741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Digibyte (DGB) sounds like a good investment atm on: August 18, 2017, 12:50:24 PM
DGB is a nice coin with nice features. It is an older coin that has been largely overlooked by this latest run and I am not quite sure why. It is not totally unique but it is one of the most feature complete coins with huge community and dev support. To be honest I quite like it. I do not have any other than what I am mining currently but I would like to see this one succeed just from the features standpoint.
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy Vega 64 or 1080ti or 2 x 1070 ? on: August 18, 2017, 12:42:46 PM
I would buy the 1080ti simply out of a density standpoint. Every pcie slot, every riser, every space used by a card is density lost. The 1080ti will provide the best density to performance ratio - it is the fastest of all these cards and can be had at a decent price point. Also if you are ever in need of money for the next 6-12ish months you will be able to easily sell off the 1080ti for a nice portion of what you paid for it - I have already done this and was shocked at how fast I got rid of them. Sold 4 1080tis within 1 hour for 90% of what I paid for them.
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGO Airdrop? on: August 18, 2017, 12:36:38 PM
If this is a Scam, why the topic is still open?
The airdrop itself is not a scam - it is a legitimate airdrop that the Omsie Go company will be doing at some point. The scam is the website linked above - that was created as a way to get peoples private keys from their ETH wallets to steal their coins. Although I do not think we have confirmation yet that the airdrop snapshot has already taken place or if it has not. I am unable to find good details on this anywhere.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: If i start mining ethereum by taking loan of 3000$ for 2 years , will it beneficial ? on: August 17, 2017, 08:37:19 PM
This is what I did, however I did this about 4 months ago. I took out nearly $20,000 in loans and built myself a small farm - I got my ROI and now I basically pay off power each month and invest the rest. I was in "early" before the massive rush and the astronomical increase in difficulty. Now I think it would be pretty difficult to get into and safely get an ROI - you would be looking at 0.75-1 year easy. Also $3000 is not that much even if you can find GPUs.. this is probably not a great idea.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So correction is coming? on: August 17, 2017, 08:16:25 PM
Yes we're due for a correction but that massive spike we had earlier may have pushed it off for a little while. I was thinking we would see the start of a full correction earlier but with that large push I think BTC wants to test around 4700 before correcting. However the whole market is acting extremely strangely today and I have been eyeing a lot of action / inaction all around. Lots of alts moving in lock step together and ignoring BTC.. like I said, it has been weird.
746  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New Mining Farm. $100k to invest. Advice needed. on: August 17, 2017, 06:58:16 PM
Where is everyone getting 2-3c/kwh? In my area, power runs at 8.9c
People who usually live near a source of cheap power - either a hydro electric dam or a nuclear power plant. Lots of places have really cheap power, it is just that in the inner city or in more densely populated areas the power tends to cost more.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: August 17, 2017, 04:41:41 PM
I spent some time last night reading your Whitepaper and have some questions:

  • You say that 350K USD have already been invested. These were invested when the company was incorporated in Singapore, right?

  • Can you please provide the Certificate of Good Standing from Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority ACRA - this should be free for company members.

  • Tokens for economic rights - I want to know how are these rights enforced in case of a breach of contract. Will there be a contract between the investor and your company?

  • We are targeting 12-20% annual returns depending on the type of asset and market risk - Can you please confirm if this example is correct: If a property is bought for 1 million USD and I invest 100,000 REAL tokens then I will be receiving a monthly dividend of 10% (minus 10% fee) of the monthly rent.

  • Why are you using mortgages and loans to acquire properties? Isn't it better to pay them in full with the investment money, so you don't pay interest to the banks?

  • We expect that as our site becomes popular, and as our users start receiving regular income and profits on a monthly basis, they will want to acquire more REAL Tokens in order to invest in more Real Estate assets. This will cause the REAL Token to grow in value and price. - Can you give an example of another market where this is possible? – Buy assets that are increasing in value, but with fixed dividends payouts.

  • In the rare case of losses the REAL fee won’t be applied and the user will lose some of his invested Tokens. User won’t ever lose more than his invested Tokens. - Can you clarify this point please. If my REAL tokens investment in a building is 10% of the total price and you sell that building at a loss, then I will receive my tokens back minus 10%? Is it possible that a user can lose all of his invested token in a building?

  • The Reserve will not be accessed for a minimum of 4 quarters (12 months), and will be re-locked or burned – Who decides that? You or investors by voting?

  • Is the floor price same as average annual returns?

Thank you.

Amazing list of stuff here, I am eager to know all this as well.

