Watch Bter closely.  It only takes 10000XCR dumped to bring the price to 1200, and a total of 25000XCR would bring the price to 1050 range.  This is a prime opportunity for a "dump and hump".

Anything you want to see on crypti.ws? Smiley

Yes.  A daily posting of the current blockchain, so new wallets and those that have not synced for awhile can save hours of DL time.

Also a link to CryptiTalk and this forum.

How about a XCR faucet?
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti - XCR - Ͼ - 3 PoS algorithms - Ed25519 - Next Gen New Source - Launched! on: August 30, 2014, 08:12:45 PM
What XCR needs is the implementation of the coin features, not more exchanges.  Until XCR has features that make it stand out from the competition, it is just another cybercoin.

There are 3 exchanges now, having 8 exchanges will not make XCR any better or the price any higher.  In fact, too many exchanges could cause the price to go down, as it becomes available to more pump and dumpers.

MaxCoin appeared on over 6 exchanges from day 2, and went from $25 a coin to 50 cents in a week, and 8 cents a week later.  Why?  Too many manipulators, and no real useable features, except to trade for other coins

Be patient, and the features that the devs promised us, once released and implemented, will show the high value of XCR, and the price will follow.

I am not a board member, nor am I any part of the Crypti team.  I am just trying to be helpful.

If you look at the first 40 pages of this blog, you will see that I was a critic of this coin from the beginning, since it sounded like so many of the other coins that just turned out to be schemes for the devs to get a quick buck.

This coin debuted as "buy into the IPO, and we promise to release a coin with unique features soon".  Not a very good selling point, and similar to every other coin.

But, slowly, the devs revealed that they were willing to host a limit on the BTC invested, so as not to dilute the original investors, and that they would have the funds in an escrow account, which we can monitor, and which is paid to the devs over a period of a year.

They also showed professionalism in their answers to all the FUD we threw at them, FUD which would have made a scammer run and hide.

In short, I believe that this coin has a bright future.

I sent BTC from Mintpal to Cryptsy this AM.  It has been 3 hours, and so far only 28 confirmations in the blockchain and no BTC deposit at Cryptsy.

Cryptsy is sort of broken right now for a lot of people. It's not just the speed of btc.

I deposited btc into cryptsy over 2 days ago, and they still don't have it. They said they are working on wallets, or something... beats me what... I just know I sent btc there and it never showed up. It's happened to multiple people the past several days.

from what I've seen XCR has been lower on Bter.

informer

The reason I dont buy on Bter anymore, is that the person who withdraws the XCR from Bter pays the escrow fee from the IPO.

Nice coin.
Price could explode or implode at any time according with current price/volume market/sell-buy order placed.
Which was the original price for ico/ipo?

fabula:

Welcome to the Crypti blog.  Obviously you are new to this coin, and have missed 300 pages of development.

Let me recap:

Crypti is XCR.  There are 100million coins, all sold in a pre-sale thru Bter.  Cap of 750BTC invested.  About 880 satoshi paid for each XCR.

XCR is not mine-able.  You can only purchase XCR or earn it thru confirming (forging) transactions in XCR with your wallet.

So, you might ask "Of what use is XCR?"  Well, of what use is a newborn baby?

The answer is "Potential".

XCR is at the present time, Just Another Crypto Coin, but with its unique node.js coding and the multiple unique features under development, it will soon be in the top 10 altcoins.

Planned for XCR is an escrow system built into the wallet, verified merchant accounts (so you know who you are dealing with), merchant shares in the transaction fee, custom blockchains, mobile APPS, and free pizza.

Ok... I exaggerated about the pizza.   Grin Grin Grin

Anyway, get yourself some XCR now, because as the devs release some of the applications, the value of XCR will go up quickly, and so will the price.

Don't tell others, be quite  Wink

Every time I mine enough BTC to make it worth while I put it in an exchange and wait for the faint of heart to go running from a bot sale and scoop up what I can.  Cheesy

This is the biggest fault with BitCoin.... the long transaction times, and why it cannot replace Credit cards for Point-of-Purchase commerce.  The BTC credit cards you see advertised, are really fiat cards with your BTC being held by, or already sold by the issuing agency (who then gets a cut of the transaction).

XCR can cut out the middleman, save the merchant money, and speed up the transaction to a few seconds.  This will be great for the 80% of the world that does not use banks, but have smartphones.

