Fine to Ginebra fans if they lose that game but if only the game went out close, that would be more fun and exciting.

Manila Clasico is expected to be like that and because Magnolia is currently at the bottom of the standing and they need a win, we can't avoid those people speculating that something wrong is happening.

Either way, that was a win that Magnolia had to keep up with the standings and be alive at the elimination round.
722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 12, 2023, 11:54:12 PM
True, I think Inoue should have not rush the fight for the title, he should have scheduled a tune up fight to have a feel of the power, defense and stamina of the 122 lbs boxer.  By doing that fight, he can have a clear understanding the situation in 122 lbs weight class, and he can have a more effective idea on how to lay his strategy against Fulton.

Disagree. 118 to 122 doesn't really have a big difference. He is even overqualified in this division. It's totally a waste of time if Naoya Inoue will instead fight another opponent at 122 instead of directly going to a champion.

Don't feel that he's rushing things to get a title because this fight against Fulton is really the best and smartest thing to do for him.

Fulton on the other hand might be at the disadvantage here knowing Inoue's strength and capability.

Where are the Patrick Beverley fans at? There's bad news about him as he's been waived by the Orlando Magic.

Actually, that's not bad news since that was already expected, therefore he's expected it too.

There are teams already that show interest in doing a buyout to acquire him.

As far as rumors are concerned, some teams that might be involved are Mavericks or going back to Clippers, or Timberwolves.

I only know Eddie who is owner of Stake from this category, he usually don't wager much but he gambles on stream at Saturday. Afaik, the owners don't play that much for obvious reasons, it is his loss or win so it doesn't sound as cool as other gamblers play, IMO. Investing in the financial markets is best option, so they don't take gambling seriously. Imagine hitting max win and slot pays max win payout from your own budget.

We can't take this as an example because that is done through a live stream and more of a regular marketing park of the Stake.

I'm sure these owners don't really take gambling as their main activity because handling a company is really time-consuming.

Regardless, I do think that it's not a big deal if these owners gamble as long as they are taking properly of their business.
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 11, 2023, 09:51:50 PM

I guess a rematch between Magsayo and Vargas will be quite impossible to happen if both boxers are already holding their own respective belts in their respective weight class.

Wait first on the result of the Magsayo vs. Figueroa match before we can say that statement involving Magsayo. Cheesy

There are also several "what if's" for that rematch between Magsayo and Vargas and those are stated already in the above discussions.

If Magsayo and Vargas will win their respective match, they can probably meet in the future at the 130 if the former considers moving up and think he can able to adopt the environment in that division.

Lots of good things happening for Dallas right now, even if Luka is resting due to injury, their ranking is not affected, in fact, they are slowly going up in the ranking due to the 2 wins Kyrie had contributed so far. The pressure of Luka is now minimize, they'll certainly make it to the playoffs as Irving has a heart of a champion and he'll do everything to make Dallas a great team.

Agree that somehow, Dallas Mavericks is currently on the good track. Luka's demand to the management to at least have an upgrade on their roster is being granted and he was even considered asking for his permission on that trade.

Although Kyrie is known for showing sudden changes in behavior out of nowhere, it seems that he's having a good day playing with the Mavericks.

Hope that consistency of his thinking only pure basketball and not anything else will continue.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 11, 2023, 09:34:16 PM
even if he losses this one, he might have a last chance to go and fight for the belt in other division. This is just WBC, there are still bodies that he is rank.

Not sure about that. Nonito Donaire might only have a clear shot at the WBC Bantamweight Title as he's ranked 1 here.

WBC, WBO, and IBF, he is not even ranked in the Top 3 contenders that's why he might nit be considered to get a title match here.

After Moloney withdrew from their fight, there are no clear plans yet for where Donaire's career is heading to.
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 11, 2023, 09:24:53 PM
In my case I think that if I were the owner of a casino I might gamble from time to time but it would be pointless to gamble a lot, as it would be like taking money out of my left pocket and putting it in my right.

Casino owners are surely business minded and they might not that doing that heavy gambling but instead, will just spend their time focusing on their respective businesses. It's like other big businessmen where the focus is to make money, and not to face the risks of gambling on it.

In my case though, if I'm a casino owner and my casino is really getting big, I won't bother to do gambling now but instead will be hands-on the operation of my casino to run fully and healthy in the long-run.
729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 11, 2023, 09:16:13 PM
About the weight division, it is really a surprise that Thurman agreed to the demand of Spence to fight in Junior Middleweight[1] when the World Boxing council ordered Errol Spence Jr. to defend the title against Thurman[2].  I wonder what drives Thurman to accept the fight in that division.

