Just by the title I thought to myself "No, you can't" before even opening the thread. I'm glad however the issue wasn't that big, and good job getting your money back.

Looking back at those predictions makes me wonder, will the replies in those "will bitcoin worth 1 mil?" threads sound stupid a few years later. 1 million, yeah, it'll probably be as stupid 5 years from now as it is today. If the questions was 10 000, or even 20 000, perhaps it wouldn't. But reading through the sensible responses in the 1 mil thread it's just not realistic.

I doubt Amazon will accept bitcoin lol.
Very unlikely..
I agree with this. I highly doubt Amazon will accept bitcoin soon since bitcoin is very unstable at the very moment. I guess we will have to wait for further notice. Just imagine how much work they'd have to put into it, with the price rising and sinking by hundreds of dollars within weeks. Not to mention all the decimals people would have to deal with for cheaper items.

Here was my email to them. And the idiotic response I got. Subject: Will you be adding?
Comments:I saw recently that Amazon decided not to accept Bitcoin as a payment option. This is extremely disappointing.
I am not clear how the company came to the conclusion that its users were not interested in it. I was never asked? I do a significant amount of buying through your site, and would have singlehandedly added thousands of dollars of revenue via Bitcoin, which I am currently giving to Overstock.com instead (because they accept Bitcoin).
I believe this was a bad decision on the part of your executives. I hope there are upper level people you can forward this to so that feedback from your end users can actually be evaluated, instead of assumed.
Response: Hello,
I'm sorry; Amazon.com does not comment about rumors or speculative news reports.
However, I can assure you that we have not announced any dealings with Bitcoins.
I'm really sorry if this may have caused any inconvenience.
We hope to see you again soon.
Best regards, Kumar B.
------------------------------------------------------------ So much for getting my email escalated to the powers that be. Mister Kumar no doubt hit delete after he misread my entire email. -B- How is that an idiotic response? It's exactly what you'd expect from a major company that doesn't want anything to do with "drug trade currencies" like bitcoins (mainstream view).

Bought 200BTC at $18 more then a year ago, sold it for $80 thinking I made HUGE profit, classic screwup but who would know it would go to $1100
Just like for everyone else thats the tricky part. You can't predict what's gonna happen. In my opinion you still made a good deal, although not optimal at all.

hell to the fucking no, you glorious retards of the internet do not send your bitcoin money to strangers, they will fucking steal it, holy lol will they ever
How do you feel about not understanding the world you live in ? Frustrated ? I can tell by your many lonely days spent talking shit on this forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=226584;sa=showPostsYou should do something with your life. You are going nowhere. Wow, so many insults! 270 posts for nothing to spread the misery When everyone knows that Ponzi is a Ponzi, it is not Ponzi.
Ponzi require lying to people about what they are putting they money into.
This is just another weird lottery, lest ones are going to lose.
Why does a ponzi require lying? Check the ponzis around here, they're honest about being ponzis. You get paid based on other people's investments, that's how a ponzi runs. The last person that invests loses his money. That being said, most ponzis ( all ) run away with people's money when they've made enough. Yes and that is the biggest problem It could be fixed by not allowing newbies to create new ponzis or having escrows, ponzicoin tried escrow then the ponzi shut down Thing is you can't force them to be legit, just like the ponzi owners can't force anyone to invest. If people don't use ponzis - they will disappear, if people use them - they'll stay. Let people do whatever they want, at their own risk. I am not in favor to forbid ponzis games; drugs are horrible but the war on drugs makes it even worse.. I think a few disclaimers and a layer of protection for newbies would be improving the ponzi experience Exactly. I don't think Ponzis are the problem, the people investing are choosing to do so, investing their own money. However there should be some stickies etc and warnings for the new people around here. It's no fun if every other newbie gets fooled by the promise of getting free profits.

Bitcoin is easier than paypal. Paypal is not going to last, they will have to change bussiness model Both Bitcoins and PP have their own advantages and disadvantages. Paypal is affected by high service charge and currency conversion charges, as well as frequent account freezes. But it is considered relatively safe and secure. On the other hand, Bitcoin is cheaper and easier to use. But you have to worry about some one stealing your coins all the time. Paypal is not gonna last? Sources, links, facts, arguments to back it up? That's just an empty statement. Lots of people use Paypal, and as long as they do, it's gonna last.

Yeah you can lose bitcoin quite fast there on dice sites. I like roulette or poker where u can play slow and lose or win money slow. You wil have time to realize to leave the game.
It all depends on how much you bet. You can make 1-satoshi bets just for fun. That's just a waste of time. What's fun in Dice games? The fact that you can win money? Lol. All gambling is exciting imo.

Would be awsome if pbmining would also start a scrypt share pool for litecoins.
I've thought this too, but give em time, focus should be on Bitcoins at the moment which is the primary thing.
