Elianite, CONGRATULATIONS!

Very excited to see you've filled your 25 book quota and are not expanding beyond...what great success! Clearly there's good demand for these books, I can't wait to see it!

Same here, he even let me pay via paypal (don't ask, just worked better at the time, i'm not a fan, trust me) for #20.

Elianite, I think I asked once, but how are you handling the shipping , I was never asked for an address unless you got it from my paypal payment?

Thanks again, it gives me something more to look forward to than the snow! Wink

Possum, Not sure what you mean by not expanding beyond.. 25 was the stated minimum, but I'm willing to take up to 75 additional orders if they come Tongue.

I will be shipping the books out personally after I receive them from the print. I'll be signing each book. Some of you have already provided addresses, which I have in my order spreadsheet. For those that haven't, I'll just send a message prior to shipping.

Any update on the book??
Have you received all of your submissions back from each manufacturer??

Thanks Smiley

You are a little too optimistic Wink. I have submitted drafts to a few, and had the chance to correct a few things.
Right now I have Lealana, Cryptolator, Crypto Imperator, Microsoul, Titan, SerpCoin, and bhCoin almost fully complete, minus some formatting. I haven't sent the drafts to most of these yet. This weekend I'm working on NolaCoin, Coinographic, and Nasty Mining.
The good news is that most of the biggest manufacturer sections are done, which are by far the most complex.
Some of the remaining 'big fish' are Silver Wallets, Alitin Mint, TGBEX, Finite By Design, Denarium, etc.
Then there is a gaggle of smaller manufactures and one-offs that I need to deal with; luckily those are not as difficult to do.
Hope this gives a good picture of where things stand right now Smiley

I hope you sell a lot of these books. I think the physical crypto coin market will just continue to get stronger and stronger. Are you going to be signing the first editions of these books?

I will sign each of the 1st edition books.

So when is the deadline for the release of these books?? Or will it just be waiting until the max reserve spots of 100 get placed?

The deadline I have made for myself is that this book will be completed in 2015, which means December. Once the book is ready, it will go to print; I am not waiting on any particular number, though I did say earlier that I needed atleast 25 (which I now have). Anything more up to 100 is ofcourse nice Smiley
If for example the book is completed in mid November with 32 reservations, then so it shall be. I might of course print a few more to sell later (up to 100 total) if I want to, but we will see.

So all the books reserved now will be signed? Not just the first 25?

Correct.

Update:

I have opened up an additional 10 numbers that can be reserved

Also, I received a question regarding shipping to Australia. Australia is now included along with EU, US, and Canada as having no extra shipping cost. All shipping will be via International Surface unless you wish to pay an additional $15 for airmail or even more for something fancy Smiley

Elianite and m_ribbon, will you share any screenshots of he book once it comes together? Will this be hardback or softback? What are the dimensions of the book? I'm glad to see the list of reserved spots is growing...I might be a buyer soon (need to save up some 'coin!)

Good luck and congrats!

Hi, these questions may have been missed or maybe they've already been answered. Can you give me some insights or direct me to where they answers may be located?

Thanks and good luck!

To answer your questions;

- The book will be soft-back
- The dimensions are expected to be about 9" by 6"
- Naturally, it will be printed in color

Below, are some of the Lealana pages that are mostly complete.

755  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Grading Coins - A Few Basic Questions. on: August 05, 2015, 12:24:11 PM
I have a few questions for those who are knowledgeable about the grading process.

Which companies grade crypto-coins? ANACS does and CGS in the UK but who else?

Maybe you could try to interview someone from ANACS to get a real understanding of how crypto-coin grading is perceived and conducted.

This would be excellent

757  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Who is the owner of v1 500btc Casascius Bar? on: August 03, 2015, 04:49:58 AM
I know for a fact that chainsaw sold it to a wealthy buyer and no longer has it.

I'm happy to report this is untrue. Elianite, perhaps you've mistaken it with one of the V1 100 BTC bars I've sold? (Still have one available for sale, can't miss a chance to plug ;-)  ).

I own one of the two 500 BTC bars in existence.

Indeed I am mistaken; my memory has betrayed me. Glad you still have it!

Maybe there's some right way to try to sell something like this. It just seems that it would need larger publicity, interest, marketing, etc. I always considered things like putting it up at a high end auction site once our next mega-rally was well underway. I may have to wait several more years for the market and demand to be there. Whatever - it's fun to keep tabs on. I've seen more activity in the crypto collectible marketplace in the last month or so.

Wait till my book comes out. I think if we can get it to the attention of some mainstream rare-coin collectors, there will be some significant interest and money moving in. It will be published this year, and I am working with a very capable academic to make it highly interesting to the average intelligent individual. (I also cant help but plug; link is in my signature Smiley )

But in all seriousness, I think the book is the first step to bringing in outside interest. Question is how to get it out there.

All I can see here is a group of people with green trust scores. Do you have any offer for the one who wishes to buy more than one ?

The answer to your question is quoted below, it's the second post in this topic...

A 10% discount will be applied if you order more then one book due to shipping savings.

Thanks Possum Smiley

And if you want to order a bunch; PM me and we can work something out.
