761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 15, 2024, 10:20:50 AM
As of the current combination, it looks like there is no place for KL Rahul and Gill in playing XI.

If we are talking about t20wc squad here, these two still have high chances to make it cause selectors are likely to go for experienced players over new players. No matter how good new players may be, most fumble in big tourneys.

Though, I sense Jaiswal and Rinku have guaranteed spot in squad.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 15, 2024, 01:16:59 AM
Great inning from Gulabadin Naib, played some great shots, moment he got out scoring rate plummeted, eventually tail enders caught it back up to some extent, nonetheless largely thanks to Gulabadin that Afghans were able to give decent chase. Eof inning was sorta comedy.

Indian batting absolutely thrashed Afghans, Jaiswal has been consistent in T20 and high chances we might see him in T20WC.

Mukesh Kumar didn't get a single wicket, that was weird, he would have probably gotten one if he completed 4 over quota.

I am actually expecting to see Virat Kohli in the T20I worldcup squad.

Everyone does. If he doesn't make into T20wc squad, Indian population will riot, and I'm not saying this in exaggerated sense.
Looked like an easy winning match for India team. Afghanistan team did well, and they weren't able to control the India team. Three batsmen contributed to the winning and they made strong runs in a much comfortable manner. In between India lost wickets and among that two players walked to the pavilion without scoring single run. Maybe if the scoring of Jaiswal was stopped earlier, Afghanistan might've got better chance of winning the match.

Easy? India thrashed Afghanistan. Chased decent total of 173 in mere 15.4 overs. Except Gulabadin and couple tail-enders I don't think they did well, I don't like it when players play at close to 100 SR or worse go below it in T20, looks at this — Zadran 8(10), Omarzai 2(5), Nabi 14(18), Zardran 23(21).

They could have crossed 190 or even 200 had they continued what Gulabadin started, they got all-out anyway with their safe batting, often players try to keep their wicket safe and expect to go guns blazing in last few overs, but more often than not this strategy fails.
763  Economy / Services / Re: NON PROFIT PAID TRANSACTION ACCELERATION SERVICE on: January 15, 2024, 12:09:03 AM
I have found most accelerations range from $38 - $40USD depending on their size/weight/outputs/UTXO's and current fee rate

If this is what accelerating transaction would cost, I would rather use RBF enabled wallet like Blue wallet and increase fee myself and get it confirmed. I have paid max $7 fee, even during recent congestion times, and got it confirmed within a day, to pay $40 USD for accelerating transaction is insanity.
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Test DOP Testnet and receive Airdrop on: January 14, 2024, 11:59:27 PM
I have tried many times to join this testnet but can't join at all. Created account and connected wallet to Metamask. But nothing comes just reload state. I am providing with screenshot if any help please help me I want to join this testnet.

~~cut images~~

Appears you are using some mobile wallet's inbuilt dapp browser, those rarely work properly with websites made for desktops (DOP is one of them), so do this — assuming you are on android; install kiwi browser, install metamask extension therein, import/create new wallet as you prefer, go to DOP website, switch to desktop version from sidebar then connect, it should work.
765  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: January 14, 2024, 11:27:53 PM
India won the game very comfortably, with 4.2 overs to spare and again Dube proved his all ability and becoming strong contender for the all-rounder spot, and surely he will come into consideration is he can repeat same kind of performance for CSK with his bowling.

This is 10th consecutive Bilateral series win for team India in home and the streak continues since 2019.

Axar the man of the match and he really deserved for his extraordinary consistent performances and he was really unlucky to miss the WC last year.

I didn't know Dube could bowl, used to watch him in CSK last IPL, but he never bowled there, did he? Anyway, good for him, hopefully he stays consistent in his performance. He is sorta like Yuvraj, don't you think? Can bowl and aggressive with bating.

On bold part, whenever Jadeja is available, other all-rounders are ignored, in significant matches of course. Tho I find that Jadeja has lost touch with his batting abilities lately.

I missed it, can we stake now and maybe there will be another Celestia airdrop?
Maybe I can try to stake tia worth 100$ for the minimum.
who knows there will be an airdrop in the future.

