761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another crypto ban again? on: March 23, 2020, 04:12:53 PM

"Identified" that is to say, let go of privacy and anonymity. Well, if this is true then it's coming at a wrong time owing to the current nature of the market as well as the world now as it will only generate more panic. However, since prominent websites are yet to post anything on it, I will only but keep my fingers crossed while hoping for the best and sooner than later we will know the truth. Lastly, in all, it will not stop the crypto space from growing.
762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers always make use of advantages on: March 23, 2020, 04:07:22 PM
Last week the United kingdom's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a warning that the coronavirus out real might be providing criminals with the opportunity to swindle investors out of their crypto assets, you've been warned

Scammers are sophisticated, opportunistic and will surely try many things.

Do not trust any one or organization asking for donations to combat the outbreak, it's not real

Indeed they are opportunist and as they say, most Opportunities comes but once hence the reason why they are off to scam innocent people with this deadly virus as a cover-up. Also, it is time to be on the lookout for most platforms or organizations which will come up to ask for donations to help tackle this virus; it is good to donate but also wise to do it through the right and established organizations which are thoroughly known, so that you will have the feeling that you did a good work for humanity.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when price is dump?? on: March 22, 2020, 12:40:20 PM
The basic solution in times as this for traders is to Hold their/your capital in fiat or stable coin then wait patiently, then you get into the trade after there has been few more rekts or tokens has reached the bottom.

What do you think? Is it a smart move at this time?

That has been the idea for a long time and it's likely not to change. Maybe I can say a greater number of traders makes use of this idea while a few number which might not necessarily be traders holds their coins, in this case those going long term. Also, if looked at from another angle this idea is the smart move, as it will make the trader who is already in stablecoins or fiat to buy more of his desired coins at the appointed time. But for a trader or holder who is already in loss will find it hard selling thus holding thereof which also depends on the coin in question; that is, if it has a good chance of increasing in price later on or not.
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus is ravaging a large portion of cryptocurrencies. Is this permanent? on: March 22, 2020, 12:26:02 PM
As you all may know, Corona is heavily affecting the crypto market, however, do you believe that this is permanent, or will the effects be seen for the next 3, 6, 12 or 18 months?

Am human so I can hardly predict but however from my own opinion and how things are working out, I would say it is not permanent. The reason is this, this particular virus is causing a devastating effects on the entire world to the extent countries are now imposing stricter rules to curtail its wide spread. Therefore with the current situation it is possible to assume that every country is taking steps to come up with a cure and at this rate, that shows there will be cure and this virus won't be permanent. With the virus gone or with the announcement of a possible cure for it, there will be a huge price turnaround in the crypto market as well as other markets while taking into account that emotions is one of the traits of the crypto market.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is altcoin season??? on: March 22, 2020, 12:10:56 PM
In the past, altcoins have enjoyed immense gains during altseasons. Well this happens only if there is Bitcoin dominance... And I believe there are two types of principles to follow them

* Bitcoin dominance Increases when more and more people buy and simply hold BTC.

* Bitcoin dominance decreases when more and more people sell BTC.

So altcoins fate is purely depend on BTCs price reaction or altcoins are independent???guys please share your thoughts on this.

One striking thing I picked out or want to draw your attention to is the statement you just made; Bitcoin dominance increase when people are buying it, that is to say, higher demand leads to greater value. Now, it can see seen that for altcoins to boom there must be a huge demand for it which will invertly lead to the decrease in price of Bitcoin. So back to your question, no one knows when the altcoin season will be as most altcoins nowadays are just for profit with just a little number really after positive change and growth. Also, to a greater extent I think the fate of altcoins depends on that of BTC.
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto pair do you swap most often? on: March 21, 2020, 08:48:47 AM
Actually more pairs doesn't really mean better services rather it is just the exchange giving traders or users what they feel is better, that is to say any exchange at all can implement any trading pair they want. Binance exchange has many trading pairs of several stablecoins. Also, trading against stablecoins removes the need to keep profit stable, that is, in every trade being carried out against stablecoins, the trader can easily take the allocation he wants back for trading while keeping the remaining which is profit. In the same way, stablecoins are better suited for bear market but when the market is booming, less traders don't bother as they would want their profit to appreciate with the growing market. In terms of swapping, USDT or stablecoins to other coins is better and i mostly use exchanges; I can also trade with any pair I want depending on what am I after.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin for coronavirus on: March 21, 2020, 08:26:07 AM
This is a total joke and there is no hype about it, also the person who created this needs to be brought to law if possible for playing with such type of virus affecting a greater number of the world, from which many have died from. So in essence, the creator is wishing for the virus to continue spreading and killing people, because apart from this, I see no reason for creating this token. Again, I see this as a means to collect money from people because the idea is funny, unrealistic and unachievable, hence should be ignored entirely.
768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will grow in price faster if the market recovers? on: March 21, 2020, 05:56:06 AM
The fall of the crypto market has stopped. At least some altcoins have not fallen in price for several days and even show weak growth.
Everyone knows that the time of crisis is the best time to buy.
Before the strong fall in the price of Bitcoin, I sold my coins and then managed to buy them back at a much lower price. Now I have money left for additional investments and I am thinking of spending it on bitcoins to average out in case of a fall in the price or better to buy other coins. What kind of altcoins do you think will grow in price faster if the market recovers? I am more interested in your reasoned opinion than the name of a simple coin name.

