Welp! Great week I thought, getting 80 points (my highest so far).
My best week too so far with my highest getting 92 points. I know I will be better next GW.

Trippier...
He earned me my second highest points for the week very unexpectedly with his hattrick assist behind Saka who is now a doubt for Arsenal due to injuries. It look's like he is the next to be added to Arsenal's list of injury that is growing, Thomas Partey, Martinelli, Trossard, Rice and now Saka.

Saka is on many many people's team, will you transfer him out?
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which games offer the best chance of a big win? on: September 26, 2023, 03:22:19 PM
Let's settle this! Based on your experience which game is more likely to bring a big win - slots, table games or crypto games?
The game more likely to bring you a big win is the game you are more conversant with and know how to play best. It will not do you any good if you keep trying out every game when gambling, choose a niche and become a master of it. With that approach, your chances of winning improves.

If you are used to slots, play slots.
If you are used to table games in brick and mortar casinos, play them! or look for these games on online casinos where they are featured and play them.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges have to learn and improve on their security on: September 26, 2023, 03:04:12 PM
~
You are always advised not to store your bitcoins on exchanges. As a step to ensure your personal security cold wallets are recommended for use because they are not connected to the internet and operate offline.

You should never fully trust exchanges no matter how big their name is because since almost everything is hackable, you will not know when hackers will decide to want to exploit security vulnerabilities that these exchanges are unable to detect on time or vulnerabilities that they choose to overlook.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the rise and popularity of cryptocurrencies be a vivid example? on: September 25, 2023, 07:45:47 PM
As a result of increased demand, the value will rise, possibly keeping up with the market and preventing inflation in the long run.
The popularity of bitcoins will increase its demand, and with a limited supply, the value will increase as well. It is a vivid example of a situation that will influence the price and value of bitcoins in the future.

You did not express yourself so well@OP, so some forum members will find your topic and what you wrote down to be confusing.

Welcome to the forum, you can do better Smiley

How does "we're hacked, you can't withdraw" reduce worries?
It will not eliminate worry, but people can know what is happening instead of remaining in the dark.
766  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Mixin Safe Signature Campaign | MultiSig+Timelock+PMC on: September 25, 2023, 08:32:38 AM
Hey Royse777,
Should this campaign really continue advertising Mixin after this news?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5459401.msg62898200#msg62898200
I do not think it should directly affect the campaign, in less than a week, the issue will most likely be rectified, the loophole identified and the chances of it happening again stopped.

Warning everyone that Mixing Networks suspended services after database hack involving $200 million, so temporarily they suspended deposit and withdrawal services!
SlowMist is investigating this hack, and I am thinking if only coins got stolen or personal information of customers (phone numbers, email addresses) are also exposed.
This is how ''safe'' cloud services are, and this is how ''decentralized'' this  network is.  Tongue

Official Mixin tweet:

Quote
[Announcement] In the early morning of September 23, 2023 Hong Kong time, the database of Mixin Network's cloud service provider was attacked by hackers, resulting in the loss of some assets on the mainnet. We have contacted Google and blockchain security company @SlowMist_Team
to assist with the investigation. After initial verification, the funds involved are approximately US$200 million. Deposit and withdrawal services on Mixin Network have been temporarily suspended. After discussion and consensus among all nodes, these services will be reopened once the vulnerabilities are confirmed and fixed. During this period, transfers are not affected.

Regarding how to deal with the lost assets, the Mixin team will announce the solution afterward. Mixin founder Feng Xiaodong will explain this incident in a public Mandarin livestream at 13:00 HKT on September 25, 2023. Please help spread the word. We will summarize the content in English afterward for easy reference. We will try our best to minimize the losses and deeply apologize for this. Thank you, everyone, for your continuous support

I had this notification, I like that the Mixin group were prompt to notice the attack and send out notifications to users of the app to know about why the deposit and withdrawal services have been suspended temporarily. It will reduce the tension that would have been experienced if users had noticed it without a prompt notification for the reason.