Read comments just above yours, I have mentioned about it. There won't be another Celestia airdrop but there will other projects airdrop for $TIA stakers, so stake $TIA to be eligible for those.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Arbitrum future? on: January 14, 2024, 11:16:20 PM
Arbitrum's TVL has grown expotentially lately, it's the reason for the price hike you are seeing. However, I expect it to dump with the huge unlock that's coming in March, unless there is some change in that unlock via governance, it's likely to dump somewhat.

Personal opinion, I like Optimism better than Arbitrum, but Arbitrum has highest TPS among Layer 2s, and constant development so I'm gonna hold some for indefinite amount of time.

India v Afghanistan: India won the toss, and decided to bowl first. Few changes in squad, one I liked is Tilak verma is finally out, he has been given plenty chances since T20 series against Aussies just after world cup but kept performing poorly, he made one fifty in between tho iirc but it's not enough imo. Jaiswal is in today and they will be openers of India. Gill also out, nothing to say on that.

It's ok to me if India loses today, will keep series alive until 3rd game, otherwise there is no charm left to watch last game Grin

I missed participating in the TIA airdrop campaign. I saw that people who participated in the airdrop campaign of this project won a lot of money. But I want to know whether the airdrop campaign of this project is still active or not? Please let me know if it is working. Specifically I have never worked on an Airdrop campaign and have never earned any money from an Airdrop campaign.

$TIA airdrop is over however you can stake $TIA by purchasing yourself and it'll likely make you eligible for other future airdrops. There is already one for $TIA stakers from Dymension called $DYM and $TIA stakers are earning huge with that one, plenty more to come.
Thank you very much for spending your valuable time with me. So again I am interested to know some thing is I have TIA on Binance exchange so where do I staking? And how can I get DYM token by staking TIA I want to earn by staking.

You have to download Keplr extension [1], create new wallet and withdraw your TIA from Binance to keplr, then stake through Keplr wallet. DYM airdrop is done but there are more airdrops in pipeline for $TIA stakers.

If you expect to receive airdrops, always hold your funds in non-custdoial wallet you hold seed for, exchanges are excluded most of time from airdrop snapshots, and even if they were included you will be at mercy of exchange to give you airdrop for portion of funds you hold there.

771  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto: a place where everyone makes money, but few secure it on: January 14, 2024, 10:45:35 AM
People who are not used in handling huge amounts of money will always be irresponsible with how they spend it because they will always have this mindset that they will still have lots of leftovers after buying something that is clearly worth a huge chunk of their money. Those who are used to holding huge amounts of money tend to use it to generate more money, whereas people who don't will just find a way to secure the next purchase and 'save' whatever's left of that money.
True, this is what happens to most people today as well as to me. I'm not used to holding a lot of money and when I want to use it, I think I'll have a lot left over so it's okay until I don't realize it's running out. Really need to learn how to control and manage money, that's my problem too.

This is what used to happen to me too, if there was already a good amount of money in my bank account, enough to sustain me for good time, I tended to get complacent with taking profits, i.e, wouldn't even bother to press sell button. Lately, I have gotten rid of this habit and now I secure profits, irrespective of whatever amount I already have.

This is why Warren Buffet has no respect for crypto investors, they don't earn their wealth by making smart decisions, they just happen to invest in the correct coin at the correct time and sell it.

Oh that tells it, now I respect his opinion, prior I used to not and disregarded him completely, considering him to be a folk who's ignorant about crypto sector.
772  Local / India / Re: Apple removes Binance, OKX and Kucoin from App Store in India. on: January 14, 2024, 05:04:09 AM
I just got to know the news of these removals both on App Store and playstore today because it was trending on X (formerly known as Twitter). What I would like to inquire from the Indian users is what is Binance and other exchanges' stand towards the actions by the Indian Government?

Have they issued out any notices about stopping to cooperate with Indian users in the future yet?

As far as I can see only Binance and Kucoin have issued statement regarding this url/app ban, cmiiw, but nothing in particular that they will stop co-operation with Indian users, your funds are safe if they are on our exchange and they'll comply to maintain their services.

Virat Kohli is 35 years old, and he may be able to play prime cricket only for another 2-3 years. So this is the optimal time for the selectors to look for alternatives.

