781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is going on with ETH? on: September 20, 2018, 05:27:35 PM
ethereum drop simply because a lot of project are dumping it ICO for salary payments and the right reason is there is nt a mechanism that support the ethereum price right now
You mean no mechanism? Well in that case give me a cryptocurrency that has a mechanism of controlling its price. Even Bitcoin are being manipulated. IMO whales are controlling the crypto prices where the miners was meant to control it.

The miners are investing money to bring the bitcoin in life meaning they are the producers. If the price was controlled by them then we would not see this much price volatility.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is going on with ETH? on: September 20, 2018, 05:14:42 PM
Ah, good to see a self mod thread in Alt Discussion. The shit replies crossed 20+ and you have trashed most of them, except keeping a few good ones.
Yes I had to keep it this way to prevent spamming. I have deleted some more posts too. Let's see how many more input we get.

Anyway, the last time I have seen - it went down 0.026. Now it's over 0.030 from last few days.

The dip might have been due to various reasons with the primary one being the ICO guys selling of their Eth

This could be a reason however I have seen some articles or something that was saying that most of the ICOs actually holding their ETH instead of selling. I can't remember where I read it but their summary was that it's a manipulation.

You get the same observation from here too..
So it's just a manipulation.

I'm having trouble getting images to show in preview... just want to make sure it works here before I actually post.  I'll delete this thread when I'm done Smiley

You are a newbie and newbies are restricted to post image. You can enable it by buying copper membership. Read this: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images

PS: As a newbie there are some more restriction you will face. You might consider reading this as well.
785  Other / Meta / Re: Be Honest; What would you do If you are a high rank member and In this situatio? on: September 19, 2018, 08:05:23 PM
... he blatantly refused the request.

I feel so sad about it and have refused talking to him now, but on a second thought I decided to seek the opinion of the high rank member.

Please can you deny your wife just 1 merit to rank up to Jr member?...
I would sit down with my wife, give her tips and advise on how to improve her forum experience. I will work with her very closely and will help her to make good posts. If she is curious and teachable then she will learn. She will make good posts then I will not have any issue to award her merit. In-fact, she won't need to depend on me, she will start getting merits from the forum members.
786  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Opportunity for Newbies and Anyone Interested. on: September 19, 2018, 08:01:58 PM
If you're so obsessed with merit you may never get one.
This shit is real! Seems like a lot these people out there do not understand the psychology of a human behavior. When you press too hard for something eventually it will bring frustration for you. Just keep making good posts.
787  Other / Meta / Re: Does the signature campaign accept copper members? on: September 19, 2018, 05:02:19 PM
Hello! I admit I'm a hunter. But today's bonuses are probably ineffective. Since the downgrade, we have tried a lot to improve the rank. Today I have to spend some money to buy copper member. The purpose is to get some benefits in the forum. But I see the signature campaigns do not accept copper members. Is this unfair to people like me? With this post I would like to have a good person rescue me. You know, the amount of money I can buy for a copper member can be used to buy food for a week. Thanks for reading.
Sorry because english is not my native language
I feel bad for you but hey(!) these rules are for everyone. Don't take it personally. The forum (community) wants you to do good job for the forum, make quality post, help the community and in the mean time - the forum also needs to stop spammers hence all these new requirements and stuffs. I am sure some day you will get used to it.

Try creating good posts and be a community person.

Update:
Looks like a copper member can have a signature. Check this OP: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5032765.0

788  Other / Meta / Re: Error 500 on JetAid but no other account on: September 19, 2018, 04:55:47 PM
Has anyone got any ideas as to what I have managed to mess up?
Nothing from your side.

So, those newbies were actually having issues with posting then. I guess the code messed up somewhere when theymos updated the codes for Jr. merit requirement. In that case only theymos can fix it.

791  Other / Meta / Re: Should we look through the post history before awarding merit to newbies? on: September 19, 2018, 10:02:32 AM
What do you think about that?
I have done this few times before realizing that I should not do that. Merits are for quality posts. If a person takes time to compose a response with thoughts then that post deserves merit IMO, I will not care about grammatical mistakes and stuffs, I will not discourage it just because their English is poor,  I may check plagiarism but I certainly, will not justify the post by looking at the persons post history.

Awarding merit should not be too hard.

This person is trying to sell his own account to different buyers. I will pay 0.01 ETH for five users who will leave negative feedback here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=1005932

Leave feedback and send the address of your ETH wallet to this topic.
Trust system is not for trading. I guess this should be considered shady behavior and community should decide what could be the coincidence. From moral stand - I think you should get a warning for this attempt of trading trust system.

I don't see any proof he's trying to sell an account.  Can you provide some evidence of that?  I checked his posts quickly and didn't see anything.
Can you see OP is offering to pay to give neg trust to that account?

And no offense but I'd rather a higher rank, green trust member be the escrow.  I know it's not a lot of money, but still...

I have no issue with LFC_Bitcoin by the way besides the amount is not that much; at-least not 20BTC!  Tongue
794  Other / Off-topic / Re: A generous act, who wants some merit? on: September 18, 2018, 03:42:15 PM
Hi, I'm meriting all NON-NEGATIVE trust rated members....

So you are saying I have no right to get merits (I have two red trust FYI) on my posts even if I create good posts? May be you are right or...?

http://loycevsbasement.privatedns.org/Merit/history/1432468.html

I and other few members always consider merit should not have anything to do with trust by the way. Merit should be awarded to posts which worth receiving merit.

Note: The merits were given mostly on Bounty campaigns, meaning they want to keep up with the bounty/signature campaign and some good hearts were/are helping them ( Grin) . It's not rocket science that given merits were not usual merit sending.

I am thinking to take a break for a week from meta board  Grin

I watch few boards and enabled email notification for the boards, meta is one of them. I went out for few hours today meaning I was not able to check my email. When I came back (after 5-7 hours) I end up having over 250 emails from BitcoinTalk and if I am not wrong than more than one quarter from meta board only LOL

1st of many pages (notice the time between the notifications LOL)
