Should create black/white picture with sad depressing background and white label : No more than 14 activity per 2 weeks. I think 14 is a bit much per week to be honest, doesn't take long for people to rank up around here, only the -last- ranks are quite hard to obtain. That's true but still. Limitations are quite annoying whatever the field. Meh, as soon as you become member~ you won't even notice the forum restrictions. It's like, 28 sec posting limit etc, really isn't noticeable unless you're deliberately trying to spam, why now anyone would do that. |

Dude, you need to set up temperature controls lol. Set it up in your batch file or config to throttle down if it reaches X degrees or shut it down entirely if it reaches Y degrees. The exact temp depends on your card; I am mostly running 290s so they can take higher temps than other cards. Of course I have never actually had them go even close to the red zone temps because I have good airflow set up. That was what I thought would be the solution as well, who would mine with the risk of his house burning down? |

Its over 500 now , and it can be 2k any time in this 2 month . lets see  I don't think its going to touch this 2k in next 2 months because currently under pressure and need some time for stabilizing in this world of speculation 1k Should be no problem at all , lets hope some big shark come in i think its more realistic if it hit 600$ by the end of the month or next month Yeah definitely. People are overestimating how fast it'll rise at the moment, and it's quite annoying. I'm sure we'll see a rise, but it won't explode unless we get some big news. There wasn't any big news the last time it rose quick was there? Actually I don't know, however it seems far to unstable to just start rising again. MT Gox doesn't seem to be fully out of the picture for one thing. |

There is a real danger of the prices reaching rock bottom. If Mt Gox is actually liquidated (procedures have started), then its assets (including the 200,000 Bitcoins) will be auctioned. Even if the auction is private, the exchange rate can decline by more than 50%.
They're auctioning the 200k Bitcoins? Can you link any source where I can read about this? Seems really bad if it happens :/ |

According to Sotoshi's white paper, it seems that a 51% attack would only disrupt current transactions but not affect the previous blocks.
Where can one find this? I think he means the original paper by Satoshi https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdfHowever I can't find any explicit mentioning of the 51% attack in it. Hm me neither, that's what I thought he referred to as well. |
