701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to call 0.001 BTC? (5 BTC Bounty) on: April 19, 2014, 09:29:32 PM
50 cents
four bits
half a buck

50 Cents? I don't get that.
Four bits? Would be confusing, as there's only 1 value number.
Half a buck? Would 0.002 btc be a buck? If not, would 0.002 btc he 2 half a buck(s)?
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saw this today at one of my local charity shops on: April 19, 2014, 07:49:37 PM
How hard could it be to do, really?
I'm not saying I think you did, but how can you prove that you didn't. :/
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ron Paul says Bitcoin is not "True Money". on: April 19, 2014, 07:47:23 PM
Most humans in general are creatures of habit...anything that threatens the norm is considered bad and viewed negatively.   This is especially true with older generations, as they are the last fond of new changes and technology (unless it deals with preventing baldness or erectile dysfunction)
Yup, and when we're that age we'll surely do the same thing, as previous generations -all- have done. But without change, nothing has the potential to get better. If people are skeptical to bitcoins now, how skeptical weren't people to the internet?

Lol, yeah once we are old and wrinkly...we will probably be clinging on to Bitcoin when there is something new and much better by then.   Hopefully not though...maybe we will be looking back at these forums and discussing the good old days and how we amassed a fortune Smiley
Haha, I'm expecting exactly this to happen, a new currency that's even more superior than bitcoin, and we'll refuse to use it. Cheesy
704  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price at end of 2014? on: April 19, 2014, 07:46:39 PM
I think it will remain within the $300-$600 range throughout 2014.  Bitcoin went through a lot of bad things this year in particular and people are more hesistant about it.  It will take time to heal though I don't expect it to skyrocket again.
No, it won't skyrockets unless we get some massive good news, due to the problems earlier.
705  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Free BTC/DOGE/MINT/KARM Faucet Rotator/Timer! Maximize Earnings! on: April 19, 2014, 07:45:40 PM
Why is the topic self moderated, if I may ask without being deleted?
706  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: April 19, 2014, 07:44:28 PM
Are some users asking questions while high ?
That might be, would it be surprising if the answer was yes?

High on life perhaps and why should I not quote Macbeth Act 5, scene 5, 19–28?
Who said you shouldn't?

No one but should we not try to raise the intellectual climate in this thread?
No, I think we should discuss fart jokes, they're much funnier, aren't they?
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Big Scam on: April 19, 2014, 07:43:57 PM
Op is somewhat right, bit that's just 'cause as bitcoin is not mainstream the dark side is predominant.

darknet market place sales DO NOT exceed legit retail sales.

good luck proving m wrong. and if you do try, atleast use factual statistics... but you wont bcause the statistics of over 50,000 legit businesses outweighs the trades of a couple darknet sites.
Well, people won't close their eyes and pretend darknet isn't a fact when it comes to bitcoins, atleast mainstream people with no deeper knowledge, cause that's what the media likes to report.
708  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 19, 2014, 07:42:34 PM
Have you guys been paid? I've already contacted Stunna via PM, still have not received payment :/

Look, Stunna will pay, if you keep sending PMs it will just make it more difficult for him.
Indeed, stop spamming, it's just another message to go through for him. Patience, patience guys.
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saw this today at one of my local charity shops on: April 19, 2014, 07:42:03 PM
Next Time I walk by I'll go into the shop and try to take a photo of the thing from the inside... as the sign is inside the shop.

The name of the charity shop is "Last Chance Animal Rescue"  It's located in Bromley, London, UK.

And what tells us it's not your btc address?

Op is somewhat right, bit that's just 'cause as bitcoin is not mainstream the dark side is predominant.
Well you can't make it mainstream with that attitude, which is why these posts are just annoying and unhelpful.
712  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 19, 2014, 07:11:32 PM
I really do hope I get paid for the posts between the 17th and up until I get paid as I'll be changing my signature after but right now I don't really have a choice other than to keep the signature so I do actually get paid ._.
If you have followed the rules and kept it till the pay day you should get paid. Smiley
713  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your time machine is here...what year would you like? on: April 19, 2014, 07:10:42 PM
1
1 what?
Year one? Why would you like that?

That would be the time jesus was born?
Yes indeed, but it's more fun to see people posting their reasons and ideas! If everyone just posted numbers in this thread it'd be quite boring indeed.

At least we are done with the people saying they will go back in 2010-2012 to buy BTC
Ah yeah. I'd love that too. Cheesy
714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price at end of 2014? on: April 19, 2014, 06:52:22 PM
$502 on 12/31/2014.
Sadly I think that's accurate.
715  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 19, 2014, 06:51:06 PM
Ritz has stated that they know which users changed their signatures to get paid by Stunna, and they'll be dealt with.

If this is true, than ritz is doing the right thing and will earn major respect for this!
I hope they make sure to name and shame the scammers publicly so they can get their negative trust rating.

I agree, they should be posted publicly, because the people that are trying to double down on the signature campaigns are more than likely trying to scam users in other ways on this forum as well.
Yup, and they should recieve negative trust no matter what.
716  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should i do with my $1100 on: April 19, 2014, 06:48:46 PM
If you want to invest to get some interest , you can give it to me for one month i will return with interest
Ew, are you running your own investment scheme? That's gonna end up giving you bad reputation around here, just warning ya.

lol maybe he was joking.
Maybe indeed. Though it wasn't clear enough to expect everyone to get it, I'm just warning him.

I reckon a joke but you never can tell on here lol.
It's hard when there are people on this forum who would suggest that without joking whatsoever.

Thats true. Lot of scammers here looking to make easy money.
But hell if anyone wants to send me 2 btc I'll gladly promise that i'll do something useful with it, haha.

:O
USD used to do drugs! It's the currency of the devil!
Srsly tho, I would like to see someone do that with a bitcoin.

And answering questions while high is good or bad?
It depends on the situation, doesn't it?
719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do people find my username (SamboNZ) offensive? on: April 19, 2014, 06:16:26 PM
I think the racial term is Zambo, not Sambo !!!
I suspect they're pronounced similarly though?