Suggestion:

The Crypti web site should host a daily blockchain.db file.  When a new user downloads the wallet software, they get the latest blockchain.db, and only have to sync for a few minutes.

For older wallets, a library of the blockchain.db for each of the last 10 days will speed up node syncing for those on the wrong fork, or just offline for a few days.

Anywhere else?  Does that mean a different IP or a different MAC address?  IP addresses, even for DSL connections change every few weeks.  So that is not a wise decision.

As for different MAC addresses: what to do if the computer crashes, breaks or is stolen?

I meant that the users accessed their accounts only through official web wallet, and haven't risking flagging their pass phrase anywhere else (including their own nodes).
On another though, it looks as it won't be realistic at all, hence we indeed don't have a good method to provide 2FA at the moment.

After the second passphrase, perhaps a one shot try at choosing an icon from a library of 50 icons. Failure results in a 1 hour lockout and an email to the registered users email.

The user would have set this icon choice when registering or updating.

@Devs

Are you using Slack as your team management platform? I was going to create a Crypti channel for community members to work on projects to help promote Crypti, but I saw that the domain was already taken, and it corresponds with the Crypti website :

We already taken it, access only with crypti.me emails.

I don't know, maybe we can change something in settings and make discussion for all.

I HIGHLY recommend this. The Crypti IRC channel is dead, and frankly I don't think we should any time on it, secondly most users are split between BitcoinTalk and CryptiTalk and it isn't helping much as our community is divided. I suggest that we make one channel the "hub" for all Crypti communications, and I think Slack is the perfect place for that.

Why not keep it accessible only to Crypti.me email addresses, since you have control over that email server?  You can keep out FUDDERS, troll, N00bs and rabbiters

Jeez, why are you guys panicking about the price? This thing happens every time each month towards the end of the month. Prices and volume drop across the board as people cash out to pay their expenses. Ask Litoshi, he's probably the most experienced trader here.

Personally, I'm not really doing any day trading at the moment, because I know that once custom block chains and the first Crypti apps are released, the bottom price of Crypti would be 20K Satoshi.

WHO ME???  I'M BUYING
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti - XCR - Ͼ - 3 PoS algorithms - Ed25519 - Next Gen New Source - Launched! on: August 30, 2014, 02:19:11 PM

I would like to see 2FA for wallet and forge. I know we already have 2nd passphrase. But I like the convenience it affords me with other sites. And I think it's a feature that new investors would find they are accustomed to and presents the coin as well rounded and protected investment.

Crypto currency works with digital signatures. Anyone who has the secret key can spend the money. You can give the secret key (encrypted by your password) to a third party and they will ask you for 2FA before you can download encrypted blob from their server (i.e blockchain info wallet),  but if you have the secret key on your machine, there can't be any 2FA.

We might consider adding the 2FA to our hosted wallet, if there will be enough demand and if people will trust this solution.
Of course this will mean users using it will have to make sure they never logged in with their pass phrase anywhere else.

Anywhere else?  Does that mean a different IP or a different MAC address?  IP addresses, even for DSL connections change every few weeks.  So that is not a wise decision.

A first go-to point. http://crypti.ws/

I'm currently thinking about several project ideas. But for these I need more API information and calls. Smiley

Great work bud. Could you open-source it to GitHub so that we can help contribute to it as well?

What do you want to open-source? The project I want to start or the current crypti.ws?

It really should be up to the Crypti Foundation to decide what is best for Crypti.  If the Foundation decides to keep the code closed source, then it will remain closed source.  IF the Foundation votes for open source, then it will be released in the manner and method that is best for XCR.

Until then, rabbiter will just have to find another coin code to copy for his "Lucky168" coin.

how is this possible with the proof of time foriging weight resetting after forged block? 9306737411124266105C just forged 2 blocks one minute apart, i didnt think getting two consecutive blocks was possible.

Anyway it's can be possible, but you can be in (locall) fork and this block will be removed after fork processing.

Hi Crypti you promised you were contacting a third party to check the code?

They are. Be patient  Wink

Rabbiter just wants to launch his "Krypti Coin" as soon as possible.  Our refusal to release the source is causing him to delay his clone.

LOL crazy people selling at 1500 satoshis

There seems to be so little buy support at the moment, not sure why  Undecided

Looking at the prices on Cryptsy, the SELL ORDERS (ASK)  price is 1950, and the BUY ORDERS (BID) price is 1650.  A difference of about 20%.  Far too high a difference to attract a buyer.  The trade history shows a series of SELL orders executed bringing the price from 1900 to 1650.  This is either a dumping attempt to force others to sell and lower the price further, or what the stock exchanges call "Profit taking".