I am looking to see the announcement by the mixin team. These are kind of experiences that make a project stronger

This is my first FPL attempt and while it hasn't been smooth, I'm enjoying the experience so far. As for Rashford, my patience for him is wearing thin with each passing gw that he ends up blanking. I'm beginning to think that my selection of Rashford wasn't objective but biased. I don't know, maybe because he didn't really well last season.
I made many selections that were not objective too, and I am paying the price for those decisions. It has been a much better week for me for some of my players like Mitoma, Saka, Fernandes...but for Jackson, this was his last week in my team, I have given him all the chance he can get.

Many injuries this season, affecting different players in different clubs. Rice was subbed off, I hope it is not another serious injury that will make him not be able to play against Manchester City. Trossard failed to make the lineup, a mild discomfort as described by Arteta so maybe he will be in the line up for our next game if Martinelli has not returned as well.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gives the poor an Opportunity. on: September 23, 2023, 11:39:51 PM
Every other investment I know requires you to have a lot of money before you can make a reasonable profit.
You also need to invest heavily into bitcoins if you must make a reasonable profit. But like some other investments, investment in bitcoin allows you to do it in fractions and in amounts you can afford to spare for investment.

So bitcoin actually offers opportunity to the poor to at least be able to have some kind of investment and hope for the future.
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: September 22, 2023, 09:51:56 PM
I don't think Alvarez is still trying to secure his place in the Manchester City's squad he's already got his place already, and with Bernardo Silva out injured, Alvarez is probably Man City best chance creator, perhaps along side Rodri, and De Bruyne is out for the rest of the year, so aside Haaland, Rodri and Ederson, there is no one else with a guaranteed spot that Alvarez. It's just all about what Guardiola does so very often, which rotate his squad but he doesn't quite have that luxury for now btw.
Bernando Silva out for Manchester City due to injuries, Jack Grealish returns from injury and may play against Nottingham Forest.

Manchester City where doing well even with out him, and now that he is back, he will have to struggle to keep his place in Pep's team. Alvarez will still keep starting.
772  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quality over Quantity on: September 22, 2023, 04:26:01 PM
Recently I've seen alot of threads where people just jump into writing an incredible episode without putting their readers into consideration.
I'm not a fan of reading very long articles and most times I think some posts ought to be simplified and summarized to get ease of attention and from my observation,  it seems most users confuse quantity with quality and think, writing very long post simply means the post has quality  which is wrong.

I've seen very short and straight to the point post doing extremely  very well on the forum and people ought to them learn from  them.
I read a lot of things daily, and unless I notice from the topic or the introduction that it is a discussion that has a good reason to be long, I scan through and look for the main points from each topic started. It saves me a lot of time and stress.

A long topic is not always a quality topic. I have read lots of long pointless before, and then very reasonable short topics with a point. The target of writing should be for effective communication and that happens when you have been understood. If your long writing does not make understanding easy, you have wasted the time of your readers.
773  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should newbies invest with small capital in BTC on: September 22, 2023, 04:00:32 PM
So How Much To Invest??
All newbies are not in the same financial level.

Some newbies are not investing in bitcoins because they are seeking where to invest in to get money from with their small capital, some newbies are doing okay financially, just looking for how to diversify their investments for the future so they have enough capital to invest big when they have understood the risks.

Newbies should invest little in bitcoins when they do not understand the risk, not when they know the risks, have the capital to invest big but just refusing to do it because they consider themselves newbies.
774  Economy / Economics / Re: Small Scale Business Ideas on: September 22, 2023, 07:09:05 AM
On this board I often see a lot of discussions related to investment and finance which tend to be large scale. However, to start investing we need capital. How do you find capital for investment?
Capital can be gotten from your savings if you have any, if you do not have savings, then you can start saving for a target business to start. Capital can also come from grants, when you have a really good business idea, if you are able to organize it well into writing with a clear strategy to make profit, you can get an Angel investor.

