721  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to know how many spendable merits are going to expire soon ? on: September 13, 2023, 09:28:01 PM
Merits (source merits) expire only for the Merit Source . Not for general users. Those merits we are getting from the admin as a source do expire. Spendable merits for general users won't decay or expire until theymos decide to do so. I assume you aren't a merit source, so you don't need to think about merit expiration dates. However, if a merit source does not use all of his or her merits, they will expire after 30 days. If these merits are used, then also merit sources get the same amount of merits in a 30-day period.

723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in your country. on: September 13, 2023, 08:08:40 PM
My government is too strict against crypto, so sadly, I won't share my country. Though my government sent a team to El Salvador to see the situation after making it legal tender, But the team provided a negative result, or they really don't understand how Bitcoin works. Then the government made rules through the central bank that using and trading cryptocurrency were strictly prohibited, and anyone found to use them would be punished for that. So I don't expect my government to accept Bitcoin very soon. Even if it is not legal tender, we should make it legal so we can take more benefits from that.
724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the new Apple toys & Invest in Bitcoin, history always repeat itself. on: September 13, 2023, 07:58:04 PM
I fully agree with the OP and respect your thoughts. But unfortunately, a lot of people are not familiar with Bitcoin, but they have been buying iPhones. On the other hand, those who have been buying iPhones actually have enough money to buy Bitcoin as well. It's not necessary to buy Bitcoin instead of an iPhone. Because poor people would never buy an iPhone anyway, it's not a cheap thing. So they could invest in Bitcoin as well if they intend to do so. I just need to become interested in Bitcoin. You can say it's like an addiction to use an iPhone. Like we are smoking and drinking, we can't say to invest in Bitcoin instead.

Any update on post count @The Cryptovator?

Hi, yes. The post count was completed in the morning without delay (a matter of time zone). The spreadsheet has been handed over to the company, and we hope payment will proceed shortly.

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that the campaign manager will be on a well-deserved vacation for two weeks. Meanwhile, The Cryptovator will be in charge for the campaign.
BestChange team will cover up, but there might be some delays with payment processing.

Hope for your understanding.

Cheers!
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to help Best_Change. Good Luck.

