741  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What do you buy/want to buy with crypto? on: December 17, 2022, 11:53:37 PM
Generally it would be interesting to buy electronics using cryptocurrencies, but at the moment I do not buy anything with crypto, and just store it in the HitBTC wallet that I discovered recently.
This is a big mistake if you still store your Bitcoin on that shady exchange, though they're one of the oldest exchanges it seems like they're selectively scamming their users by locking and freezing users' accounts.  The private key isn't with you, it's not totally safe at all.
I have heard also they have high fees when trading your coin in their wallet which is not really good.

But that's good, holding your Bitcoin while there's a bear market is a wise decision.
Good thing there's an online store that directly accepts Bitcoin in your place, in my place, I didn't try this.
742  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How To Recover Crypto worth 78k$ from Stolen Phone on: December 17, 2022, 11:32:32 PM
pin was eassy 1 to 8, i was having more then 130k$ in total back in November i lost 390 xmr in gambling, i was badly depressed and everyone was knew it, lost phone on office but i was thinking that maybe its frank which never happened before, i was asking everyone if they have seen my phone around but i am not sure if it was inside office or i left it in the car and its stolen from my car, stake is empty now so theire is nothing to do with that.
It seems the best option that you have (like the above said) is to contact that gambling and exchange customer support and ask to freeze your account or investigate the login information if there is something like an IP address changed.

For now, there's nothing you can do but just try to recover your email address or accept the possible consequences of losing your fund which can't be recoverable if your fund is in theft hands.

Lesson to learn never leaves any valuable information in your phone.
Encrypt your phone with high security so that if it is stolen, theft can't open it.
743  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Bitcoin nodes? on: December 17, 2022, 11:18:03 PM
Please refer to we're I can join the discussion, or a any thread that have discussed this topic on Bitcoin node.
Google is very friendly to a question like this.
For example,
https://www.watchdata.io/blog/what-is-a-bitcoin-node
https://unchained.com/blog/why-run-bitcoin-node/

Quote
What are the benefits of running a Bitcoin nodes on you personal PC?

Running a full node on your personal PC has lots of economic importance and one scary benefit is that it can kill your computer if it has low memory space. So, it's economical to run a full node on Raspberry Pi than a PC.
The advantage could be, there's no intermediary involved that can improve your privacy or you have complete privacy that surely you own your coin and ensure that your coin is safe.
744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why people are always in a sinkhole situation on: December 17, 2022, 10:59:16 PM
Greediness, that's what they have.

Tell them to read this Bitcoin Whitepaper so that they will understand why Bitcoin was created.
It has a purpose, it's a peer-to-peer electronic cash that should be used in payment not making money machine.  Though some others learn how to store value and store their safe wallet in a long term.  But doubling your Bitcoin hoping it will easy quick scheme, it's most likely a scam.

Bitcoin is one of the most popular coin in cryptocurrency, with this lots of people fall victim to those coin with bitcoin like promises
AFAIK, on Whitepaper, Bitcoin didn't promise anything regarding profit earning.
Stay away from altcoins and focus on Bitcoin.
745  Other / Archival / Re: 2022 was the second worst year for Bitcoin on: December 16, 2022, 11:59:43 PM
2022 is almost exactly the same as 2018. Looking at the history of bitcoin returns year by year, 2022 was the second worst year after 2018:

Yeah right, it seems there's a pattern, and from the year 2014, there's 3 years gap before it has massive corrections.
From 2014, 2018, and this year we aren't sure yet because there are a few weeks left.

But as of now, 2022 isn't yet over, and might there be a big boom waiting in the middle of the month, what do you think?  Cheesy
746  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can we suffer at some exchange due to some of their services' breach? on: December 16, 2022, 11:51:59 PM
Should we worry on every small aspect now that we know that these places are also vulnerable to get attacked not directly but indirectly through the services or various other departments they are involved with?
I think this isn't a small aspect to be worried about, it's a serious topic that could have consequences putting our data at risk when picking the wrong exchange that easily got hacked or when has a security breach.  From the start, we should know this possible outcome, that's why picking a centralized exchange where we entrust our data is quite tricky, or just never using them if this is what you are worried about.  Just accept the fact that it's always vulnerable to hacking all of CEX's platforms even though how tight they're when it comes to their security measures.

Centralized means centralized, doesn't matter how good it is. Using centralized means we already compromised our privacy. Though sometimes we don't lose funds we have been losing our data during the data breach. Even top exchange Binance is not out of data breach. So day by day it's become impossible to trust any exchange whether with our funds or data. There is no solution except dex or swap where we can't find our desired coins sometimes.
I tend to agree with this, quite simply but yet that's the fact.
747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to search wallet balance? on: December 16, 2022, 11:24:08 PM
Thank you that was helpful. Instead of going to "Receive" and copying that address, I went to a past transaction and pulled that address like you said. A balance DOES show up now but it's around half the balance in my wallet. Very confused.
Because this is how it works.
It will generate a new Bitcoin address per transaction successfully made.  So possible, you've copied a newly generated address that doesn't have transactions.  This features the same on the Electrum software wallet which is really safe if you'll change your Bitcoin address per transaction.  It will mislead possible scammers who will track your transaction.