Hi, I am currently looking at buying enough to run a masternode. Do you have any calculator or breakdown where I can see my expected income?
749  Other / Meta / Re: Busy, try again (504) on: August 16, 2017, 07:31:51 PM
I am getting this error an increasingly large portion of the time now - some times the forum is completely unusable. I am curious as to why this is because the forum software is very basic and can be extremely easily scaled horizontally since it is just PHP and MySQL back end. Is there a place we can check the service status or a feed of current things going on with the forum? Although chat groups seem to be taking over for most of the buzz in the crypto world these days..
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum GPU ASIC MINER - NVMiner on: August 16, 2017, 04:46:38 PM
Oh boy here we go again, another machine that will be overpriced and late on shipping. Post smells and everything looks crazy suspicious. Why do you startups not post tons of pictures of what you have going on, everyone on the planet has a camera in their pocket these days and that would alleviate so much of the suspicion. If these are real you will have more business than you know what to do with, but for now I caution our newer members...
751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why does bitcoin has constantly increasing its price lately? on: August 16, 2017, 04:41:22 PM
Because people all over the world are starting to see it for what it is. A valuable rare asset that can be used to transmit value anywhere almost instantly. This kind of technology has never existed before so the first accepted one is probably going to get pretty huge. It has momentum and growing adoption which is always a good thing. Also the fear is gone from the fork and markets hate fear, so this is just releasing all that pent up demand.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why Sapphire Nitro cannot reach 30mh/s.. on: August 16, 2017, 04:36:34 PM
This is due to the increasing DAG size/DAG bug with AMD drivers. It is a known issue that Claymore is working on, but it is also because ETH is simply getting harder to mine. This will continue to get slower and slowed until either the bug is fixed and or the difficulty drops a lot. From my understanding it is sort of a dual bug and feature from two different parties. You can confirm this by mining another Ethash based coin and watching your mining rate go up a lot.
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Confirms China Expansion Plans on: August 16, 2017, 04:34:48 PM
Ripple really seems to be the first of the token platforms with services and not being completely about the coin. The coin is more of "stock" in their company that gets them funding and buzz but does not really do much. Ripple, NEO, OMG, those 3 are really big and seem to be doing this methodology recently. I sure hope this does not become the trend because that could have a lot of downside down the road.. we have already seen the SEC get involved in the USA as it is.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Verge about to make a big run?? on: August 15, 2017, 04:13:55 PM
Those look like some very good upcoming changes that I am happy to hear about. I wonder how much this will effect the price when it comes out due to the coins large size. Slack integration would be fantastic and I would put that into my own slack channel for sure. Another fun little thing to do with crypto and slack. Really DGB should have been the one to do that but I guess they are focused on other things.
755  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ETH wallet stuck in maintenance for a long time on: August 15, 2017, 03:58:08 PM
I am just speculating here but I am guessing it has to do with A) the massive amount of movement that ETH and all its tokens receive B) the increased traffic due to the growing Crypto scene and Polo starting to fade in popularity has hammered their servers and possible exposed performance issues and C) the sheer number of tokens is incredible and I bet they are having trouble managing them all and keeping up with those updates.

Totally guessing though!  Lips sealed
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Whats happening with DigiByte coin..? on: August 15, 2017, 03:55:33 PM
It is just a normal market cycle, things go up then things go down. DGB had quite a nice run on some news and speculation and then it slid down back to where it was before. Now it has bottomed out and the market is seeing it as a potential opportunity and people are starting to accumulate it again. Now it will rise and fall again with another normal market cycle. It looks to be breaking out of the down trend so it may be a good choice soon.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB on Binance. Easy 10x. on: August 15, 2017, 03:52:56 PM
I am really worried about all these coins/tokens that can only be found on certain or exclusive places. Seems to me this opens a whole can of worms about insider trading, artificial trades, etc etc. Why should I trust these guys with my coins? Why do they not get their stuff listed elsewhere? It does not lend credibility when I see things trading in only on place.. but I guess that is how you buy it at these low prices and then places like Bittrex pump it up.
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX VEGA 64 ETHEREUM MINING HASHRATE REVEALED!!!!!!! on: August 15, 2017, 03:47:34 PM
Wow talk about a disappointment. I guess those poor poor gamers will now be able to buy cards..  Roll Eyes

I really do not understand how these numbers are even possible though. This thing does not even match the Fury in performance yet uses more power? These things really do not make any sense for mining at all.. I wonder if that was AMD's plan? Perhaps they have gimped it via the drivers for the initial release and will unlock more speed later once they have more in stock?
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos Price??? on: August 15, 2017, 03:44:59 PM
Man this thing has been so hyped for months now I do not know what to think. Really I think it just comes down to a fifty fifty chance of exploding or dumping into the ground. From what I have seen is that they do not even have an actual working product yet? Is that still the case or have things changed? I am just worried about all the buzz around this, there was not nearly this much buzz for ANS/NEO and look where that go up to..
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any reason why ARK was pumped so hard? on: August 15, 2017, 03:38:14 PM
It was ARKs time to shine that day. The technical analysis was good, people started buying, the BTC price was "stabilizing" I guess in this market a few hours of BTC calming down is considered stable. A lot of these newer coins are seeing tons of action once they start to rise - they almost seem like pump n dumps. I doubt they are, it is just people wanting to jump on the bandwagon and not miss out (FOMO)