If I were the BestChange signature campaign manager (thank Satoshi that is impossible), I would be afraid to leave so often for a two-week well-deserved vacation, leaving @The Cryptovator as my replacement, who has sufficient skills and could pose very serious competition as a permanent manager of the signature campaign.Smiley
Thanks for your nice words. But as the permanent manager of the campaign, the current manager is excellent, experienced, and well-deserving. He has been managing this campaign very smoothly from the beginning, when we thought he wouldn't. But he proved us wrong, and he proved himself right. There were a lot of controversial issues at the beginning of the campaign; those who were old participants knew about them. However, as I said, Best_Change overcome everything and proves themselves trustworthy to the forum. I hope we can walk together for a long time.
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Common Bitcoin ideas on: September 12, 2023, 08:52:25 PM
If the first approach was about being quick rich during the explanation of Bitcoin, these people would regret it later. If Bitcoin wereintroduced properly and described how it actually works, then anyone shouldn't regret it. Because they are aware of how it works. For very new investors, especially those who don't have clear financial knowledge, it might be hard to convince them to make a Bitcoin investment. Because when they notice the volatility, they might be afraid to invest. We have to explain that Bitcoin as a currency exists just virtually, and for a long time we can invest to get profit from that.
727  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nothing compares to BITCOIN, know this and know peace on: September 11, 2023, 09:32:32 PM
Bitcoin will always be the king of the crypto. There are many reasons why any other altcoin won't be replaced with Bitcoin, and the main reason is that it is truly decentralised and community-driven. Thousands of projects have been promising to be truly decentralised. But the reality, as you said, is just to draw attention. We like to gamble with them, and that's how they have been raising funds. It's all about earning money instead of caring about decentralization.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cheapest way to withdraw my money from Coinbase on: September 11, 2023, 09:24:27 PM
I assume you want to make a transaction between two exchanges. So you may withdraw whatever you are holding. It doesn't matter if the fees are a bit higher. Because if you convert it, then you have to pay trading fees. So I don't think it will be very beneficial for you since you have converted twice. We are hopeless here; we always need to pay extra fees over network fees to the exchanges. It's their withdrawal fees that are actually generating revenue.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do we benefit in lies in forum on: September 11, 2023, 09:17:32 PM
You shouldn't be angry, BTW, for what others have been writing around the forum. You may control yourself, not someone else's posts. We know a lot of unnecessary threads have been created on the forum. A few people want to express their thoughts and experiences. Due to freedom of speech here, we can't prevent them. But likely, we can ignore those kinds of users who have been creating bogus threads. Everyone has a Bitcoin story, of course, but it's not necessary to share each story. But keep in mind that from a few stories, newbies would learn a lesson if the story was real and constructive.
730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of advice is worth giving such people? on: September 11, 2023, 09:00:20 PM
I haven't encountered such a situation yet. Though I lost from trading or holding, I never lost to hackers. But yeah, at the beginning, I lost to Ponzi when I wasn't aware of what Ponzi was and how it worked. When I learn, I never fall into any kind of scam trap. I am very careful with my funds, especially with seed phrases and devices. At least I am not going to fall into any scamming or hacking traps. However, if anyone faces such an issue and loses multiple times, Then he should learn from his past mistakes and rebuild slowly instead of giving up.
731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mempool reaches 600K transactions on: September 09, 2023, 07:39:01 PM
I am not sure if all the transactions are real. Because miners would congeal the network by making dust transactions themselves. It won't lose them since they are the ones getting transaction fees. However, if really all transactions are real, then that's a good sign. I don't see anything negative here. Because miners will have great revenue from transaction fees as long as they are increased,
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will the bitcoiners realize bitcoin is just fiat with enforced tax on: September 09, 2023, 07:30:15 PM
Don't compare tax with transaction fees. Tax given from your earnings to the government. Transaction fees are given to miners since they confirm your transaction. Miners working behind the scenes and earning There is nothing to be learned about taxes here. If you don't want to pay fees, then your transaction won't be confirmed anyway, or a lower fee transaction would cause dust on the Bitcoin network.
733  Other / Off-topic / Re: Everybody WILL hear the letters BTC. on: September 09, 2023, 06:50:21 PM
You shouldn't be surprised, because I can't see any BTC BTC signs there. Means nothing with Bitcoin. It would just be a short form of something in their native language, and so on. There would be a lot of BTC abbreviations in the world. Doesn't mean even they are familiar with Bitcoin. As Bitcoin enthusiasts, we may think positively, but in reality, nothing changes. So always be realistic when you see something like this in the future.
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jakarta is in a pollution emergency, Is it caused by crypto mining? on: September 09, 2023, 06:36:51 PM
Can you please share any source of the news where it says crypto mining is causing pollution? I am just curious to read how cryptocurrency mining could pollute nature. As far as I know, crypto mining consumes energy, of course, but how could it directly pollute? Energy sources would pollute the environment, but whether you mine crypto or not, power sources will still generate power and pollute the environment. We can't blame cryptocurrency mining for the pollution.
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Preparations for BTC Halving and bull market on: September 08, 2023, 07:32:42 PM
Make your goal and wait until you achieve it, no matter if you need to wait for a long time. The halving isn't something to push the Bitcoin price, technically. It's just all about FOMO, and we don't know if it will work or not. But we need to stick to our target. So we can make profits. I do not fully agree with the OP because I sell when I have decent profits and buy it back in dips. That's how I have been making money from trading. But I trade very rarely because I wait for the dump and capitalise it.
736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Circulation review on: September 08, 2023, 07:11:53 PM
If you lost your wallet access permanently, just consider it a gift for the entire Bitcoin community. Because your lost Bitcoin went out of circulation supply. Though it won't impact hugely on the price still it benefits the entire Bitcoin community by reducing circulation. It's just a scenario, not expecting a loss for anyone. Just secure your wallet credentials offline and to multiple places. So even missing one other will help. Maintain a personal notebook that could help to recover your crypto assets in case you passed away. So your next generation could recover it somehow.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA'ing isnt a bad strategy on: September 08, 2023, 07:03:05 PM
Crypto investment is always risky either direct investment or DCA strategy. But investment strategy depends on the situation, in different circumstances, investment strategy must need to change in real time. For when when find a sudden big dump, I like to capitalize it. Because its pretty sure we have seen recovery after every big dump. Sometimes it doesn't work perfectly hence crypto investment is always risky. But if I don't invest my full portfolio and continue dump instead of recovery then I apply the DCA strategy. That's the reason we have to make real-time decision.
738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank vs Crypto: Are they opposites? on: September 08, 2023, 06:53:54 PM
It's not about only crypto vs. banks, it's about decentralized vs. centralized. So definitely they are opposites. But it doesn't mean both can't work together. Like the government works with the opposition party when necessary. Banks could collaborate with crypto, but it doesn't mean they will lose their revenue. Rather they would earn additional revenue from crypto collaboration that would make easy solutions for crypto users. At the end of the day, we turn our crypto into fiat. So the bank could make it possible. But they dislike crypto due to decentralization. But I believe very soon major banks will start collaborating with cryptocurrency.
739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is KYC mandatory in CEX? on: September 07, 2023, 07:54:21 PM
The exchange want to know they customer in process of (KYC) simply means know your customer, by so doing that the exchange as well know the actual active users of the exchange in other words to limit money laundering in the exchange and also stopped multiple users in the exchange platform, like wise not participate airdrop with a multiple accounts, one user, one entry point.
This isn't exactly why exchanges ask for KYC actually in my opinion. They are obliged to follow government rules. Because to operate centralized exchanges they must need to get licenses from the government. Money Laundering is just an excuse actually. We have seen exchanges even ask for KYC and proof of source funds. That's ridiculous actually why they should ask for source funds. But most probably legal authorities force them sometimes. Exchange just wants to make ready everything and provide data to legal authorities when necessary.
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoin self custody will help reduce future bear market. on: September 07, 2023, 07:41:51 PM
I am not getting exactly what's the relationship between the bear market and moving funds into a custodial wallet. We should always practice non-custodial wallets to secure our funds either a bear or bull market. Storing funds into centralized exchanges became highly risky after the FTX collapse. That means any CEX would collapse anytime and claim bankruptcy. That situation creates a bear market actually. However, we shouldn't trust any CEX right now, and secure our funds with a non-custodial wallet unless you need to trade.
