Different cultures, environment and orientation greatly affects the mind of a man. Those who lived hardships through out his life, grow in slums and need money in his day to day life and experience how cruel this world would be if you don't have money would most provably choose money.

Those who grow up that has everything and think that money is only a play thing and a tool for him. Would provably choose her wife. Realizing that money is not everything for him.

it's actually the other way around

poor people learn that money isn't everything

while the westernized people always want to do aynthing for money, just hoarding it up
Definitely agree with this, just because poor people 'need' the money more
doesn't mean they're as driven by greed as those who already have money.

Everyone is human, isn't it sad though that poor people can't get those minimum human rights without committing a crime first?

What crime would they have to commit?
Any crime that would give you a prison sentence. Murder, robbery, rape, which one would you pick?

if I was poor I would rob something, if they don't catch you --> you win
if they catch you --> you still win

you can't lose Cheesy
Why did you not ask a question?!?!  Huh

Probably robbery, it wouldn't really hurt anyone IMO, with inflation how it is. How bout you?
Doesn't all crimes have victims, physically damaged or not?
1184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why the Bitcoin Price Is Rising Today on: April 16, 2014, 04:39:12 PM
So simple terms, its the chinese?

No. It has nothing to do with the Chinese. Amazon yesterday revealed that they actually considered Bitcoin as  a payment option, but temporarily rejected it after studying.

You mean the reason why bitcoin is going up is because amazon considered bitcoin as a payment method? really? China didn't ban bitcoins, that could be a reason..

China doesn't know what they're doing. Ban / not ban / ban / not ban etc. we just have to give them some time.
What are you talking about? They've already clearly stated that they're not banning bitcoins, due to them not seeing it as a currency, but rather a collectable item. However the banks aren't allowed to trade with them, which they aren't with any other 'item'.
1185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crossed 500 USD - Bull Market returns ? on: April 16, 2014, 04:37:46 PM
Today its reached high value after a long time

I don't know what you are talking about. A month ago, BTC was trading at $800-900 levels. Now we are trading at almost half that level. Overall it is a steep decline in the exchange rate.
Well I think he means that we were 3xx-4xx value for several weeks, and now it's climbed 100 usd in 2 days~. Smiley

1187  Economy / Speculation / Re: Run up to $1000 on: April 16, 2014, 04:35:19 PM
What tells you it's gonna happen fast?

everyone and their aunt have been waiting on their sidelines to catch the bottom, everyone convinced they are smarter than the next. like some huge game of chicken. these people *want* to buy. they are frightened. their fear just needs an outlet, right now they are afraid that they are catching a knife, but that will quickly change to the terror of missing the boat.

every move ever is made of that.

Just like the run up from $2 that you lived through.......yeah...that really took off didn't it.......2 years down the line from it of course.

$2 in mid nov to ~$7, 6 weeks later. It's not exactly a slow move up... if that happened today it would put us ~$1200 beginning of june.

That couldn't happen today though, there is hardly anyone left who wants bitcoin compared to back then...

Other factors will decide the value nowadays though.

What a great video. Music aint the same these days and its a shame.
What do you mean Bob music aint the same don't we have the great justin Bieber now?  Cheesy
Just wait 60 years and people will write what you just did, but without the sarcasm.

:/
In 60 years people will say Justin who?  His music can't compete with the greats of history.  No offense if your a Bieber fan I think he is popular because a bunch of young girls and not too much more.
That is not true, you'd hear people say the same about this kind of music when it was current. I'm not a Bieber fan whatsoever, but we remember the music of the 80's, the 70's and the 60's today, and 2070 we'll look back at the music of 2010~ century and remember Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, because they're the biggest pop music of today. Just like we remember the grunge from the 90s, because it was one of the biggest genres of that time! History repeats itself, it does not matter how 'bad' the artist is, just how famous he/she is.
You have to realize there were tons of people who literally HATED Kurt Cobain, and liked the fact that he killed himself, thinking nobody would remember him. Same goes for Elvis. Yet they're still around with their music living on.

Bought 200BTC at $18 more then a year ago, sold it for $80 thinking I made HUGE profit, classic screwup but who would know it would go to $1100
Just like for everyone else thats the tricky part. You can't predict what's gonna happen. In my opinion you still made a good deal, although not optimal at all.

If i kept every bitcoin that I had , when I had the most, I would have >1mUSD at todays prices. Sucks but yeah, I made a concious decision to hedge my risks back then.
Hah, yeah. It's a bit worse for the people who just lost them due to not caring as they weren't valuable at all, now realizing they'd be millionaires.

Well, then thing is, they never invested real money. So it is no that sad actually. Like the guy that had 10000 BTC on a harddrive that he mined 5 years ago on a laptop and then the harddrive ended up on the wasteplant. Not much investment right there, but sure it sucks to lose out on so much money Wink
Ah yeah. I've also had the policy to not invest any of my own money into bitcoins. I can't afford unsafe investments, even tho I'm fully aware I might regret it in 5 years.

This hugely depends on your personal finances. If you have disposable income, why not throw 5% of that into a high risk/high reward investment. The upside is huge and the downside is limited to -100%. If you are also young , then this sounds like a snapcall to me. (It was for me). But be sure to not be emotional about it, and make decisions on fundametials , not panic and price.!!!
That's the problem, I don't really have a disposable income that I can invest in anything. If I had, however, I would definitely consider investing small sums in bitcoins.

In your case, I still think it would be advantageous to put small amounts of money that you receive as birthday presents, xmas presents, etc...into BTC.  It will grow long term, and may also keep you from spending it...
Well, in the end, it's just a risk-reward calculation everyone has to do on his own. I couldn't handle losing a single dollar, not because I needed it or that I couldn't afford to lose it, but it's a principal thing. Therefore ( for now ) I'm not putting real cash into something that
-can- theoretically drop to zero value in days. Even though the probability is low, very low, it still exists.

Most investments can loose more than 90% of their value if it goes really wrong even real estate (new laws, legal fees, revolution or natural disaster), bonds, stocks, art,...
And I have not invested in any of those either. Smiley

It's a tough situation you're in then. But help should be available from social programs
in your country, nobody will give you free money on the internet, unfortunately. And
there aren't a lot of jobs to freelance around unless you're a good writer / got serious
programming knowledge.

Just for a guideline. My posts are usually very constructive, and I am deducting about 10-20% of them, because many posts do not add much to the discussion. If I look at your posts guys, I'd even deduct more than 20 % , you guys look like you post to get posts, not to contribute.

Just saying
And that's the downside of the whole signature campaigning stuff. My previous posts about
it got deleted by a moderator, but lots of people are only posting to make an income.
Payments should be an incentive, not the sole reason you're posting. IMHO.

Indeed. However radio is a bad example nowadays, most radio stations will ONLY broadcast extreme pop-songs. I'm sure you can find some 'modern' music you like however. Smiley

Indeed there is. But you never hear it on mainstream radio (like you say). YouTube is a better source for it. Only you have to know what you are looking for.

Yeah. Atleast they offer related video clips so you get a chance to find something new, similar to what you've already found.
However, services like Spotify offer artist radio functions, where you start you "own radio channel" and bands similar to the
one you started from. Also there are a lot of pre-made playlists with different labels.

Guys just use your common sense and deduct all the posts that could come across as useless "I agree" "Indeed" "+1" "bump" "good post"
"lol" "Hi mr newbie" etc. It's not that hard.