"Profit Taking" is a euphemism for "take the money and run".

Please delete all rabbiters posts, quit responding to him, and report him to moderators please. He does nothing but terrorize our thread (and many others) and take away from any constructive discussion.

Kid should be banned.

There is always the potential that someone new came in during the middle of his rants and initially saw only his complaints. Or for that matter that he is in other threads spouting the same. I prefer to respond and invalidate the arguments so that anyone who does not know us, our coin, or what the truth is, can see for themselves and make an educated decision.

For FUD / Troll free conversations, please come talk to me on our official forums at http://cryptitalk.com/

There are a few really active users over there but we would love to have more!

GreXX,

You should not respond anymore to this kids rants for the same reason that a farmer never disciplines a pig by wrestling it in the mud........ the pig likes it

And for rabbiter:

This guy is a fanboy of Qora + NXT thinks every other thing is A CP, lol... and wants to insult Crypti and it's team & community at all turns... wtf. I fail to see why someone would spend so much time of their day for the sole reason of being annoying. If Qora were relevant people wouldn't need to insult competitors trying to get their investors  Grin

Thanks for the bumps buddy, sorry that u didnt get to buy in ICO and are now crying  Grin. Developers aren't going to show you anything.

Too bad you can't ban people on BCT.  Cheesy

I never quite understood the type of trolling/fud people tend to take part in here. Even if a person's goal is to suppress a coin's price due to the perceived competition with a coin he is holding (which is a flawed goal to begin with), logically you'd think it'd work better if the person posted in a somewhat sane manner.

Research the coin, post valid concerns, maybe even post them several times. Then either it takes, or doesn't take.

Instead trolls post like they are morons, have no idea half the time what the coin they are fudding is even about, make up wild accusations (hey, these fonts look sorta, kinda similar to some other coin!), and then they go into insult mode. Why would they think that would be  taken seriously by anyone?

I've also seen iffy coins with real valid concerns actually do better due to trolling, just because the accusations were so moronic that people simply overlooked it as noise.

When a person posts repeatedly and goes around calling people 'fucktards', I take it the troll is either 14 years old, or simply a true troll ... meaning they have no intention of suppressing a coin's price, they just like being annoying. Either that, or they simply aren't very bright.

Year of the rabbit was 1999, so he is 15 for western ages, but 16 for Chinese ages.  The chinese count your first year as 1, not 0.

 Pretty close guess

Can the developer promise only to release Escrow until the coins source code has been verified?

Funds are already released and in control of the foundation, the coin is launched and functional ad even a quick glance will show it's a new system, and post launch development is already under way.

What's Escrow got to do with that?

A quick glance what the fuck are you talking about?

You said you were doing a third party audit soon, I suggest you wait till it's done to maintain some integrity. Your teams communication is screaming scam at every point now.

Evading the question, I'm going to go ahead and add anther point to prove this is a scam.

Rabbiter:

I have read your other posts, and they are all about "this and that coin is a scam".  Not one post, even in the Chinese forum, offering a constructive suggestion or support.  All you do is flame and demand open source release of Qora, Crypti, and other coins.

What is your goal?  Is it to tweak an open source coin and launch your own coin?  That's the whole reason that XCR is not releasing the code until after 3 months.

So stop your profanity filled flamer posts.

Would be great to have more detailed info about short term. 1-3 months is very inaccurate date. I think you should make more precise road map for 1-2 month.

What they are proposing is enough work for several full time developers.  They are in the process of hiring to get the software written, tested, and debugged.

One can never predict how long software takes to perfect.  The devs worked on the wallet for months, and still had to issue 5 fixes after launch for newly found issues.

Be patient..... the best is yet to come
If no one can predict anything, why we need road map. Maybe devs should write: "We will create some featues in one year. That is all we know."

Where is the Proof-of-Identity (or Validated Merchant):?

Try to create company, after 10 confirmations (10 forgers must check your website and accept it, first forger will accept it anyway), you will receive address to get 50% of fees from each transaction where your address is recipient. Service cost: 1000 XCR.

You domain must be provided without "www" (fixed in next version), working without redirects (fixed in next version).

1000XCR to register and be confirmed as a merchant.  Please explain where the 1000XCR goes.  How much to each of the 10 forger/verifiers, and how much to the Foundation?