From my point of view, Keith Thurman is really one of the possible boxers that Errol Spence might fight next, but on 147.

Since Spence considered moving up at 154 and Thurman as well, they decide instead to let the fight happen at 154 instead.

Anyways, their fight at 154 is a "NON-TITLE" bout and just about money-making lol.
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is Gambling? ChatGPT Responses. on: February 11, 2023, 09:01:40 PM
I highly doubt the accuracy of such tool. The reason for that is that MMA is physical fighting between two persons. No AI or app in the world can know the physical form of each of the athletes, the favorite for example may have been drinking and abusing his physical condition while the underdog maybe preparing at the maximum of his capacity and even going further,in such scenario we would see a surprise result in the betting context as the underdog is going to win the match between these two.Tell me how can the AI or app predict the physical condition and behavior of a fighter?Pretty much worthless and impossible in such case for the MMA.

Actually, it's not with accuracy to the point that the program will really predict the winner but the information that the AI program will provide can be taken as a reference. Since the program has wide access to anything, there might be some key pointers that these AI can provide in order for sports bettors to form a good analysis of a certain match.

It's like an improve and upgraded version of a sports pick analysis by some sports websites that provided their respective fearless forecast about a certain match. Using the ChatGPT, might give us more useful information regarding the match but obviously, our pick still depends on our own.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 11, 2023, 08:53:58 PM
Let's wait for the result of this fight and maybe Vargas will not think of climbing, instead, he will be giving Magsayo a chance for a rematch because the first fight wasn't really a unanimous decision win by him, so that will certainly excite the crowd and promoters will love that as it's easy to market the fight.

Actually, Rey Vargas really has a set of targets in the 126 but having difficulty securing even one of those. Instead, he considers fighting for the vacant title at 130. Regardless if he wins or loses there, he still holds his 126 title.

And no, Magsayo is surely out of any Vargas plans but if the former will win against Figueroa and the latter loses against Foster or decided to stay a 126, which I doubt if he wins, a mandatory fight is about to take place between the interim champion and regular champion.

Now, this rematch though may not happen if Vargas will make a climb to the next weight class.

Aside from moving up weight, if Rey Vargas will win his upcoming fight, no chance for a rematch with Magsayo at 126 for a title match.

If he loses instead, he's still holding the WBC Featherweight Title and will mandatorily face the winner between Mark Magsayo and Brandon Figueroa.

But it seems that Mark Magsayo is not really looking forward to a rematch against Rey Vargas but instead will just go with the flow on whoever is assigned as his opponent and will focus there. I do hope that his aggressiveness to get that title again will have the same intensity as when he first grabbed it from Gary Russell Jr. or even much better.

Wait, help me understand about this mate because I'm in the middle of confusion here. If Vargas will get defeated on his upcoming fight which is 2 days from now, why would he still be carrying the WBC title? His fight with Foster is a title defense fight, so if he will lose, then Foster will get it right? And Foster will fight the winner of Magsayo vs Figueroa.

Or did I miss something? Huh

Yes, as I mentioned above, if Vargas will lose his attempt at the 130 lbs title a few days from now, he's still the WBC Featherweight Champion.

Let's say he really loses, the next one in line for him is, will face the winner between Mark Magsayo and Brandon Figueroa.

Damn, what a great game by Converge giving San Miguel Beermen their first defeat in this conference. It just shows that Converge's young guns + their import is really in good chemistry right now and can match with the top teams. That was all thanks to the strict guidance of Coach Adin Ayo who I think will be one of the most notable coaches in the league if he will keep his consistency and is active.

I know others will say it's just eliminations and like what happened the last conference, Converge fell short in the playoffs even playing well in the eliminations. But still, it's a good sign that Converge is always trying to keep their performance level high even against top teams in the league.

It's politics again that play a big role here and that is why Jack C. is being bypass. I would agree that it seems they work this into perfection from behind without Jack's camp noticing it.

And it was noted that Jack already signed a contract and just waiting for the rescheduled date for his rematch against Josh Taylor. There are no stated reasons though why a sudden change of event. Jack's camp is just waiting until Taylor is now suited for the fight.

Damn, I badly want to see their rematch as that was a heated fight. They should settle it once and for all and not by facing other boxers.

Kind of disappointed here if they will meet not instead.
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 11, 2023, 08:21:57 PM
I believe that even if it's already official, the odds will not be available at this early. Usually, the odds are available 1 week before the fight, while on some fights it's a day before the fight, so sorry guys, we cannot bet early on this game.

It's not the most cases. Sometimes there are big matches that are listed early even several months before the fight.

Take the example of the Bantamweight Unification bout between Naoya Inoue and Paul Butler. It was announced if I'm not mistaken around October but bookies, even crypto-sportsbook already listed the fight right away.

