. It's more of a combination of historical price expectation, halving anticipation, and the expectations of the market on the ETF decisions so don't be discouraged yet not buying now because it's not the highest peak nor the start of bullish season yet.
684  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can anyone help me please to withdraw money from my blocked Binance account? on: November 10, 2023, 03:51:00 PM
Am sorry you may not have anyone help in this condition, first reason being that you're not giving the full explanation of what happened, second is that you're dealing with a centralized exchange, no one can contact them on your behalf than you yourself, thirdly, try to know the reason for your denial of access to the account and fulfill the terms, which i believe is more likely to be kyc related issues.
Understandable concern but I can probably deduce why OP isn't sharing any details yet, I feel like OP is trying to make sure that there's someone that's going to answer that they have the ability and capabilities to do what he/she is trying to ask, if I am right about that deduction, I still don't think that OP should do that and that it's probably best if OP does share it now. I don't use Binance I am not familiar as to why they will block your account but given that it's a custodial wallet like app, I think that it's likely a KYC related incident. Hopefully what everyone's thinking the problem is will be the actual problem because it's definitely going to be a headache when that's not the case, might have to prepare for unforeseen results of recovering the money from your account which although unlikely might be a bigger headache for those that's going to fixing the system.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holding for long might not be the best option. on: November 09, 2023, 09:09:48 AM
What do you mean by long though? What is the timespan that you're talking about that you consider to be long? Because time is relative for anyone and our definition long is a variation so I just want to ask the specific length of time. Maybe this kind of mindset of being afraid to hold your bitcoin for a long period of time is probably rooted in the fact that they're probably too focused on their bitcoin investment in that they don't have any other means to make money so they try to get profit at a short-term to sustain their daily needs.
My suggestion to those who haven’t been around a long time or don’t understand WHY Bitcoin is valuable is this… Think of Bitcoin like a subscription service or a union. You pay your dues monthly (stacking coins) to be a member and in turn you get to be a Bitcoiner. When the shit hits the fan you will be protected and have the ability to spend. That’s what you’re paying for. Talking about trading to get rich is like saying you’re going to keep cancelling and signing up for Netflix to get rich. It just doesn’t work that way.
I would agree with you about the union part though, your contributions will eventually pay off because you know that they're going to have your back. Subscription though, I feel like that's not how bitcoin is, subscription doesn't imply that you're going to get anything back out of your subscription fees from that services, bitcoin is more akin to a doomsday prepper saving tons and tons of salt, it might look stupid now but when everyone has a bland meal when the apocalypse happens, salt will be worth more than gold.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wedding expenses and party celebrations with Bitcoin money. on: November 09, 2023, 07:45:21 AM
That's an awesome story, using your bitcoin to fund your wedding and make sure that the people who've attended your wedding will have a good time. I don't know if this is just me but I feel like these kinds of testimonies or reaping of the bitcoin profits is such a rare kind of post here in the forum. It's as if people are afraid if not ashamed to show what bitcoin has done for their lives which I can get given that we should remain anonymous and that we should be careful about sharing stuff online but I think that we can make some leeway for that and hope that we can see more. Make sure though that the story you're sharing is worthwhile like this one, not just shitty ephemeral happiness inducing event.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investing plan on: November 09, 2023, 06:55:44 AM
I don't care how you plan your investment strategy is but I implore you to just put all of it to bitcoin, be it DCA or just putting all of it in one go, just buy bitcoin because you're better off playing safe with your investments plus it's better if you aren't that frantic about investment in case things in the market isn't in your favor because with bitcoin, you can be sure that you are investments won't go down forever like a lot of shitty altcoins. But you have to understand though that for your investment to bear fruit and you can reap the profits, you need to be able to HODL for it on the long-term.
688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First buy Bitcoin as a newbie, good way to start. on: November 09, 2023, 04:02:22 AM
The best investment for beginners is to invest and hold Bitcoin. We have seen many cases where many investors got hurt and lost money by investing in altcoins. That's why these things are important for those newbies to know when they are interested in investing. When interested in investing they need to acquire good knowledge and the best and profitable way to invest in Bitcoin. If one plans to invest in any altcoins other than Bitcoin, one will surely suffer in the future. Of course, these are the most important things to a new investor, who should start with Bitcoin when he starts his investing journey. And before investment, it is necessary to know better about the wallet, it is important to know where the money will be safe, and we all know the risk of keeping money in the exchange, so we should use a wallet with security. It is most important to invest bitcoins in a good wallet and keep its keys in a diary or a safe place for maximum security.
