702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Criticism Coin Cloners.. Deal with it ! on: April 13, 2014, 01:23:52 AM
Criticism.. Learn to accept it or don't even bother posting your clone coins so called dev's.

I am long fed up and thoroughly sick and tired of you coin cloners posting garbage here,
then trying to make anyone who asks any critical questions into some kind of monster.

No respected coin dev should have problems being confronted with criticism.
If you can't handle it i have no choice but to assume your scamming in some way with your clone coin.
An honest person acts honest..

hehe nothing against you Spoetnik but your new threads are starting to be as plentiful as the new coin threads.......
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Official] Cryptsy News and Info thread (Cryptsy Chat is BACK) on: April 11, 2014, 04:48:02 PM
Simple question:

what makes Cryptsy to decide not to put a new coin in the voting system?

We will add any coin requested but its a manual process at the moment. We will streamline it so they get on the list faster.

Pesetacoin has been asked at least 3 times, plus there is a big post in your forum about adding it, and never a reply was given.

It is on the voting list.

Great response on the Mining contracts! Over 53% sold in less than 24 hours.

Mining Contract 1 Description

Bitcoin Mining Contract #1
This is our first issuance of mining contracts for Bitcoin with a total hashing power of 10Th/s.

What is a mining contract?
For this offering, we have 10 Th/s of hashing power dedicated to mining bitcoin which is part of a much larger network of hashing power. This means more consistent payouts of blocks mined. Every day, users who own shares of this will receive 1/10000 of the payout for each share owned. Users can buy any number of shares available (each share represents 1 Gh/s of hashing power). These are lifetime shares, which mean they never expire.

How much do I get paid and when?
The 10Th/s total hashing power is part of a network of over 1 Ph/s. On a daily basis we calculate and distribute to users who have shares of this contract 1/10000 of the total contract payout to each of the shares. If you own 100 shares, then you will receive 1/100 of the total contract payout.

Can I sell my shares?
Yes, once the initial allocation of 10,000 shares are sold we will open the market to allow anybody to buy and sell their shares.

Who is providing the mining?
Currently the provider has asked us not to disclose this information. You can be assured that we would not do business with anybody who is less than reputable.

What is a lifetime contract?
This means that it isn't a term agreeement like 1 year. You could continue to hold these for multiple years. There will, however, come a time where Bitcoin difficulty has risen to a level where 10 Th/s is no longer producing very many dividends. We anticipate a full rate of return within 12 months or less with shares still having value at that point.

Mining Contract 1 Specifications

10 Th/s Total Mining Power
Lifetime Contract - Payouts on this contract never end
Available in increments of 1 Gh/s
Total Shares Available: 10,000
Initial Price: 0.0185 BTC Each
No Trade Fees Until Initial 10,000 Shares have been disbursed
Daily Mining Payouts Directly To Your Cryptsy Balance
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Official] Cryptsy News and Info thread (SHA Mining Contracts added) on: April 11, 2014, 02:07:05 AM
I compared some numbers its about in the middle if you were going to go out and buy your own ASIC. Figure 70 dollars ish for 10 GH's for a mining contract on Cryptsy. BFL is selling Jalapenos at 10Gh's for $349 dollars (which consumes electricity and time). A block erupter goes for about $30 for a Gigahash. Where if you had the 10 grand to drop on a mega rig you would save some. Cool part is with these when your done you can always sell the shares to another with little hassle.

Well, this is all good.  For me, this is type of mining.  Easy to buy, easy to sell.  Any chance that you will coin-hop and sell for BTC?

Currently its all SHA mining so its all BTC. I wish it was a GH of scrypt!

Certainly you're aware of this but check this out at coinwarz:

http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/?sha256hr=10000&sha256p=100.00&sha256pc=0.1000&scrypthr=1000.00&scryptp=500.00&scryptpc=0.1000&scryptnhr=450.00&scryptnp=500.00&scryptnpc=0.1000&sha256c=true&scryptc=false&e=Coinbase

Your not interested in the USD equivalent but the profitability is the same.  It has been a very long hope/dream of mine that an exchange would open a mining pool.  What you are doing is one better.  You already have all of the wallets installed and maintained.  Just point your hash farm to the most profitable coin and you can instantly sell those coins on your very own sell book!

Buy out coinwarz and integrate their system into cryptsy and you would be unstoppable.

I am aware. Id also note with the contracts once they are tradeable you can settle into generating coin vs trading to shelter yourself at times. Overall we feel its a great addition.

That is actually a pretty cool. Great job QRK community.

710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin on the brink on: April 11, 2014, 01:11:36 AM
Doge is clearly on a downward path.  Just too many coins.  Kinda sad given its community.  I still think doge may be a survivor from this round of alt coins, it's held up better and longer than many expected, but I don't see any catalyst for a rally despite ongoing stunts and the reduction of the block reward later this month.

Stunts is a pretty strong word for a great marketing and charity campaign.... I challenge you to find a better success story active right now?
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Official] Cryptsy News and Info thread (Mining Contracts added) on: April 11, 2014, 01:06:48 AM
... So rest assured the hashes are real.

If you guys get goxed, or if this isn't real, rest assured I'm also taking that above quote straight to the authorities and, most certainly out of context! Tongue

Kidding, but I think this is a neat way to expand your business.  Does anyone know if this is a reasonable rate?  I mean, is this cheaper than buying my own rig and running it for 3-6 months?

I hope this farm is somewhere with very cheap electricity!

712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: April 11, 2014, 12:59:11 AM
I can give you numerous reasons why some folks knew about coin launches the biggest being some folks started seeing markets open before we had the wallet compiled by incrementing the markets beyond that which was listed. A sorta bug which some folks used to know a coin was coming before we finished downloading the chain etc. Some coins take a day or two to come online numerous technical reasons on our side.