Everyone or rather most people are recommending ETH first before any other one and from the look of things or to be sincere, it is the truth. Ethereum is one coin which have a very huge opportunity of regaining it's price and even growing more because people have come to trust it more than any other altcoin. Also, with the blockchain upgrade coming up it tends to be a good decision. XLM and BNB is another that have a good chance o growing faster, as each team is trying their best to maintain platform growth and relevance.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's just the beginning on: March 20, 2020, 04:12:50 PM
Funny as it looks or sounds but that's the truth, although it might not be massive as we might think but the thing is, most people will move their funds into Bitcoin so as to stand a better chance of recovering their losses. Also, the current situation of the world is affecting not just crypto but every other market; therefore your last statement is totally true, I believe there is more to be expected from crypto and those who are looking down on it will only realize they have missed a huge benefit. So in all dealings let's endeavour to pass on the true knowledge of crypto to those who cares to listen.
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: March 20, 2020, 03:54:14 PM
Yes, seriously when I see the negative things people say about crypto I will only but shake my head and ignore them because it shows that they lack the knowledge of what the crypto space is all about as well as the different phases it has passed through to get to there it is now. Just like you, i strongly believe that crypto in general will bounce back up, this is not the first bear season it has ever faced and in all others it still came out stronger and better. Furthermore, I think buying coins like Eth, BNB, XLM will worth it later on.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty group is dead on: March 20, 2020, 03:46:10 PM
Actually in a more serious note you might find out they are not to be blamed, reason being that the managers in question are yet to get hold of good bounties worthy of their time as well as the bounty hunters. Also, I think it's better to wait and get a good bounty than accepting anything that comes the way which might end up being a total waste of time. Some of these groups, their managers are good so I think we should allow them figure themselves out and get hold of the best bounty campaigns.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Corona drop over or will it continue? on: March 18, 2020, 01:08:51 PM
Yes I tend to believe it is the virus that is the cause of these downtrend in the market this few days, and just like you accurately pointed out, both stock market is feeling the hit. Also with the current situation on ground I may still believe the drop or dump is not yet over. Many countries are imposing more restrictions and regulations so as to limit the spread of the virus and with no cure at hand, that fear, panic and anxiety will still exist thus will make more people to dump their assets for fiat. Therefore, just like fear, panic etc is making people to dump for fiat, in the same way the presence of a cure will restore hope thus bringing about a turnaround in all markets as well as activities in the world.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am fed up with scammers and newbies. on: March 17, 2020, 10:23:00 AM
Last week, I found an airdrop project in Telegram called Marco Protocol, the airdrop looked decent at the first stage, I earned 200 MAPC tokens and that was instant! But you only can withdraw from your MAP wallet when Airdrop program will end, that's good, I am okay with it. Their airdrop tweet got 8K retweet and 9K likes, so, you can understand how hype it had!
But yesterday, they announced they are going to sell Bitcoin at a 50% discount to celebrate the halving. Can you imagine? 1 Bitcoin price is 8600 USD, people can buy by 4300$! I believe This is absolutely scam but many newbies already have fallen for that! As they saw MAPC has huge support in twitter, and they listed on CMC too.

50% off announcement: https://t.me/MAP_POB_channel/87

What is in for the team or what do they stand to gain through such? This is the first question that should always come to mind in this type of cases. Even if they are too generous, selling Bitcoin at 50% discount is enough reason to show the users or members that something is wrong. Well as humans, we all know people will fall for that mostly because it is Bitcoin without taking time to ask questions. I see it as this; they used the airdrop to attract users, made it as attractive as possible, have good twitter activities then showcased their true intentions which is make money off gullible users. Let people always try and look beyond whatever that is being showcased and ask the right questions because scammers are getting wiser and looking for more ways to scam.
774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] COVID-19 Hits Ethereum Community Conference, Six People Test Positive on: March 17, 2020, 10:09:38 AM
This is not good at all, where most countries are already cancelling conferences, mass gatherings etc to limit the spread of this virus and these organizers went head to launch theirs and people even attended. It is understandable that the conference is important but life is more important as it is someone who is healthy that can attend more conferences etc. Let those who attended the conference take precautionary measures to ensure the safety of their friends and loved ones. I wish them quick recovery.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be fooled on: March 17, 2020, 09:57:11 AM
Coronavirus is the reason why market is in very bad shape, it will be very stupid to exit because of this while others are making good choice presently, many are already saying it's the end for crypto but the fact is Bitcoin died several times in the past and it's still alive today, do not be fooled by those who don't understand the technology