That's because those people that bought altcoins as a beginner wanted to try something different, they probably saw bitcoin to be a little bit intimidating especially in prices so they want to make bang for their buck and try cheap shitty altcoins so they can have the illusion of getting the right value for the money that they've invested. I totally agree that bitcoin is the best investment for beginners maybe even veteran investors because of how powerful the influence that bitcoin has and it's ability to continuously grow despite resentment from many traditional investors.
you can also try what the others have done, they quit their bad habits and convert into bitcoins instead. we have such wonderful stories as the one who quit smoking and used the money he spent from that to buy bitcoins and he hit the jackpot when he reached the bull runs with months of preparations when he bought those bitcoins at its lower price. It's not always need to start with a big amount rather with constant investment in a small amount, you will build a legacy in your investment when you hit the jackpot like him.
This is actually an awesome thing and a heartwarming one, converting the money you could've spent on your vices into bitcoin is something that not a lot has think of in terms of recovering from your bad habits.
689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Never say your recovery seed or private key out loud! on: November 09, 2023, 02:49:14 AM
It's funny how we're starting to mistrust our technologies. But I guess that's just what we need to do in order to protect our privacy. If only we can avoid all of them. I remember the scene in the movie Snowden in which Edward has to hide inside a blanket whenever he types his login information. Eyes and ears are always around us. Unfortunately, however, our smart phones and computers are precisely what they are. To a non-techy person like me, sometimes it makes me paranoid.
That's the fruit of us being too complacent and giving the government and megacorporations too much power over the stuff that we as a consumers consume and now they got us by the balls and we aren't doing anything about it, I guess we have to be wary of our devices but if you're cautious about what you put online and what you do online then you're probably going to be just fine. Dude, even the techy person are paranoid like you because they actually know how those surveillance stuff works and how easy it is to do that to an individual phone let alone an entire network of people that's connected to the Internet.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if some country decides to pay pension to working population in bitcoin ? on: November 08, 2023, 04:36:40 PM
There's nothing will change if they get paid in Bitcoin, it's a currency 1 BTC = 1 BTC.

Don't ask me, I only one from hundred thousand(s) or million(s) of people.

There's nothing difference with get paid in fiat.

There are four thread had been created, yet you still want to add it one more.

1. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5473225.0
2. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5449807.0
3. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2836251.0
4. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5453260.0
5. Your thread.
Man, this is what happens when your signature campaigns have a strict ruling. People just reply to the same topic from different OP and end up spewing out the same thought because there's not much that changes from it, with this much people talking about retirement that's entirely paid with bitcoin, I'm a little bit happy that people are considering bitcoin for their retirement. I have to side with you about being paid in fiat in my pension because it's much more stable than bitcoin so it's the safest option but I guess having bitcoin put into your retirement savings seems kind of a nice addition maybe not as a total takeover.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting losses, Take a break and just focus on Bitcoin. on: November 08, 2023, 03:30:10 PM
Bitcoin trading is also very risky, although altcoins are more volatile and riskier. Just tell him to hold, that is the best for now. I have traded bitcoin and altcoins, they all have their own risks and they are all for experienced traders. I remember a time I was new to trading, I traded bitcoin with leverage and I lost so much.
Better off trading bitcoin because there's a guarantee that you're not going to lose money in the long-term comparing that to altcoins where you don't know whether the developers are going to go with their promises and that they won't do a rugpull on their new altcoin which happens most of the time with these people who just want to make a quick buck and not really invest in the project or deliver the promises they've given in day 1. If you can, try to avoid altcoins or if you can't avoid altogether then make sure that the people in the project of the altcoin have the proper credentials or even be able to do what they say they can do.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not perfect, and that's okay. on: November 08, 2023, 02:57:10 PM
I guess this is the price we have to pay if we really want freedom because true freedom means that you can do anything no matter the moral implications is, so yes in a way bitcoin isn't perfect because it doesn't have a binary outlook on moral stuff, it's a grey area kind of thing where everything is permitted. You don't have to say that bitcoin isn't flawless, people already know those stuff and reminding them about it isn't really doing anyone any favor because it's not like they can't do much about those flaws.
693  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet is safe for long term Bitcoin storage? on: November 07, 2023, 05:57:16 PM
I've asked many people, big and small, which wallet bitcoins are the safest to store long-term.
Many of them said to keep Bitcoin in Binance Account, Ku Coin Account, Trust Wallet. Now my question is if I keep my bitcoins in these wallets will I be able to use them whenever I want and will it be safe.
Are there other wallets where bitcoins are most secure?
I want your opinion.
These stuff that you've listed isn't the best of them all, these are temporary wallets for when you don't have a lot of bitcoin, check out the story of Mt. Gox so you can understand why people in this forum are afraid of storing their bitcoins in non-custodial wallet. As many others have said time and time again, "Not your keys, not your coins." Regarding the best kind of wallet for storing bitcoin, you can never go with cold wallets or any wallets that you can store in an offline storage.