He'll likely keep playing until Olympics 2028, he's one of players who is vigilant about his fitness, he may play well past 2028 too (few years at most after that, ofc), but this is least I expect him to play for. He's poster boy for cricket in Olympics 2028, he not being there to play seems like an unlikely scenario unless something unfortunate happens.

Update 3:

Binance is removed from google play store as well. Shit is getting real !!!
Lets just hope Binance complies with the regulatory policies sooner.
The users who have already downloaded and used the Binance app on mobile will have no problem accessing their account according to the post above. This will not cause a big disturbance yet I hope everyone had their apps too. Anyone who has been using Binance but hasn't tried their mobile app is really going to miss their chance.

Not really, you can still directly download apk through apk downloader sites, there are play store alternatives you can use such as aptoide.

On a note, I can still find Binance app on play store when went through Google search (rather than searching on play store), this doesn't work with other exchange apps, only with Binance.

If they don't comply then Indian users will be forced to use the WazirX if there is no other choice. They will comply unless this is planned and the new CEO is to take the blame.

Coindcx, wazirx, mudrex, colodax, coinswitch — these are ones I'm aware of. What I mean is there are more exchanges than wazirx.

^  Hey libert19...  As I was staking TIA, ATOM and OSMO to increase my chances for eligibility for future Cosmos based projects' airdrops, Layer Zero's airdrop and staking STG got me thinking.  Do you think that it's already too late to stake STG?  Like do you think the Layer Zero devs have already made the snapshot by now?

Not sure why I didn't do it last year.  :/  It's taking things for granted and laziness that get the better of me again.  Lol.

Anyway yeah...  Hope I'm not too late as I just staked STG just now.

What do I know? It's good to do everything that you think will make you eligible for airdrop, I tell you I don't follow my own advise at times, laziness gets better of me too.

No one reports it in our city we still can access some of the big names in the porn industry. I was wondering if Binance plans to change it URL from Binance.com to Binance.desi  Huh Grin

This was good one  Cheesy

Rather than helping the middle class, the government keeps on screwing it for its benefit.

What screwing? Although I agree they should make tax rates reasonable otherwise this decision merely brings offshore traders back to Indian exchanges and it did [1], tell me if i'm missing something.

There was an article published by the Economic Times that URLs of these exchanges have been blocked. It seems they are still accessible for now and in the coming days, they will get blocked.

Already blocked from my side, I use Jio.

779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: January 13, 2024, 11:30:21 AM
because they need users and a community, just like bounties they need a community to promote their project, currently the community is the key to the success of a project like ARB, uniswap they provide airdrops in very large numbers but they are still surviving and even growing, which should be if seen from the logic of the project will die because it gives away their tokens and everyone can sell them.

If doing airdrop were equal to killing the project they would have stopped doing it long time ago, it works that's why this trend is continuing. Some even make it obvious that they are gonna do airdrop, come farm us!

Projects that were generous with their drop are still doing good in market while those who were miser for example $PSP from Paraswap are in ashes, take what you may.

$SWELL from Swell Network confirmed, Pearls earned for staking ETH will be used to claim $SWELL: https://twitter.com/swellnetworkio/status/1745414013763436670

This is deffo gonna be a significant one cause it's on Ethereum, already a win for Eigenlayer stakers.
780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Bitcoin price history is important on: January 13, 2024, 11:12:45 AM
So you mean to say Bitcoin won't make ATH this time around 1/1.5 years after halving?
Nothing is guaranteed, although I understand what the OP is trying to say. As @mindrust already mentioned, past data doesn't predict the future. Yes, the historical data show that Bitcoin has been performing in approximately 4-year-old circles, but that alone cannot guarantee what's going to happen in the future. Moreover, we don't have enough data to safely say that this will also happen in 4, 8, 12 years, and so on. If we suppose that we had a history of 30-year-old data and identified that every circle runs every 4 years and the price surges to a new ATH every time, or close at least, then we could be more confident in what we could predict for the future.

You can't ignore what's at hand, halving is coming and bull run signs are already there, several coins have gone multiple X already, BRC20 shitcoins are giving hefty returns, this time also we are seeing positive news surrounding crypto as BTC ETF was just approved. What more guarantee do you look for?