I definitely don't like pump and dumps as you refer to them in fact I like pure non premine coins. Problem is developers of these coins tend to lose interest (they didn't or do not get paid) the phenomenon I have seen is coins with some incentive for a developer seem to have stronger developer and service support. I would be interested to hear from some of the service providers such as block chain explorers, gambling sites etc of the fair coins. Does anyone donate? Where in the premine coins they pay these services tend to maintain an explorer stick around for updates etc. Do I like it that folks don't work for free? No I like the pure ideal that folks do it to better crypto in general. Is this the case? Statistics and numbers are showing otherwise.

Any coin I have stood behind is a non premine so kinda states my standing on the issue. Do I think its fair to discount the others? Probably not anymore though I used to call it a flip flop if you would like. I also dont think its fair to attack folks who want to delve in those coins.

Bottom line I have never swayed from "if you do not like it do not buy it" and you will see the mass of coins being created slow very quickly. One of the reasons Cryptsy allows you to hide any coin you do not want to trade.

Cryptsy will continue to add coins its kind of our thing. As far as our processes being fair or not well we list the most of all..... The mission and purpose of the company was very simple:

Our Mission:
Provide a safe environment for users to trade crypto-currencies with other users in an efficient and easy to use manner.

For those of you that traded over the counter in the old days you know what that means. If you trade on an exchange that became insolvent you also know what that means. Customers are guaranteed to get what they want for the price they want to pay which was not always the case. Whether or not the investment is a good one well that I do not feel is good for anyone but the buyer and seller to decide.

713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin on the brink on: April 11, 2014, 12:29:47 AM
...anyhow crypto will continue to grow evolve and explode.

Just playing devil's advocate here, but "so says the guy who owns/runs the exchange where all the clones are traded..."

and has helped make them as he admitted for example with the coin called CASH on another topic
i have no doubt at all had his hand in others lol
which is not a crime ! ..i am no way saying anything other than it *could maybe be a potential position of advantage.
consider BJ's position with Cryptsy. is there any evidence against saying he done anything wrong with the exchange ? not that i am aware of
but that does not change the reality that people in special positions are in special positions.. it is what it is.

over all i am leaning to agreeing with who i think is iGotSpots's puppet account or something
the guy that randomly pops up when iGotSpots disappears after Trolling on me coincidentally.
usually the only time this guy talks actualy is to pop up out of no where with some slanderous attack on me over my posting of my crypto opinions
which is funny because he just posted what i always post lol
who is is though i don't know all i can do is speculate.. i guarantee i know the guy here with other account names though that much i am sure about..
but its not WHO that matters it's what they say.. and i can't deny Mr Aids here has made rock solid points
echo'ing my views i have even argued with BJ about on Cryptsy chat a few time way back last year lol
BUT
There is merit to what BJ is saying but overall i think iGotAIDS trumps his arguments and wins lol

haha I do miss our debates. Though saying he trumped me "meh" I tend to fight with facts saw nothing in return beyond the fact that its proven that I love altcoins.... Guilty. On that note I also love BTC.... Yes I supported the CASH coin folks (loved the idea) I supported Bottlecaps (made in cryptsy chat), I support Franko love the community and I love DOGE (example of how to focus a community).

Hey guys give this a try support the experiment that is altcoins throw the anti alt efforts into some positive for a coin you like. For you Spoetnik maybe just maybe there will be a troll box again.... You never know.

They will simply revert with a hardfork and continue pre double spend...... Only way to kill a coin is if noone buys it.

100% agree, so now how about you guys stop giving the shitcoins/scamcoins a market?

Some time back Big V said he'd go harder on accepting coins, we'd hope that would happen. You guys barely do any real research on the coins you list.

So like it or not the paid voting system is a big part of attempts to stop the massive flux of coins. At the same time as you know Kelsey were here to serve the customer who also demands new coins. So really the key is tell the customer to not buy the bad stuff and buy the good stuff and we wouldn't carry them. All coins are now vetted in the code by Mullick who moved to Florida and now works in the main office. I'd say hes savvy.

If this thread was focused on promoting good altcoins just think of what you could accomplish. DOGE folks aren't out bashing anyone they are rallying NASCAR fans (75 Million fans) , the entire reddit community (27 million) and working on engulfing more such as a Facebook tipbot. Support the coins you like! Give something back to that community whether its word of mouth programming knowledge something to promote it. We have here 75 pages of hate rather than 75 pages lets get cryptos into mainstream.

Get out and support the coin you like focus the energy on something productive rather than worry about your bottom line.....

I am pretty sure a good stab of the people anti-shitcoins arent protecting any "bottom line", more the shitcoin supporters/bagholders are.
Equally voicing ones opinion on this thread doesn't mean that persons not doing positive to promote cryptocurrencies.

I'm personally investing alot, both time and fiat into getting cryptos into the mainstream (via an ETF), and the presence of too many scamcoins makes mine (and other similar projects) a damn sight more harder.

Certainly at this point in time I'm embarrassed to send serious investors this way.

I don't disagree with the idea that there is way to much silliness but I still feel that this thread being so popular shows that we have the focus in the wrong area. I also know that you are a good alt supporter and mean no disrespect by my previous post.

Can we see some photos of this 10th/s please?

Hmm I suppose you cannot just take our word for it eh. We don't do the mining, it's done through a 3rd party who currently wants not to be named (for various reasons I cannot get into). I can assure you its a very reputable mining operation.

Well, if it smells like a Ponzi and there's no proof it isn't...

Well seeing as how we are based in FL in the United States and that would be criminal activity it would seem a poor business decision to do so. So rest assured the hashes are real.