694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Feeling more comfortable while integrating into the forum community on: November 07, 2023, 05:17:08 PM
Regarding the first one, you don't have to worry too much about the grammar part too much, as long as you are doing you're getting your point across then you're doing just fine, maybe consider grammar if you're an active participant in a lot of discussion, it helps but it's not a voluntary thing for you to be grammatically perfect, being perfect might even get you scrutiny for using an AI because of your too good to be true posting structure although it's not a taboo to use a grammar tool like Grammarly. Number 3 and 4 is going to be difficult for newbies to do because let's admit it already, a lot of people that have recently joined this forum aren't just here to learn about bitcoin and anything related to that, they're here to try and make money because they've probably heard that someone has been in this forum making money through stuff or they have a friend that's been in this forum for a long time now and they want to get into too and try it but then find it difficult to do because of the merit system.
695  Other / Meta / Re: Signature campaign as a creation of bitcointalk on: November 07, 2023, 03:47:31 PM
What makes Bitcointalk unique, is the level of freedom we get. Of course, it also helps that the forum owns $40M. Most other forums rely on advertising, and advertising in signatures would compete with the forum's own income. Bitcointalk doesn't have that problem.
I was supposed to be surprised about signature campaigns not being a thing that's started here in the forum but then I've read that this forum owns 40 million USD, talk about surprises. I do know that there's a lot of donators in the forum and that it's around a million at least but what I didn't know was this is the amount, are they all from donators to the forum though? And what are these insane amount of money used for?
696  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com Account verification Level 4 on: November 07, 2023, 02:54:14 PM
You have broken their rules and that's why your account got banned and I don't think that anyone will be able to help you to get back your account unless Stake team gives you another chance which is unlikely to happen. It's always recommend to read the T&C of a casino before doing any gambling activities on their site and you broke their T&C which resulted in your account getting banned.
Is it Stake's right to withhold the money from the banned account though? That's not the way it should be right if yes is the answer to my question because that's basically stealing someone's money with just extra steps. Now I don't care about the T and Cs of any casinos but wouldn't someone be able to take out their money without any problems? Can someone explain to me why casinos get away with this horrible practice and how is this a justified thing to do to people because that's still money stucked in a banned account. Make me understand why that horrible practice is a thing.
697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Would you Like Your Pension Paid in Bitcoin? on: November 07, 2023, 02:23:57 PM
No bro, what I'd like to happen is the other way around, to have my pension be paid in bitcoins and be able to convert that bitcoin pension fund into fiat when I claim it at my local social security branch and given my belief in bitcoin that it's going to eventually cross the million dollar price point somewhere along my lifetime, I think that it's a win-win situation for me to do that but on the flip side though, some financial advisor would probably say to me that it's not a good way to save up for your pension and I do agree, even if you have a solid belief that bitcoin will never crash or be gone in your lifetime, you can never be wrong when you're playing it safe, always diversify.
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fund for Bitcoin promotion on: November 07, 2023, 01:05:57 PM
I don't believe there's anything like that in existence because bitcoin in my opinion doesn't need to be that badly advertised. In a sense, this forum actually fits your criteria, the forum's got donators that help keep the lights on for the forum and many other things although this forum isn't technically an advertisement group, it stands as a pillar for the bitcoin movement especially since this was founded by Satoshi the bitcoin creator himself.
699  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Simple Yet Powerful Message That Will Always Hold True on: November 06, 2023, 08:08:36 AM
The message is lacking.  An investors need to learn about Bitcoin and the market movement.  Buying Bitcoin without knowing the market movement may make the investor end up buying at the top price.  This will render them to get paper losses and may take years to recover.  The advice on stashing it on the non-custodial wallet is a great advice but jumping into the Bitcoin market without any strategy or plan in mind may be disastrous if the person is just looking for a short term investment.
What you're trying to add right now, I think that it's going to complicate things, do you know about the adage one step at a time? I think that we should just let the beginners or newbies to experience first hand buying bitcoin, worrying about the prices is just a step I think they have to know when they finally bought bitcoin. Overwhelming them with all the unimportant stuff when they're just beginning with their journey will likely dishearten some of them.
700  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin, when to buy on: November 06, 2023, 07:03:38 AM
The best time to buy bitcoin would be the time when bitcoin price is freefalling or during the bear season, I mean that's the time when people are panic selling hoping to cut their losses or just panicking entirely because a lot of them don't really like their investment going down in value. For me and maybe other logical people out there, that's the best time but you have to understand that when you buy at that time that the prices may continue to go down which will challenge your fortitude and mental endurance and if you know that you can survive that, you have to also know that you should just buy whenever you can and not wait for the lowest of that bear season because no one knows when and where it will bounce back.