If you also look at some listed future boxing matches in some sportsbook, there are matches that are just 1-2 months to go and so. I don't know how's the system behind it but not all fights are only available for betting within a 1 week timeframe or less.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Features in Crypto Casinos for the Elderly on: February 10, 2023, 11:50:13 PM
I just think of this now, maybe consider adding a payment system where direct transfer to fiat is one of the deposit methods.

What I mean is a third-party service that can be linked to the fiat portal into the crypto portal.

In that way, these elders who don't like hassle can purchase crypto on that gambling site directly without the need of visiting another platform or exchange.

Phoenix Suns new contender for championship?

Ayton - Booker - Durant - Paul Shocked

Which team has the biggest advantage after trades?

Referring to Phoenix Suns, we can consider they won their recent trade move since:

a) they got what they wanted (Kevin Durant) without destroying, at least, the core lineup
b) the fact that they successfully get rid of Jae Crowder now which they working for a long already

However, if we looked at the long-term, Brooklyn Nets are a much more winner in that trade since they got those young cores who are currently doing great so far as role players. Aside from that, those 4 1st round picks that the Nets received are truly important and in most cases, might turn into an All-Star or Superstar caliber in their early years of playing.

Maybe the Suns put it all on this season so they gambled as this might be Chris Paul's last run, or taking advantage of Booker's dominance, or expecting Ayton's way of playing might be improved more as another superstar landed on their team.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 10, 2023, 11:37:48 PM
It looks like a rematch against Vargas is difficult since there is no clause of a rematch in their previous fight contract.  Besides it was stated that Vargas isn't interested to fight any boxer that will not bring any benefit from him.  What I am seeing on this action of Vargas is that he is aiming for a unification fight and will disregard any match that won't give him another title.  So I think if Magsayo really wanted to take back his title, he must get another title to make the rematch against Vargas much easier.

Disregarding any rematch clause or what on their first meeting, if Rey Vargas will lose his match against Foster, a mandatory title defense back at the Featherweight division will be ordered for him and that's to fight the winner of the Magsayo-Figueroa bout. Simple as that.

Obviously, if Mark Magsayo wants to become a champion again, he should win against Figueroa and don't mind Vargas for now. Besides, if Vargas will win against Foster, he is likely to push his journey to 130 leaving his 126 title vacant and will be granted to the interim champion. Since that will be the case, Magsayo will now hold the title again if he won against Figueroa.

Just for clarification, I'm not saying Magsayo will win but just giving an example scenario. Smiley
738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 10, 2023, 11:29:55 PM
Farmers who have chickens for eggs especially on a large scale, easily get tired of eating the eggs from their chickens or even eggs in general. Caterers get tired of eating their own pastries, just as people who are exposed to certain produce get tired of them due to over exposure. Do you think this experience is the same for casino owners and owners of sports betting platforms?

Do you think that the owners of casinos and sports betting platform, gamble as much as other people do? If they gamble, do you think they gamble on their platform?

I don't think that the comparison is appropriate.

You used food as an example and obviously, we can't compare eating food to the pleasure that gambling will give.

In gambling, the winning experience is always the hope of anybody. Once a gambler experienced that, there would be no such thing as they don't want to experience it again therefore they will just gamble and gamble.

As for casino owners, that business gives them money therefore they will just manage continuously to keep the operation smooth. The smoother the operation, the more money they will have. We can't compare that experience to the example you have given which is about food.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 10, 2023, 11:24:28 PM
Magnolia dominated the Phoenix, their import this time is better compared to their past import, but overall, it's the performance of the locals that give them a dominant win. Congratulations to them, they are not winless anymore.

Honestly, even though Magnolia playing without an import on that game, they should be able to handle the struggling Phoenix. The gap is just too far in terms of comparing their respective lineup. Magnolia's import Antonio Hester shows he's really a good choice for replacing Eric McGree.

But the question is, can Hester will have the same performance if they will face a top-tier team?

If Magnolia instead still loses in that game, that would be really embarrassing. That game is a must-win and they won it.
740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is Gambling? ChatGPT Responses. on: February 10, 2023, 11:16:42 PM
The main message for me is gamble with what you can afford to lose and seek help if you think it is affecting you negatively.

I do think that ChatGPT's response about what is gambling based on age doesn't really make sense. I mean, regardless of age, the answer will be general. Just look at how the response turned out, almost just identical to each other.

Aside from that, it's no big deal whatever responses we got from that AI. I mean, what for especially if just asking that kind of question?

But maybe, you just considered doing that out of curiosity and just want to share what will be the AI's response regarding that.
