Stop it, this is the kind of **** that started the China crash, people posting crap on the forums with no sources to back it up.
1142  Economy / Goods / Re: [OPEN FOR BID] UNOPENED - Nirvana - LP - BLEACH - SP34 on: April 16, 2014, 07:45:08 PM
Duuude, rule number one of the Goods section. If you're selling an item - post a picture of it.
You don't expect someone to buy something they've never seen, do you?
1143  Economy / Services / Re: 2 BTC bounty for identification of a person in a picture on: April 16, 2014, 07:44:00 PM
He stole money from me, (I suspect until proven in court) this guy is a pro who goes to bitcoin meetups and claims to be XYZ (in my case potcoin developer) he then uses social engineering to get into a victims computer, he then proceeds to infect all the users that victim has been emailing (knowing a bitcoiner probably has bitcoin friends) and stings them all. Hopefully he probably wont be doing it again (seeing as his picture is out there), but be warned, if you see this guy believe nothing he says, keep all electronics away from him and do not disclose any info to him. By his way of operation I would guess he was a hacker before bitcoin and saw an easy score by going to bitcoin meetups, if anyone else has been stung in a similar way please dont be shy and PM me, we should work together.
I'm sorry if this comes across as harsh but how does one let himself get fooled like this? It sounds unreasonably stupid.

1146  Other / Off-topic / Re: loose != lose on: April 16, 2014, 07:41:37 PM
Well English is not my native, but I know that there is a huge difference between lose and loose.

And I already see people above are posting some loose/lose word games Tongue
And just a though came through my mind:

You can be too loose and lose your BTC

And maybe we can create a definition of "Loosing Bitcoins"

Loosing Bitcoin means:

I'm sorry I don't get it, Loosing Bitcoin means what? A guy with a bitcoin cutout on his face sitting in a staircase?

Sounds good to me!
1147  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitlaunder.com = SCAM! on: April 16, 2014, 07:40:04 PM
Why did the site owner used the word "launder" instead of "mixer"?
It really doesn't sound good with launder IMO.
In the end they're the same thing though aren't they? But yes indeed laundering sounds worse as it's associated with crime. I doubt calling it a mixer would make it "more legal" though.
1148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So what happened in China today? on: April 16, 2014, 07:39:09 PM
I feel like the smaller Chinese exchanges helped manipulate the price.
Why is this, elaborate a bit? Smiley
1149  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 16, 2014, 07:38:43 PM
I'm wanting to carry my posts over into the next month as I've only made 39 posts this period since:

Been very busy lately but might as well as enter again.

Starting posts: 583
Bitcoin address: 12oPBTzXnrsXD6kWoFcZ6tmzxgygpSzp1b

Thanks!

Since it is not set up on a tier system for your post count, it wouldn't really make a difference if you carried them over, or if you were paid out this month (as long as you at least hit the minimum post count for the month)

I thought that we could carry < 50 posts over to the next month so that we can achieve the payout mark then?

I've been so busy this month, so it would be great if I can carry them over Smiley

Why not just make 11 posts in 1 day instead to meet the minimum 50 posts requirement?
Would simplify things a lot for Stunna as well.
Some people find that difficult to do for some reason.  Wink
1150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: any good bitcoin trader accepting PayPal? on: April 16, 2014, 07:37:45 PM
Specoin is indeed a scam, took 1 minute to find out when googling it.
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Damn you Amazon (+Walmart), you'll come round soon enough on: April 16, 2014, 07:36:19 PM
Heads up, check the other amazon thread about mailing them directly! Contribute if you want to.
1152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's tell Amazon that we want them to accept bitcoin! on: April 16, 2014, 07:33:32 PM
Rather than copying this letter, people should each write their own letter as it will have more impact than if they receive a hundred "clone" letters. Print it out and mail it for maximum effect.
+1

letters from the prospective of true customers with all their flaws of not being business minded sound better then a cloned letter
Definitely. Make it seems personal, let them understand that you're people like everybody else and not robots.
1153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crossed 500 USD - Bull Market returns ? on: April 16, 2014, 07:32:43 PM
This bumpy ride is going to continue till a french man dumps his coin wealth to pay his lawyers. As far as I can remember, a thread was made with some kinda blockchain proof, that he is dumping on BTC-e, though I believe he'll split this dumping across the globe. (I wish some exchange suspends FIAT withdrawal when he dumps Cheesy) So, be ready to ride the rollercoaster Roll Eyes
Well well, nothing new with that. Smiley
1154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's tell Amazon that we want them to accept bitcoin! on: April 16, 2014, 07:31:15 PM
As mentioned before make sure you put a lot of thought into what you write as you're taking it upon yourself to represent the Bitcoin community when writing your mail.
1155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Damn you Amazon, you'll come round soon enough on: April 16, 2014, 06:11:44 PM
"A disappointing news?"
Doesn't working at Amazon require any education what soever? Count me in!

Yeah that was one of my favorite parts, also "regarding the Bitcoins"

And then a line lower they say bitcoins again but this time not capitalized. Consistency?

Also "brought this up to our attention" ?

Look I wouldn't be this critical if someone posted that as a post on a forum but that is supposed to be an official communication from a business. Maybe have someone whose first language is English write the letters?
Exactly, it's a formal text and should be treated as such.

Hi Jeff,

Recently i have read a (presumed) quote from you that your customers do not seem interested in bitcoin.

well i am interested in bitcoin and a large amount of my wealth is in bitcoin, compared to government currency. thus i would be tempted to use amazon often if it accepted bitcoin. as the fee's are much lower than having to 'cash out' to a debit card and then using a debit card on your service.

but until the day you accept bitcoin, i will continue spending in excess of $1000 a month on other services, such as overstock.com

yours sincerly,
A hopeful future bitcoin customer

I'd atleast begin my sentences with a capital letter if I sent an email..
1157  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So what happened in China today? on: April 16, 2014, 06:07:42 PM
The 15th is almost over in China; anyone know if the expected bans came into force?

As others mentioned, the ban is just a FUD.
Bitcoin price goes back to around $500 now, after nothing happened in China.
As has already been posted several times above.. Wink

No surprise if they do, banks aren't allowed to trade with them as stated earlier.