Digital services are a business with minimal risk and small capital (no need to procure new inventory), for example design, printing, bill payment services, and many more.
There are still risk in the businesses that you have mentioned and they may not be minimal. For printing for example, if you are able to get a big printing deal that should be profitable to you and you make mistake in the printing or it does not come out well from machine, you will spend extra, sometimes even your profit in trying to correct the errors from the job.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was the idea behind the creation of Bitcoin? on: September 22, 2023, 06:33:39 AM
Come to think of it ,understanding the reason something was created gives you the best sense of use and therefore an edge over others in the same space which in this case is the crypto space.
Bitcoin was created for use as a currency to terminate the need for third party control by the government. That is reason for bitcoins, yet for many of us despite having this understanding, we have accepted that as the best use for our bitcoins for the now, we should be hodling it, keeping it as an investment instead of a currency. That was not the reason for bitcoins, but I will not see someone who always use their bitcoin to make purchase and never keeping any bitcoins, as having an edge over me that has decided not to use bitcoins yet for what it was created for.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are no KYC casinos taking risks? on: September 22, 2023, 06:08:45 AM
so is it possible that those casinos doing their no KYC stuffs are not even registered?  [/b]
It is possible that they are not yet registered and have started illegally. Starting with no statement of KYC registration in sign up stage, deposit stage or even withdrawal stage in their "Terms of service" is a big red flag and sign of a casino that may just have been opened for a criminal reason, a casino with no intentions to remain in the business.

KYC requirement is not only to curtail money laundering activities, It is also helping to reduce the increasing number of underaged gamblers.

Become more stronger emotionally, even if you get criticized.

Members of the forum will say things as they want and most times are not concerned about how the person in subject may feel. It is not their duty to care about how you handle feedbacks that you get because like I have said before, to some people the things and language that you consider offensive are not offensive to them.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: September 21, 2023, 09:56:10 PM
That was my biggest mistake last season, I could say that literally cost not ending up on one of the winners list because, I was so hell bent on having Mo Salah for majority the beginning of the season, especially when Liverpool were having supposedly easier fixture, but Salah just was inconsistent, even though he provided a lot of points and one of the most in his position, my decision of captaining him, while having TAA cost me the ability to have a more valuable midfield options due budget.
The experience that many players have here playing is giving them an edge. I like to see when people recognize mistakes that cost them and from the experience avoid such from happening again. There was no last season for me, this is my first season and everything I am learning is from this season. I may not do as I expect this season, but I am pushing to see how well I can do in my first season.

Jackson is only one yellow card away from suspension. GET Alvarez for your piece of mind; he's in the best shape of his life right now, and with KDB and Kovasic out, he'll always play behind Halaand; he's the team's best creator right now. I might also get him.
This is very reasonable, Alvarez has been very consistent for Manchester City but he has only scored two goals in the premier league and Erling Haaland with seven goals making him the top scorer presently.
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Secure Your Legacy, Educate Your Loved Ones on: September 21, 2023, 09:23:10 PM
This is the saddest story I have read today. The lesson from it is to make the most of your time while you are here, both for yourself, family and friends. Do not relent on asking all the questions you need to ask about bitcoin so that you will be able to secure the financial well being of your  future generation in your absence. Do not just learn about bitcoin and keep the knowledge to yourself. Educate your kids, educate your spouse. Though they may not understand it at first but with time, they would. It will be painful if a bitcoin holder die after accumulating 1, 2, 10, 15 or any amount of bitcoins dies and his family can't have access to his bitcoin because he didn't teach or educate them about it. They would have missed out on the potential for financial security and prosperity that Bitcoin offers.
Unfortunately, some people never plan for death but they die untimely and suddenly before they could start letting or introducing any of their family members to what bitcoins are. The moment you start hodling bitcoins and you realize that the bitcoin you have is now big and will be lost if you die, you begin to make steps to making sure that it is not lost when that time comes because it can come at anytime. In addition to transferring the access to your next of kin from your family, you should also have taken the step to make sure that they understand what exactly is being transferred to them on your death.

Congratulations guys, a good start is always important for every race. I finished first too, but from the bottom, and I was awarded a wooden spoon for finishing GW1 in 52/52 Cheesy I made some wild choices and have learnt some little lessons I believe will help me get better result in the next GW. I know this poor result from this week will affect me, but something can happen in just one GW.

Over 80% of users filled in the sheets without mistakes. Pretty good eh?
It could have been better, but over 80% is a good statistic.