You need to learn more about how Bitcoin works especially Bitcoin wallets.
748  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is there good wallet decentralized app ? on: December 16, 2022, 11:13:49 PM
You can try decentralized Coinomi desktop wallet from British Virgin Islands - www.coinomi.com - with Bitcoin and 1770+ various altcoins, exchange built in, and debit card connected for crypto buying. Wallet do not charge any fee for receiving/sending, only network fees.
I hate this app, to be honest.
The bolded part above is a lie, this is a very buggy app that you need to refresh before it will connect to the node.
I used this before but I stopped using them knowing that they aren't an open-source app, they are a closed-source wallet app which is I think not safe.  I prefer to use an open-source wallet like Electrum which you can verify the app.

Just separate always your Bitcoin from your altcoins wallet, because the safest way to store Bitcoin is only Bitcoin wallet alone.
In altcoins, it could be Trustwallet but don't exchange directly your altcoins on exchange wallet because they used third-party exchange which has extremely high fees that you'll experience for sure.
749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC awareness on: December 16, 2022, 03:50:17 PM
It's interesting, I saw a lot of threads now that come from newbies who have an interest in Bitcoin, it might this was the result of those threads also that created teaching in their neighborhood or in church.

Welcome to the forum and you're in the right place to learn about Bitcoin, just read all sticky threads (pinned post) here.  Just keep reading until you'll learn, as a newbie, it's ideal to spend more time reading than posting here in the forum.

Understand what investment you've in because Bitcoin is very volatile and every now and then it will fluctuate and it might one day you'll confuse seeing your portfolio lose its value.  Bitcoin is the best investment, when it comes to savings it means it's a long-term holding and Bitcoin is very suitable for that choice.
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I don't have enough for bitcoin miner fees. on: December 16, 2022, 03:34:47 PM
Please go to https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,2h,fee every time you want to send your BTC anywhere. Also try coin control features and wallets that allow you to decide fees instead of getting stuck in a wallet that asks you to pay a fixed fee.
This is very important when planning to transfer your Bitcoin into another wallet and also, this.
I usually used mempool upon checking the Bitcoin network status, it's fine to pay $0.2 or $0.3 in a single transaction because it's expected that you need to cover your fees when transferring your Bitcoin.  Using Electrum as suggested above is the best option because you can manually input the fees even if it's 2 sat/vB which at this moment it cost $0.05.  But the problem is it might take a couple of days before it will confirm but unlikely it will not be stuck forever.

I assume that you need to transfer your Bitcoin on an exchange platform to trade it into fiat or altcoins.
So your problem now is to transfer your Bitcoin into the exchange with a less fee.  You can set your transaction into 1-5 sats fees, but don't expect your transaction becomes quick, luckily if it will confirm within 24 hours if the mempool isn't congested because you're in a low priority.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think ive throw money away on: December 13, 2022, 11:49:24 PM
There's a lot of FUD continuing to spread right now regarding Binance, verify it first before making such action.
My question is, why did you send it directly on the exchange, not to your custodial wallet?

Here's might what you do because I've used Houbi once and I know it takes time before it will be credited to your account.
Reach their support, the comment above was right, I PMed their admin on Telegram but make it sure that's the admin, you can ask publicly on their group.
Send a ticket to their support regarding your transaction.

Have you followed this procedure of sending USDT?

IMPORTANT: In the case of coins such as USDT, where there are multiple chains supported (OMNI, ERC20), please select the appropriate chain before copying or scanning the deposit address.

752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason Dogecoin could fail in the future on: December 13, 2022, 11:39:11 PM
I dont think that Dogecoin will fail in the future.
First of all, Dogecoin is one of those decentralized cryptos in the market that has good utility, it runs with a Proof-of-Work algorithm and anyone can earn Dogecoin through the mining process.

Second, Elon Musk holds 2.5 million of Dogecoin based on what heard, so I think that amount will still be there because as we can see this man loves Dogecoin.  So, therefore, there's no reason Dogecoin will collapse or becomes a failure in the future.
753  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance lots of FUD on: December 13, 2022, 11:30:25 PM
When Binance exposed FTX, it's expected that they also faced the same issue because Binance is relatively the same on FTX because they are the same centralized exchange.  This is a big challenge for CZ on how he will solve this, it's natural to have FUD especially if this is true, we have easy access the social media where we also gather legitimate news.