This virus is affecting many activities, disrupting meetings, conferences, businesses and so on, it is not only the crypto market that is affected, every other market is feeling the impact be it stock etc so it will be really funny if someone believes what people are saying about the end of crypto etc. To start with, the crypto market didn't just boom in one day, it passed through various phases before becoming so valuable and thus has come to stay just as it has been doing before now; the only thing is to be patient and calm, do your best, be safe and allow the market do the rest.
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways To Distribute & Promote a New Coin on: March 16, 2020, 10:18:26 AM
What are some good ways to promote, distribute/sell a new coin? Please list some good techniques, so on and so forth. Thanks again.

First thing first, develop the coin to have value, how? By having a use case because without it even promoting the new coin and selling might not end well. To promote the new coin, a bounty, or airdrop or even both can be held, for bounty social media campaign (Facebook, Twitter and maybe LinkedIn) is a good one as well as content campaign (Article and YouTube) as it will make people understand easily what the project is all about. Signature is also a good one as most forum members will be aware of such project.
Promotion comes before selling in this case, depending on the funds the team have for IEO listing, they can choose any good exchange for IEO through which listing follows thereafter. Lastly have a strong community who are always free to air their opinions, while the team makes the best decisions.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC 20 TOKENS on: March 16, 2020, 10:07:46 AM
I am a little new in crypto world and want to know what are exactly these ERC-20 tokens? How they came into existence and why every token is ethereum based why not bitcoin or another, as far as I came to know.

Just like the previous person suggested, get started with that link posted. In my own understanding, ERC 20 tokens are based on Ethereum blockchain owing to the convinent associated with the blockchain, there are other ERC tokens but most projects tends to go for ERC 20. Also, like earlier stated they are based on Ethereum blockchain hence their existence. There are other blockchains out there such as EOS, XLM etc but every project knows what they want to achieve therefore choosing the blockchain which will serve them. Also, most projects only launch on Ethereum blockchain to kick-start their platform while having a specific time to migrate to their own blockchain, projects with this idea have it on their roadmap as "mainnet". Also, most projects might launch on Ethereum blockchain first then alone the line might find a blockchain which they believe will serve better thus migrating to it. So every project choose a blockchain according to their objectives.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New investors are too impatience on: March 16, 2020, 09:55:17 AM
The vast majority of new crypto investors that I am aware of are anxious and restless these days. Gone are the days when early crypto investors  invest in coins and watch it develop over time, newbies and new investors are too in hurry to make money and many turned crypto investment into life jobs.
The benefits of an investment is called returns which takes years to accomplish so its never going to be easy for those looking for short term ROI and yet fundraising like IEO still brings short term profit for smart investors,i think almost all new crypto investors lacks patience

But on a contrary opinion, what is the assurance that the project won't exit? There are most projects which came with a good idea but along the line they become worthless could be the team lacks what it takes to drive the platform or they finds it hard getting listed. Actually many investors do things for several reasons, those who have been victims of exit scam might find it hard holding any token apart from major coins, those who invest in IEO might only be for the quick profit and the list continues. In my own case, I would say go with what works for you, if it's holding then go for projects which are worth it and not those based on hype, invest and hold as you want. Also, as an investor get the right knowledge about investing, and know that investment returns takes time.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH could reach $440 if bullish on: March 15, 2020, 07:39:48 PM
ETH is witnessing a massive pump this year and hopefully I wish it to continue, if the bulls continue to reach the next level resistance it may $440. However it is important to remember this is just an indicator,  I believe it has the capability to reach this value by the end of this year.
https://u.today/ethereum-eth-price-could-reach-440-if-bullish-momentum-persists-market-analyst-edward-moya?amp=1

Well this can be accepted when taking into account how Ethereum grew this year, I mean it started its growth well and also owing to what everyone is expecting this year from Ethereum (Ethereum 2.0) one might not be mistaken for believing it could reach that price or even surpass it; however this is the crypto space where everything is highly unpredictable thus anything can happen. Currently the market is not too favourable but we believe that sooner than later the dust will settle as cryptocurrencies has come along way and has come to stay.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 will bring big changes? on: March 15, 2020, 07:31:31 PM
I read the news about Ethereum 2.0 will be launched at the beginning of next year (January 2020).
What if buying ethereum for now, is the right time? If there might be good advice from you, let's take time for this.
 Thank you.

Yes everyone is waiting patiently for it, it is a migration to Proof-of-Stake algorithm which is believed will make Ethereum more scalable which is what the community or users have been clamouring for as well. It is taking place this year so it is logical to believe that the price will appreciate and holders will be rewarded with good rewards. Lastly, since this is a huge upgrade i think it will take a little time for everything to fall in place but the important thing is, we are expecting Ethereum 2.0 this year.
