What tells you it's gonna happen fast?
everyone and their aunt have been waiting on their sidelines to catch the bottom, everyone convinced they are smarter than the next. like some huge game of chicken. these people *want* to buy. they are frightened. their fear just needs an outlet, right now they are afraid that they are catching a knife, but that will quickly change to the terror of missing the boat. every move ever is made of that. This. Once the greed of "man I could have bought at 350 yesterday" will be overtaken by fear of "oh my god I may miss this train completely" people start making hasty buy decisions, followed by hasty sell decisions when it turns around on a 5-minute candle, rinse repeat, because human emotions are the shortest route to poverty. sgbett, does not it feel nice being a hodler and watching the things you've experienced twice already unfold on unsuspecting newbies? So much fun It IS a lot of fun, honestly. All these newbs coming on here thinking they know everything. Ahhh, but we were newbs just a year ago. We need to have some compassion. I guess the only thing I can say is that we tried to learn from others mistakes and instead of panic selling just held on through the ups and downs. I can honestly say I am very thankful we have done that! Now we just calmly buy when we hit lows like a couple days ago. It is still a bit depressing when the price drops but I am not too worried about it. The fear of "missing the boat" actually has some truth to it. Newbies would be better off just buying now. We might drop a little, but this is about as low as it is going to get before the next big "bubble" "pump" "ATH" or whatever you want to call it. Today's noobs are next cycle's senior members. By the way, how long did it take to find the address in your Sig?! Well, your forum status doesn't indicate how much you know about Bitcoins, only how much time you've spent posting on this forum.

Tragic news out of South Korea. http://kotaku.com/father-let-son-die-while-he-played-online-games-1562919428He would only check in on his two year-old every two or three days, feeding the child and then leaving to head off to another PC bang (net cafe) On March 7, Chung allegedly found his son dead. He finally disposed of the body in a trash bag and continued going to net cafes and playing PC games. Now who says Games don't kill people?Everybody still says that. Games didn't kill the baby, the father did. as I stated earlier games don't kill, stupid motherfuckers do As I said even earlier than you games don't kill people, people kill people Yes yes I didn't read through the whole thread, only got to the sentence where OP showed how stupid he was.

I'm not currently in China but I was wondering whether it would be possible to bypass the ban which could maybe negate some of the negative effects the ban would have on the currency
All expected that bitcoin will be banned in china on 15 april but it wasnt? SO IT ISNT BANNED ATLEAST FOR NOW.. Nobody with their mind in the right place expected a ban, however most people were afraid of it. However no, it's not banned, therefore the price is rising.

Money does not matter to a man with honor.
You can't buy food or pay the bills with honor. Exactly, the guy is just full of shit tbh, everyone has his price, just some people arn't ready to admit it.

There is a nice way to help poor Ukrainians. Just donate money or necessary items to the Ukrainian orphanages. Do you know how many orphans end up as street children in Ukraine just because the orphanages doesn't have the needed resources? The girl in the above picture died a week after she was photographed. She was just 13 years old. Her name was Yana and the place of death was Odessa, Ukraine. Exactly, charity should be sent to already established organizations, not to some random people asking for Bitcoins with no guarantee where the money will go.

Nah, truth to be told as much shitty music were made back in the days as there is today. We have a tendency to make everything we didn't experience ourselves a lot more glamorous than it actually was. It's the pearls that we remember, not the bad songs, that's why it might give an impression of having been better. Give it 50 years and people will look back at today's music, and they'll make their own forum posts about how awesome a particular song was, whilst shit like One direction and Lady gaga will have been forgotten for 40 years.
I grew up in the '80s and when you turned on the radio back then and selected a random channel there was a 7/10 chance that you heard a great song that was also new (released within the last few weeks/months). Now there's a 7/10 chance that I'll reach for the off button within 20 seconds when not tuned to a classic radio station. And even with classic radio stations you shouldn't listen to them too much because it spoils your enjoyment if you hear the same songs over and over and over. Indeed. However radio is a bad example nowadays, most radio stations will ONLY broadcast extreme pop-songs. I'm sure you can find some 'modern' music you like however.

Paypal and Bitcoin don't mix well. Paypal transactions can easily be disputed, while Bitcoin transactions are final. This brings in a lot of room for abuse. Now with the spreading rumors of mass account bans related to Bitcoin, I think it's not very wise to use Paypal and Bitcoin together.
Has anyone actually confirmed the Paypal "ban" on everything bitcoin related by the way? Don't know, only noticed an influx of threads related to such. Best safe than sorry, right? Oh yes definitely, I would avoid using PayPal. However rumors have been spread before that has hurt bitcoin somewhat and later on being proven false. Hopefully this one will too. But in the meantime it's best to avoid it I guess. Actually, I've seen many cases, before the rumors, of accounts trading BTC<->PP getting banned/frozeb several days after a trade. I think Paypal regard Bitcoin as a payment method and exchanging from one payment method to another (if one of them is Paypal) is not allowed according to their TOS. Ah alright, that actually makes sense.

Maybe they can add to their stash with mtgox's remaining 200k+ Bitcoins. Thats a LOT more likely than the US government making him pay them out to creditors.
At the moment there are 200k BTC + 650k BTC. If you trust the blockchain it is impossible that 650k BTC are lost because of transaction malleability. There is no other explanation from Mark what happened to our money so I have to assume he still controls those 650k BTC. The Japanese could extradite him. He should just move to N. Korea, he'll be safer there.
Why not disappear to some small island? In this case it's time for a bounty to make sure he disappears forever. I cannot let him run with our 650k BTC. I'm sure he's fully aware of the danger he's in though. It'll be very interesting to see what he decides to do.

Today's High: $543.32
Reached $544.999 in BTC-E, before someone dumped 4,000+ coins in a few minutes. Still not much affected, as the prices are staying above $500. Really, someone sold 4000 coins at 544? You'd think someone with that many coins would know that 544 is definitely not the highest price we'll see this month. Right and they could have bought them all back just over $500 and made $160,000 not bad for a days work. However, when they bought them back, shouldn't the price have recovered to previous 544?

Damn even the name sounds like a scam
That's because laundering money is a crime, or at least mostly related to illegally obtained money. In this case, it sounds like illegally obtained bitcoins being laundered.