The war of centralized exchange and its drama will mak people awake not to leave their assets on exchange, so look at now, people keep withdrawing their money on Binance.  Recently, Binance exposes to Coinbase withdrawal and now, Binance also faces the same on Coinbase before.  It's normal IMO in a centralized exchange.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We No Longer Pay People Directly on: December 13, 2022, 11:10:12 PM
Those banks are one of the government's tools they used to have the stability of the currency or fiat.
Central Bank is owned by the government and that's all, they want to regulate people's money cashflow through the agencies or corporations involved which we also paid them not directly to the government.

Though your statement isn't so clear but based on my understanding, Bitcoin is the best alternative currency to using fiat.
That's why Bitcoin was created with the sole purpose of the peer-to-peer transaction.
755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep your money off exchange, in this crisis moments hold Bitcoin for safety on: December 13, 2022, 10:44:02 PM
Recent events in the cryptocurrency market have forced a lot of cryptocurrency investors and traders to start moving their funds off-exchange most especially centralized exchanges.
Trust wallet is owned binance, if I use binance and there is crisis in binance, I decide to send my coins to my trust wallet still owned by binance, allow me ask please if it can it be trusted?
It's Trusted because it's an open-source wallet.
But the problem is, fees are based on third-party providers, and also no desktop version which is if you are using a mobile phone it could be prone to hacking.  So, it's not totally safe but this depends on how you will use this platform.  If you'll ask me, a hardware wallet is more secure than this Trust wallet.

But remember that all non-custodial wallet doesn't have the option to recover wallets via customer support.   You're the one who is responsible for your wallet, once it will be lost, it will not recover.
756  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin high prediction 2023? on: December 12, 2022, 11:59:33 PM
When you sell cryptocurrency for less than what you initially invested, it is the only time you will experience a loss. It's quite acceptable to ask for $100,000 in bitcoin before selling. By 2024, it's conceivable that bitcoin may soar to its all-time high, or $100,000. At least by then, the profits from your investment in bitcoin will have completely offset the losses from your investment in alternative cryptocurrencies.
That's right!
Because it will remain 1 Bitcoin if you have 1 Bitcoin in your wallet and there's nothing to lose if you won't sell it.
Never sell under the price where you purchased Bitcoin, aim for your targeted profit when you are planning to sell them.

I didn't hear any news that Bitcoin become bullish by the next sure, so my assumption Bitcoin price will remain and struggle to raise by next year.  But who knows if there's a big activity that usually takes affects the Bitcoin price by the next year 2023.

I may suggest continuing the DCA way when purchasing Bitcoin, this would help to minimize your losses while waiting for the bull run.
757  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investors to Get Richer When Fed Pivots, Prints Trillions of Dollars on: December 12, 2022, 11:56:08 PM
It could be on Bitcoin and that's yes, but in precious metals, don't think so.
Bitcoin has been known as a high volatility asset while on the other hand those silver and gold aren't, how is he compared both of them?

However, I tend to agree with him, in fact, I have read a lot about his book which seems inspiring with it comes to financial management but when it comes to predicting matters, I don't see those rare close to happening.

For now, IMO, invest in what you believed.
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about filecoin? on: December 12, 2022, 11:25:56 PM
Ain't know much about this coin but AFAIK, this is a decentralized project, a decentralized file storage and sharing network which has a real utility that could be potentially used in the future.  As you can see, most crypto users now are trying to avoid centralized services that are related to crypto, it could be a decentralized sharing platform like this will boom next year and might be worth investing a little that you can afford.

I think this is worth a long-term investment and if you feel that, it's time to fill your bag while the price is very cheap.
It's sometimes good to do some research before putting your investment into a project but if you don't want to do this, go for the safest investment which is Bitcoin, there's no need to dig research because it's proven and tested.
759  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hello i want to make traders dream come true on: December 12, 2022, 11:07:52 PM
Im still learning here but i try my best my first pmp.
I try my first time coin
See, you're new in trading but you want them to join you to fulfill their dreams as a successful trader by your own trap?
Make trader's dream come true to lose their money, isn't it?

The pump and dump group doesn't help everyone in trading, it makes it worst which is the most profitable is the organizer, the owner like you because you know when the right time to sell when there are many greedy traders that will join your club.  But here in the forum?  No one will join you because we know here that the pump and dump aren't giving you a real profit, it could be newbies will fall into your trap but this is a great warning to them.

Prove yourself that you're good at trading without using the pump and dump method, in that case, it might many people here will follow your strategies, or better else, just use your pump and dump alone.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Bitcoin unit look like in real life on: December 12, 2022, 10:58:05 PM
I suggest you read it very carefully the Bitcoin Whitepaper.  Learn and understand every statement so that you'll figure out what Bitcoin looks like.

Based on the Whitepaper said, it's a digital currency form or it looks like numerous lines of codes as posted on the first page that is composed of 1 and 0, which seems like a line of 1s and 0s on a computer screen.  That's how coding works and you'll need to learn, if you know how to read codes, it's written in C++ and can be found on GitHub.

Try to figure out now and explore the beauty of this technology that Bitcoin has.
